"BEDE!"shouted Lincoln upon noticing that the rival that had the biggest attitude problem was the one behind the destruction of the beloved mural of Stow-on-Side!
"Oh, it's you. I thought you would have dropped out of the gym challenge by now after realizing how weak you are."said Bede as he was standing next to an elephant like Pokemon.
Lincoln pulled out his Pokedex to identify the Pokemon in front of him as he has never seen that Pokemon before.
Pokedex: Copperajah, the copperderm Pokemon. They came from another region long ago and worked together with humans. Their green skin is resilient to water.
"Destroy, Copperajah! As chairman Rose's beloved pokémon, your dreams must be the same as his dreams!"said Bede, as the copperderm Pokemon continued to attack the mural.
"BEDE! STOP!"shouted Lincoln with all of his might as he pulled out a pokeball.
"Oh, are you going to challenge me to a Pokemon battle?! I have already analyzed your battling strategy and know exactly how to defeat you!"said Bede as he pulled out a great ball.
"Lincoln! I heard shouting and rustling coming from here so I decided to check it out! What is that Copperajah doing?!"shouted Sonia as she made her way to the scene.
"That guy over there is ordering that Pokemon to destroy the mural!"quickly explain Lincoln as he and Bede got in positions for a makeshift battlefield.
"He's destroying the mural! But that mural has a long history with Galar! He can't destroy it! He has no right!"said Sonya with anger as she looked at the two trainers ready for battle.
"Dreepy, I choose you!"shouted Lincoln as he called out his ghost/dragon type Pokemon on to the field of battle.
"Dreepy!"shouted the lingering Pokemon as it was ready for battle!
"Duosion, stand by for battle!"shouted Bede as he called out a Pokemon for battle.
"Who's that Pokemon!"said Lincoln as he pulled out his pokédex.
Pokedex: Duosion, the mitosis Pokemon, and the evolved form of Solosis. It's psychic power can supposedly cover the range of more than half a mile- but only if it's two brains can agree with one another.
"So I see your Solosis evolved!"said Lincoln, as he remembered that Bede had a Solosis from the earlier encounter back in the mines.
"That's right! And now it's a lot stronger too! Duosion, use psybeam!"ordered Bede, causing the mitosis pokémon to fire a beam of psychic energy at the lingering Pokemon!
"Dreep!"said the lingering Pokemon as he saw the attack.
"Dodge and use bite!"ordered Lincoln, causing the lingering Pokemon to quickly float around the side beam attack before striking the mitosis Pokemon with bite, causing super effective damage as it was a dark type move!
"Use reflect!"ordered Bede, causing what appear to be a psychic wall of energy to appear in front of the mitosis Pokemon.
"Great! Now physical attacks will do half the damage!"said Sonia, causing Lincoln to let out a grown up frustration as he couldn't believe that bite wouldn't do the same damage as before.
"Use psybeam!"ordered Bede, causing the mitosis Pokemon to fire another blast of psychic energy at the lingering Pokemon!
"Use quick attack!"ordered Lincoln, causing the lingering Pokemon to be surrounded by white energy before it struck the mitosis Pokemon with quick speed.
"Now follow up with bite!"ordered Lincoln, causing the lingering Pokemon to once again bite the mitosis Pokemon with the dark type move, causing a great deal of damage.
"Duosion!"shouted Bede upon noticing that his Pokemon wasn't looking so good.
"Now finish this with astonish!"ordered Lincoln, causing the lingering Pokemon to strike the mitosis Pokemon with the Ghost type move, causing a great deal of damage as Duosion fell to the floor, revealing that he had been knocked out.
"No, it's not over yet!"said Bede as he recalled Duosion and pulled out another great ball and called out the Pokemon that was inside."Gothorita, come on out!"
"How's that pokémon!"asked Lincoln as he once again pulled out his Pokedex to identify the Pokemon in front of him.
Pokedex: Gothorita, the manipulate Pokemon, and the evolved form otmf Gothita. It's said that when stars shine in the night sky, this Pokemon will spirit away sleeping children. Some call it the witch of punishment.
"So your Gothita evolved as well!"said Lincoln, as he looked at the lingering Pokemon for a second before we calling it."Dreepy, return!"
Lincoln then pulled out another pokeball."Wartortle, I choose you!"
"So I see you replaced your Chewtle with a Wartortle!"said Bede with a smile.
"Gothorita, use psybeam!"ordered Bede, causing the manipulate Pokemon to fire a beam of energy at the turtle Pokemon!
"Wartortle!"shouted a total Pokemon as it was struck with the psychic type attack, taking damage.
"Use bite!"ordered Lincoln, causing the turtle Pokemon to jump into the air and bite the manipulate pokémon as soon as the descended with the dark type move, causing super effective damage!
"Did you teach all of your Pokemon and dark type move just to have an advantage against me?! Pathetic!"shouted Bede with clear malice.
"Use rock tomb!"ordered Bede, causing the manipulate Pokemon to create a bunch of rocks from seemingly out of nowhere before launching them at the turtle Pokemon!
"Jump on the rocks and use bite!"ordered Lincoln, causing Wartortle to smile before he began jumping from rock to rock, then he began his descent towards the manipulate Pokemon in striking it with another bite attack, again causing super effective damage!
"Gothorita!"shouted Bede!
"Finish this with water gun!"ordered Lincoln, causing the turtle pokémon to take in a deep before he fired a blast of water from his mouth.
Gothorita looked on before she was struck with the water gun attack, causing a great deal of damage as she fell to the floor and was revealed to have been knocked out!
"No, I won't let it end like this!"shouted Bede as he recalled Gothorita and pulled out another great ball, calling out the Pokemon that was inside!"Ponyta, come on out!"
Lincoln meanwhile said nothing as he pulled out his Pokedex.
Pokedex: Ponyta, the unique horn Pokemon, Galarian Form. It's small horn hides a healing power. With a few rubs from this Pokemon's horn, any slight wound you have will be healed.
"So a Pokemon similar to my Farfetch'd!"said Lincoln as he pulled out a pokeball.
"Wartortle, return!"said Lincoln as he recalled the turtle Pokemon and pulled out another Pokemon.
"Raboot, I choose you!"shouted Lincoln as he called out the rabbit Pokemon for battle.
"So you're going with your main Pokemon! I see it's involved too but let's see how you handle the power of a fairy and a psychic type! Ponyta, use fairy wind!"ordered Bede, causing the unique horn Pokemon to release a wind covered in sparkles at the rabbit Pokemon!
Raboot!"exclaimed the rabbit Pokemon as it was struck with the fairy type attack, not doing much damage as he was a fire type but still doing a bit of damage.
"Use flame charge!"ordered Lincoln, causing the rabbit Pokemon to charge at the unique horn Pokemon, striking Ponyta with the powerful fire type attack, causing damage while at the same time boosting his speed!
"Use psybeam!"ordered Bede, causing ponytail to fire a beam of psychic energy from his horn.
"Use double kick!"ordered Lincoln, causing the rabbit Pokemon to run towards Ponyta, before striking the unique horn Pokemon in the chin to knock away the psychic type attack, before using the second part of double kick the strike Ponyta across the face!
"Use ember!"ordered Lincoln, causing the rabbit Pokemon to fire a small blast of fire at Ponyta, causing the unique horn Pokemon damage as soon as it was struck with the fire type attack!
"Now finish this off with quick attack!"ordered Lincoln, causing Raboot to quickly surround himself with white energy before he struck Ponyta with super fast speed, knocking the unique horn Pokemon out.
"No!"shouted Bede, before pulling out another great ball and recalling Ponyta, and then pulling out another great ball and calling out the Pokemon that was inside."Hattrem, come on out!"
"Raboot, return!"said Lincoln as he recalled the rabbit Pokemon, before he proceeded to pull out his Pokedex to identify the Pokemon in front of him.
Pokedex: Hattrem, the Serene Pokemon, and the evolved form of Hatenna. No matter who you are, if you bring strong emotions near this Pokemon, it will silence you violently.
"So your Hatenna evolved?"questions Lincoln, but he got no response from Bede.
"How is this loser beating me! I was the one chosen by the chairman! I was the one chosen to defeat Leon! I'm supposed to be the winner! But now this loser has made me resort to my last Pokemon!"said Bede, who look like he was losing it.
"Urshifu, I choose you!"said Lincoln as he called the Kung Fu Pokemon out for battle!
"What on Earth is that Pokemon?!"questions Bede, as he's never seen the Kung Fu Pokemon before in his life.
"I see you've never seen the Kung Fu Pokemon known as Urshifu! Bede, it's clear that you have a lot of baggage but I'm not going to let you destroy this historical mural for your own gains!"said Lincoln, as he was not about to let something that was probably hundreds of years old to get destroyed by some wannabe punk!
"My gains? No...This is all for the chairman!"shouted Bede"Hattrem, use psybeam!"
The Serene Pokemon looked at her trainer with concern for a second before focusing back on Lincoln and Urshifu, before I proceeded to fire a blast of psychic energy at the Kung Fu Pokemon. But to the surprise of both trainer and Pokemon, the attack had no effect at all.
"What?!"shouted Bede, not understanding what was going on.
"You probably assume that Urshifu it's just a fighting type Pokemon. But he's a fighting and dark type Pokemon! So psychic type moves will have no effect!"said Lincoln with a smile.
"Noooooooo...!"shouted Bede!
"Urshifu, use wicked blow!"ordered Lincoln, causing the Kung Fu pokémon to surround himself with dark energy before he struck the Serene Pokemon with his right fist surrounded with dark energy, causing a critical head of damage as the Serene Pokemon was knocked out!
"Hattrem! NO!"shouted Bede, as he couldn't believe his beloved Pokemon had been defeated so easily.
"Now order that Copperajah to stop!"shouted Lincoln, as he realized that the whole time they were battling, the copperderm Pokemon had been attacking the mural!
"Copperajah, that is enough!"ordered someone from outside Lincoln's view, causing the copperderm Pokemon to stop attacking the mural!
Lincoln turned to see who it was and he saw that it was chairman Rose along with his assistant Oleana, followed by several Pokemon League employees.
"Chairman Rose! What are you doing here?!"asked Bede, but he got no response from the chairman.
"Bede, explain yourself! I thought it was weird when you asked me to borrow the chairman's Copperajah, but now I know it was for you to do disaster too Galar's history."said Oleana with anger.
"What is the point of some old mural when the next thousand years of Galar are at stake! Surely some sacrifices have to be made for the greater good!"said Bede in his defense.
"Oh Bede,... I hate to say this but I am severely disappointed in you. You have shown no love for the history of Galar. That old mural that you're trying to destroy is part of the long history that makes Galar. I found you in that orphanage when you were very young and even gave you Hattrem you're holding back when it was a Hatenna...for now I want you to come with me as of this moment you're participation in the gym challenge is rescinded."said chairman Rose with a sad look on his face.
Bede looked at him with shock before responding."Please tell me you are kidding?! I know what I did is wrong but there's a thousand ways to deal with this. So why are you choosing the most drastic!"said Bede with shock and a look of betrayal on his face.
"Challenger Bede, we will be confiscating those wishing stars you have been collecting as well."said Oleana, before she gave the okay for the pokémon employees to grab Bede and take all the wishing stars he had on his person away from him.
"I'm so sorry for the actions of Bede, Challenger Lincoln Loud, and Sonia Magnolia. I wish that he didn't have to come with us as I hate when challengers are eliminated like this, but the rules must be enforced."said the chairman as he ordered several of his employees to escort Bede away from the mural.
"Chairman, wait!"shouted Bede, but the chairman didn't even look at him in the face as he was escorted away.
"Bede..."said Lincoln, who quickly realized that Bede was just trying to impress the chairman, but he had just done it in the wrong way.
"Now Copperajah, please return."said chairman Rose as he recalled the copperderm Pokemon back to an ultra ball.
He then proceeded to quietly walk away with Oleana close behind him.
"Bede, I heard that he was an orphan from a very young age and that the chairman took an interest in him around the same time. He's even the person who gave Bede his first Pokemon. I guess in the end Bede's twisted personality was a way of trying to get the approval of the chairman."said Sonia, who was starting to feel sorry for Bede.
"He shouldn't have done what he did. But I can understand what it means to try to get someone to accept you, especially when that person's opinion matters to you."said Lincoln, as he remembers how much he tried to impress his Pop Pop when he was younger.
"Well, at least the mural appears to have withstood the attack."said Sonia as she and Lincoln looked at the mural.
But a few seconds later the mural began to crack and soon a bunch of rubble fell down! Urshifu quickly grabbed his trainer and Sonia and quickly got them out of the way to avoid getting crushed by the rubble.
Lincoln and Sonia looked at the rubble until they're surprise, there was something behind the rubble. It appeared that the mural was hiding two statues of two wolves, one wolf holding a sword, while the other
wolf held a shield.
"Pokemon..."said Lincoln, as Sonia ran up to the statues and began to look at them with Wonder.
Then, as if the gears in her head were turning she began to ponder on bond everything she had learned. From the story of the hero from the Budew Inn, the tapestries in Hammerlocke, and now these mysterious statues of Pokemon!
"The hero... no heroes of the Darkest Day, they were not people..."said Sonia, as Lincoln caught on to what she was getting at.
"The sword and shield...They were Pokemon!"said Lincoln, realizing that the sword and shield represented pokemon!
Specifically these two wolf like Pokemon!
"Woah! My mind is seriously blown right now!"saud Lincoln, as everything they had just learned was overwhelming for him.
"Well I think I'm going to stick around Stow-on-Side a bit longer to study these newly discovered ruins! You on the other hand have to go to the next city for your gym battle! Now be careful when you're facing Opal, they don't call her the wizard for nothing!"said Sonia with a smile.
"I'm ready to face what she has to throw at me! But I'll be careful as Mustard himself told me how tricky she can be."said Lincoln as he know he was going to face a pokémon veteran with over fifty years of experience under her belt!
Now all he had to do was make his way Ballonlea to face her in a gym battle at the Ballonlea stadium!

Sorry for taking down my other Pokemon stories as I've been going through a lot lately!
Recently it has come out that I need to change my diet and trying to adjust to new food, as well as a large intake and vegetables has made me irritable and I took it out on my stories!
I'm right now feeling better and I might not deciding if I should revive some of the stories I have written in the past.
I'm thinking of reviving my Alola story but I'm still not sure as I'm still deciding on who's going to be on Lincoln's team.
As for Jaune's Paldea story, that will be revived on a later date as I'm still working on who would fit Jaune Arc the best.
I've recently been watching volume 9 and I'm still hoping to see how he turns out after what happened.
But enough about that.
Anyway next chapter will be the reaction of the loud family after Lynn and Lola's little temper tantrum!
