Arc: The Uzumaki Clan

"Finally, I can properly train. It's been a while since I've sat down and focused my mind on training," Naruto mumbled.
As he approached the very end of the shore, he stomped on the ground.
SHHH…
A handful of sand jumped up as if Gaara had manipulated it, but Gaara wasn't there.
'My chakra control is… sigh.'
What he did was overload each grain of sand with chakra and as the overloaded grains of sand were about to burst with chakra, Naruto focused all the chakra toward the bottom, making them jump up.
'In my peak... well, before I merged with Kurama's chakra, I can wake a mini sand wall in front of me,' Naruto lamented. Now, barely any sand "floated" in front of him.
'I guess that's why we train and perfect our craft,' Naruto shrugged. 'Firstly, I want to perfect my Lightning Guardian and Water Hydra Guardian. I have an idea for the Lightning Guardian, but the Water Hydra Guardian…'
Naruto rubbed his chin in thought. 'Maybe I'll ask Yagura about it… or I can ask the three tails,' Naruto thought.
"Let's start with the Lightning Guardian, then."
Naruto unrolled a scroll containing the Lightning Guardian's formula. He looked through the formula for a few minutes before noticing something that brought a frown to his face. 'That shouldn't be there,' Naruto thought as he hovered his hand over a spot in the scroll.
After ensuring his hand was in the right place, Naruto channeled chakra into his hand and tried to modify the formula when suddenly…
BANG! FWOOO!
". . ."
Naruto watched speechlessly as flames devoured his scroll. His mind was blank as the scroll turned to dust.
SWOOOSH…
When a gust of wind brought the dust to his face, Naruto regained his spirit. In an instant, his brows touched in anger as he tried to cool the flames inside his mind.
"THAT WAS MY ONLY COPY!" Naruto yelled out before snapping his head in a certain direction. Seeing that the five children didn't hear him, he sighed in relief. 'Fuck. That was my only copy of the Lightning Guardian!'
Naruto stared into the air for a few moments before he reacted. FWISH—taking out a scroll, Naruto scribbled madly that the scroll nearly caught on fire.
Two hours later…
"Phew," Naruto wiped off the sweat on his forehead as he scanned the brand-new seal formula in front of him. It was made only with ink so that it wouldn't activate. 'It's missing a few details that I can't remember, but at least the general blueprint is there,' Naruto thought as he rolled the scroll.
"Let's forget about fuinjutsu for now," Naruto nodded, "I need to train my chakra control first."
Waking up, Naruto sported a mighty frown. Standing next to his clone, who had a bright smile while standing with the five Uzumaki children, they looked like yin and yang.
'Damned clone,' Naruto cursed while giving the clone a side-eye.
When Naruto was training his chakra control, he created a few clones to speed up the process but never dispelled the clone watching over the kids. When the training clones were dispelled, Naruto received their fatigue like a boulder falling from the skies.
'After so much effort, my chakra control is still horrendous,' Naruto thought as he stomped on the ground.
SHHH!
In a flash, a head-sized "wall" rose in front of him for a few seconds before falling back to the ground. Naruto shook his head and raised his hand. 'I guess the good thing from all of this is that I now have stable chakra control.'
VZZ…
A tranquil blue film covered Naruto's hand after he pushed chakra out of the chakra points in his hand. After his chakra mixed with Kurama's chakra, he could do the same thing as now.
'Only, it's unstable,' Naruto chuckled bitterly. 'I should be able to use my chakra chains while using Kurama's chakra if I gain better chakra control, but that's for another day,' Naruto looked up to watch the calm ocean.
'Seal barrier… it's my first time developing one,' Naruto thought. So far, the fuinjutsu that he made and knew were stacked genjutsu, a.k.a. spamming genjutsu, and his guardian seal series. 'I wonder if I can combine the two into one and incorporate it into the barrier.'
Naruto didn't dally and tapped his waist. The storage scroll in his waist remained unresponsive and Naruto's good mood turned unpleasant once more. 'I forgot that I have no more supplies!'
"You know what to do," Naruto said to "Yukito."
After panicking for a good moment, Naruto's brain began to function properly as he recalled his giant company.
Ginko.
After creating a clone and transforming it into Yukito, his second… err, third identity, he loaded the clone with seals to keep it from dispelling even after taking damage. The only way for the clone to dispel is to "kill" it like how you would a normal man, or to make the clone dispel itself.
Of course, Naruto can forcefully do both should something weird happen.
"Yukito" nodded and took off, leaving behind a bored Naruto. 'Damn it, what to do?' Naruto pondered when the answer came to him. "Right. Chakra control. Damned, plain, grueling chakra control."
A few days passed since Naruto sent "Yukito" back to the mainland and currently, Naruto was standing in front of Zabuza and Haku. The duo reported what they found and bid goodbye to Naruto. Both of them were in need of some rest.
'With Zabuza and Haku's report, I can be assured that we won't be lacking food,' Naruto thought, 'and that the forest is not dead. This is great. I thought that after the chakra beasts' extinction, there won't be any more animals on the island.'
As he was thinking, Naruto suddenly recalled his lazy friend. "Hey, Karasu."
SZZZ—FLAP! FLAP! CAW!
"What is it?" Karasu asked after being called out. Meanwhile, Naruto was staring at Karasu with a weird look. 'This guy… I forgot that he comes out of my back. Now I have torn clothes… God damned it, why am I forgetting so many things today? I'm still young.'
Naruto shook his head. "Aren't you bored?"
"Not really. I enjoy sleeping. When I'm not dozing off, I can watch the world through you," Karasu replied. "You're pretty lazy, aren't you?" Naruto smirked.
Karasu merely "shrugged." "I get that a lot when I was still human," the giant crow said. Naruto was about to say something else when Karasu beat him to the punch.
"Something feels off about you," Karasu said.
"Oh?" Naruto raised his brow.
"Your chakra feels… oddly malevolent," the crow said.
". . . What?" Naruto replied, his mind blanking at the sudden statement.
"Your chakra felt cold and empty before, but in a good way… I suppose," Karasu nodded his head, "But now, there's a tinge of malice in your chakra," he finished.
"Really?" Naruto asked back. 'Kurama, what's this?' Naruto asked.
'Hmph. Naruto, if you think that decades of hate will vanish like a puff of smoke, then you are wrong,' Kurama chuckled inside the mindscape. 'While I no longer seek destruction, my anger for humans still remains. It may fade eventually, but not in an instant.'
Hearing Kurama's words, Naruto went silent. "Well… thank you, Karasu. You can go back to sleep now," Naruto said as he took off his shirt to let the bird inside. Karasu tilted his head in confusion before going back into the seal.
'And Kurama. I promise that before I die, I'll bring peace to the hatred in your heart.'
Kurama smirked. 'I look forward to how you'll do that,' he said.
