Chapter 4: Head Above Water

/

He was treated only badly when he was bad. Or when Slade called it punishment.

Dick could only crawl into a ball until he winced at his ribcage, riled up by the scent of dried cum and his own tears.

Metas or Half – metas like Slade were the kind with such libido that they took every opportunity to prove how long they could stand erect. Dick was the bottom only so, but he knew better than to think otherwise.

One thing irked him. Damian never spoke or said a word if he caught Dick with Slade's cock up his ass or between his bitten lips. He'd just snort and walk away, as if he were immune to empathy. But he had to be. Dick had brought chaos into his home. Bruce had been wounded because of that nasty hunter and Rose had stolen his time to spend with the boy's own caregiver.

Rose. Was she going to be ok?

"Get up." Slade nudged Dick's ankle with his foot. He was clad in the proper attire to speak at a podium, while Dick still had a case of dehydration and vertigo upon rising from their sex filled love making in bed.

And it wasn't. He had a quiet hatred that he held dear towards his keeper, but to act out as a hero? With Damian knowingly aware of it?

Well, Dami seemed to be less than tight lipped. He could al-

"GET up." Slade no longer brushed his foot, but kicked. Right into Dick's unclad hip.

"You're going to make me late for our meeting with the Court."

Dick's eyes popped open as he ignored the pain flying up his side. "Court?? You –

"Shut up and get ready, pet." Slade tossed a set of pants and a tight top only meant for slaves of the future world to the hero. "I want to keep you prettiest of all the breeds we'll get to meet."

Oh, so his idea of putting Dick in his place was to call him that?? Was he really still the same man who'd tried to harm his team? This was…

Extreme, yet Slade was flaunting him for political reasons as I to say "I have the batman's first, what do you have?" Dick took the cloth and began to yank the top over his head. There wasn't underwear as he was expected to be prepped for…

Dick looked up and tossed his hands over to cover his hole. Slade had rifled through a draw to the side and came out with something, sinister between his gloved fingers.

"What is that?? You cannot be –

"I'll do as I please, and you'll learn to obey. You can't just run off on your own." Slade smirked below the two toned façade. "I'll put it in you so you won't have to."

"No!" Dick crawled, yet his arms were help back as Slade slipped the conical toy right to his hole, making it pucker and redden from the press at his –

"ANG!!"

"You've been softer before…what a shame I'd not checked." Slade rolled the thing, watching the toy's toy shudder with vibrations in soft hums that only he could hear. A purr, as it were.

"Delicious…You look good enough to take to bed right now, but not yet." Slade let go of his panting pet as the younger man was tossed back his pants. Also far too baggy, but yet the style of this culture.

"You'll keep that in, and you won't scratch your itch until I allow it. Ready?"

Dick sat up, yanking on the last of his "costume" with a growl. A choker than made him feel breathless and manacles that acted as pretty jewelry in pewter – silver.

Slade smiled below the metal face as Dick only followed him to the door where Todd was there with Tim. "Prince Damian will be by the entrance." Tim told his master.

Slade nodded and went along, not either brother batting an eye as the trip took all of the fight out of the eldest the most.

Batman and the heroes had readied to set off into the deep, but first they had to deploy from the air to see that happen. So, the came up with an idea that was sure fire.

Raven would help to teleport them, while the ship divided to work in to a unit and could explore the cove without grabbing the attention of a military radar.

~Have you gotten to the place, yet? ~ Raven telepathically spoke to her team and the bat.

~We've made it enough meters deep to suffice. ~ Batman said before punching a switch to see the rest of the waters out of his window.

~I took believe we are in "the deepest" we can possibly go, Raven. ~ Starfire told the empath, cautioning against not flanking the bat in his mini underwater contraption.

~The divided subs can withstand a great deal of pressure. ~ Kilowatt told them from beside Raven back on the hover ship. They had to stay clear to guide the heroes out of Shadow territory.

~You only need to find one hidden alcove to reach the underground entrance to their lair. It's in the rocks.~

~Doesn't he mean, "on the rocks?" ~

~No. ~ Raven frowned at Gar's reason to quote a famous line.

~Then, perhaps the rocks are not truly that, yet false replicas that we must dismantle in order to find the legion's secret lair? ~

~Something pretty close to that, Star. ~ Cy answered the Tamaranean.

Gar shrugged and got ready to swap from being a clown fish to a barracuda. ~Dudes. What if Dami is under Slade's control? He's a pretty angsty kid like most of –

~Ehem. ~ Cy cleared his throat and pointed his thumb to signal "watch your words around the Batman to Gar. ~I mean…like most kids his age…but yeah! What are we gonna do then? ~

~Damian's stubborn at times but knows what he stands for as my protégé and child. I don't think he willingly went with Deathstroke of his own free will. ~

~But you saw what we went through back in the….I mean….never mind. ~ Sighed Kilowatt. ~You'd know him better than I could, but his currents…that energy he has…he's been holding back. ~

~To control his temper, mostly. ~ Bruce said with a grumble. ~He's like me in almost every way, but he can't hide every part of what he is feeling. He's only a child, which why we can't let him make the choice to stay. Slade will stand trial and we will save Nightwing and my sons. ~

~Is Robin, Dick…He is not also your son? The Batman? ~

Starfire was many things, yet never blind to the emotions of others' pain. She saw that Bruce may have held some regret as well for getting Dick to stay and for this…to leave its toll. As his ward, Dick was never officially a Wayne nor did he wish to be. He knew what it meant to feel trapped, no way out. But did he really prove to Bruce that he stood a chance on his own? Caring for others within his walls as Bruce had done for Dick as a kid from a background so whimsical as a trapeze act.

Bruce did not answer Starfire's question. Instead, he just made it very clear that there would be "no stopping the Batman." (Tt go movie line. A DC fan still likes a slapstick satirical show even if it blows chunks at the characters.)

/

Sitting at a round table with an white barn owl engraved in the craftsmanship, Damian wished his head could turn as easily as one.

The faces that stared back were hard to see. Most of them wore owl masks, and some were plain difficult to depict in a room fit…for a bunch of old bats.

The door opened from behind and the boy straightened himself without being told.

"Master Slade, your seat is safe." Damian motioned to a place at the table that could see every face – even the ones that remained hidden.

"The Court has called Slade Wilson to question. We are to decide of our partnership with the newly established League of Assassins (Renaming it for sake of effect.) will be somewhat profitable for both parties as well as help to bridge further alliances. Was this the boy?" The elder in his mask pointed, and the owls looked to their right.

"Yes. Damian had revoked all loyalties to the Al – Ghul line. Everything they had now will belong to me." As Wilson sat, he ran a set of gloved finger's through Richard's hair, making both brother's want to turn their heads.

"And you have, an unlikely companion…three. How is this?"

"The Bat gave me reason to take, so I did. And I've claimed each with a special mark to be sure of that fact." Slade looked around him. His boys, now his rotting dolls with only one person left to sew them back together as he toyed some more with Dick's luscious locks.

Damian felt his hand grab at the thing on his hip. The thing he'd taken from Todd to be sure…

"Well, you certainly know how to pick from the best of the batch." Chuckled that same fat rat of an owl as he scratched his chin. A beard, maybe? Red??

"This is very, interesting to talk about all day, but we did remember to keep to a proper schedule. Did we not?" One owl was a woman with tall blonde hair in such stark white dresses.

"I'd never steal away your time, Chancellor." Slade bowed his head politely. Curtly to the fat oaf who was a tad horny by the look of his fingers…and …

Dami just tuned it out, while Dick felt a hand push him down towards the floor, a boot over top him as it massaged his groin.

He sat on the floor on his butt as the plug made the male throw a hand over his lips to silence himself.

"What do you propose we share of our ideals? If the Batman is ever to be defeated and his city and sister company handed over to the Court," The blonde began to muse, " Then what can you offer to make this decision…plausible? Mr. Wilson?"

"I can send you spies, weapons. You have delegates in the city to see to your laws staying as they are…but what if the Titans put a stop to it? Or the League…" Slade hummed across the table. The owls all nodded, whispering among one another eagerly.

"That would mean an expansion of our group to other cities outside of –

"You aren't afraid to take charge…are you, Chancellor?" Slade's masked eye goaded the woman as she shook her head at the question. "No! I would only seek to find how long it will be before this change might branch our outer networks into other major cities and their government houses."

"Lex Luthor had already signed our little declaration."

Dami turned his head to Slade, unaware that Lex…had been so bought and sold to the idea. He was a greedy, brilliant tycoon with a sledgehammer personality. Superman had even failed to forever put the man behind bars for more than a month.

"Ra's Al - Ghul would not commit to the final decision. You were an obvious replacement."

~ So that's how he took Grandfather's life. Once for hire, always for hire. ~ Dami kept that thought to himself. ~ Hang in there, siblings…I still have to finish unmasking these filthy liars to get some real answers. I won't leave until they all croak and squeal.~ He promised them this personally, as the boy compartmentalized the group's nefarious plot inside of his young brain, finding one person he could send it all to before he lost to a true warlord wannabe.

/

Tim was so far under that when Todd had come back up; not sure if he was just getting more immunity or resistance to his daily "shots," but it was too late to act like that mattered. He poked in his head and listened, and saw.

Dick was currently forced to suck off his keeper like it was the most enjoyable ride in his life, while Dami…

Was he shaking?

/

Tim ignored the union, just waiting for his master so he'd pat the teen on the head and reward him for keeping Todd in line. Had he not been so hyped to make it happen, Timmy would have seen the person behind him reach to throw a set of fingers over his beak; silencing him, he was forced back by muscle and tissue and anguish. A anger so hot that it made Tim kick as he was dragged off to be gagged someplace lonely and dank and dark.

/

Todd readjusted himself. Tim's weapon or tazer the brat had used for Jay's escape – which he was pretty damn close, was in his pants and he'd pull out that stick to get their attention. Not alone, but…when the time…

A ticking in his brain aligned and the boldest and maddest Robin took the chance.

/

Slade, Dami and one council member were highlighting the wonderful merge of ideas inside of their diabolical, aging minds, when the doors busted open. The owls flinched and swung their arms over their faces to deflect the light of day. Slade sat while Dami raised his blade to his hip, hoping to not find his father at –

"I'm sick of being left out of your little tea party, DS!"

Dami's eyes spied an inferior visitor in their midst, yet morse code at his fingertips as Dami caught it.

~I know you're still one of us, make it look good. ~

"Is this the watch dog you've taking from the Bat as well?" One of the owls leaned into its chair, the fat old white haired ass who was horn – dogging it for Dickie to sit in his lap…

Pig in –

"Master? Should I take this mongrel back and sedate him?"

"Now, hold on a minute…" The fat man stopped the boy. "I know he's got enemies. That's the kid Talia brought back? Old news, but it travels fast through our walls…I know a trainer who'd love to see what he could do so you're dog will listen to the master."

Todd snarled and launched himself at the table, side stepping Dami as the tables were, turned. Slade got up and swung out an arm to blind side the kid, kicking him down as he wailed out to the crushing defeat, tazer not yet out of his –

"Damian. See to it that he goes still. I don't want anymore interruptions…and if this trainer is worth my while?" Slade turned to the owl. "What is his name, since you seem to be keen on keeping that little detail from me, Mr. Ferguson?"

The jumpy expression of the man's body language almost made Damian smile by how wity that was, if not underhanded to reveal the man's identity to his posse.

"Roman."

Dick froze, as did Todd. He shook his head, fighting the urge to tell Slade and his party guests off.

Dami was aware and wondered what Todd was after by staging this attempt.

"Sionas. Known as Black Mask." Slade rubbed his chin, his young protégé to Todd with his sword. He was just another Ubu in this situation. He'd be sure to give that man a hug and a vacation package for keeping his mother well…

"You are saying, that they have…a relationship?" Slade expected a yes. Heck, it was purely evident by how Todd was left gawking.

"And that Black Mask can do the kid's work for you." The owl said, matter - of - fact.

"I could use some more time to train my pupil…" Slade looked to Dami, who simply stood as he was expected to. Like some drone. A soldier. "I am for anything my master wishes." Dami did say. "Allow me to sedate him and return Todd to his rooms for you. It wouldn't be any trouble." Dami was sure he'd say yes.

"Of course." Slade clapped and out came Ubu. Todd's eyes fell shut, but Dami knew he had a shot.

/

They had to head out as the boy and old ally to his grandfather left the rooms, walking as they had in the boy's youth here. Clearing his throat, Ubu went first.

"You look well."

"I have been taking my vitamins, exercise."

"You have a plan underneath that armor?"

Dami smirked, and once they were a few walls further from Slade, the boy whispered what they had to do to his oldest family nanny.

"Then, I will do it."

"You shouldn't have to." Dami said. "Make it look like an accident."

Ubu looked at a stunned Todd who was all for an escape, but with Dami calling the shots?

"Where is Timothy." He turned his attention to the second eldest Robin. Ubu waited as they went up to the other side of the base, higher.

"In the supply closet. Knocked…him out."

"I'll go look. Ubu….if mother was wrong about all of this –

"She knew you were as your father, little prince." Ubu smiled back at the youth. "Cunning as a thief, yet loyal as any survivor to his cause. There will be no coronation for that man at the table."

"I agree. Do what you must, Ubu. Use caution." Dami faked a cut in his arm once he was far from them. He'd say that he was betrayed and that Ubu and Todd had colluded against him for Talia's sake. He went to her right away. It was time to set a new plan into motion under the terminator's very snout.

/

The walk down or fall, would not be enough to break Jason, so he'd try to risk it. Ubu carried him as the Court had Slade's attention. Jason messed with the cameras on the base and Ubu kept the assassins and guards on watch from waking.

The two finally hit sand, panting as Ubu let his arm away from Todd to walk barefooted the rest of the way. The ones to meet the team as they left their water vehicles hit the anarchist in his happy switch.

"You….Bruce…..TTs….It's not been that long, right?" He collapsed from dehydration as Starfire and Cyborg flew over. Bruce used his binoculars to see the distance as he did so, a beeping radiated in the air.

Ubu held his chest, as if he were having a heart attack, but Bruce knew better.

He got over to the group and shouted for them to get back.

Cy carried Jay and they got behind a rock near the water -jumping in the water as –

Ubu exploded into little bits, eyes shut as the end finally found him in the most unlikely of ways.

Todd looked down at his chest, but he was ok. Would Slade have done that to him too??

"Damian…" He hoarsely said with a grin and shake of his sweltering locks. "He helped us, B. He's on our side. I knew it…"

The heroes all looked to Batman, his annoyance far from it. "We have to stop Slade from making a move."

"Agreed." Starfire and her team were all for a storming of the castle.

Had the beach not become occupied by the drones of Ra's culture.

Batman raised his batarangs, while Starfire had enough sunlight to blow the beach to pieces as the mad man they were after, had done with a true rebel.

Ubu's life would not be left in vain.

That, Batman and crew would be sure to make decent, as they barreled through fighters left and right to get to that towering fortress in the jungles of southeast Asia.

/

Tim was in the closet? Was that a desperate move on…

Dami just went to open the damned door, but he found no such person in chains. Well, because Tim was now evasive as all living –

" Ang!" Tim's hands gripped Damian's collar as he was yanked back, a grin on the brainwashed brat's face as Damian spouted for the man to "let him go" and to come to his senses."

"I'm not an enemy!"

"You sure look like you've been busy…" Tim snorted, dragging Dami to look at him in the eye. "Why aren't you beside our good master like the weevil you are, little prince?"

"That's...he had me out on an important mission."

"Me too." Tim snickered. "We are just that, useless goons for some power – hungry warlord. And by the way…" Tim pulled out a pocketed unit with a screen to the outside on it. And of the biggest loss since his…

Dami's eyes scrunched to hide his tears. "Ubu was murdered…because you made our master angry." Tim told him. "Now, we can go clean up your mess and tell him, or I can keep my mouth shut until YOU do so out of pure guilt!"

"I always knew you were an even bigger jerk than your brothers, Timothy." Snarled the younger. "I never expected you to become a monster like the person who ruined your family – and like you now have mine !"

He riled back and twisted Tim to hit the floor, cracking the unit until a hand held over Dami's back.

"That's enough."

Dami didn't stop.

His gaze shot daggers at the stooge who had killed for killing's sake. His arm was swollen and trying to crust up, just as he wouldn't let Timmy's pretty face –

"That's ENOUGH!"
