Chapter 69: Madara Uchiha...?

As the explosion subsided, the area is filled with smoke and rubble.
FOOSH!
Naruto dashed forward, landing atop Yagura who was lying unconscious on the ground. His clothes were basically non-existent, and he looked like a cooked man rather than a healthy person. His skin was torn off from the tailed beast transformation and to add to that, his muscles were charred from the explosion, and bits of it were missing.
Naruto could only hope that he wasn't inhaling the fine particles of Yagura's flesh and blood, though inhaling smoke and ash wasn't any better.
As he landed, he narrowed his eyes as he held a sealing tag in his hand. If Yagura even twitched, Naruto will slap the sealing tag on his forehead.
As to what the sealing tag was?
It was a simple chakra restriction tag.
Yagura was already winded out, and his chakra was pretty much drained. If Naruto restricted his chakra on top of that, Yagura can only become a normal civilian.
"Damn. Was the explosion that bad?" Naruto wondered. He thought that since Yagura was the three tails' jinchuuriki, he could at least tank the Explosive Scrolls.
Furthermore, the three-tails was the meatiest out of the nine tailed-beasts.
"Well, I did wrap him in, like what, five Explosive Scrolls?"
If you forgot, one Explosive Scroll is equivalent to a hundred Explosive Tags, though it took less space than a hundred Explosive Tags thanks to Naruto's ingenuity in compressing the Sealing Formula.
Furthermore, he eliminated the chances of others copying the Sealing Formula as once the scroll is created, it will roll itself, and trying to open it will result in detonating it. Some Sealing Masters was an exception to this.
Unfortunately, both Orochimaru and Jiraiya couldn't safely copy the scroll as they specialized in other areas.
Then what about Ginko? How can they produce the scrolls without the risk of leaking the secret formula?
'Hmph. Try as they might, their only fate is death.'
Naruto separated the sealing formula into dozens of smaller pieces. Once combined, the resulting formula would automatically detonate. Unless they write it on a scroll that Naruto provided. Naruto's special scroll would automatically roll itself after the sabotaged formula was written and before the sabotaged formula can detonate, the scroll would change to the original Explosive Scroll.
That's how Naruto solved the issue.
'If anyone can still copy it, then congratulations to them,' Naruto shrugged as he glanced back at Yagura. Yagura remained in the same position, and not a single hair moved.
'I guess he's out cold. Well, it makes things easier,' Naruto smiled and took out a scroll.
The scroll was small in length, but it was unusually thick.
'Heh,' Naruto chuckled at a certain memory.
He created this scroll back when he was just a Fuinjutsu Senior. Back then, he was trying to come up with a way to seal away Kurama into another scroll. He came up with the idea of strengthening a single scroll by layering more scrolls on top of it.
As a result, the thick scroll he was holding was an accumulation of more than one-hundred seals.
He was about to use it on the fox when the fox reminded him that if he took him out of his body, he would die.
That was the moment he learned that a jinchuuriki dies when their bijuu is taken away.
"Yagura. No bad feelings, bad I'm not assured leaving a tailed beast inside a homicidal person," Naruto shook his head. He would've liked to invite Yagura to join his "sanctuary" project… if Yagura didn't kill everyone in sight.
"Hmm, the last part may be a little incorrect, but the point still stands. Yagura is too blood-thirsty," Naruto muttered to himself as he crouched. Then, he lifted Yagura's shirt and placed the opened scroll on top of his abdomen.
"Fuinjutsu: Tailed Beast Extraction!"
SHAAA!
"ARGHH!"
Suddenly, the sleeping beauty woke up in a startle and howled to the sky. Naruto furrowed his brows and pressed the scroll firmly to Yagura's abdomen as the latter tried to claw his hand off.
Red chakra surged out of Yagura and entered the scroll, and Yagura's struggle only intensified.
"URGGGRRRAA!"
Yagura screamed and screamed until he started vomiting blood and suffocating from his own flesh, yet he somehow kept screaming.
"What in the hell?!" Naruto frowned and Hinata did the same, though Naruto didn't see it as he was focused on keeping his hand pressed on top of Yaguyra's abdomen.
Yagura's nails were trimmed neatly, but as he clawed at Naruto's hand and arm, Naruto earned a multitude of cuts with varying deepness.
"GRAAA!"
"Is there something wrong with my fuinjutsu?" Naruto couldn't believe it.
As Yagura's pain intensified, he stopped clawing at Naruto and clutched his head, as if e was trying to behead himself. His spine arched into a perfect "C," and the three tails' chakra surged even more violently into the scroll.
Naruto wasn't oblivious to the pain Yagura was experiencing, and he doubted more and more that something was wrong.
It's just that he could pinpoint where he went wrong.
He may have created the Tailed Beast Extraction Seal when he was a mere Fuinjutsu Senior, but he kept working on it even after he became a Fuinjutsu Professor.
There should be nothing wrong with his seal, but nothing was perfect in life.
"But…" Naruto hesitated. He was a proud man, and he knew when to accept defeat. But knowing that he spent years refining his seal, he couldn't accept being wrong.
"GRRRR!"
As more blood bubbled out of Yagura's mouth, another chakra suddenly started to invade the scroll.
KRRK—KRR!
The unknown chakra was rejected by the scroll…
"No, it should be the three tails' chakra that rejected the foreign one. I didn't put any additional seal on the scroll. Its purpose is to simply extract the chakra of tailed beasts," Naruto concluded. He was a bit thankful. He didn't guard against foreign chakra as he never expected it.
If the three tails' chakra wasn't potent enough, then it may have been contaminated by some unknown chakra that came from god knows where.
"The question is, why is there another chakra in Yagura's body?"
'Naruto,' as Naruto was speculating, more of the foreign chakra was released from Yagura's body through the blood that he coughed up. As more and more of the foreign chakra was released, Yagura's rolled eyes suddenly regained their luster as Kurama chimed in.
'That foreign chakra feels familiar,' Kurama said. 'How so?'
'Do you remember how I was forced to rampage around the village?' Kurama asked and Naruto mentally nodded, watching as Yagura's screams stopped. Naruto was sure that he was still in pain from the way his body shook, but the latter was somehow keeping his calm as he looked at him.
"You… are?" Yagura struggled to speak.
'The chakra that controlled me is the same chakra just now,' Kurama said and Naruto's heart dropped. He also lifted the scroll he was pressing down on Yagura's body.
'Do you mean…' Naruto's mind paused as he thought of a ridiculous, yet horrifying theory. At the same time, Yagura stopped twitching, and his body plopped to the floor. He started panting, though he was still alive as not all of the three tails were extracted from his body.
'Yes,' Kurama said and went silent.
'Madara Uchiha… was controlling Yagura?'
Naruto finished his unsung words.
"Who are you? And… how did you free me?" Yagura asked, sweat raining down from his forehead after the pain he just went through. At the same time, he began to recall his memories from when he was still being controlled.
