Months prior, right outside Umbrella's lab on top of a Helipad, six people were seen climbing on board a helicopter, hoping to escape the impending destruction of the lab. Richard Aiken was the first, with Brad pulling him on board with help from Rebecca Chambers.

"Hurry on!" Chris ordered. However right behind them, The T-002 Tyrant had emerged from a hole on the ground, immediately knocking Barry Burton out with a whack.

"Barry!" Jill called, then found herself faced to face with the Tyrant as she aimed her gun. "Just won't die, will you?"

The Tyrant tried to attack but Daisy Johnson was quick to whack the creature with her powers, sending it flying. She sent more rocks but the Tyrant burst through and went to impale her.

"Watch out!" Chris Redfield shouted, blasting the Tyrant with his Shotgun while Jill attacked with a Grenade Laucher.

Barry stood up, firing away with his custom Magnum while Rebecca hopped off the helicopter and blasted with her handgun.

"This thing just won't die!" Chris said, firing away and nearly getting impaled but leaping away at the last second. "Shit! Too fast!"

"What the hell did Wesker put in this monster?" Daisy wondered, trying to use her powers but being careful not to hurt her teammates. "Did that man with the long, silver hair have anything to do with it's strength!?"

"Just kill it!" Jill shouted, firing away.

In the helicopter, Brad Vickers brought out a Rocket Launcher, tossing it to his friends, "Try this!"

"Perfect!" Rebecca went to pick up up and attempted to fire at the Tyrant. However the creature managed to knock the rocket away with ease, startling the team medic. "H-how!"

"Holy shit..." Jill said in disbelief. "Was Wesker really not exaggerating when he called that thing the Ultimate Lifeform?"

"No, it's not over yet!" Chris said, firing away at the monster.

The Tyrant knocked Chris back, then kicked away Jill as he dashed at Rebecca, grabbing her by the collar and lifting her up, ready to impale her.

"Really wish you were here right now, Billy!" Rebecca lamented, struggling to escape.

Barry fired with his magnum, hitting the creature in the head as he flung Rebecca aside and sinisterly trotted toward the older S.T.A.R.S. member.

"Barry!" Now it was Richard's turn to run out the Helicopter and opened fire with his custom shotgun, not doing much to bring down Tyrant.

Chris was doing his best to think of a strategy. Running was not an option, even if it was, he couldn't just leave this thing alive. He then saw the Rocket Launcher nearby and made a dash for it.

The Tyrant turned around and went after Chris, but Daisy distracted it with her Earth powers, "I don't think so!"

The Tyrant rushed and punched her against a wall, looking ready to finish the job.

Chris however grabbed the rocket, aiming it at the Tyrant, "You lose, big guy!" He fired the rocket at the Tyrant, this time connecting and blowing the monster to pieces, finally killing it.

A big sigh of relief passed through the area, the heroes satisfied with knowing they stopped such a dangerous creature and kept Raccoon City, and the world, safe from further danger.

With the threat out of the way, everyone boarded the helicopter and flew off, just as the facility behind them finally exploded.

Richard was sitting in front passenger seat, next to Brad. Rebecca was laying on the floor, finally getting some long awaited sleep. Barry was sitting in the back, checking on his gun. Daisy was seen trying to contact S.H.I.E.L.D. to let them know what happened.

Chris sat next to Jill, the latter falling asleep herself, resting her head on Chris's shoulder. The man was a bit surprised but didn't blame her. He was just happy she was safe. However, something told him it wasn't over yet.

In the distance, two spotted the Helicopter leaving. One man being Albert Wesker, the traitorous S.T.A.R.S Captain had a feeling he would be seeing Chris and Jill again very soon.

The other who spotted the Helicopter was the former SOLDIER, Sephiroth He was intrigued that any of them could survive, and wondered what they had in store for the future.

He and his friends knew that the fight against Umbrella was far from over.

Months later, two civilians and a pair of Avengers were doing their best to escape the city, along with a young girl and a mysterious woman. While Claire Redifeld and Hawkeye had their success, all that was left was to see just how Leon Kennedy and Black Widow had survived.

It started once the party was split due to trouble regarding an overheating Locomotive on a Turntable. Two went to explore elsewhere, two more went further down.

While Claire and Clint had gone deep into Umbrella's Lab to find the cure needed for Sherry's infection, Leon and Natasha were checking a portion of the Underground Lab, having stopped before an elevator.

"No power, we're gonna have to find another way around," Natasha said.

"I hope there is one," Leon said. "Otherwise we're going to be stuck here with no chance of escape."

"Well until that happens, let's try to be a little optimistic," Natasha said. "We made it this far after all, so this isn't over just yet."

The two made their way back, spotting another door leading to a large room with steam and a nearby lift.

"Given the design, it's possible we're near a big power supply," Natasha theorized.

"So this place powers the entire building," Leon said. "Guess we should watch our step, last thing we need is a blackout."

"We just need to mind our fire and..." Natasha heard some heaving breathing. "What was that?"

"I know that sound..." Leon looked to the side of the wall and spotted a trio of super lickers, "It's those creepy monsters!"

"Just our luck!" Natasha said, grabbing and gun and firing, taking one out. The other two shouted and leapt at the duo, each of them rolling out the way from the creatures' attack.

Leon was quick to grab his Magnum and blast one in the face, completely destroying its head while Natasha opened fire on the second.

Unfortunately she ran out of ammo and was nearly open for attack, but Leon rushed in and jammed his knife into the creatures brain, grabbing his handgun to put one last shot in to finish the beast off.

"Thanks," Natasha said, checking her gun. "Crap, I think I'm out."

"Maybe there's more ammo around," Leon said, handing over his shotgun. "Try using this for now."

"Eh, not really my style, how about your handgun?" Natasha asked.

"Really? My shotgun's stronger," Leon said.

"Strength isn't everything, I can make better due with a handgun," Natasha said.

"Well, it's your call," Leon said, handing the gun over. "Come on, let's explore this place a bit."

The two made their way through the underground unit, keeping a close eye out on other monsters as they found another lift that brought them lower.

There they spotted a couple of zombies that they immediately took down. As they walked by, they spotted a large iron smelting pool.

"Man, it's hot," Leon said, wiping his head. "I can only imagine what something like this is used for."

"Let's not stick around too long," Natasha said, spotting something of interest nearby. "There, that machine!"

While observing the machine, both Leon and Natasha saw that it was a generator switch for the elevator.

"This is likely for the elevator from before," Natasha said.

"Well that's quite the convenience," Leon said, activating the switch. "Why was it off in the first place?"

"I am not sure, but there might have been a reason," Natasha said. "Still, being stuck down here isn't doing us any favors."

"Got that right, plus we gotta meet up with everyone, and check on Ada," Leon said.

"Sherry too," Natasha said.

"Yeah, of course," Leon said. "Come on, let's hurry."

As they were about to leave, Leon got a radio message from Claire, the cop holding it up, "Leon, Natasha, we left Sherry and Ada in the security office, we're going to see if we can find a cure for the embryo situation."

"Got it," Leon said, placing the radio away. "Looks like Claire's already ahead of us in regard to Sherry. So let's check on Ada."

"That sounds like a good idea," Natasha said.

The two made their way back where they came from until they reached an elevator. Cautiously they opened up and made their way inside.

"Looks like this only goes up one level," Natasha said. "Either this place only has two floors or..."

"Wait, somethin's back here," Leon said, checking a computer. "But whatever this is, it says we need employee clearance."

"If it's important, I can probably hack into it," Natasha said.

"You can hack?" Leon asked.

"Well I am a spy," Natasha said. "I kind of need to know how to hack."

"Uh...yeah, I suppose that makes sense," Leon sheepishly admitted.

"I will admit though..." Natasha said, looking at the computer. "This is a lot more complicated than most computers I've had to deal with. This lab has impressive technology. But I still think I can pull it off."

"If anyone can do it, it's an Avenger," Leon said, pressing a button. "Well, up we go then."

After a few seconds, the two reached a lower floor. Emerging from the elevator, the two kept their guns out, ready for anything that might come their way.

"Think this is where Claire and Clint ended up?" Leon asked.

"Very likely, look," Natasha said, gesturing to the locomotive up ahead. "Claire and Clint are around."

"That also means Sherry and Ada are too," Leon said, walking ahead and spotting something. "This must be the security room."

"Lets head inside," Natasha said.

The two opened the door, gently not to startle anyone inside.

"Sherry?" Leon asked. "Ada?"

The two spotted Sherry lying on the bed, the girl seemingly trying to sleep. Natasha knelt beside her, rubbing her head. "Poor girl. At least she's alright for now."

"Looks like Claire gave Sherry her vest," Leon said.

"Oh yeah, I noticed that too," Natasha said. "That was nice of her, Claire's really good with Sherry. She's a natural big sister. Guess she picked up older sibling tips from her brother."

"Sure seems like it," Leon said, then grumbled in annoyance, "I hate seeing Sherry like this. We were supposed to protect her. Same with Ada, but things always have to go badly for us."

"I know," Natasha said. "There's still a chance."

Sherry opened her eyes, making contact with the incoming duo, "Leon, Natasha, you're okay."

"Yeah, we're fine," Leon said, kneeling beside her. "How are you feeling?"

"Tired," Sherry said. "But it's hard to sleep."

"Yeah, not an easy situation, but do your best," Natasha said. "You'll be safe here."

Sherry looked around, the girl notably confused, "Where's Ada?"

"Oh right, Claire said she was in here," Leon said. "Where did she go?"

"We'll find her," Natasha said, standing up. "Sherry, just try to get some rest."

The two made their exit, trying to come up with another plan.

"We're gonna have to meet with Claire and Clint later," Leon said. "But for now, I think we need to look for Ada."

"Ada...what is that woman thinking?" Natasha wondered. "She's clearly injured yet she's going back out there?"

"Maybe she was worried about us," Leon said.

"There's got to be more to it than that," Natasha said. "That woman tends to act very suspicious sometimes. Did you see how she reacted when she told us her boyfriend's dead? She said it so casually and she hasn't mentioned him since."

"She's probably grieving in her own way," Leon said. "We all have different ways of coping."

"Still, I don't trust her sometimes," Natasha said.

"Hey come on, don't say stuff like that," Leon said. "I know she's a bit mysterious but I can tell she's a good woman."

"Are you saying that because you're a good judge of character, or because you're a young boy with a crush on a woman?" Natasha asked.

"Young? I'm twenty-one!" Leon said. "And no, it's because...well...I just have a good feeling about her."

"It's good that you want to see the good in others, but remember, you're a cop," Natasha said. "You need to exercise a little suspicion once in a while, you don't know if this woman's scheming something."

"What could she be scheming anyway?" Leon asked. "What does she have to gain?"

"Given that she seemed to know Annette, and the fact that Annette was worried about the G-Virus, something tells me that she knows a lot more than she's letting on," Natasha said. "Just think about it for a bit."

"...Alright fine," Leon said. "But I still trust her."

The two began exploring the top part of Umbrella's lab, passing through the Central Power Room. They opted to turn right, heading across the railing and through a door. Once on the other side, they spotted more locations to travel through.

"Where should we go?" Leon asked.

"Let's try here," Natasha said, heading through a door. Inside they found a large wreckage, several test tubes were destroyed with some deceased scientists laying around the room as their blood had stained the equipment.

"What happened in here!?" Leon shouted in disbelief. "What could have done this?"

"Wish I knew," Natasha said. "Actually, we're better off not knowing."

"Probably," Leon said, checking the room. Inside he spotted a submachine gun. "Hey, I think I spotted something you can use."

"Oh really?" Natasha said, picking it up. "Yeah, this could come in handy."

Leon also spotted a flamethrower, immediately picking it up. "At least we're well prepared. Lucky we came in here."

"Yeah, now we can...LEON, BEHIND YOU!" Natahsa shouted. Leon turned and saw a licker leaping at him but Natasha was quick to open fire with her submachine gun, taking the monster out.

"That was close," Leon said. Suddenly he heard some moans and saw the scientists standing up, having turned into zombies. "Watch out!" Leon quickly brought out his magnum and fired away, destroying the zombie. "Okay...not so lucky."

"Look next to you," Natasha said, gesturing to what looked like a case. "I think you can use those parts for your gun."

"So more lucky than unlucky," Leons said, checking the case. "This might come in handy. Mind if I take my handgun back?"

"Sure," Natasha said, handing it over. "Let's not stay though."

The two walked out the room and across to the other side of the Central Power Room. Leon had adjusted three of his guns. His handgun now fired three bullets automatically. His shotgun was bigger, had more fire power and held more rounds. His magnum had a silencer on it, and gave the gun better precision.

"Wish I had this earlier, but better late than never," Leon said. "Now come on, we need to find our friends."

"Right behind you," Natasha said.

The two saw the remains of some enemies in the area.

"Claire and Clint might have been through here," Leon said. "Come on, let's check right down this upcoming hallway."

The duo carefully maneuvered around, heading down a hallway and reaching a door at the end of a room.

Inside they could spot a pair of Ivy Plants, each one shitting some weird gas at the two, knocking them both back and leaving them gasping for air.

"Shit...what the hell...?" Natasha said, coughing a bit.

The plants got in closer, but fortunately Leon brought out his flamethrower and burned the creatures, leaving them charred as he tried catching his breath.

"My vision is a bit blurry," Leon said.

Natasha looked around and spotted a vase of sorts, "I see some blue herbs, get them, quick!"

Leon grabbed a couple and handed them to Natasha, the woman crushing them and putting her share in her mouth to eat. "Here."

Following suit, Leon ate what he was given as well, the two immediately feeling better, much to their relief. "That was close. Good thing you know about the herbs."

"You'd be amazed what could save your life," Natasha said. "That's why I try to carry some green herbs on me at all times as well."

"Might need more blue herbs," Leon said, picking some up. "These should come in handy, especially if there's more of these monsters."

Suddenly they heard some strange rumbling, both immediately looking around in worry.

"What was that?" Natasha asked.

"I have no idea," Leon said. "But I don't feel right not knowing. We should check it out."

"...You don't think it's William Birkin, do you?" Natasha asked.

"Even if it is, we need to make sure he won't be a problem for us or our friends," Leon said.

"Yeah...you're right," Natasha said. "Now's a good chance to put your upgraded wepaons to god use."

The two immediately made their leave, running back toward the elevator and heading down. They ran toward the power room, though on their way, a gunshot had gotten their attention. They turned around and spotted a familiar scientist.

"You killed my husband!" Annette said.

"Not this woman again," Natasha said. "Look ma'am, we're in a hurry."

"I know what you're up to, you want the G-Virus! But I won't let you have it! This is my husband's legacy!" Annete shouted.

"Great legacy, a virus that wipes out humanity," Natasha said. "What the hell would we want something like that for?"

"S.H.I.E.L.D.'s been after us for the longest time, ever since the incident at the Spencer Mansion," Annette said.

"Yes, the incident that got a lot of people killed," Natasha said. "Including the older brother of the woman that's been taking care of your daughter!"

"You leave Sherry out of this, don't think I forgot that she's in your grimy hands, probably want to bring her back to Nick Fury for interrogation," Annette said. "Or for someone else, after all, you have quite the interesting partner."

"Partner?" Leon asked.

"That spy you're working for," Annette said. "You know who I mean too."

"Are you talking about Ada?" Leon asked. "She's not a spy, she's just looking for her boyfriend."

Annette looked genuinely surprised by Leon's statement, "You really don't know, do you?" The woman chuckled a bit at Leon's expense, almost pitying him. "My, you are so guilible. And what of you Black Widow? Don't tell me you fell for her ruse too."

"Not quite, if I'm being honest, even I had my doubts about her," Natasha said. "It sounds like you know plenty yourself."

"The fact that I know more than you right now is quite funny and sad, but I suppose when someone fakes helplessness, you hero types fall for anything," Annette said. "That woman Ada is an operative sent here by the Agency, specifically to obtain the G-Virus."

"That can't be true! I know Ada! She wouldn't do something like that!" Leon said.

"I'm afraid it's true," Annette said. "I even did a background check on her, she specifically got close to John and became his girlfriend to get information on Umbrella."

"That can't be!" Leon said.

"Leon, it does add up," Natasha said. "You can't deny that this woman has been suspicious."

"No! I just can't believe she would do that!" Leon said.

"You poor boy, well I guess it doesn't matter, you're going to die here anyway," Annette said, aiming her gun.

Just as Natasha was about to pull out her own weapon, Mr. X came crashing through the ceiling. Annette immediately fled to the elevator while Leon and Natasha tried to follow. However the door was shut, leaving them trapped.

"You have got to be kidding me!" Leon shouted.

"Leon, behind you!" Natasha said, gesturing to the monster as she opened fire with her submachine gun.

Leon grabbed his Shotgun and opened fire, the force stunning Mr. X as the two outmaneuvered him and ran for it.

They immediately made their way to the other side of the door, quickly closing it, hoping that this would be enough.

Mr. X then however punched the door open, once again following the two. Both had run to the lift, taking it down. Just as they were about to run down one path, Mr X. jumped over and blocked it, promting them to run elsewhere.

"Up there!" Natasha said, she and Leon climbing on some boxes and heading up toward another door.

"That bastard just won't give up!" Leon said.

"He's persistent, that's for damn sure," Natasha said.

Once inside they could spot a giant console, both very curious by the site.

"What could this be?" Leon wondered.

"Probably connected to whatever we saw earlier, this thing must power the entirety of Umbrella's facility," Natasha said. "Anyway, let's try to focus, we need go-"

Mr. X emerged once again, trailing the two as the took a step back.

"Looks like we're gonna have to fight," Natasha said.

"Wait, maybe I can reason with it!" Leon suggested.

"Did you hit your head!?" Natasha said. "This monster cannot-"

Suddenly Natasha took a punch that knocked her back, the woman dropping her weapon.

"No!" Leon said, about to grab his shotgun.

Suddenly Mr. X got shot from behind, the monster turning around to see who attacked him.

"Ada!?" Leon said in disbelief.

"Run!" The woman said, opening fire as the monster approached her. He grabbed her by the neck, though this gave her a chance to shoot him point blank in the face, injuring him. He aggressively threw her against the console and fell off the rail into the iron smelting pool below.

"Ada!" Leon shouted, running to the injured woman, with Natasha limping over as well. "Ada, stay with me!"

"Leon, please..." Ada said. "Escape."

"No, we're a team," Leon said. "I can't just leave you behind!"

"Ada," Natasha said, kneeling beside the woman. "Why? Why would you put yourself in danger like this? You should have stayed back at the security room!"

"I know...I should have, but I was worried about you two," Ada said. "I wanted to do my part. For you two, for Claire and Hawkeye, and for Sherry."

"Just try to hang in there," Natasha said. "Otherwise you'll bleed out."

"It's too late for me," Ada said, this statement surprising Leon.

"No! Don't say that!" Leon said. "Don't ever say that!"

"I'm just a woman...who fell in love with you Leon," Ada said. She then moved in to bring Leon into a kiss, taking the cop by surprise, but not displeasure.

Natasha awkwardly stepped back opting to look away while the two maintained their passion. Eventually Ada had succumbed to her injuries, much to Leon's displeasure.

"Ada...No..." Leon said, tears beginning to form in his eyes, his heart clenched in agony. "ADAAAAAAAA!"

Despite Natasha's feelings, she couldn't help but feel sympathy for Leon. She could hear the pain in his voice. She understands that he wanted to save her, because he wants to be a hero. It's the main reason he became a cop after all. He wasn't blessed with a superpower like many in the world were, but that didn't stop him from trying.

Now he feels nothing but anger, mainly at himself, for failing to protect yet another person.

"Leon..." Natasha said, trying to get his attention.

"Why...why does this keep happening!?" Leon shouted, tears still streaming down his face. "First Marvin, then Ben, now Ada!? Why can't I protect anyone? Is it because I have no powers? Guess not everyone can be like Captain America, or Superman, or even All Might. I get that I couldn't achieve that, but I still thought as a cop, that I could still make a difference. Yet one by one, everyone keeps dying!"

"Leon!" Natasha said, trying to get Leon to snap out of it. "Listen, I know how this feels. I've lost people too. Despite my abilities, I can't save everyone, and many heroes will tell you that there are people they couldn't save. Whether it's Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk or Thor, I can tell you that they've experienced how you're feeling. That doesn't mean you give up, it means you keep trying."

"I just don't know if I can," Leon said, the man losing his will.

"Leon, you're trying to save people from a viral outbreak that even the most trained soldiers and police officers can't handle," Natasha said. "You can't expect total success. Sure, saving Marvin, Ben and Ada would have been nice but...you're only human. You can't put so much pressure on yourself."

"...Yeah, only human," Leon said.

"I didn't mean...ugh," Natasha was a bit in over her head herself, she wasn't too sure how to help Leon here. "Listen, we all share this responsibility. I couldn't protect those people either. I know I said what I did about Ada, but I still feel sympathy for her. She did save us from that monster after all. You were right that she wasn't a bad person."

"What good is being right, if she's still gone?" Leon asked.

"Will you snap out of it!?" Natasha shouted. "I'm sorry she's dead but this little adventure of ours isn't over yet! Remember, there's still one person you can save! Sherry! She's still alive and she can still be saved! But you need to not give up!"

Leon continued to think this over, though his train of thought was interrupted when the following message was heard over the loud speakers. "The self-destruct sequence has been activated, repeat the self-destruct sequence has been activated, this sequence may not be aborted, all employees proceed to the emergency car on the bottom platform!"

"Self-destruct!?" Natasha said, taking note of the console. "Probably because this thing got damaged! If we don't get out of here, we're screwed!"

"Yeah, we need to go," Leon said, gently laying the woman down. "I will always remember you, good-bye Ada."

Leon made his leave, Natasha was about to follow but she couldn't help but look down on Ada. She knelt beside her, trying to think of what to say, "I'm sorry, I should have been able to protect you. I don't know what you were up to, but if you could risk your life like that, then you too must have a hero's heart. It's probably minor but, it's there. Plus, compared to someone like Yelena, I think I can trust you a tiny bit more."

Wiping some dirt off of Ada's head in a moment of respect, Natasha decided to leave the woman here, letting her finally rest.

As she went through the doors, she could hear Leon speaking, likely into his radio, "It's fine...we can still save Sherry, I'm on it."

"Leon?" Natasha asked as Leon put the radio away. "Was that Claire and Clint?"

"Yeah, Claire said she's synthesizing a vaccine for Sherry," Leon said. "We just need to take her to the platforms below."

"Then let's hurry," Natasha said.

The two made their way back to the Elevator, as it went up, Natasha sent Leon away, "I think the way to the platform is from this computer, give me a second to hack it."

"Alright," Leon said, making his way into the security room. Once inside, he turned his attention to the still resting Sherry, scooping her into his arms. "Sherry, come on. Claire's waiting for us, we're finally going to leave."

"Okay..." Sherry said.

Leon brought the girl back in time for Natasha to finish hacking.

"And we're in," Natasha said. "Alright Leon, and we're off."

The elevator went down to an underground passage, Leon carrying Sherry toward a train with Natasha right beside him.

He laid her down on a bench, "Just rest here, Claire and Clint will be back soon."

Natasha went to check the controls, noting that they weren't on, "Great. We got to the train, but it won't move."

"There's probably a power switch somewhere, let's go," Leon said.

The two left the train, opting to hurry as neither wanted to leave Sherry alone too long. They made their way around, keeping an eye out for any sign of a generator.

As they went through a room, there was a rumbling sound, "Five minutes until detonation!"

"Shit...way to race against the clock," Leon said, checking on a monitor in the back of the room. "But it looks like we're in luck, this might power the train."

"Then let's hurry before-" Suddenly a thud was heard. The two spotted a very familiar looking monster.

Mr. X was no longer just a regular monster, he had fully evolved. The T-103 Tyrant was taller and had two long claws. He let out mighty roar, satisfied with his new form.

"Are you freaking KIDDING ME!?" Leon shouted as be pulled out his Magnum. "Why the hell won't you stay dead you son of a bitch!?"

He opened fire at the monster, to which he slid his claws on the ground, trying to attack Leon when Natasha pulled him out of the way.

"He means business this time!" Natasha said.

"Well so do I!" Leon shouted, grabbing his shotgun and firing. "I'm just about done with you! It's your fault she's dead!"

Leon kept going, knocking the creature back, but it would not stay undeterred as it went to attack the cop again, to which he rolled out the way and blasted again.

"DIE ALREADY!" Leon shouted, blasting the monster.

"Take this!" Natasha said, opening fire herself. "This should keep you the hell away from us, once and for all!"

Despite the damage he took, Mr. X was still ready to keep fighting as he tried attacking again, knocking Leon back with a whack from his claws, then kicked Natasha against a wall.

As Leon tried standing up, he heard a very familiar voice, "Here! Use this!"

"Ada?" Leon asked, then saw a Rocket Launcher nearby. Mr. X tried attacking him again but Leon rolled out the way, grabbing the rocket and aiming. "Game over." He fired it once, the rocket immediately destroying Mr. X once and for all.

Natasha took a breath of relief, glad that this monster was finally dealt with, "Nice shot."

"Thanks," Leon said, then remembered the situation, "We gotta hurry!"

The two had turned on the switch and returned to the train, Leon using his custom handgun to take down some newly appeared zombies.

"Natasha, quick, get the gate open!" Leon said. "I'll start the train!"

"Got it!" Natasha said, opening the gate to allow the train safe passage.

Once inside, Leon activated the train as it began to move. "Oh no! Claire!" Leon looked outside and saw that the girl along with Hawkeye were on their way over. "Claire! Clint! Hurry!"

Fortunately the two had made their way inside, successfully boarding the train. While the proceeding explosion did startle them, they all remained unharmed.

All that was left was for Claire to administer the vaccine, to which it was a rousing success. Sherry was all cured and they were finally on their way out of the city.

Claire still resolved to find her brother, but for now was happy that Sherry was safe, and Clint was happy to be leaving.

Leon stood at the front of the train as it headed out of the city, uttering only one thing. "Good-bye, Ada."

Natasha felt sympathetic, but had a feeling that Leon wasn't imagining things before, Ada may have really saved her life, that or her spirit came back for one last assistance. Unfortunately the train started rumbling again, much to their worry.

"Now what?" Natasha and Leon made their way out of the conductors room.

"What gives?" Clint asked. "The train started rumbling for some reason."

"Is it the aftermath of the explosion?" Claire theorized.

"I'm not sure. Something is definitely wrong though, you two stay here," Leon said. "Nat and I will check it out."

"Sure thing, boss," Clint jokingly said.

"We'll keep watch here," Claire reassured.

"Be careful," Sherry urged.

"We'll do our best, Sherry," Leon reassured as he and Natasha made their way out of the cart.

Once on the other side of the door, an alarm went off, locking them out.

"What's happening!?" Leon asked.

"I don't know, the door won't open!" Claire said.

This only provided more room for concern, this wouldn't happen without reason. They couldn't dawdle though, they had to figure this out.

The two made their way further down the cart, keeping their guns out and being ready for any sign of danger. Suddenly a long tentacle emerged from the top as a monster began to appear.

"You have got to be kidding, no way is he here," Natasha lamented.

'"He is...and he's not done yet!" Leon said.

Emerging was the fully mutated William Birkin, having transformed even more into a type of worm type creature as he got closer to the two.

"This guy just won't die!" Natasha shouted, firing at the monster with Leon doing the same.

"We're so close to Freedom! I am NOT letting this bastard ruin things now!" Leon said, firing as well with his shotgun.

Despite their attempts, their attacks didn't seem to do much as he pulled himself closer.

"We gotta run!" Natasha said, her and Leon quickly exiting the room, knocking on the door to the front car.

"Claire! Clint" Leon shouted, banging hard to get their attention. "Stop the train!"

"We can't, the door to the control room is locked!" Claire said.

"Seriously?" Natasha said, then noticed Birkin coming in closer. "Leon, we gotta move!"

"Where!?" Leon asked.

"Get creative!" Natasha said.

Inside Sherry looked concerned from the developing situation, "Claire? Clint? What's happening?"

"Sherry, stay back," Claire warned.

Suddenly the door was knocked open by Birkin, startling the trio.

"No freaking way! What the hell is going on!?" Clint shouted.

"Leon! Nat! Where'd you go!?" Claire asked.

Fortunately the two were on top of the train, though that didn't stop Birkin from pursuing either of them.

"Great," Leon lamented.

"Keep going," Natasha said.

Down below, Sherry was seen climbing through a vent, to Claire's confusion, "Sherry, what are you doing?"

"We have to stop the train right? I can do it!" Sherry said.

"Wow, taking initiative, good on her," Clint said.

"Focus, we're in a tight spot!" Claire said.

"Yeah, don't gotta tell me twice," Clint said, backing away from the monster.

"Come and get us then, we're right here!" Claire taunted.

"Tch, where'd that ego come from?" Clint asked.

"Better than showing fear," Claire said.

"Won't argue that," Clint said.

In the main room, Sherry was looking around, "Where's the right switch? Is it this one?"

"Sherry!" Leon called, getting her attention. "Push that emergency switch over there!"

"Got it!" Sherry said, doing as Leon asked, immediately bringing the train to an emergency stop.

Everyone was quick to get off, Leon checking on the girl, "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," Sherry said. "Wait, where are Claire and Clint?"

"Over here!" Clint said, running over with Claire. "Looks like we can finally leave."

"Yeah let's..." Leon saw that the monster was still coming.

"It just won't give up! Claire shouted in annoyance. "Come on! Let's go!"

As everyone began to run, Birkin continued to try and escape when the countdown to the self-destruction went off, completely destroying the train and finally killing the monster.

Outside, the heroes were finally relieved that their situation has come to an end. After a long night, they can say they're safely out of the city and away from the danger.

"It's finally over..." Claire said, the woman finally at peace. She turned her attention to the girl beside her. "Sherry, you're a mess."

"No worse than you, Claire," Sherry said.

"That was some pretty quick thinking kid," Clint said. "Crawling through that vent to stop the train."

"It was nothing, I saw someone do it on TV once," Sherry said.

"Ha, who says television isn't educational?" Clint joked.

"Come on, we have to go," Leon said, making his leave.

"Go? Where?" Claire asked. "Is something wrong?"

"Yeah, why the rush, we can afford a small break," Clint said.

"We don't have much time, it needs to be done after all," Leon said.

"What are you talking about?" Claire asked.

"Hey..." Leon turned to his team, a coy smirk etching onto his face. "It's up to us to take down Umbrella!"

Clint could help but start laughing, the archer turning his attention to his partner, "Natasha, call Fury. I think Leon has earned a spot on S.H.I.E.L.D."

The story is just about over, all that was left was the aftermath.
