Months ago, Chris had taken his ride to Europe, hoping to find more information about Umbrella and Shinra, waiting and willing to put an end to things. He wasn't alone, as Richard, Rebecca and Daisy went with him while Jill, Barry and Brad stayed behind to ensure safety in Raccoon City.

"Hopefully I'll get the answers I need from this trip," Chris commended. "Then bring an end to Umbrella once and for all."

He looked ahead to Daisy, recalling when he first met her in the Spencer Mansion. How in the middle of fighting off some zombies with Jill, Daisy had shown up and used her abilities to crush their enemies.

It was thanks to Daisy that Chris was able to survive the giant Snake, Yawn, that they were able to endure Plant 42, alongside major assist from Barry and his flame thrower.

Daisy's quick thinking saved Richard from the Queen Neptune, using her powers to stop Richard and Chris in their tracks before the shark came after either of them.

While Chris was in thought, Daisy looked up, catching his attention. "Something bothering you, Chris?"

"No, just thinking about when we met in Raccoon City," Chris said. "You really saved our lives."

"I'm just doing my job," Daisy said.

"If you hadn't been there, we'd probably be dead," Chris said.

"Hey, you weren't exactly helpless, you did a great job against those monsters too," Daisy said. "Like how you took down that hunter mid jump with one shot to the face."

"Just reflex," Chris said.

"That makes it cool, you're almost like Hawkeye in a way, only with a gun," Daisy said.

"Funny, my friend Forest Speyer once said something similar," Chris said. "During our practice rounds, he would call me a handgun version of Hawkeye."

"You seem to have really good eyesight, it could be a quirk of sorts," Quake said.

"It might be, I don't remember if I was formally tested but doctors have told me I have above average eyesight," Chris said. "Maybe I do have a power."

"Well, power or not, you're still pretty amazing," Daisy said.

"Thanks, hopefully I can do my part to get us some answers about Umbrella," Chris said. "And maybe find that Sephiroth guy."

"I hear he's very powerful, like really good with a sword," Daisy said. "I also heard that sword is eight feet long, and really heavy."

"Either way, if he was working with Wesker, then I want answers," Chris said. "I can only imagine what Wesker was really doing in that mansion."

It confused Chris, during the first arrival, a zombie dog nearly killed him. Wesker's quick thinking saved his life.

"Chris, this way!"

The urgency in his voice, what he thought was genuine concern might have just been Wesker ensuring he lived long enough to perform his tests.

He could even remember the first time he arrived at the mansion, and the gunshot heard, not knowing at the time it belonged to his teammate Kenneth Sullivan.

"I'll go and investigate," Chris said.

"Not by yourself, Barry and I will come too," Jill said.

"You all do that. Meanwhile, I will explore on my own," Wesker said.

"Are you sure?" Jill asked. "You should come too."

"No, we'll cover more ground this way," Wesker said, gestuting behind him. "Barry, when you're done assisting, come find me on the other side of this building. I will be going through those double doors."

"Sure thing," Barry said.

"Be careful," Wesker warned, making his way through the doors.

Chris led his team, "Alright, let's go see what's happening."

Unknown to them, on the other side of the door, The Alpha Team Leader had grabbed a radio, "Sephiroth, it's Wesker. We ran into some trouble, but the plan is in motion. Wait for me in Umbrella's lab, near my wonderful new creation."

"Sounds good to me," Sephiroth replied. "I will rendevous with you later, Wesker."

Wesker looked back through the double doors, "Chris...Jill...You two are my top agents. It's been nice knowing you."

Of course, this was also around the time Daisy first appeared, the girl remembering taking out some zombie dogs after finding the deceased Joseph Frost nearby. She pitied the poor guy but knew a mission had to be done.

Even Richard started getting memories, arriving in the mansion with Rebecca, encountering Yawn and getting bitten, nearly dying of the poison. It was the quick thinking of Chris and Jill that saved his life, and he would be more than willing to repay that dept.

Rebecca recalled Billy Coen, hoping her friend was alright.

All four of them continued to reflect, as they headed toward their big mission to bring down Shinra and Umbrella.

Present Day, in the H-Shaped Room.

The group of heroes had used the Chess Plugs to unlock the door preventing their escape. Of course they were still a bit shaken up by prior events. Between the deaths of both Ben and The Chief, mixed with the arrival of the G Monster, not to mention the other monster from the police station, things were looking grim for the heroes.

"Glad we finally found these plugs," Leon said. "Still, a Chess Board?"

"You know, this hardly surprises me," Clint said, pulling something out of his pocket. "Check these out."

In his hands were four keys, each one having a different symbol on them. One had the shape of a blue spade on top, one had a pink diamond, one had a red heart and one had a green club.

"What are these?" Claire asked.

"Precinct keys," Clint explained. "When Natasha and I came here, we were given these to get around the building."

"Very unique designs, each key unlocked different doors inside the RPD," Natasha said.

"Do you wanna hold onto them?" Clint asked. "A little souvenir from what would have been your workplace."

"Yeah sure, I can hold onto the Legacy of the Raccoon Police Department," Leon said, taking the keys in hand.

"I will say this, some designers have very unique ideas," Claire said.

"Sure do," Natasha said. "Well, good time as any to continue on, hopefully out of this terrible place."

"Right, everyone ready?" Clint asked. "Anything could be behind that door."

"Hopefully there aren't more monsters," Sherry said. "But, I know that's just me being hopeful."

"We'll be fine, as long as we stick together," Natasha said.

"Yeah, together," Leon said, clutching his gun tightly.

"You'll be safe with us Sherry, don't you worry," Claire said, staying close to the girl. "We're ready to go, let's get this door unlocked."

After inputting the plugs, Clint carefully opened the door, keeping his bow and arrow aimed as he slowly walked through with his team.

Claire, staying in the back, kept Sherry close to her, hoping to bring comfort to the young girl as they explored new territory.

Fortunately things looked good, there was merely a staircase on the other side of the door, one that led down toward a sewer area.

"Great, more sewer waters," Claire said.

"If it'll get us out of the city, then we'll have to endure," Clint said.

"Yeah, let's..." Leon noticed the ceiling nearby crumbling. "Careful, something's coming."

"I swear if it's that trench coat guy," Clint said, aiming his bow and arrow while everyone else aimed their guns.

Fortunately, it wasn't a monster, rather it was Ada making an unexpected entrance.

"Ada!" Leon called, immediately making his way downstairs.

"Where the hell did she come from?" Clint asked. "That woman is freaking suspicious sometimes."

"Let's get some answers," Natasha said, going down as well with her team.

"What was that about before!?" Leon scolded to the woman in red. "Running off like that is reckless and stupid! There are zombies everywhere, and not to mention that monster that killed Ben and The Chief!"

"There's another monster lurking around, a giant in a green trench coat," Natasha said.

"I've seen him around a couple of times, gave him a nickname too, Mr. X," Ada said.

"...The hell kind of nickname is that?" Clint asked. "I mean, I guess I see the point, but still."

Leon groaned in annoyance, "Listen Ada, you seem capable and all, but that will only get you so far by yourself. If you want to live, you're gonna have to come with us."

"You really believe that's a good idea?" Ada asked.

"Why wouldn't it be?" Claire pointed out. "There's strength in numbers, or do you think you'll fare any better with the monsters that exist here?"

"Alright, we'll do this your way, for now," Ada said.

"About damn time," Clint said. "Now that we got another member for our party, let's get going."

"Right," Leon said, opening a nearby gate. "Looks like we'll be heading further into the sewers. It could be our best bet for leaving this city."

"Keep your eyes open for monsters though," Clint said. "Remember those spiders we saw earlier."

"Ugh, those spiders..." Leon lamented as they walked down the new area. "I didn't think they could get any creepier, for them to be that size, total nightmare. Really don't' like them."

"I don't think anyone does," Claire said, though recalled her current company. "Uh, no offense to you Natasha."

"No, it's fine, I am called Black Widow for a reason," Natasha said.

"Because you have a black suit and red hair," Clint said.

"Just realized that you're a spider-themed superhero," Leon said. "But you don't crawl around on walls, so you're good in my book."

"If you find that weird, you're gonna hate Spider-Man," Clint said.

"Spider-Man?" Leon took a moment to register that name. "Wait, I've heard it before."

"I mentioned him to you not too long ago, he should be in the city, I'm not sure where," Black Widow said.

"Who is he?" Sherry asked.

"An up and coming hero," Natasha said. "Don't let the name and powers fool you, he's not all that creepy. He's actually very friendly."

"And immature," Clint said.

"I mean, he's still a teenager, he's expected to be immature," Natasha said.

"A teenager?" Claire asked. "How old exactly?"

"Well, he's still in High School," Clint said.

"High School? What's he doing in this city then?" Claire asked.

"Wasn't our call," Natasha said.

"Heroes certainly are getting much younger these days," Ada said. then gestured to Sherry. "Soon we might see a pro hero that's the same age as this young girl."

"That reminds me, none of you have quirks, right?" Clint asked.

"Quirk?" Sherry asked.

"You know, powers, mutations...you're not meta humans," Clint said. "I know Leon mentioned being quirkless."

"I am too," Claire said. "Same with my brother, I think. He's got excellent eyesight, well above human, but not an official quirk."

"If he did, he probably has what I have," Clint said.

"Personally, I don't have anything worth mentioning," Ada said.

"Me neither," Sherry said. "But what about those monsters? Can they use their powers?"

"Not to my knowledge," Clint said. "Guess it requires some type of brain function. Though some of these mutations we've seen could be attributed to those monsters, like those creepy Lickers."

"Think it's possible that's how that giant with the Trench Coat is so strong?" Natasha asked.

"Maybe," Clint said, the group heading through a door. They spotted an empty office room, nothing particular to note.

"At least we're out of the waters for now," Clint said, then spotted something on the table. "Hey check this out."

"Is that a Magnum?" Natasha asked. "What would one be doing here?"

"I see some bullets too, wonder if whoever was here was preparing to fight the zombies? "Claire said.

"Or anything else," Leon said, picking up the Magnum. "Well, at least we're better armed."

"There's an elevator," Ada said, gesturing to a red lift. "Let's see where it leads."

"Hopefully further out of the city," Clint said. "It's kind of small though, we should go in groups."

"I'll lead the way," Leon said, taking charge.

"I'll be right behind you," Natasha said. "Ada, you come with us too."

"Fine by me," Ada said, stepping onto the lift.

"We'll be waiting for you," Leon said to the other three as he pressed the button, sending the lift down.

Once in a hallway below, the trio immediately spotted a blonde hair woman in a lab coat.

"Who are you?" Natasha asked. The woman didn't answer, she instead ran off with Ada immediately giving chase. "Ada! Where are you going!?"

As Ada got close, the woman began opening fire. "Head's up!" Leon rushed in and while he managed to save Ada from the gunfire, he himself ended up getting shot near his left shoulder.

"Leon!" Natasha shouted, immediately running over to check on the cop. "Shit, who the hell was that woman!?"

"I think I might know, I have to go and talk to her," Ada said, making her leave.

"Are you fucking serious!?" Natasha shouted. "Leon just got shot saving your life!"

"Do you want information or not!?" Ada asked. "If you're worried, then you stay with Leon, I'm going after that woman."

Natasha groaned in annoyance as Ada made her leave, the spy still checking over Leon's wound. "Leon, can you hear me?"

"...Natasha...?" Leon did his best to sit up, but the cop was still in pain. "Gah...!"

"Leon, don't overexert yourself," Natasha said, the woman checking her person. "Where's that First Aid Spray?"

A few seconds later, Claire had come down with Clint and Sherry, then immediately spotted her injured friend. "Leon!"

"Holy shit!" Clint rushed over with Claire and Sherry, kneeling beside the cop. "We heard gunfire, we didn't think you were the ones being shot at!"

"Leon, who did this to you?" Claire asked.

"I...don't know, it was a woman in a lab coat," Leon said.

"Lab Coat?" Sherry wondered. "Could it be..."

"That's weird, wonder why she would do that?" Clint asked. "Wait, where's Ada?"

"Ada went after the woman," Leon said, trying to stand up. "I gotta go make sure she'll be okay."

"Leon wait!" Claire said, preventing Leon from moving too much. "You just got shot, don't overexert yourself!"

"I'll be fine, it's Ada I'm worried about," Leon said.

"You can't be serious!" Claire said, the girl clearly distressed. "You should be worried about yourself right now!"

"Claire, please calm yourself," Clint said. "I know you're worried but remember, Leon's a cop. It's his job to worry about others. We don't know who this woman is either, Leon has a reason to be worried."

Sherry checked Leon's wound, the girl almost in tears at the sight of the injured cop, "Does it hurt?"

"Not a lot, nothing I can't handle," Leon said, trying to feign a smile to ease her worries.

"The wound isn't fatal," Natasha said. "Leon will be fine but he needs a moment to rest."

"But, Ada..." Leon said.

"I'll go find her," Clint said. "You girls stay here with Leon, make sure he's alright. Nat, did you apply any medicine?"

"Yes, I have him a spray, but we might need some more medical supplies," Natasha said. "I suggest looking for some herbs, preferably Green ones."

"Alright, you girls figure that part out," Clint said, making his leave. "I'll radio you if anything happens!"

As Clint left, Claire stood to face the other lift, "I'll go and look for supplies."

"...Leon," Sherry carefully hugged the cop. "I'm sorry."

"What are you apologizing for? You didn't hurt me," Leon said.

"No, but...I think I know who did," Sherry said. "That might have been my mom."

"Your mom?" Natasha asked. "Does she have blonde hair?"

"Yes, just like my dad," Sherry said.

"And you mentioned your parents work for Umbrella," Claire said.

"As scientists," Sherry said.

"...So, that might have been your mom then," Natasha said. "But why would your mom do something like this?"

"I don't know, she's never done anything like this," Sherry said.

"Maybe she thought Leon was a zombie?" Claire asked.

"When she saw us, she immediately ran, then intentionally opened fire on Ada," Natasha said. "That's why Leon got hurt, he was trying to save her life."

"This doesn't add up, I don't know why my mom would want to hurt Ada or Leon," Sherry said.

"Look, we'll figure it out, for now let's just go and get the first aid supplies," Claire said.

"You two go, I'll keep an eye on Leon," Natasha said. "Just be careful."

"We will," Claire said. "Come on Sherry."

"Okay," Sherry said, following Claire to the other room, the two taking the second left.

Leon groaned in pain, Natasha quick to check on his wounds, "Stop moving, just because the wound isn't fatal doesn't mean it won't get worse without proper treatment."

"Sorry, I just hate lying here and being useless," Leon said.

"You just saved a woman's life, you're far from useless," Natasha said.

"Still, I feel like I could be doing more," Leon said.

"Even the strongest heroes need to recover from an injury," Natasha said. "Being brave and having power does not make you invincible."

"I suppose so," Leon said.

"Just rest for a bit, Claire will be back with some herbs," Natasha said. "And maybe Clint can find some information about that woman, and if she really is Sherry's mother."

Meanwhile with Ada, the curious woman had followed the mysterious scientist to a large control room, searching around the premises for her.

"I know I saw her run in here," Ada commented as she looked around. "Where could she-"

Suddenly her gun got shot out of her hand by the woman in question. "Don't move." The woman kept her gun aimed as she walked closer, "You were with that cop and S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent, weren't you?" As she got closer, her gun clicked, "Identify yourself."

"Ada Wong," the woman replied.

"Did you say 'Ada Wong'?" the woman asked. "Funny, I think I heard that name once before. If I recall, there was a man from Chicago who came to help with the T-Virus research and used his girlfriend's name as his password. Ada and John I believe."

"How do you know John? Who are you?" Ada asked, both women unaware that Clint was not too far away, listening in.

"Annette Birkin, my husband's the one responsible for the creation of the G-Virus, William Birkin," the woman explained.

"So that really is Sherry's mother..." Clint muttered to himself. "The poor girl isn't going to like this."

"John's dead by the way, he became another zombie, my condolences," Annette said, a hint of sarcasm in her voice. "And while I may regret this, you will be joining him shortly. No one is taking the G-Virus away from me."

"G-Virus?" Ada asked, this perking Clint's attention much more.

"It's capable of creating the ultimate bioweapon," Annette explained. "Its potential is greater than that of the T-Virus."

"If your husband created the G-Virus, does that mean you know who that monster in the police station is?" Ada said.

"He is my husband," Annette confirmed, this information surprising not only Ada but also Clint.

"That monster is Sherry's dad?" Clint said to himself. "Shit...that girl was being chased by her mutated father."

"It's all Umbrella's fault," Annette said. "They were the ones who tried to steal his research away."

Days prior, it was shown that a group of men in Umbrella's Security Service, led by the top agent HUNK were seen entering an Umbrella lab.

Inside William Birkin was continuing his own research, grabbing a vial from the canister, "It's sheer perfection, my precious G-Virus. No one will ever take you away from me."

Suddenly he heard the door open, the scientist was quick to place a G-Virus sample in his pocket, put the rest in a white briefcase, and grabbed a gun to aim at the two operatives.

"So, you're finally come for me, have you?" William said, slowly backing away with his briefcase.

"Doctor, we're here to collect the G-Virus from you," HUNK said.

"My apologies, but I will not just hand over my life's work," William said, backing up more and accidentally knocking something over.

Thinking it was a gunshot, HUNK's ally opened fire on William, wounding the scientist as the operative leader was quick to have his ally cease his attack.

"Don't shoot, you might damage the sample!" HUNK scolded, walking over and grabbing William's briefcase. "Found it, let's go."

As the two left, Annette had come into the room, spotting her husband's injury. "No! William!" She was quick to kneel by his side. "Hold on darling, I'm going to take care of that wound first, stay here."

As she left, William brought out a sample of the virus that he still had on him, and injected himself. Within minutes, he had transformed into a terrible monster and hunted down each member of the Umbrella Security Service operatives in the sewers, seemingly killing all of them and destroying the briefcase they stole.

The virus samples from the briefcase spilled on the sewer floors, slowly infecting the rats in the sewer area.

Back in the present, Ada was amazed by everything she had just heard, "So, your husband injected the virus into his own body?"

"That's correct, the G-Virus has the ability to revitalize cells," Annette explained.

"And those rats in the sewers, they were the ones who caused the outbreak in the city," Ada said.

"Due to his virus induced mutation, William should have lost all his memories as a human by now," Annette said. "Even worse, the G-Virus creatures have the abilities to implant embryos into other lifeforms."

"And create offsprings..." Ada said.

"Offsprings!?" Clint said, recalling what happened before.

"Who's there!?" Annette asked, Clint lamenting giving his position away.

"Don't shoot, I'm just here to help!" Clint said.

"You...you're a member of The Avengers," Annette said. "Did Nick Fury send you to destroy what remains of my husband's research!?"

"I'm just here to rescue people...including your daughter!" Clint said.

"My daughter?" Annette asked, slowly feeling enraged. "What does my daughter have to do with this!?"

"Me and some allies found her in the basement of the police station," Clint said. "She said a monster was after her! From the sounds of things, it's your mutated husband."

"Oh no...it's happening," Annette said.

"What's happening?" Clint asked.

"I trust you hear what I said before about the embryos?" Annette asked.

"Yeah, we saw it happen with Chief Irons," Clint said. "Some monster tore out of his body because of something your husband did!"

"Bodies of individuals with non-related genetic coding are likely to reject the embryo, but since Sherry is his daughter, that possibility is non-existent," Annette said.

"The hell!? You're telling me he could do that to his own daughter!?" Clint shouted in disgust.

"A basic survival instinct I'm afraid," Annette said.

"Why do you sound so calm!? Your husband's about to implant some freaking ugly monster inside your freaking daughter!" Clint shouted. "The same daughter who's ashamed of the fact that you just shot that police officer who's been doing his best to keep her safe!"

"So, my daughter is indeed with you then!?" Annette shouted in fury.

"Yeah, kind of how I knew all this stuff," Clint said. "This woman's off her nut."

"So that's you're game, is it!?" Annette asked.

"Huh? Lady do you need pills or something?" Clint asked.

"I won't let you take my daughter from me your government rats!" Annette was about to shoot but Ada managed to grab her wrist in an attempt to wrestle the gun away from Annette. In the middle of this, Ada had slapped Annette off the railing, sending the woman plummeting to the water below.

"Holy shit..." Clint said. "Is she still alive?"

"Don't know," Ada said, then heard some yelling. "Wait, was that Sherry?"

"It came from over there!" Clint said. "Let's go!"

The two went down a nearby ladder, seeing an injured Sherry resting on some garbage.

"Wait, how did she get here!?" Clint asked.

"Hurry, let's go and..." Ada looked into the water below and started screaming in worry.

"Of course our luck is this bad!" Clint shouted, grabbing his bow and arrow.

Meanwhile Leon was trying to stand, much to Natasha's annoyance, "Leon, you need to learn a little patience."

"Sorry, I just have this bad feeling all of a sudden," Leon said. "We should get moving before-"

"Problem! Problem!" Came Claire's voice as she came down the elevator, jumping off once she was close enough to the ground.

"Claire, what's wrong?" Natasha asked.

"I lost Sherry!" Claire said.

Natasha's eyes widened in disbelief, "You did what!? How did you lose her!?"

"I don't know, one minute she's right behind me and the next, she's gone!" Claire said, the girl clearly distressed. "I'm really worried about her!"

"There's no time to wait," Leon said, fully standing up. "I'm going to find Sherry!"

Before either girl could protest, Leon had made his leave, Natasha groaning in annoyance, "If it's not one thing, it's another."

"I did find those herbs," Claire said, pulling a couple out of her pocket.

"Good, that's one thing taken care of," Natasha said. "Come on, let's hurry."

Leon ran through the sewers once again, while he was bothered by the water and smell, he was too worried about Sherry to care.

"Sherry!" Leon called. "Ada!"

"Wait up!" Natasha called, she and Claire trying to catch up. "Don't go on without us!"

"Let's hurry!" Leon said. "Otherwise-"

"Watch out!" Claire called, pointing to a giant spider overhead.

"Shit!" Leon quickly avoided some poison dropping down on him as Natasha grabbed her guns and opened fire. Unfortunately, three more began to come, freaking everyone out.

"Oh God, they are huge!" a disgusted Claire said.

"Mind helping out then!?" Natasha said, Claire quickly grabbing her handgun and opening fire.

One spider tried to flank Leon, the cop was quick enough to pull out his newly acquired Magnum and killed the spider in one shot.

"Wow, this gun's pretty great," Leon noted.

"Leon! Focus!" Natasha said, killing another spider.

"Right," Leon fired again, taking out the remaining three. "Awesome."

"Leon, this isn't a game!" Claire said.

"I know but...watch out behind you!" Leon called.

Claire turned around and instantly blasted an oncoming spider with a Grenade Launcher, melting the creature instantly.

"Whoa, what did you just do?" Leon asked. "Also, I thought you ran low on the Grenades."

"I found some rounds for it in the other room," Claire said. "Honestly, I didn't expect this, but it works at least."

"Let's just hurry before more come," Natasha said.

The group ran down the sewers until they spotted a waterfall. From the other side, they could see a door, even if blurred by the water.

"Think we can get through there?" Claire asked.

"The water is flowing too fast, it could be dangerous trying to get through," Natasha said, then noticed a double door on the left of them. "I think that might lead to a control room, let's go."

The group went through the door, spotting a giant room surrounded by green water. As they walked through the walkway, they immediately heard a splash, and aimed their guns.

"I swear, if it's a frog or something," Leon said.

"Oh God, I don't even want to think about that," Claire said.

Emerging from the water was Annette, Leon's eyes widening in shock. "You!"

"Still alive huh...you're a tough one, aren't you?" Annette said, coughing as she keeled over from the shock of falling into the water, barely able to stay up.

"Hey, are you okay? What happened!" Claire asked, kneeling before the woman.

"Get away from me, you're probably just another person who wants my husband's G Virus," Annette said.

"G-Virus...that means your husband is William Birkin," Natasha said. "That also means, you're Sherry's mom."

"That woman in red and that archer did say you three had my daughter," Annette said.

"She's lost somewhere in the sewer system," Claire said. "We're trying to find her."

"She shouldn't even be down here! She's supposed to be in the Police Station!" Annette said. "She and the G-Sample are both in danger. I'll never...forgive..."

Suddenly Annette fell unconscious, to the confusion of the trio before her.

"Sherry and the G-Sample?" Natasha asked. "What could that mean?"

"Worry about that later," Leon said. "Right now, we need to move."

"What about Sherry's mom?" Claire asked. "Should we leave her here?"

"Yeah, I suppose I can't just do that," Leon said. "But she us unconscious, and it would be difficult to move her."

"We could try exploring the area first," Natasha said. "The only problem is there's no feasible way to access that door on the other side."

"Unless we swim," Claire said. "Which is hard to do with Annette like this."

"Wait, give me the Valve Handle a moment," Leon said, Natasha bringing it out and handing it over to the cop. He quickly used it on a handle behind him to lower the bridge. "It worked!"

"...I can't believe that thing came in handy again," Natasha said. "You're really lucky, Leon."

"I have an instinct for this type of thing," Leon said. "Hey, maybe it's my quirk."

"Pfft, like that's possible," Natasha said. "Let's get across."

Claire turned to Annette, "Wait, what about-"

"Leave her here for a moment, we'll scout the area first and then bring her," Natasha said, leading the two across. "Let's hurry."

Once on the other side, the two entered a large tunnel, slowly walking down the path.

"That smell, this must be where all the garbage goes," Leon said.

Once on the other side, they could hear some gunshots being fired. They hurried over to see Ada and Clint attacking something in the water.

"Ada!" Leon called.

"Clint!" Natasha called.

Claire took note of another presence lying unconscious on the garbage, "Sherry!"

"All of you, get back!" Clint warned. "It's not safe!"

"What's not-" Suddenly Leon along with Claire and Natasha were knocked back when a giant alligator emerged from the water.

"Oh come on! Now there's a giant alligator!?" Leon shouted.

"This looks bad, fall back for now!" Natasha ordered.

The three quickly stood up and ran from the giant reptile, though it was quick to give chase to the trio.

"We need to get out of here!" Claire said.

"But what about Ada, Sherry and Clint!?" Leon asked.

"Figure something out fast!" Natasha said, opening fire on the Alligator.

"That thing looks way too big to kill!" Claire said. "We would need a tank to have a chance against it!"

Leon anxiously looked around and then spotted something interesting nearby. "That Cylinder!"

"What about it!?" Claire asked, opening fire herself.

Leon pressed a button, causing a gas cylinder to fall to the ground before the Alligator. "I hope this works."

"Claire, hold your fire," Natasha said, waiting to see what would happen.

The moment the Alligator got close enough, it took the cylinder in its mouth, Leon immediately shooting and blowing up the creature's head, the force of the explosion knocking all three of them back.

The plan worked, the monster was dead and there was nothing more to worry about for the moment.

"Great thinking, Leon," Natasha said.

"Thanks, I wasn't too sure if it would work, but I'm glad it did," Leon said.

"Nat!" Clint called. "Leon! Claire!"

"We're down here!" Claire called. "The monster's dead!"

"Seriously!?" Holy shit, that's awesome!" Clint praised.

"Awesome? What part of this is awesome?" Claire wondered. "I thought we were gonna die!"

"I mean, if we can survive the G monster, we can take on some silly alligator," Leon said.

"I'd hardly call that comparable," Claire said.

"Let's just hurry onward," Leon said.

"You do that, I'm going to head back and check on Annette," Natasha said, heading back towards where the scientist woman was.

Leon and Claire made their way down the tunnel to the sewer area. Both of them stepped waste deep into the water, grimacing at the feeling.

"I really hate this place," Leon said.

"Let's tough our way through," Claire said as she and Leon traversed the water. From the looks of things, Ada had already retrieved Sherry, the woman herself having endured the water.

"How are you feeling, honey?" Ada asked.

"My stomach hurts..." Sherry said.

"Hurts how?" Claire asked. "Is it a stomachache?"

"You didn't eat anything here by any chance, did you?" Leon asked.

"No, I didn't eat anything," Sherry said. "I haven't eaten in hours."

"Maybe you're hungry," Leon theorized. "I could use a bite to eat myself actually."

"Save it for when we're out of here," Clint said. "Also, where's Nat?"

"We found Sherry's mom, she passed out a few rooms ago, so we went to secure a route to get her to safety," Leon said. "Good thing we did, otherwise that alligator would be the one dining on a meal."

"So, my mom's okay?" Sherry asked.

"Glad I didn't accidentally kill her," Ada thought to herself.

"She's exhausted but fine," Leon said. "She seemed very worried about you, and not too happy that you aren't in the police station."

"I hope she's not mad at me for not being there," Sherry said.

"It was too dangerous to be there anyway," Claire said. "You're fine with us, we'll keep you safe."

"Leon! Claire!" Natasha called, getting everyone's attention. "Annette's gone!"

"Gone?" Clint asked. "Gone how?"

"She's not there, I showed up and she wasn't where we left her," Natasha said.

"That's weird, where could she…" suddenly Leon keeled over in pain. "Ugh, this bullet wound isn't making things any easier."

"Told you not to just run off," Natasha said. "Claire, hand over the green herbs. Red herbs too if you have any."

Claire did as told, Natasha using the herbs to help reduce Leon's injury and alleviate his pain, if only by a little.

"Let's get you patched up," Ada said. After a bit, Leon had a bandage wrapped around his body, keeping the cop stable for the time being. "I owe you for saving me."

"Don't mention it, just doing my job," Leon said. "I'm glad you're okay too."

"Yeah, I'm fine, aside from finding out that John's dead," Ada said.

"John? Your boyfriend?" Leon asked.

"Long story, but nothing that can be done now I'm afraid," Ada said. "Anyway, we should be moving now."

"One problem, there's a waterfall blocking the door," Natasha said. "We need to turn the water off."

"There might be something here we can use, come on," Ada said, going upstairs with everyone else.

"What about my mom?" Sherry asked.

"We'll find her too," Natasha said.

"By the way Sherry, did your mom give you something called a 'G-Virus'?" Claire asked. "Like a test tube or a vial?"

"A G-Virus?" Sherry asked. "I've never heard of that."

"Are you absolutely sure?" Claire asked.

"Yeah, I mean, didn't your father work on it?" Clint asked.

"My dad never really shared his work with me," Sherry said. "Why would my dad create a virus though? Are you sure you have the right information?"

"Why would her mom say that Sherry and the G-Virus are in danger though?" Claire wondered.

"We'll worry about this later," Ada said. "Come on, we need to get moving."

"Right, let's hurry up the ladder everyone," Natasha said.

One by one, everyone ascended the ladder to the top of the facility. Once at the top, they ran into a little problem, one Clint pointed out, very much confused, "Uh, Ada, you remember a bridge being here too, right?"

"Yes, I remember one being here," Ada said.

"...Well, unless anyone can jump across...we need to get that bridge back," Clint said.

"I'm on it," Leon said, heading back down.

After a tedious wait, Leon had gotten the bridge back up, allowing the group to traverse across and activate what was needed to shut off the water, or so they hoped.

"Let's go check on the door that leads out of here," Leon said.

"We can check that fan, there's a ladder that leads back to near where we first saw Annette," Ada said. "Come this way."

The group followed Ada up the ladder, quickly getting through the tunnel to avoid the bugs and arrived back on the other side. From what they could see, all the water was gone.

"Looks like we did something, come on, let's hurry," Leon said as they went back down. Things seemed calm for the moment, but of course it would not last.

Suddenly moans were heard across the area as zombies began to make their presence known, much to the annoyance of the heroes present.

"Of course it's not that easy," Leon said. "Everyone still has plenty of bullets, right?"

Suddenly a large thump was heard. The group immediately turned around to spot the same trench coat monster from before behind some bars.

"You can't be serious right now!" Claire shouted.

"Never mind fighting then! Just run!" Leon ordered as the monster tore open the gates. Everyone did their best to bypass the zombies, keeping combat as limited as possible, tossing zombies aside, getting a quick shot or if armed, using a knife to keep them at bay.

"Stay close to me, Sherry!" Claire said, maneuvering the girl past the zombies and away from the monster.

One zombie had grabbed Leon from behind, trying to bite the cop as he kept it at bay, "Get the hell off me!"

"No! Leon!" Natasha was about to fire but she too got grabbed, "Bastard! Let go!"

"Claire! Keep running!" Clint ordered as he aimed his bow and arrow. "Watch over Sherry!"

Leon had kicked the zombie away into the other monster, the one dubbed as Mr. X. The larger creature picked the zombie up by the head and effortlessly crushed it, leaving a mess of blood on the ground.

"Holy shit...that's some power!" Leon said as Natasha kicked her monster away.

Mr. X passed by another zombie, slamming its fist against the creature's head and crushing it on impact. Mr. X then punched the head off another zombie, sending it flying to where Claire was, the gruesome sight freeing her and Sherry out.

"At least he's saving us ammo," Leon said. "Let's hurry get out of here before we're next!"

The group slipped passed the remaining zombies, leaving them to Mr. X as they ran toward the now unblocked door.

"Home safe!" Clint said.

"Almost," Natasha said.

They made their way through the door, past a dirty tunnel, putting as much distance between them and the monster as possible. The sudden shock and falling dirt not easing their worries,. Despite that, they just kept running as much as possible.

Eventually they arrived in a room, immediately spotting a cable car.

"That's our ticket out of here, hurry!" Clint said.

Everyone immediately ran inside, Natasha quick to figure out the controls and activating the car. Before long, it began moving, leading the party elsewhere and more importantly, away from the monster.

"Alright, that should buy us some time," Leon said. "Wonder where this cable car leads?"

"Is that something we should have considered before coming on here?" Claire asked.

"Do you want to wait around for Mr. X as Ada calls him?" Clint asked. "Look, we're safe from the monster, let's just-"

Suddenly they heard a loud thump, and within seconds, a claw pierced the roof, barely missing Leon. "Crap!"

"Oh God damn it!" Clint shouted, grabbing his bow and arrow and immediately firing. "We can never catch a freaking break here!"

"Sherry, stay down," Claire said, keeping her gun aimed and firing when the opportunity presented itself.

The monster pulled away, stabbing down again and trying to hit one of the heroes, everyone opening fire and keeping their eye on the roof.

"What kind of monster is this?" Sherry asked.

"Must be from G," Clint theorized, keeping a closer eye out.

The monster again pierced down, but Ada was quick to open fire, seemingly injuring the and from which the claw grew. After a few minutes, the monster stopped attacking, and even more the cable car came to a stop.

Carefully the group exited the cable car, not wanting to risk getting ambushed again as they held their weapons out.

"It seems to be gone," Leon said. "That is one determined monster though."

"This is bad, that means there's two dangerous monsters trying to find us," Claire said. "I don't get it, why are they after us in particular?"

"Bad luck?" Clint said. "That one monster, Mr. X, he's definitely on a mission. It's like someone sent a hitman after us. That other monster though, could be pure animal instinct, or something else."

"Come on, we should get through this place, hopefully it's not as dangerous," Natasha said.

As they opened a door and went down the hallway, they spotted a few zombies in the area, much to the group's annoyance.

"This freaking outbreak stretched out far," Leon said, opening fire with the others, trying to make their way through the Vacant Factory.

"I'm running a little low," Claire said. "Anyone have extras?"

"Sorry, none on me," Leon said, pulling out his shotgun and blasting the monsters. Moving quickly, they managed to escape the room, but came across more trouble when a licker leapt their way.

Fortunately Leon was quick to blast it with his shotgun and Claire blasted it with her acid, this bullet in particular causing extra pain for the licker before dying.

"Guess the acid works well on the exposed muscle," Claire said. "I only have a few more rounds, so I gotta be careful."

The group continued on through the hall, hoping to avoid any more monsters. Fortunately they arrived in a safe room, with no monsters and some extra ammunition.

"Good, we can refill a bit," Leon said.

"Clint, how are your arrows?" Natasha asked.

"I only have a few left," Clint said. "Some broke from over usage, others I couldn't get back. Maybe there's some material nearby so I can make some more, even if it's amateurish."

"Better than nothing," Natasha said, grabbing some gear.

Sherry looked back toward the door, still thinking about everything that's happened. Between the monsters and her mother's sudden appearance. Suddenly she began to feel a bit lightheaded, nearly stumbling over.

"Sherry!" Leon said, checking up on her. "Hey, are you alright?"

"I feel dizzy now," Sherry said.

"You must be exhausted from all this running," Claire said. "Don't worry, we're that much closer to getting out of here, maybe even finding your parents."

Clint and Ada both knew that goal was ill-fated, and realized they hadn't told the others everything.

"Leon, Claire, Nat, mind meeting me outside?" Clint asked. "I need you to check on something."

"I'll stay here with Sherry," Ada said.

"Alright, right behind you," Claire said, her and the others following Clint outside.

"What's happening?" Sherry asked.

"Uh, it's nothing sweetheart, the adults just need to have a conversation with each other," Ada said. "Does your stomach still hurt?"

"A little, it almost feels like something's moving inside of me," Sherry said.

"...Dear God..." Ada muttered to herself.

Outside, the others were curious as to what Clint had to say, though once out there, Leon couldn't help but notice what looked like a train. "Think that locomotive can get us out of this city?"

"We'll look into that in a second, but I need to tell you all something," Clint said. "It's about Sherry's parents."

"What about them?" Claire asked.

"First, did she tell you anything when you found her?" Clint asked.

"Just that Sherry and the G-Sample are in danger," Claire said. "That's why I asked her about it before."

"That's all huh? Well there's something you need to know," Clint said. "The monster that attacked us before in the H-Shaped Room, the one that killed Ben and The Chief, that monster is actually William Birkin."

This reveal of course caught everyone by surprise, the reality hitting them all really hard.

"That means...that the monster that's been after us, is Sherry's father," Claire said.

"Apparently a few days ago, some Umbrella agents tried stealing the G-Virus from William Birkin, and shot him in the process," Clint said. "To exact his revenge, Birkin injected himself with the virus and transformed into that monstrosity. He got revenge on the men that tried to kill him, in doing so, inadvertently caused the T-Virus outbreak in Raccoon City."

"So not only is Sherry's father the monster, but he's also the reason the city got infected," Leon said. "All this over the G-Virus."

"That's not all, apparently due to some survival instinct, those with the G-Virus seek to plant embryos in others, especially of those with similar genetic structures," Clint said. "This creates offsprings and allows their species to multiply."

"Wait, is that why Annette was worried about Sherry?" Claire asked. "Is William going to do to her what he did to The Chief?"

"Sweet Jesus..." Leon said. "That might be why that monster is after us! For all we know, it wants to implant an embryo into all of us!"

"I am not letting that happen," Natasha said. "I am fine dying a lot of ways, that is not one of them."

"Now that you're all caught up, let's find a way out of here before that monster shows it's face," Clint said.

Once back inside the room, Ada was seen checking some nearby computers, "Good, you're back. There might be a way down into Umbrella's lab from here."

"Down? What about out of the city?" Leon asked.

"Says we need special clearance for that," Ada said. "There are a pair of keys here that only allow us to go up and down."

"Great...I don't suppose Umbrella's lab is any better, maybe they have security," Leon said.

"Would we be able to get inside?" Claire asked.

"Well, we do have Sherry, her parents work for Umbrella," Ada said.

"That and both Clint and I work with S.H.I.E.L.D., if anyone has a problem, they can take it up with us." Natasha said.

"Alright, let's get going then," Ada said, grabbing the D Key.

The group stepped onto the locomotive, activating the nearby Turntable and heading inside. The platform began to go down, taking everyone to the floor below.

Inside the cart, Sherry began to clutch her stomach in pain, the girl now whimpering from the feeling. "My stomach...it really hurts!"

"Sherry!" Claire checked on the girl, placing a hand on her forehead. "She's burning up. Is she catching a cold."

"It might be worse," Ada said. "She said she felt something moving inside her just a few minutes ago. I imagine Clint caught you up to speed, about G and all."

"Wait, moving inside...does that mean-" Suddenly they heard a thumping on the train, everyone getting their guns ready.

Suddenly a claw pieced through the side car, striking Ada and leaving the woman injured on the floor.

"Ada!" Leon checked on her, she was bleeding but from the looks of things, nothing too serious right now. Leon angrily faced the door, "I'll kill that bastard!"

"Leon, wait up!" Claire said as the cop left, the others quickly following.

As they emerged from the train, Claire barely dodged a pipe that was thrown at her. From above they could see the mutated William Birkin.

"Doctor Birkin! Is there really no shred of humanity left inside of you!?" Clint asked. "Your daughter Sherry's here! She's in danger! Would you let her die!?"

Unfortunately, William Birkin's humanity was long gone, further demonstrated by his head being engulfed down into his left pectoral muscle as a new head grew in its place. The monster then grew larger claws as a giant eyeball popped out of his right arm.

"Well that's gonna haunt my dreams for the next few decades," Leon said. Suddenly the monster leapt down to strike each of them opening fire on the beast.

"Aim for the eyeball!" Clint instructed, everyone focused on attacking that part of his body, seemingly stunning him.

Letting out a massive cry, William rushed in for a slash attack at the group, each of them rolling out the way, Natasha unleashing her bullets onto Birkin.

Claire pulled out her Grenade Launcher, firing an acid rough, stunning the monster as it writhed in pain.

"Out of the way!" Leon said, pulling out his Magnum, opening fire to further damage the beast, knocking against the side.

"Tried to talk things out with ya!" Clint shouted, firing some arrows at the creature's head as Leon rushed in with a combat knife and jabbed the monster, Claire doing something similar with a S.T.A.R.S. knife she had on her person.

"Wait, how long did you have that?" Clint asked.

"Never mind, just keep attacking," Claire said.

"Right," Clint brought out a special arrow. "This one will be good."

Birkin lunged to attack, Clint rolling out the way as Leon brought out his shotgun and started blasting, Natasha firing away on her own guns.

Claire kept firing until her gun clicked, "Out of ammo!"

Leon's shotgun also ran dry, "Same here!" He pulled out his handgun and fired, but Birkin grabbed him by the throat, lifting him into the air. "Bastard! Let me go!"

Claire brought out a crossbow, firing at the monster's head, briefly distracting it, but giving Clint enough time to reload his arrow.

"Out of the way!" Clint fired his arrow, the brief distraction allowed Leon to kick away and move before it exploded, leaving a huge gaping hole in Birkin's back as the monster fell over, seemingly dead.

"Did that work?" Natasha asked.

"It better," Clint said, keeping his arrow armed. "This guy just doesn't know when to quit."

"After everything that...wait, Ada, Sherry!" Leon looked back. "We gotta check up on them!"

"Leon be careful!" Natasha warned. Just then they heard some roaring as Birkin got back on his feet, seemingly transforming again, getting bigger, showing more exposed muscle and growing more claws.

Everyone aimed their weapons again, ready to keep fighting for their lives as the monster got close. Nearby Claire spotted something under the cable car and grabbed it. It appeared to be a rifle of sorts, unusually shaped.

As Birkin lunged to attack, Claire fired the weapon, electrocuting the monsters as Leon aimed his Magnum and fired at its head a few times before running out.

Birkin quickly jumped on the walls, making his escape as he climbed up the elevator shaft.

"Wow, it actually retreated," Leon commented. "Bit surprised by that outcome."

"Probably went to lick his wounds," Natasha said. "Hopefully we find a way to leave the city before we run into him again."

"Same, at this point we barely have any ammo left, if we don't figure something out, we're going to die," Leon said. "Two of my guns are already dry."

"Nice rifle you got there, Claire," Clint said.

"Thanks, I just found it, didn't even know what it could do," Claire said, holding onto it. "Let's go back inside, check on Sherry and Ada."

The group of heroes returned to the locomotive, and while the threat was suppressed, they knew their troubles were not quite over yet."
