[Royal Woods]

As Lincoln was training for his rematch with Nessa near route five, his friends back in the United States had plans of their own as Currently Clyde, Ronnie Anne, and Sid had plans to visit Lincoln's grandfather Albert with the intention of asking him to get them in contact with Professor Magnolia with their ultimate goal is to getting her to allow them to go to Galar to meet up with Lincoln/become Pokemon trainers like Lincoln.

Currently Clyde was the first one making his move as he had an Ace in the hole for a reason to go visit Albert... his grandmother Nana Gayle, who supported his idea of becoming a Pokemon trainer.

"We almost at Royal Woods retirement home Clyde and I must say I'm happy how much better you're feeling now that you know your friend is safe and sound with a friend of his grandfather's."said Howard as he was the one currently driving their family vehicle.

"Yes mom was so happy to hear how much better you've gotten and how you want to go see her every weekend to cheer yourself up."said Harold as he was glad Clyde was coming out of his shell after shutting himself down after his best friend disappeared.

"Yeah I'm really feeling much better so I really want to give it my all and Nana Gayle is more than happy to help me."said Clyde who won like his parents his grandmother knew exactly what he was planning... and she supported it fully

[Flashback]

"I'm really sorry for being so selfish Nana but this is something I really want to do as I'm completely honest I'm jealous that Lincoln is right now experiencing the adventure of a lifetime as he travels with his... Pokemon from place to place learning more about himself."said Clyde who wondered how much Lincoln had grown since Lincoln went to Galar up till now.

"Clyde I'm not mad not at the least. In fact when I learned the whole story about Pokemon and whatnot I thought it was only fair that you should go to as I know you and Lincoln love each other like brothers and it's more than fair that you experience what he is experiencing."said Nana Gayle with a sweet smile on her face.

"But I'm using our visit as an excuse to convince Albert and my parents to let me go after I give them a presentation."said Clyde who hated being so selfish as using his Nana's visits as an excuse.

"Clyde Clyde Clyde you have to learn to be a little selfish sometimes as I know your heart is in the right place and you're almost always such a good boy but you need to learn that sometimes it's good to be selfish. I understand why you're doing this I really do and I'm more than happy for you because as much as your parents don't like it you need to experience the world as the world can be a scary place and you need to be strong in order to stand above it." said Nana Gayle as she felt Clyde needed to leave his bubble his parents had put around him in order to become strong as they wouldn't be there forever to protect him and she felt like this Pokemon trainer business would more than help them to grow stronger and be a big strong boy that will eventually become a big strong man ready to face the problems of the world.

"Thank you Nana... thank you!"said Clyde as he hugged his Nana Gayle who quickly returned the hug.

"I really hope you succeed in your plan Clyde."said Nana Gayle as she could tell this is something Clyde really wanted to do and she knew with his friends by his side he would be okay.

[Flashback End]

'I really hope this plan works.' thought Clyde does he knew how overprotective his parents were and they would really be against the idea of sending him to the other side of the world to be with Lincoln and enjoying him on his journey.

Hopefully with his Nana Gayle's support he will achieve this as his grandmother can be very convincing.

Meanwhile Just a few cars away from the McBride family vehicle was the Casagrandre Mercado van being driven by Maria with Bobby, Rosa, Hector, Ronnie Anne, Sid and her family that consisted of her mother Becca, her father Stanley, and her little sister Adelaide being the other passengers inside the van.

"I still can't believe you want to come see Lori and Lincoln's grandfather Ronnie Anne."said Bobby as Ronnie Anne and Sid try to keep on straight faces as they were not good liars but they knew they needed to lie a bit for their plan to work.

Ever since learning the existence of Pokemon all Ronnie Anne and Sid wanted to do was go to where Lincoln was and become Pokemon trainers as well. Sid couldn't believe that there were so many animals in the world that even her mother didn't know about as when she asked her about Pokemon Sid's mother asked her what she was talking about.

Sid couldn't believe this I wanted to know everything about Pokemon and Like Ronnie Anne she couldn't stop thinking of Albert's Melmetal. She couldn't believe that a sentient creature made entirely out of metal existed but since she saw it with her own eyes she couldn't doubt it at all.

"Yeah this place is really beautiful as it's different from the big city life as you can call Royal Woods the Staten Island of Great lake City."said Stanley as he looked over at some train cars and took pictures as he was a huge fan of trains as he was a train conductor after all.

"I still can't believe Ernesto Estrella predicted all of us to come to Royal woods today Rosa."said Becca who normally wouldn't have come if Rosa wasn't so convincing.

"I Know and it's so weird, but the man has never steered me wrong yet so I believe in his predictions."said Rosa as Sid and Ronnie Anne chuckled nervously.

In reality Ronnie Anne convinced Ernesto to make his prediction that day as they kept in contact after the whole incident involving him saying that Great lake City was bad luck and because he's still older a favor and kind of afraid of her he made the prediction she asked him to do.

The prediction being that your closest family members come join you to visit a male friends grandfather... hey if it works it works.

"I am honestly interested and seeing this retirement home as I hear it has really good food. Who knows me and Rose aren't getting any younger so if it becomes necessary one day we might have to find a retirement home."said Hector who didn't want to be a burden on his children when he and Rosa could no longer take care of themselves.

"Yes I would like to check out this place myself."said Rosa who had the same mindset as Hector.

"I hope they have that really creamy yogurt that they serve the old people has that stuff is really tasty and it feels so good in your mouth."said Adelaide as that's the reason she was coming.

Soon both the Casagrande and McBride family vehicles stopped at Royal Woods retirement community and all three families got out of their respective vehicles.

Soon all three families entered the retirement community and quickly asked to see Albert and Nana Gayle as Clyde, Ronnie Anne, and Sid looked at each other and none of their heads as they knew it was game day and they only had one shot at this!

They needed to convince their parents to let them go to Galar to become Pokemon trainers enjoying Lincoln on his journey as that is something they absolutely wanted to do as they felt like this was the experience of a lifetime and they would be fools to pass it up.

Soon Albert and Nana Gayle arrived to meet up with the three families as Albert was caught off guard by this until he noticed Lincoln's friends and he put two and two together and quickly realized what they were up to.

"I'm sorry for tricking you Albert but they really want to do this more than anything else."said Gayle as she apologized for Albert as she reveals she was a part of this.

"No I should have realized that they would have want to do this too as they have the same eyes as Lincoln, full of determination."said Albert as he had a feeling that they would have come sooner or later.

"What is going on?"asked Harold as he wondered what his mother meant by what she said.

"Dad's me and Nana Gayle actually have something we want to talk to you about."said Clyde as he readied his game face for this as he knew it was one shot and one shot only.

"Yeah guys me and Sid also have something we want to talk about and it seems the stars have aligned with us coming here and asking you for something that is really important."said Ronnie Anne as she knew they couldn't tell them about Ernesto and their setup otherwise they would have said no flat out.

"What is going on!"asked the parents as it didn't take a genius to realize that their kids were up to something.

"How about we talk somewhere more private while I explained what is going on and why your kids brought you all here."said Albert as emotion for everyone to follow him and reluctantly the parents and the rest of the members of the McBride, Santiago, Casagrande, and Chang family's follow them.

Normally non of the Mcbride's, Santiago's, Casagrande's, or Chang's would have believed anything Albert explained to them if it wasn't for the fact that a giant goal of made of liquid metal with a lug nut for a head was staring down at them!

The families of the want to be Pokemon trainers looked on at the hex nut Pokemon who for some reason was flexing?

"So... let me get this straight. Lincoln is currently on the other side of the world with creatures just like this one and all of you want to go join him."said Maria who had summed up everything that her daughter and her friends had presented to them.

"Yeah mom that is basically what we want to do."said Ronnie Anne as she looked at her mother with a determined look.

"I still can't believe there are animals out there that even I didn't know about... I mean I wouldn't believe in myself if I didn't see a giant golem made of liquid metal standing in front of me!"said Becca that's currently her youngest daughter Adelaide was playing on top of Melmetal.

"Clyde why on Earth would you want to do something so dangerous?!"said Howard who felt like these Pokemon creatures were dangerous since looking at the size of the pokémon in front of him he could tell he could break a large tree in half with probably a single swipe.

"Because dad what kid in his right mind wouldn't want to experience this as I'm sure Lincoln is having the time of his life over there now as we speak."said Clyde as he looked at his dad's with clear indication that he wanted to do this.

"But Clyde you never been so far away from home it could be very dangerous."said Harold as he didn't want his son to be in any unnecessary danger.

"Son you and Howard won't be there forever to protect Clyde so I think it's a good idea he goes on this trip that way he learns more about the world and how it works."said Gayle as she knew her son could be very overprotective at times.

"But mother Clyde is only twelve. TWELVE! I no he has to learn more about the world but does he have to do it so young?"countered Harold as he felt Clyde was too young to be on his own.

"But Mr McBride Clyde won't be on his own as if he captures a Pokemon it will be by his side to protect him in case he is ever in danger."said Albert as Melmetal had always been there for him to protect him and his family throughout the years like the time it saved Rita from a very nasty fall that would have no less have left her with a permanent physical injury.

"Sid are you sure you really want to do this?"asked Stanley as he never thought his daughter would do something so... dangerous as well as mind-blowing.

"Dad there's an entire world of animals that even we didn't know about so I want to go to this Galar and see them all for myself with my own two eyes."said Sid who inherited her mother's love for animals, and upon learning about Pokemon she wanted nothing more than to meet them in person.

"But Ronalda this could be dangerous."said Bobby who only called his sister by that name when it was a serious situation.

"I know but I'll have my friends by my side as well as the Pokemon we will catch. I really want to do this guys and so do Sid and Clyde so please let us go!"said Ronnie Anne as the three looked at their parents with the puppy dog eyes.

" I think we should give Ronalda a chance."said Rosa surprising her family as she was usually very overprotective.

"Mom you're really okay with letting Ronnie Anne go?!"asked Maria she never expected her mother to agree with her daughter on this.

"Maria I know I can be... very overprotective but it's clear this is something Ronnie Anne really wants to do and who am I to stop her. She is young and she should experience what the world has to offer while she still has a chance. Besides this will not be a permanent departure as I'm sure they plan to come back home after they've had enough adventure."said Rosa as she looked at three.

"Yeah Mom I don't plan to be forever as I'll come home as soon as I complete my journey."said Ronnie Anne who never planned to stay in Galar forever.

"Yeah my home is with you dad's and I plan to come back home once I see the journey through the end."said Clyde who never planned to stay away from Royal Woods forever.

"Yeah I want to complete my journey along with them and come back home and tell you guys all about it."said Sid as the first thing she wanted to do was show off her Pokemon to her mother and the rest of her family.

"I agree with Rosa on this one as I can tell they are not lying as a man who has told many lives throughout his life I can easily tell that all of them are earnest about everything that is coming out of their mouths."said Hector as he took a bite of... large piece of chicken?

"I... I just don't think it's good to send kids off to an unknown place without any supervision."said Howard as he was clear that these three really wanted to do this but he didn't want him to go on supervised.

Bobby meanwhile was quiet for a while looking like he was trying to make some decision... and after a bit of contemplating about the pros and cons he decided to speak his mind.

"Then I'll go with them and act as there supervision."said Bobby surprising the adults in the room as they never expected him to volunteer for something like this.

"But what about Lori Bobby?"asked Ronnie Anne as she didn't think that Bobby being away from his beloved girlfriend was something he would want as they were already very far away from one another.

"It will be a little bit different but me and Lori have proven that we can make the long distance relationship thing work. Besides I can tell all of you really want to do this and I don't want anyone to be in your way. So Mr McBride, Mr McBride, Mom, Mrs Chang, Mr Chang... will it be okay for them to go to Galar if I go with them?"asked Bobby as it was clear to him that his little sister really wanted to do this and as a big brother it was his responsibility to help her out anyway he can.

The parents among the group began discussing one another about this as Bobby may be clumsy at times but he was responsible and sending him with them would certainly be of great relief.

"What do you think Magnolia?"asked Albert as he looked over at his many video phone who's screen was currently showing Professor Magnolia on the screen as she had been there the whole time listening.

"Well there's no rule against me helping these young children come to the Galar region as they do have a connection to a current trainer. But I'm afraid they won't be able to participate in the gym challenge since they neither have an endorsement and it's already too late to get one since the current gym challenge has already begun."said Professor Magnolia who had no problem sponsoring these friends of Lincoln to become Pokemon trainers, but because the gym challenge had already passed and they didn't have an endorsement there was no way they could challenge a gym stadium.

"We don't mind as we kind of expected this to happen."said Sid, as they figure something like this was going to happen

"Yeah we miss the deadline but there's always next time."said Ronnie Anne as when all of them were making their plan for today they figured that they already missed the deadline for the regional tournament or whatever they call it but there was always next time.

"Yeah but for now we just want to see Galar and everything it has to offer."said Clyde as he figured there was always another chance they could take on the gym challenge.

"I see then I guess there is no problem as long as your parents agree."said the Professor as she looked over at the parents to see what their decision would be.

The parents weren't sure about this as even if Bobby volunteered to go there was still a lot of unknowns. So they decided to speak directly to Processor Magnolia on their concerns.

"Professor Magnolia what are these Pokemon creatures like?"asked Maria as the professor smiled before answering.

"Well contrary to what you may believe there is hardly any bad Pokemon other. Pokemon are no different from you and me as they just want to live their lives peacefully and battle each other out in order to grow stronger. Also most Pokemon are complete herbivores as they prefer the taste of wild berries and Pokemon food over meat."said the Professor causing the parents to let out a sigh of relief as that was a huge load off their shoulders.

"Professor Magnolia our son means the world to us and we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves is something happened to him. I know we won't be there forever to protect him but can you promise us that he will be okay in this Galar."said Howard has Harold held his hand and nodded his head in agreement.

"Mr McBride and Mr McBride in all my years as a Pokemon professor I have never had a single major incident with a young trainer and the only thing that comes close is an injury that will heal with time. I have a feeling that young Clyde here has much potential and with Pokemon by his side I will guarantee you they will protect them until their very last breath."

Both McBride let out a side relief upon hearing that.

"Professor Magnolia our daughter means everything to us and I will admit that I'm very interested in these Pokemon creatures as I'm a zoologist and I work at the Great lake City zoo so I would be no better than a hypocrite to deny if I wasn't interested in all of this. I know you said that most of these Pokemon creatures said they were herbivores but will my daughter truly be okay?"asked Becca as her husband held her hand.

"Mrs Chang there are territorial Pokemon and there are Pokemon with bad tempers and a few bad eggs here and there like with any species. But most Pokemon are good creatures with kind souls and I can guarantee you that if you're a daughter catches Pokemon to be by her side they will protect her no matter what."

Both Becca and Stanley let out a side relief upon hearing that as Becca knew that all the animals at the zoo where her daughter's friends and she had no doubt in her mind that Sid could be friend these Pokemon creatures as well.

With a bit of contemplating the parents looked at their respective children to make their decision.

"We will allow you to go to Galar Clyde but I want you to listen to whatever Bobby says as he is older than you and it's his job to keep you safe. We really are worried about this but your Nana, Lincoln's grandfather, and the professor are right when they say you need to experience the world out there so please have fun and stay safe.

"The same goes to you Ronalda. Bobby is your older brother and I know you two are surround but I want you to listen to him while you're in Galar have a great time as I have a feeling both of you will enjoy this Grand adventure."

"Sid like they said listen to Bobby as he is in charge of taking care of you. I know that I can be reckless as time since I literally write an elephant and wrestle alligators but please don't do anything reckless out there. But it's clear this is something you really want to do so I won't get in your way just be on your best behavior and enjoy yourself."

Clyde, Ronnie Anne, and Sid had tears of joy run down there faces as they went over and hug their parents as tightly as they could as they were so happy that they were letting them go. They weren't expecting Bobby to join them but it's a small price to pay to join Lincoln on his journey and learn all about the Pokemon world.

"You no Mr Santiago you can become a Pokemon trainer as well as there is no age limit past eleven."said Professor Magnolia she saw no problem in Bobby becoming a Pokemon trainer as well.

"Really?! Well I guess I should enjoy myself in this Galar island as well since I'm basically joining them on the adventure of a lifetime. Geez I wonder what kind of Pokemon will join my team."said Bobby who certainly wasn't against the idea of becoming a Pokemon trainer... in fact he was quite excited.

"But what about me?!"asked Adelaide surprising everyone in the room.

"Adelaide?"asked Stanley wondering what his daughter was talking about.

"Oh come on everyone you think I'm going to let my big sister go on the adventure of a lifetime and not join her! I want to see these Pokemon creatures for myself as well and if you don't let me go I'm going to hold my breath until I stop breathing!"threaten Adelaide as she really wanted to go.

"Well young lady the Pokemon League does not allow you to participate in any competition until you are exactly eleven years old so the only thing you could really do is own a Pokemon or two and that's it."said Professor Magnolia as that's the most the Pokemon League would allow someone Adelaide's age to do.

"I understand. I have to be patient in the meantime so I'll capture several Pokemon and they will become my friends and together we will train together and play with one another until the day arrives when I can take on the gym challenge. I may be a little kid but I know the value of patience."said Adelaide wisely surprisingly adults as they never expected someone her age to act so mature.

"Well... if your parents agree to it I see no problem and you coming to Galar as well."said Professor Magnolia as there was no real reason not to let Adelaide go.

"Well... it's only fair that we send you as well."said Stanley as he did not want to play favorites with his daughters.

"Adelaide gets along with animals just as well as Sid so if she wants to go I see no problem. But be on your best behavior young lady and do whatever Sid and Bobby tell you."said Becca as it was clear Adelaide was not going to let this go until they agreed so they decided to cut out the middle man and agree.

"I understand Mom."said Adelaide as she was giddy with excitement that she couldn't wait to see who her first Pokemon would be.

Only fate and Arceus knew that answer but she will have to wait and see.

"So... Magnolia when can they depart?"asked Albert who figured that the soon to be Pokemon trainers would want to go as soon as possible.

"Well luckily for you I happen to buy five tickets to the states and back accidentally during one of my late night hours and I was so worried that they were going to go to waste but Arceus seems to have made it work out in their favor. I can pick them up as soon as tomorrow so I said yes all of you pack whatever necessities you need but not too much as you will be traveling around so you need to travel light."said Professor Magnolia she looked at the soon to be Pokemon trainers.

"We will!"they all said in unison as some of them had already packed up ready for the trip and all they needed was for Bobby and Adelaide to pack up as well.

"Well then I will see you all at the Great lake City airport tomorrow to please be ready."said Professor Magnolia before she excused herself and caught off the communication.

"Well then we need to get home and enjoy our last night together for a while."said Howard is Clyde and Harold followed him out of the room.

"Good to see you're still in good health mom."said Harold as he followed his family out of the room.

"Yeah us too as we need to help Bobby pack."said Hector but not before grabbing another plate of food and eating it on his way out with Rosa scalding him that he was going to ruin his appetite but Hector countered like he ever loses his appetite.

"Yeah we got to make sure Bobby has everything he needs for the trip."said Maria as the rest of the family walked out of the room.

"Yeah we going to enjoy our last night together and help Adelaide pack so we need to get going... plus they are our ride so."said Stanley as his family left the room.

"I wonder how Lincoln will react when he sees his friends joining him on his journey."

"You're not going to tell him are you?"inquired Gayle with a sly smile.

"Now that my friend would ruin the surprise."said Albert as he didn't want to spoil anything for Lincoln so he decided to keep his mouth shut until they rendezvoused with Lincoln in Galar.

Meanwhile the boy in question was training his Toxel, Corvisquire, and Farfetch'd for their upcoming rematch with Nessa when he suddenly sneezed and felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up.

"Why do I feel my journey is going to get more complicated?"

It's official as soon Clyde, Ronnie Anne, Sid, Bobby, and surprisingly Adelaide will soon join Lincoln on his journey throughout the Galar region.

How will this group of people affect Lincoln on his journey and what Pokemon will join them throughout the journey?
