44: Dao of the Mountain Builder

Fanfic or Original

Always hasty, always arrogant, and always shoddy: these are the truest descriptors of the average transmigrator. Oh, their power is undeniable, there skill notable, and there effort sometimes great, but in the end, they are but children playing games. In many ways, it is nothing but sad.

One bottom-of-the-pile ROB in particular thought so, but it was his job to reincarnate such people, and so he did, disgusted on how these beings, literal ROB seedling, almost always failed to ascend to his level. One day, however, he came across an interesting person, and he took a chance.

Whether by wish, luck, or the will of the ROB, the transmigrator in question found himself in a cultivation world, one of the really ridiculously powerful ones, with a unique physique and three cheats. The physique was called the Mountain-Building Dao Physique, and it looked completely normal and had no real benefits, except that the person using it had an easier time comprehending Dao. However, if the person comprehended enough Dao, his body would evolve to become more OP, faster to cultivate, stronger, tougher, or any number of other benefits, depending on which Dao had been comprehended. Moreover, this lad found himself with a version of the Library of Heaven's Path, but weakened so that he had to do the research himself. That being said, every time he exceeded the normal for one person in an area, another him gifted in that area (to one person's worth) appeared in the library and started to research, train, or do whatever it was best at. Every ten people's worth produced a skilled, every ten skilled a professional, every ten professional a genius, and so on. Moreover, the library naturally contained a large number of Earth source texts on martial arts, physical training, eastern and basic western medicine and many other subjects. If that wasn't enough, he also got the 'Dao Comprehension System' that awarded him training manuals, techniques, and resources for his effort and growth!

Sadly, it wasn't all good news. Due to his apparently low talent, low social status, and bookish nature, he wasn't well-liked or well-treated, he wasn't given many cultivation resources, and he was mostly looked down on. Worse still, his system wouldn't let him learn anything about cultivation until he mastered the previous level. As such, he couldn't get ANYTHING on cultivation until he mastered martial arts, or anything on martial arts until he mastered physical conditioning! This meant that he couldn't even become a cultivator until he was stronger than a city full of them!

But, for some reason, the person in question wanted it this way. Good luck, ya weirdo!
