[Galar Route Five]
Morning came and Lincoln Loud already left the Pokemon Center in Turffield to start making his way to Hulbury to challenge the gym leader Nessa!
Lincoln knew that he had his work cut out for him as unlike Milo none of his Pokemon had a type advantage over Nessa and her water type Pokemon!
Lincoln also heard that despite being the second gym leader Nessa is quite tough and that besides Kabu, she's one of the hurdles many trainers have to come across when participating in the gym challenge!
'I think it's about time I had some additions to my team since if I don't I have a feeling I'm never going to beat Nessa. Raboot has a clear disadvantage against her water type Pokemon. Chewtle would be a good choice or maybe Rookidee but I would feel more secure if I had more Pokemon to my team.' thought Lincoln as his stomach started rumbling.
"I guess I did skip out on breakfast."said Lincoln to himself with embarrassment as he decided to set up for breakfast.
Lincoln quickly pulled out some food bowls from his trainer cube and started pouring Pokemon food and each one of them for their respective owners!
Lincoln put Pokemon food infused with spices for Raboot. Sour taste for Chewtle. Sweet taste for Rookidee. And Finally mild taste for Butterfree.
"Alright come on out everyone!"exclaimed Lincoln as he tossed his pokeballs in the air releasing all of his Pokemon from their Pokeballs.
The Pokemon look like they were still sleepy until they smelled their Pokemon food. It was only then that they fully awoke as they ran towards their food as fast as they could and use their sense of smell to tell which one was theirs.
Raboot began stuffing his cheeks full of his Pokémon food as Rookidee and Butterfree were taking their time chewing theirs! Chewtle on the other hand was just chowing down on his Pokemon food!
Lincoln smiled as he pulled out some cereal bars that he bought at the Pokemon Center and was about to eat one when suddenly something carrying a giant leek struck the bar from his mouth!
Lincoln was confused by this until he saw some kind of avian Pokemon was the one responsible.
Lincoln didn't recognize the Pokemon so he pulled out his Pokedex.
Pokedex: Farfetch'd, the wild duck Pokemon! The Farfetch'd of the Galar region are brave warriors and they wield thick, tough leeks in battle.
This Farfetch'd is what is known as a regional variant! Normal Farfetch'd are normal/flying types while here in Galar they are pure fighting type Pokemon.
"Wow I could use a fighting type Pokemon on my team and I can tell by the way you knocked my breakfast out of my mouth that you want to fight!"said Lincoln as the wild duck Pokemon had his back turn to him.
"Far Farfetch'd!"said Farfetch'd as he turned around and waved his wing around like he was saying to Lincoln come and get some.
"Man you have guts... I like it I definitely going to make you my Pokemon!"said Lincoln with a smile as he called out a Pokemon with a type advantage.
"Rookidee come over here and let's capture this Pokémon!"said linking with a smile as Rookidee stopped eating and flew towards the wild duck Pokémon.
Farfetch'd accepted the challenge and try to use brutal swing on Rookidee!
"Dodge and use peck!"exclaimed Lincoln as Rookidee barely avoided getting struck and used peck attack on Farfetche'd!
This attack was super effective but Farfetch'd didn't seem to mind as it simply smiled as it stared down when it's opponent and used rock smash on Rookidee, sending the tiny bird Pokémon flying before managing to study itself in mid-air.
"Hah fighting type of attacks won't be super effective against a flying type Pokemon! Now Rookidee use peck again!"ordered Lincoln as the tiny bird Pokemon swooped down to the wild duck Pokemon.
Farfetch'd accepted this challenge and swung is leek around preparing to use brutal swing and counter the super effective attack before it struck!
"The Pokedex wasn't kidding when it said that you were a great warrior and that is exactly what I'm going to add you to my team!"said Lincoln before noticing that something was going on with Rookidee!
"Rookidee what's wrong?"asked Lincoln as a tiny bird Pokemon started glowing as it's determined Spirit to defeat its opponent has allowed it to evolve!
"Wow!"said Lincoln as Rookidee began to grow in size and change its shape drastically as its wings became bigger and it's tiny body started to form on more natural avian look!
Soon the light dissipated and a new Pokemon stood there where Rookidee once stood!
Lincoln pulled out his Pokedex to identify the evolved form of his Pokemon!
Pokedex: Corvisquire, the raven Pokemon! Smart enough to use tools in battle, these Pokémon have been seen picking up rocks and flinging them or using ropes to wrap up enemies.
"Corvisquire!"exclaimed the raven Pokémon as he looked at the wild duck Pokémon who just smiled as he was impressed as he could tell he was fighting a much stronger opponent.
"Farfetch'd immediately charged towards Corvisquire and tried to use brutal swing but the Raven Pokemon countered with a new attack known as pluck causing super effective damage!
"Yes you learned pluck Corvisquire! Now use it again and finish this battle!"ordered Lincoln as Corvisquire charged up it's attacking charge towards the wild duck Pokemon!
Farfetch'd meanwhile was getting up from the floor before it could only see the upcoming attack but it was too late as it was struck with super effective damage sending it falling to the floor with its leek landing on top of it!
"Go Pokeball!"yelled Lincoln as he tossed the Pokeball at Farfetch'd!
The Pokeball struck the wild duck Pokemon's head before it enveloped it with light and fell to the floor as it began wiggling! Lincoln and the rest of his Pokemon held their breath wondering if it was going to work as the Pokeball continued to wiggle and wiggle with each passing second that felt like minutes or hours!
Soon the wiggling stopped as a click sound was heard indicating that Farfetch'd has been successfully captured!
"Yes I just caught a Farfetch'd!"said Lincoln as he held the Pokeball high in the air as his Pokemon cried out a Battle cry for their trainers success!
"Now that I have a new addition on my team I feel more confident in my gym battle with Nessa."said Lincoln as he looked at the Pokeball containing Farfetch'd.
Lincoln just smiled as everyone continued with breakfast as Lincoln pulled out another cereal bar and began eating it.
It wasn't ideal but when you're on the road you can't exactly prepare breakfast without the proper equipment. He could have made himself a proper breakfast but he wanted to get to Hulbury as soon as possible.

After breakfast all of Lincoln's Pokémon were back in their Pokeballs as he made his way to Hulbury before noticing some building that said Pokémon nursery on the front.
Letting his curiosity get the better of him Lincoln started making his way over to the nursery and quickly went inside to see that the place was filled with a bunch of baby Pokemon and a lot of people looking like they were taking care of them.
Before Lincoln could say anything a bunch of people pulled out fireworks and fire confetti at Lincoln.
"Congratulations young trainer you are the 100,000 gym challenge or two arrive at our Pokemon nursery which means you earn a special prize!"said one of the nursery caretakers.
"Wow what did I win?"asked Lincoln as this is the first time he's ever won a prize just by showing up.
"This Toxel that has hatched from an egg a good while ago."said the nursery caretaker as she pulled out the Pokemon in question that look like a purple baby lizard with a diaper.
Lincoln pulled out his Pokedex to identify the Pokemon in front of him.
Pokedex: Toxel, the baby Pokemon. It stores poison in an internal poison sac and secretes that poison through its skin. If you touch this Pokemon then a tingling sensation follows.
"Don't worry as Pokémon poison isn't that dangerous to humans. It would take large amounts of poison to do any harm so you should be okay."said the caretaker causing Lincoln to let out a side of relief as he picked up the baby Pokemon.
"So you're a electric / poison type Pokemon... you are just the answer I need to take on Nessa. Thank you all I promise to take good care of him."said Lincoln as he was handed Toxel's Pokeball by one of the caretakers and he quickly called the baby Pokemon back to its Pokeball.
"I might just visit this place again. Thanks again for the new addition to my team."said Lincoln as he left the Pokemon nursery with a smile on his face.
"Great I just caught a new Pokémon and I didn't even have to do any work! I can't wait to train these guys so they could be the best that there ever was!"said Lincoln to himself as he continued walking down to Hulbury until the sun set!

Yeah I decided to add these two additions to his team since I think they fit Lincoln pretty well.
Also I decided to evolve Rookidee into Corvisquire as it was about time it got an upgrade!
