[Galar Mines No Two]
Lincoln existed the mines after a few more encounters with trainers and a few board mine workers who wanted a Pokemon battle in between their brakes.
"Whew... that was not easy."said Lincoln as he was exhausted as his Pokemon were exhausted as well.
"I think we should really take a break."said Lincoln as his Pokemon, who were all currently out of their Pokeballs agreed.
Soon all of them sat down as the pokémon help themselves to some poffins made specifically for pokémon while Lincoln was eating an energy bar.
"Not much but will restock more on food when we leave Monostoke City."said Lincoln as they ran out of supplies over the last several days and he forgot to restock in Hulbury.
"Tomorrow is my gym battle with Kabu... I'm extremely nervous as they don't call him the first hurdle for nothing... mini gym challenges have already dropped out cuz they couldn't beat him."said Lincoln as his Rotom phone already reported at least eleven different gym challengers that have already dropped out!
"Man not only attacks you with strong physical attacks... but every time he uses a different pokémon he changes up his strategy to throw people off... they don't call him a veteran for nothing as the guy knows how to battle..."said Lincoln has he noticed that his hand was shaking.
"Even my instincts are telling me that he's going to be tough... but if I want to reach Leon I have to beat him..."Lincoln assured himself as he knew that Leon was waiting for him at the end of the gym challenge.
Meaning if you wanted to succeed he needed to beat the hurdle that was the ever burning man of fire Kabu!
"Rab Rab!"said Raboot as he and the rest of Lincoln's Pokemon finished their poffins and walked over to their trainer.
"I know Raboot... I really shouldn't be nervous but I am... is this what fear feels like... no it's not cuz I felt fear many times... this is what it feels like when you're facing the impossible and trying to overcome it..."said Lincoln if you wondered if Lynn ever felt this way when she was facing a much stronger player.
Or if Lori felt this way when she was facing a much better golfer, or if Luna was facing a musician or band better than her... was this the feeling a fear and excitement when you're facing someone who is more experienced and better than you and trying to beat them at their own game!
He honestly didn't know if he was afraid, excited, or both!
"Okay well Raboot I'm definitely using you in the next gym battle since fire type moves are not very effective against you and you can get burned if Kabu uses will-O-wisp."said Lincoln as he noticed through battles he watched of Kabu online is that that's how he likes to start things.
"Chewtle I should definitely use you since frankly you're the only Pokemon here with a type advantage over Kabu's fire types... but who should be my third Pokemon..."said Lincoln as he looked at his other Pokemon.
Farfetch'd would be a decent choice as it was a strong fighter. Toxel was also in excellent choice as he could throw
Kabu office game. Butterfree with an obvious no no because it was a bug type with a clear type disadvantage, and Corvisquire was a maybe?
"Hmm..."Lincoln said to himself as he was going to take another bite of his energy bar, only to realize that his energy bar was missing!
"What the?"asked Lincoln as he began looking around trying to find his energy bar when he noticed some kind of ghostly lizard Pokemon was eating it.
Not recognizing the Pokemon who had just stolen his food, Lincoln pulled out his Pokedex to identify the Pokemon in front of them.
Pokedex: Dreepy, the lingering Pokemon. After being reborn as a ghost Pokemon, Dreepy wanders the areas it use to inhabit back when it was alive in prehistoric seas.
"It says here that you're a Dragon and Ghost type... meaning you would certainly come in handy later down on the road."said Lincoln as he knew that dragon types were one of the strongest Pokemon types out there as they were resistant to most kinds of attacks and had a lot of advantages.
"Okay I decided I'm going to catch you!"said Lincoln with a smile as he quickly looked over to his Pokemon to see who would challenge Dreepy.
"Chewtle use bite!"ordered Lincoln as the snapping Pokemon charge towards the lingering Pokemon and used to fight, causing super effective damage as well as causing Dreepy to drop the energy bar!
This got the lingering pokémon's attention as it stare daggers at the snapping Pokemon and Lincoln before using astonish by releasing a ghostly wale as a shadow like creature attacked Chewtle, causing damage and startling the snapping Pokemon as he fell on his back
"Wow Chewtle are you okay?!"asked Lincoln as he was also startled by astonish as Chewtle rolled onto his feet and let out a Battle cry!
"Chew chew!"exclaimed the snapping Pokemon as he was ready to take on the lingering Pokemon for round two!
Dreepy upon notice this tried to use quick attack!
"Chewtle wait until Dreepy is within striking range and use bite!"ordered Lincoln as Chewtle stumped his foot into the ground and let out a battle cry Dreepy got within striking distance!
"Soon the projection of a map of razor sharp teeth appeared in front of Chewtle as he used bite on the lingering Pokemon, causing super effective damage since Dreepy was also a ghost type Pokemon!
"Dreepy..."said the lingering Pokemon as it fell to the floor and struggled to get up.
"Go PokeBall!"exclaimed Lincoln as he tossed a Pokeball at the lingering Pokemon!
Dreepy was struck in the head as the Pokeball flew a few inches away before opening up and absorbing the lingering Pokemon inside! The PokeBall then closed shut as it fell to the floor and began to wiggle as Lincoln and the rest of his Pokemon held their breath as they wondered if the Dragon type Pokemon would soon join them.
"Come on..."said Lincoln as he really wanted to add this Pokemon to his team before the Pokeball began to stop wiggling an a click sound was heard!
Indicating that Dreepy had been successfully captured!
"Yes!"exclaimed Lincoln as he grabbed the Pokeball and held it high in the air.
"I just caught a Dreepy!"said Lincoln before the Pokeball disappeared from his hand, he was confused by this at first before he remembered something from his textbook when he was getting his license.
"Oh yeah... if you have more than six pokémon already any Pokemon you capture will be automatically sent to the local professor's pasture... meaning that Dreepy is currently with Professor Magnolia."said Lincoln as he looked over at Chewtle.
"You did great buddy."said Lincoln as he sprayed some potion on the snapping Pokemon to heal it.
"Now let's head to the Pokemon center and send one of you with Professor Magnolia so I can get some time with Dreepy, and then head to the Budew Inn to get a good night's sleep."said Lincoln as he honestly wanted to stay in a hotel for a night and the Budew Inn was the perfect place to stay since all expenses were paid by the Pokemon League!

"Okay I sent Butterfree with Professor Magnolia for a while so let's get to know you my new friend."said Lincoln as he entered the Budew Inn after he did a quick stop at the Pokemon center to send Butterfree with Professor Magnolia so he could get Dreepy.
"I see you're as lively as ever."said a familiar female voice as Lincoln looked up and saw it was none other than Marnie.
"Marnie what are you doing here?"asked Lincoln as he wasn't expecting to see her of all people.
"Lincoln was it."said the girl that she walked down the stairs with some kind of hamster like Pokemon following her.
"Yeah you're right it's Lincoln."said Lincoln as he pulled out his Pokedex to identify the pokémon next to Marnie.
Pokedex: Morpeko, the two-sided Pokemon. As it eats the seeds stored up in its pocket like pouches, this Pokemon is not just satisfying its constant hunger. It's also generating electricity.
"Wow..."said Lincoln as he finally met a creature with Lana's level of hunger.
"I heard you ran into some of my fans in the Galar Mines... I would like to apologize for their behavior."said Marnie as she bowed her head.
"No worries as I know it's not your fault that they're out of control."said Lincoln as Marnie had nothing to do with what her fans were doing.
"I just don't get what is up with them as they never used to act like this."said Marnie and she wondered why her fans that consisted of Team Yell were acting like this?
"Who knows..."said Lincoln has he backed away a little as Marnie was a little too close.
'She smells really nice...' thought Lincoln as the girl in question looked at him with a look of confusion.
"Why did you back away?"she asked as Lincoln quickly looked around trying to find an excuse.
"I...I..I back the way cuz I want to challenge you to a Pokemon battle! Yeah that's why!"said Lincoln as he pulled out a Pokeball hoping that Marnie would buy his excuse!
"I see... well then let's test each other out."said Marnie with a small grin as Lincoln internally let out of sigh of relief that she bought it.
"Croagunk I choose you!"said Marnie as she tossed her PokeBall
"Raboot I choose you!"said Lincoln as he talked his PokeBall.
Soon Raboot any frog-like Pokemon appeared in the main lobby as Lincoln pulled out his Pokedex to identify Marnie's Pokemon.
Pokedex: Croagunk, the toxic mouth Pokemon. It makes frightening noises with its poison filled sacs. When opponents flinch, Croagunk hits them with a poison jab.
"So your a poison and fighting type huh."said Lincoln as he looked at the poison mouth pokémon.
"I'm surprised... you knew that my Croagunk's special ability was dry skin so you purposely use a fire type."said Marnie as she wasn't expecting that.
"Um...yeah... I did a lot of research on you."said Lincoln before he noticed that Marnie was shocked and blushing a little.
"No wait I didn't mean it like that!"he said in his defense as he quickly tried to think of an excuse.
"Um... Raboot use flame charge!"ordered Lincoln hoping that the battle would distract Marnie from his earlier comment!
"Croagunk use poison sting!"ordered Marnie as the toxic mouth pokémon began firing tiny needles of poison from her mouth!
"Dogde and continue using flame charge."instructed Lincoln as the rabbit Pokemon jumped into the air and use the momentum of his free fall to strike the toxic mouth Pokemon with flame charge!
"Croa!"exclaimed Croagunk as she staggered back as Raboot's speed increased.
"Revenge!"ordered Marnie as Croagunk became surrounded by a orange energy before the energy formed on to one of her hands and she struck Raboot, causing massive damage!
"Rab!"exclaimed the rabbit Pokemon as he fell back to Lincoln side.
"Raboot are you okay?"asked Lincoln as the rabbit Pokemon got up with clear signs of pain but quickly shook it off.
"Rab Boot!"said the rabbit Pokemon who was ready for more.
"Venoshock!"ordered Marnie as Croagunk fired a ball of liquid poison at Raboot!
"Dodge and use ember!"ordered Lincoln as Raboot immediately got out of the way and fired a blast of ember at Croagunk, causing more damage thanks to its dry skin ability.
"Flame charge!"ordered Lincoln as Raboot surrounded himself with flames before he moved at quick speeds at the toxic mouth Pokemon before striking Croagunk with flame charge!
Croagun fell back at she fell to the floor and was revealed to have been knocked out.
"Croagunk."said Marnie before she went over to see her Pokemon, before letting out a sigh of relief upon seeing that Croagunk was okay.
"Thanks for a good battle."said Lincoln as he returned Raboot back to his PokeBall.
."You did an excellent job out there more than deserve a good rest."said Marnie as she returned Croagunk back to her PokeBall.
"You're quite the strong opponents I'm going to make sure to remember your name as I have a feeling you're going to be a hurdle in my pursuit to be champion."said Marnie as she placed Croagunk's Pokeball away.
"Yeah and you're quite strong yourself, no wonder Team Yell believes in you so much."said Lincoln as the two extended hands and shook them.
"I'll be expecting you at the Rose Bowl so don't you dare think of quitting before you reach the end."said Marnie as she walked away into the elevator to head to her room for the night.
"Her hand was soft."said Lincoln as he's starting to think that Hop may be right.
He may have a crush on Marnie!

.Hey everyone I'm sure you saw the big announcement today! There are releasing a new Pokemon game in the winter of 2023!
I say Pokemon presents this morning and I was so excited to see the announcement of Pokemon Scarlet in Pokemon Violet!
All the starter Pokemon are so cute that I honestly don't know which one I'm going to choose! I think I'm going to have to see their final evolution around release time to choose!
Based on the names and graphics I'm guessing the new region is based around Spain or Portugal!
Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly are all so adorable in my opinion and it's going to be hard choosing which one I'm going to use a starter when the games come out at the end of the year!
Maybe I do a pokémon story based on Pokemon Scarlet in Pokemon Violet!
I wonder who the legendary Pokemons are going to be!
I wonder who's going to be the villian!
Who is going to be our rival!
The final boss or champion!
I am honestly so excited!
Also special announcement everyone as we're going to do a vote system!
You see the Isle of Armor is playable early on in the game so I was thinking.. let's put up a vote!
Should Lincoln and Company go to the Isle of Armor?
