Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Monster and the Sniper. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own MHA Shonen Jump, Kohei Horikoshi and a few others do.

A blast of water cut through mortar and brick like it was made of nothing.

"I don't want to hurt you, Nagant." He stated as the counter attack destroyed the chimney next to him. "I know your good, but your achille's heel is obvious." He added while he turned to look to the side as fresh rain started to fall.

He couldn't see her, obviously she had taken a sniper's position. It was quite clear that she knew the terrain, the ambush had been placed in advance. Nagant was a hunter, she'd pin him down, but she was just as much cornered as he.

"This is going to be ridiculous…" Storm Surge stated as he peaked his head and almost had a shell destroy his head.

"STAY BACK!" Nagant hissed, her voice as venomous as a snake.

Storm Surge guessed that the rain wasn't effecting her shot. Nothing bothered Nagant when it came to her craft, he was fighting a cornered rattlesnake.

"Nagant, I now he got to you." Storm stated as he picked a brick out from the rubble. "But running isn't going to get you anywhere." Storm stated and threw the brick in Nagant's direction.

It was cut in half before it even reached the apex of its arc. He used to move forward while blasting a beam of water from his arm, curious as to what was driving the sniper hero in her fight.

"What will happen when better heroes then me hunt you?" Storm questioned as another crack split the air. "You're going to kill EVERYONE that tries to get in your way?" Storm added while picking himself up off the ground.

He heard footsteps approaching as he turned to see the glint of a barrel. He spun just as the crack of noise signified a single shot which pulverized the pavement under him as he turned to face her.

Still? He was caught off guard as she pulled back her arm for another shot. Storm Surge turned, firing a beam of water which threw her into the wall behind her.

"Your heart's not in this, Nagant." Storm stated, climbing to his feet. "If you wanted me dead? That first shot would have gone RIGHT through my skull." Storm stated as he glared at the sniper hero.

She looked at him before firing once more at the same time he blasted her with water once more. The bullet threw him across the roof and into a brick wall. He could feel every inch of pain crossing his body as he thought about what came next.

"Hmm…" Nagant stated as she looked at the wounded hero before he fired another blast of water. "You've been following me around like a puppy for years, Storm. The hero society is a joke." Nagant added as she twisted her arm to fire at her.

"I know they turned you into an assassin." Storm responded as he rushed at her. "I know they took away your optimism and ground it into dust. You think nobody cares before you, that your just a tool." Storm stated, leaping towards her only for her to roll to the side and pivot to get a better shot at him.

Storm was faster, however, grabbing her gun arm and twisting her around before throwing her to the ground. He looked at her with interest as he looked down, curious over how this fight would play out.

"I don't want to hurt you, Nagant." Storm warned as he shook his head. "Did you even plan this? Your smart, you'd have me on the back ropes in minutes. I know you, you're a snake… A good snake." Storm added while looking to the side.

Nagant glared at him as rain continued to fall, showering the duo in rain as Storm hummed. He lifted his foot to allow Nagant to get up as he crossed his arms.

"You're not a monster just because they wanted one." Storm added, raising a eyebrow under his costume. "They wanted a weapon, didn't they? Someone who'd kill the scum before they became an issue. You snapped because they wouldn't let you break the leash." Storm added, pointing out why the hero had done this.

Nagant looked up at Storm who was leaning against the wall and looking at her, waiting for her to do something. He knew Nagant enough to understand that if she HAD wanted to kill him? She'd have done so, her heart wasn't in the fight, that much was obvious more then anything. He still could not lower his guard around the sniper, however. He was brave… Not stupid, that much should have been obvious to her when it came back to it.

Nagant slowly climbed to her feet and brushed herself off while Storm closed his eyes. She hummed as she staggered towards him with interest.

Author Notes

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to apologize for the chapter being shorter and such. Next chapter will be longer. I will point out Nagant is supposed to have a past with Storm. Next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show more about Nagant and Storm talking. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
