It is about eleven o'clock on Saturday night and Kyle is watching Aladdin off his laptop with his headphones on, so as not to disturb Casey who was busy playing his games on his ipad.
Kyle had bought the DVD years ago and he always rewatches it as it was his favourite movie. He loved Aladdin as a character, and he just thought he had such great values; something that Kyle always strived for.
Kyle loved all the songs in Aladdin too; preferring Disney movies over any other type of movies, especially horror movies which he hates with a passion; mostly because of the fright factor but partially because of the gore factor too.
There was no denying that the second youngest brother was a bit of a scaredy-cat, well a lot of a scaredy cat.
All three of his brothers constantly teased him about how scared he gets, especially Heath, but he couldn't help it.
Kyle has his laptop resting on his knees, as he is snuggling in his bed.
He's about fifty minutes through the movie when suddenly out of nowhere the screen goes fuzzy and then seconds later, a zombie covered in blood appears on his screen and screams.
The growling scream of the zombie rang super loud in Kyle's ears through his headphones and Kyle screams even louder and leaps out of bed, throwing off his headphones in a panicked state of fright.
Casey, who was resting in his bed on his stomach as he was playing on his iPad, turns to Kyle.
"You okay Ky?" he asks his brother, who looks visibly shaken.
Kyle furiously shakes his head and just tucks his knees closer to his chest and hugs them.
Casey scrambles up to see what had scared his brother when Brax and Heath run through the door and see their little brother on the ground hugging his knees to his chest; tears streaming down his face.
All three Braxtons walk over to Kyle's laptop and see the zombie still on the screen.
Heath bursts out laughing, but he's the only one.
"Awww, did the poor baby scare himself? You better stick to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, little brother," Heath says, howling with laughter.
Brax walks over to investigate what this was and how it happened and when he realises it was a DVD he pulls it out and sees that it was Aladdin.
Brax then turns to Heath, just knowing he had something to do with this.
"What the hell did you do?" Brax yells: furious with his younger brother, as he knows how easily Kyle gets scared.
"What do you mean?" Heath asks, playing dumb; of course, knowing what his brother is talking about, but he wants to see where this goes.
"You know what I'm talking about! I get that this was meant to be a harmless prank but it's still unacceptable! You know how scared he gets," Brax says, scolding his younger brother.
Kyle is still shaking badly and refusing to let go of his knees; unable to calm himself down from the shock.
"That's exactly why I did it! Look Brax, Spooky here needs to man up and stop watching all those baby shows. The kid's sixteen and still binge watches Hannah Montana! I did it to help him; right Bubs?" Heath says, laughing as he shrugs his shoulders.
This broke Kyle out of his shock.
"I don't watch Hannah Montana!" Kyle yells, as he jumps to his feet and runs at his brother.
Heath casually shoves his brother away making him land on the floor.
Heath is slightly shocked with his brother's reaction as he usually never snaps.
"You do watch other baby shows though," Heath laughs, as Kyle pushes himself up.
"Like that Wizards of Waverly Place show and the only monster movie you've ever seen is Monsters Inc. Oh no sorry I take that back, you've also seen Monsters University."
"Stop it Heath; pull your bloody head in!" Brax says, scolding his younger brother again.
Brax understood that siblings fight and tease each other but Heath often took it to another level.
"I'm just stating the facts big bro, Kylie here needs to start to watch shows that other kids his age are watching," Heath states, leaving Kyle blushing with embarrassment.
"Don't pretend like you did this for Kyle. We all know you did it for your own pleasure. Now how'd you do it?" Brax demands; wanting to know exactly how Heath did it so he could make sure it didn't happen again.
"Fine! Jasper's geeky brother is a computer geek and he altered it for me," Heath replies.
"I'll replace it," he adds as he shrugs, thinking it might make things a little better.
"You bet you will, and you'll never do something like this again! Do you hear me!" Brax yells while he pulls Kyle into a hug.
"Fine! Can I go now?" Heath asks, feeling frustrated at being scolded by the eldest.
This was just meant to be a bit of fun, there was no need for Brax to freak out.
"Yeah, get out of here!" Brax hisses and runs a hand comfortingly through Kyle's hair.
"You okay, kiddo?" Brax asks.
Brax was worried about Kyle, because of how he scares very easily; it usually meant he was bothered with nightmares and trouble sleeping for a bit.
"I think so, but I don't think I'll sleep properly tonight," Kyle replies sadly; he definitely couldn't see himself getting a good night's sleep.
"Listen to your audiobook mate. You'll be okay. I'm just down the hall if you need me," Brax says to his brother and kisses the top of his head.
His little brother was such a sensitive soul, he couldn't imagine there were many sixteen-year-old boys that allowed their brothers to kiss them on their heads, but Kyle never minded.
Brax then turns to Casey, who has since sat back on his bed, listening and watching his older brothers, and ruffles his hair.
"Keep an eye on him, Case," Brax instructs, causing Casey to smile back.
"No worries, Brax."
He looks at his brother who is settling into his bed and grabbing a hold of the monkey that usually lives in his bedside table.
Casey knew that Kyle was still freaking out, as he only ever grabbed the monkey when he's upset.
"Night boys," Brax calls before shutting the door.
"You okay Kyle?" Casey asks, worried about his brother.
"Not really," Kyle admits honestly.
He was already really struggling, and he didn't want to shut his eyes, knowing as soon as he goes to sleep, he'll freak out and have a nightmare.
"Do you want the lamp left on?" Casey asks, being aware that after a scare Kyle often likes a light on, just so he doesn't jump at everything he sees.
"Yes please," Kyle replies.
Kyle puts on his wireless headphones and starts his audiobook: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
Casey turns on the lamp and looks at his older brother who still has his eyes open.
Casey sits up and mimics taking headphones off.
Kyle pauses his story and removes his headphones.
"I'm here Ky. If you need me, wake me up," Casey says.
His older brother did so much for him, this was the least he could do.
"Thanks Case," Kyle replies, putting his headphones back on and playing his story again.
Kyle lies back down and after about twenty minutes he shuts his eyes, hoping he doesn't wake up due to a nightmare.
A couple of days later, Casey and Kyle walk into the house after hanging out with their friends, to see Heath in the kitchen.
They walk into the kitchen to get a drink of water and that's when Casey spots it: Heath's boxers are above his shorts line and wanting to get back at his older brother for everything he's done to them the last few days, Casey takes advantage of an opportunity.
"Look Ky," Casey whispers happily.
He was so sick of Heath at the moment with him being such a jerk and the wedgie that Heath gave him not long ago had really hurt and so Casey decides Heath deserves one back.
Kyle furiously shakes his head, disagreeing with his little brother.
Casey however doesn't listen and tip toes over towards Heath.
Casey grabs ahold of Heath's boxers, ready to give him a wedgie, when Heath spins around the glares down at his younger brother.
Kyle squeaks in fear, even though it wasn't him that Heath is glaring down at.
"Well, well, well; you okay there, little brother?" Heath asks as he glares down at his brother and notices Kyle standing nervously, nearby.
"Get here now, Spooky!" Heath orders.
As soon as Kyle is close enough, Heath grips him by the shirt and yanks him closer, causing Kyle to squeak in fear once again. .
"Leave him out of this!" Casey says, knowing Kyle is scared just from looking at him.
Heath laughs, "You wish."
"But he's done nothing wrong, he told me not to," Casey protests, shaking his head.
"Oh, please; when has that ever stopped me?" Heath laughs and reaches up to grab the cinnamon.
"No: please Heath!" Kyle begs; knowing where this was going.
Heath glares down at Kyle, who again squeaks in fear.
"Sorry," he whispers.
"Just give me the spoonful of cinnamon; leave Kyle out of it," Casey pleads.
"That's not going to happen. In fact, he's going to get two spoonfuls: one before you then one after you," Heath teases, with a smile on his face.
He looks over at Kyle who is looking miserable, and he ruffles his hair.
Casey is about to argue until Heath interrupts him.
"Argue and little Kylie here will get three spoonfuls," Heath threatens, causing Kyle to stare miserably at his feet.
"Oh, and if Brax comes out, you're both to go along with what I say, or you will both get nipple cripples, even if only one of you squeals," Heath threatens, glaring directly at Casey, with a smile on his face.
"Got it?" he then asks both of the boys.
Both of the boys nod their heads in reply, not willing to take any chances with Heath's threats.
"Good!" Heath says laughing.
Heath gets a teaspoon of cinnamon and shoves it in Kyle's mouth, causing Kyle to cough.
Heath turns Kyle around so that Kyle could cough in the sink.
He then gets a fresh teaspoon and gets a spoonful of cinnamon for Casey.
As soon as the cinnamon gets into Casey's mouth, he immediately coughs it all out; standing beside Kyle as he coughs into the sink.
"Having fun there, little brothers?" Heath asks.
Heath grabs hold of Kyle and spins him around.
"Time for round two, geek," he laughs, chucking a second spoonful of cinnamon in Kyle's mouth.
Kyle immediately spins around and coughs into the sink for the second time.
Just then, Brax comes in, having heard a lot of coughing going on in the kitchen.
"What's going on here?" he asks.
"Oh, I just saw a video on this cinnamon challenge, and I told the boys about it, and they insisted on trying it," Heath explains and ruffles both his brother's hair.
Brax screws up his face, having also heard about said challenge and looks at his two youngest brothers who are both looking sickly.
"Is this true?" he asks them both, in which they both nod their head.
"Seriously boys? That was a stupid thing to do. It can be very dangerous. I mean what if either of you inhaled that?" Brax says, unimpressed.
"I told them it was a crazy idea, but you know what teenage boys are like. I told them if they insisted on doing it, I would need to be there to make sure nothing bad happened," Heath informs.
Brax shakes his head. "Well okay, just do not do it again, understood?"
"Okay Brax; we're sorry," both boys reply, causing Brax to ruffle their hair.
"Good boys," Brax smiles then walks back to his room.
Heath smirks at both Kyle and Casey.
"If either of you ever attempt to give me a wedgie again, then things will go much worse for you," he threatens and glares down at both the boys who nod in understanding.
"Now scram!" Heath barks, making both the boy's run to their room.
"Wimps," Heath chuckles.
He puts the cinnamon away then makes himself comfortable on Brax's couch to watch some TV.
