A/N: Sorry for the long wait. I was really busy and other things happened too. Hope you enjoy this chapter.

Dream/Nightmare...

However, even though I ran at such speeds I knew it was right behind me. I could hear it growling. I jumped over sticks and logs, and ducked under trees and hanging branches. I could barely see where I was going, it was way too dark to even see the path anymore. I felt so helpless running, so weak, I felt like game. That creature was the dominating predator, the hunter, and I was the inferior and weaken, hunted, the prey.

Crunch. Crunch.

"Mom! Dad!" I yell in terror. "Beth! Lisa! Sam!" I scream at the top of my lungs.

"Anyone!" I scream.

'Isn't there anyone out here!' I thought as I continued running, but I tripped and fell off the path. I immediately look around and noticed I was alone. I smirk, 'Maybe it gave up of hunting me.'

I lightly laugh as I dust myself off. As if, I wasn't that lucky at all. As I try to stand, I slipped on some vines and landed hard on my back. I bit my lip so not to scream in pain, 'Ow!' Oh, my spine was definitely going to be bruised. I turn over slowly and try to move, but it fuckin' hurts. Then as I place my hands on my legs, I felt a liquid substance on it and knew it wasn't water or sweat. I look down and noticed there was some blood on my legs. I sigh as I realize it must've happened while I was running through the bushes and falling onto rocks, I don't even want to know how badly cut up I am. I seethe as my sweat went into my open wounds, causing them to sting. I nervously glance around making sure the coast was truly clear because this creature has a sick humor of playing peek-a-boo. Seeing how it was really gone, this was a miracle. Still wonder how does it appear, disappear and then reappear in a snap.

Snap.

Shit, I jinxed myself didn't I? My eyes squinted, attempting to see something-anything. I threw my hands in front of me, waving them frantically around trying to find my way. The night that surrounded me was now darker than ever, it was pitch black.

I shuddered at the thought of being here all alone with that thing out there- out here with me. It watching me, I felt so vulnerable at the moment. 'Would it kill me? Would it hurt me? I'm afraid to die, I didn't want to die!' My mind was jumping around as my eyes turn watery. Tears pooled in my eyes, burning and threatening to fall. "This couldn't be it; I'm only nineteen and have my whole life ahead of me. I can't die now; I want to go to college. Want to be someone better and get an education. I want to find love before dying. This isn't right, I can't die. I won't!"

Adrenaline began pulsating through my veins. I would fight for my life. This was my life and I wasn't going to let some mutated oversized wolf- thing kill me. I would fight, fight for what was rightfully mine! The warrior in me was emerging and I wasn't going to die to some stupid creature. This was my life and I controlled it.

"Hello Max!" I heard someone call off in the distance. My heart literally skipped a beat as I someone called my name. Their voices trailing off and echoing around me; it was pretty far, but at least it was there. A small smile of hope played on my lips as I cautiously took a step forward -another and another -soon I heard footfalls off in the distance.

"Yes, I'm here!" I called out, joy evident in my voice. I began running, a silly smile planted on my face.

Grrrrrrrr...

I froze dead in my tracks. The fine hairs on the back of my neck stood on edge, as my eyes widened in fear. The howl of the creature…

I shot up in bed, drenched in my own sweat. I was panting, attempting to fill my lungs with precious oxygen. I laid a hand over my heart, trying to calm it. As soon as my breathing slowed I pushed myself off my bed and glanced at my clock; 8:49 PM. I sighed and pondered what to do now… TV, TV, TV, eat, eat, or sleep.

I sigh as my head was hurting again. I exit my room and went downstairs to get some more Aleve for my headaches. Also, was hoping that it would help me fall asleep. Once I go into my room, I look out of my window and sigh as I rub my face.

"Why can't I sleep soundly anymore," I say as I turn on my fan. The cool wind was what I needed as it brushes against my face.

"Ah," I speak calmly, "this is nice."

I go to my bed and was about to sleep, when I heard something. My eyes moved to the side and something moved in the corner of my eye. My head quickly snapped on reflex towards the light. I turn it on and look around, but see nothing. I turn off my light and go to sleep warily, thinking what I saw.

Two days later...

It's been two days; two incredibly LONG days, since my nightmare. My last remembrance of that horrific dream has marred me. I can't sleep much now and at all times I feel like someone is watching me. Unseen eyes are always observing me from the shadows, and I've been acting more paranoid than ever. I think I'm going crazy, those dreams haunt me. The paranoia of being watched at all times plagues me and I can't help but feel as if something's wrong with me-with my body. The pains I experienced in detention haven't left me just yet. The other day while watching TV it happened again, only this time it was worse. It just keeps getting worse and worse, and I'm afraid of what is to come. I feel as though something in me is changing- a significant change.

So, school...I've been avoiding, Johnny, Jacob and especially Jerome. I sigh as I close my door and when I turn all I saw was face and that made be jump and nearly stopped my heart as I hit my back against the lockers. I turn and see it was Johnny with a smirk.

"Don't do that!" I half scream and half whisper as I try to calm my speeding heart.

"Sorry," he said calmly.

"Yeah, sure you are. Ass," I say as I look in my bookbag to make sure I've everything.

"Max, you don't look so good," he comments to me as I stand up. I rolled my eyes and resumed my search for my phone and homework.

"I'm serious; maybe you should go home today," Johnny states with concern in his voice.

"Can't do. I don't want stay at home," I mumbled and walk away from him.

"How are you feeling?" he asks and I sigh as I turn back to him.

"Tired," I reply.

"Tired? Why?" he asks.

"This nightmare," I simply answer, "I feel like I'm having the same nightmare every night. I'm starting to wonder if it's part of one big nightmare."

"You know what that might means right," he comments as he puts his hand on my shoulder.

I shake my head tiredly no because I was too out of it to think now.

He continues, "It must have some sort of meaning to you."

"Not that I can think of at this moment," I retort as I try to think, but nothing was coming.

I was lucky with today; it was only a half day so that means I'll be home early. I close my eyes and try to think of what the nightmare might mean to me, but as soon as I thought I had something; the bell rang clear and loud, making me lose focus on what I was thinking.

I turn to Johnny and lowly said, "Bye."

I ran out like a bat out of hell. By the time school ended I rushed all the way home, I was tired and fully mentally drained. I went to my room and collapsed on my bed.

Later...

I woke up and stretched as I went to the living room. I was channel surfing, but nothing was getting my attention. I sigh as I leave the room and leaving the TV on. My dad speaks, "You forgot to turn the TV off, Max."

"Max, did you hear me?" he continues, "Max, you didn't turn off the TV!"

"Max, you didn't turn off the TV," I mimicked lowly as I open the bathroom door open and shut it behind me, making sure to lock it.

Family...family can be so annoying at times; although, my family is the exception from that because they're ALWAYS annoying.

"MAX!" I heard him from the kitchen, which it was literally next to the bathroom and two rooms away from the living room. I was not going to open the door, walk over to the living room and turn the TV off and walk all the way back here. Fuck that shit.

However, I decided to take a nice and long soothing shower. Since I left my gym clothes that I was going to wear here in the bathroom; after all, today was a single session day. Within a couple of minutes, I was in the shower and feeling the hot water cascading down my body; then on its way down to its small eddy. The hot mist surrounding me was so relaxing, I closed my eyes and sway a little before leaning on the wall. Before I knew it, my mind was somewhere else as my body was sliding down into the tub as my head bobbed to the side and rested on my shoulder.

Dream...

Ggggrrrr.

I froze dead in my tracks. The fine hairs on the back of my neck stood on edge, as my eyes widened in fear. The howl of the creature

"Leave me the hell alone!" I cried out with my eyes resuming their watery pools. 'Why me? Why can't this thing bother someone else or scare someone?' I gulp as the tears roll down my face, all my hope was gone. It wouldn't let me go of its sight, it would follow me wherever I go and wouldn't stop until it has me.

My tears flooding my vision as I cower before the creature; I cry in frustration and desperation. My legs were throbbing erratically, weaken from all the running. I felt so tired, any moment now my knees would buckle and give out under me.

"MAX!"

"Max, get out of the bathroom! I need to use the bathroom, Max!" Someone yelled from the other side of the locked bathroom door. My lids slowly open as I try to focus on my surroundings.

"Wha?" I mumbled as I shot up from the tub. The once warm water that was raining down of me was now ice cold. The next thing I noticed was how cold my body was as I shiver. Everything in my life was going wrong, so very wrong. Nothing has gone right in my life...I grab my head as it started to hurt. I try to move, but my body wasn't responding. I started to gradually go back to the lull of sleep.

My knees gave out under me as I fall onto the dirt. I try to calm myself down. 'Quit crying and wipe those tears away,' my mind was telling me as my legs stung from the cuts and scratches. That thing was coming at me and I had to move! In my panicked state, I roll flat onto my stomach and began crawling as fast as I could. My jaw was shut tight as I tried not to cry from the twigs, branches, and rocks opening new wounds on my legs.

"Help!" I cried my voice barely audible.

"Someone, anyone! Please, help me!" I scream. I heard the creature stalking behind me. I screamed out in agony as tears ran down my cheeks. 'This is it. This is the end of me.'

Snap. Crunch. Snap.

"Noooo!" I cried, my heart pounding against my chest, as my heartbeat increased its speed. My breathing came in ragged breaths, as I used my arms to pull my body away from that horrific creature.

Snap.

"Leave me alone you fucking bastard! You stupid ass fuckin' shit!" I started screaming at it hoping it might intimidate that stupid thing. All it did was cause that thing's breathing to become louder- closer, and faster. I was making it angrier. My arms and legs were scraped and bruised, as I kept dragging myself away from that thing. Why wasn't it attacking? Was it having second thoughts? Could that thing even think? Nope- it was probably torturing me, by taking its time.

I finally forced myself up and began jogging as fast as I could.

Crunch. Snap. Crunch.

It was getting closer. My senses were going crazy and I could hear my heartbeat along with the creature's ragged breathing. Why? Why me? Every brain cell in me was screaming at me to move, do something! I watched, closer and closer it got. I could hear it, sense it, feel it, and smell the foul odor that it let off… Finally I move as I run away from the creature. I run through it, not dare looking back at it. While I was running, I cut through bushes and squeeze myself through the under and overgrowth.

'Is it just me, or are these things getting thicker than before? Probably because I'm running for my life that they seem that!' I mentally scream as I could hear it behind me. Before I knew it, I trip over a vine and fall on my face. I push myself up and try to scramble to my feet, but my leg wasn't moving. I look down and saw it was entangle in the vine I trip. I try to rip it with my other hand, but it didn't want to release my leg. I was clawing at it, but then I felt a tug on the vine and was pulled onto my back as I was being dragged. I turn over and try to grab onto something to stop this, but everything was out of reach. The vine lifted like it had a life of its own and was holding me before the darker figure, I bit on my lower lip so I wouldn't release a sob as it growls at me. I feel the vine ascend as the creature stands beneath me and I shake my head as tears escape my eyes.

"No! Help!" I cry as I struggle from the grip of the vine, "Help! Somebody! Help! He-mmh!"

The creature puts a vine around my mouth and then coils it tightly around my body as it licks its lips. I close my eyes, not wanting to see it anymore and wishing it would disappear. The next feeling made my gut drop as the vine released me and I open my eyes as I fall straight into the creature's mouth. I cover my face with my arms, so I don't look. My heartbeat raced and thundered in my ears, pupils expanded, eyes widened, and blood rushed as I watched, waiting. I was going to die; this was the end of me. I squeezed my eyes shut awaiting the worst…The last thing I saw was the teeth about to bite me...Then a pink creature catches me and runs while carrying me like I was nothing.

I turn to the creature and it speaks, "Isa okie-taka, meega got youga. Youga safe now."

After those words it spoke, I passed out.

I wake up and see that I'm still in the bathroom, I quickly get out of it, change and leave.

Next Day – Late Afternoon...

"Why... Why me?" I mutter as I lay on the grass and continue crying, "What did I do to deserve this!?"

I stop talking and just cry until I fell asleep. I woke up and see that it was dark, I look up and see an amazing thing.

"Double Eclipse," I say softly to no one as I stood up.

I smile widely, "I can't believe I almost missed it."

I look around and see that there was no one else around in the park.

"Hmm," I said as I look back at it.

Then I see a yellow light falling down and as it was getting closer, it looked as if it was trying to find something. It lands not that far away from me; I look around to make sure I was truly alone. I walk over to it, examining the beam of light; however, I jumped back as a metallic hand came out and grab some dirt and other things and then throwing them into the light.

"What's that?" I ask lowly as I walk carefully to it.

I examine the arm jutting out of the light and then it spasms towards me.

"That doesn't look good," I comment as I go closer to it.

It surprises me when it pops out of the light and then grabs me by the leg.

I began hitting and kicking it, "Let me go! Let go right now!"

But, it tosses me into the light and I scream as I felt like I was being broken bit by bit. Lights of every color flashing as I fall, screaming into this endless hole.
