Victor John Foxfire: So Elias wasn't trying to cause problems for the kingdom, but he remembered the expressed orders of " no unnecessary killing". There is also the question of regicide( The killing of a king). That was something I wanted to foil, showing Saxon ideas vs Mobian ideas. For the Saxons, might makes right, and so regicide is no different than regular killing. The mobians, however, are more reserved, similar to how the Spanish treater their conquistador Pizarro after he executed the Incan king.

The trial was a real trial and question for how they were going to hand the nature of regicide. After all, if Johan got away with killing this king, then what's to stop someone else from killing the next mobian royal family? But Max, He saw Johan as doing him a favor. Nagus was the only Non-Acorn with a claim for the throne( to my knowledge, I might be wrong). Johan took the nobility's bargaining power. Of course, other things are going on with Max as well… and he might not necessarily know about the favors that are made in the dark for his benefit.

Max will have some… interesting thoughts in the future. I definitely broke Max's character because I honestly hate the "angry, bitter father who makes everyone miserable " trope. I hate that that was his fate in pre-reboot archie.

MerendinoEmilano: I'm glad you had fun. I had fun writing that chapter.

Sonic slumped down in his bed. It was only… midday. Sonic groaned and climbed out of bed as Christina walked by, "My lord-a, I've-a brought some food-a for you and-a the lady."

Sonic saw some food in her hands. There were some small sandwich wedges. Sonic was more tired than hungry, but he still took a couple wedges, and zipped out of the house. He felt kind of bad that he didn't say 'Thank you'.

No matter, he'd tell her when he got back.

Sonic zipped inside FreedomHQ, and saw Sally. She was… a little larger than usual. Sonic saw that she sitting at a desk, seeming to look over reports.

Sonic approached her carefully, and held out a handful of tiny sandwiches. Sally immediately lunged at his hands, "You are a life saver!" She scarfed down the tiny morsels.

"Well, I try." Sonic smiled, again looking at her larger belly. Maybe her chest was a little larger too, Sonic wasn't sure.

Sally looked at him, and scowled, "What?" another mood swing?

Sonic smiled weakly, "Well, Doctor Quack said we should go and see if him I notice any… weight gain." Sonic muttered that last bit in a small voice.

Sally's face flashed outrage, then… pain, then a bit of dread, "Yes… He did say that. I don't suppose you have the energy to run me back to the city?"

"Me, I always have energy." Sonic grinned, still a little exhausted. He scooped her up, and they zipped towards the city.

Sonic felt her breath against his neck. Her heart was beating so fast, but something about her was… scared. She wasn't excited in his arms.

When they stopped, Sonic set her down and smiled, "It'll be alright Sal. He said it's usually not fatal."

Sally gave Sonic a weak smile, and nodded, "I know, I'm just a little cautious."

The city was in surprisingly good shape all things considered. Windows were shot out and a few gates needed to be repaired, but all in all, most businesses were fine to run.

Sonic walked in and got Sally scheduled for an appointment. Apparently, the hospital was tending to wounded soldiers, but eventually, Sally did get in her appointment.

Sonic stood up when her name was called, but Sally shook her head, "Hey, can I do this alone? I'm a little embarrassed about this."

Sonic blinked, but nodded slowly, "I-I guess, Sal."

She leaned in and kissed him, rubbing her head against the side of his, "Thank you." Sally went into the room, moving slower and more cautiously.

Sonic frowned, and walked outside, both to clear his head, and to find something to do while he waited.

Sonic wasn't exactly hungry, but he wasn't full either. He settled on picking up some chilidogs at his almost-favorite little chilidog stand.

Sonic sat down at the one of the public tables to dig in.

"Greetings, Lord Sonic, I see that you are well." Sonic heard the surprised, feminine voice speak to him.

Sonic looked up and saw Rosemary Prower, standing where Nagus once stood to gloat about the fall of the republic. She wore her republican uniform.

"Oh, hey… Rosemary." Sonic smiled. He thought they were on good terms, but her face was hard to read, "How have you been?"

She then smiled softly at him and sighed, "I am… fair. Better than most. I was recently elected to the King's council."

Sonic blinked, "What? Is the republic back? Did Max really do it?"

Rosemary sighed, but still put up a happy face, "No… I'm afraid there isn't much I can do to help people. I can only advise, I can not make demands or force changes. Still… I suppose it is progress."

Sonic nodded slowly, before asking, "So… how are we?"

Rosemary raised an eyebrow, "We are fine, are we not?"

"I mean, we've been enemies and friends depending on the situation, are we cool?" Sonic asked nervously, really not hoping for a new enemy on the stage after an old one… disappeared.

"We are fine. I know you did what you thought was right, and I did what I thought was right. I don't see any reason for us to be enemies." Rosemary smiled with a light bow.

Sonic breathed a sigh of relief, "Thank goodness, you have no idea how exhausting everything had been."

"I think I know more than you think. Still, I do have some hope for stability in this kingdom." Rosemary smiled, looking up at the tree next to the table, "It seems many of our citizens also agree."

Sonic blinked, "Did the old republic get elected? I guess if people liked you, they'd probably like the others."

"Most of us were re-elected into the new position… Hamlin, however, seems to have disappeared. No one has seen him since the siege of the capitol." Rosemary sighed, before frowning, "I hope nothing terrible has happened to him."

Sonic nodded slowly. They did not see eye to eye, but that was probably the biggest difference between Sonic and Hamlin. He wasn't a bad guy. Just different, not bad. "Yeah, I'm sure he's alright." Sonic tried to sound reassuring.

Rosemary nodded slowly, "Yes, he must be concerned about possible backlash from the nobility or royal family. I will try to reach out to him. Maybe I can find him." Sonic caught the undertone of "Before someone digs him up from the city as someone in the wrong place and time".

Rosemary then sighed, "I must get back to his majesty, and perhaps bring about some positive change for the better." Sonic heard a rumbling from her belly.

Sonic nodded, "Oh… Uh, chilidog?" Sonic offered, raising up one of the dogs.

She smiled, "Thank you, lord Sonic. " Rosemary took one, and began to walk off towards the palace. It was least nice that she had a place in the world.

Sonic finished his food, before walking along the main road. When Sonic got to the bridge, he saw the pikes being lowered. The noble carcasses being removed, partially eaten by birds and stinking beyond any reasonable amount.

Sonic avoided the bodies as best he could. He tried to tell the nobles to surrender, that it was better than to keep fighting. Instead, they insisted that they would continue fighting unless they were pardoned. The pardon never came.

Sonic shook his head and turned around. He didn't know why he went there. Perhaps Sonic wanted to pay some form of respects to the nobles, even if they were stupid?

He ran back to the hospital, and waited for Sally's results. Sonic realized how much he hated waiting when he was worried about her.

Sonic walked back and forth as time passed. What was taking so long? Was Sally worse? Better?

"Sonic? Sonic?" The clerk at the front desk called out, pretending to look around as it was pretty hard to miss a blue hedgehog. Still, he humored her, if only to speed up the process.

"Yes?" Sonic asked, feeling very nervous.

"You may enter the room." She smiled at him.

Sonic zipped down the hall and burst into the room with Sally still laying down in her seat, jumping up with Doctor Quack as the door slammed shut.

"Sally, are you ok?" Sonic asked frantically, panting with a sense of dread from how long the check up took.

"Sonic-" Sally whispered in a clearly annoyed voice.

Doctor Quack smiled, and held up his hands, "Her situation is fine. The infection has developed nicely. Better than normal depending on your standard." His smile then disappeared, replaced with a disturbed look. He turned to Sally, and the two exchanged glances.

She looked at him expectantly, like he knew something was supposed to go on.

"Alright, What's up her." Sonic asked, his anxious feelings returning.

Doctor Quack looked at Sally hesitantly, before sighing, "Well, she gradually becoming physically vulnerable. You may notice a slowing in her motor functions. I have to give my professional opinion once again, and stress that now, more than ever, she should not be strained."

He turned to Sally, who looked clearly annoyed "I would recommend that she take medical time off. Princess Acorn… wow, I'm glad I can call you that once again, I can not stress how important it is that you listen to me. You will be-"

Sally cleared her throat, "I understand, and I thank you for your valued advice. I will consider the decision carefully. Sonic let's go." She was annoyed and frustrated. Sonic hoped she would be fine, but he wasn't sure.

Doctor Quack sighed, "Very well. I guess I can't stop you. Please check out at the front desk."

Sonic looked at Sally, who climbed out of the chair. Sonic zipped over and picked her up, "Can't have you- You're belly's wet?" Sonic frowned as his gloved fingers could feel the cold, wet substance on them.

"Oh… There was a spill." Sally mumbled quickly. She was lying, and still not telling Sonic the truth. She'd tell him when she was ready… hopefully.

Sonic looked at Doctor Quack, who nodded. He wasn't going to tell Sonic anything.

They checked out at the front desk, and Sonic zipped Sally back to FreedomHQ. He set her down in the mess hall, but she got up and walked to the hallway. Sonic sat down and sighed, "Please tell me what's going on."

Sally stopped her movement, and turned around, "What do you-"

"I'm not stupid. You aren't telling me something, and I feel like you're going to get hurt if you don't start being honest with me. Whatever it is, I'll be here, so just tell me what's going on-"

"- I know, but he's been in a mood. I need to find the right time to approach him." Elias's voice groaned as he walked into the mess hall, with Frederick of all people in tow.

"We had a deal. My sister risked her life for your throne." Frederick whined, "I expect you to uphold your end of our deal."

"I know, but if dad isn't in the right mood, he could shoot the idea down until the day he dies. I have to be careful. The nobles keeping up their rebellion didn't help." Elias sighed, frustrated, "It's not easy to get him in the right frame of mind. Bear with me."

Frederick deflated somewhat, but nodded, "Very well. I understand." He mumbled sadly, "I will leave you to your work."

Sally and Sonic looked at Elias as Frederick walked out slowly, his shoulders slouching.

"What was that about?" Sonic asked, not liking that his friend was hurting.

"It's Fiona's pardon. Dad is already moody about traitors, so if I ask for a pardon at the wrong time, I know he'll shoot it down. Frederick seems to think I can just write a pardon and call it there. We need Dad's support." Elias groaned as if it was a petty request.

Sonic looked at Sally. There was technically a time where she could have signed off on Fiona's pardon, but so much was going on at the time, he wouldn't hold it against her.

"So… what happened with you?" Elias asked looking at Sally.

"I went in and the doctor said everything was… good." She mumbled with a smile.

Elias nodded with a forced smile, "That's… good."

"She needs to take a break." Sonic stated firmly, "Doctor Quack said she was going to be in danger if she went out and fought. I think she needs some time off."

Elias nodded, "Oh I completely agree. You both should take some time off, get some rest and spend some time just… talking to each other." He seemed to look at Sally expectantly.

"I won't leave the Freedom Fighters in incapable hands." She grumbled, staring down her brother.

Elias frowned but nodded. Suddenly, the speakers throughout the base lit up, with Nicole calling out, "ALERT, THE DEATH EGG HAS BEEN SPOTTED! I REPEAT, THE DEATH EGG HAS BEEN SPOTTED!"

Sonic jumped up and grabbed Sally, "Please, sit this one out." He asked, desperate.

"No. My people need me." Sally growled at him as they zipped into the command room.

Sonic growled, frustrated much more than he thought he would be, "Darn it, Sal, take a break! The Doctor's orders-"

"I'VE HEARD ENOUGH!" Sally barked at him, "We don't have time to get a new leader up to speed! I'm going. Tell us what's going on, Nicole." Sally commanded.

Nicole paused for a moment, before saying, "The Death Egg was detected within the mountain ranges to the south east of the kingdom. Multiple Egg Carriers have been spotted on a trajectory towards new Mobotropolis. E.T.A. seven days, six hours."

Sally scowled, and walked back and forth, "Sonic." Sally started, looking at Sonic.

Sonic got ready to run out and teach Eggman another nice lesson. Tails already put on his aviator's cap. "I'm ready, Sal!"

"I need the Wolverine to be ready, can you get him here, I'm going to mobilize the army." Sally commanded, standing up and turning to Elias.

Sonic got ready to bolt out the door, when he had to stop and clarify what he just heard, "You want… Johan back? After everything that's happened?"

Sally sighed, "He's a mercenary, we are using what we paid for." Sonic heard the tone that told him do as he was told. Sonic sighed, and zipped out of the door, past Antoine and Bunnie.

He ran around to the training fields, where Sonic saw a crowd gathered. As he approached, Sonic saw a blue bear standing before the Wolverine. Sonic saw what looked like cannons sitting out in the field, with several boxes of ammo, and craters in the field.

Sonic walked through the crowd as Johan stood, with a sheep behind him. She seemed angry and tense as the crowd seemed nervous. Johan shoved the sheep forward, "You have been wronged by this man, Olivar! He has defiled you and left you with a child. This action demands justice, does it not?" Johan bellowed, and the soldiers shifted uneasily.

"I thought you said- a kid? She had a…" Sonic saw the bear's face contort to something of shock. Was this the first time he heard about the so called child? Sonic couldn't imagine hearing about having a kid and not knowing.

Johan growled, "I have given this man a chance at redemption, that he should be clean in the eyes of the world and God. He is not forgiven by those he has wronged. As such justice is in her hands."

Johan then nodded to his white fox friend, who pulled out a revolver and handed it to the sheep, who looked genuinely terrified. Sonic moved in and shouted, "Hey, what are you doing?"

"Justice." Johan simply growled as he shoved the lamb forward at the bear.

"A kid…." He mumbled, shaking on his knees.

"You can't do this!" Sonic shouted, getting in between the sheep, who looked grateful and relieved when Sonic steeped between them.

"I can not?" Johan growled, suddenly getting very agitated. Sonic had to be careful. He slowed down, and got ready for a fight.

"No! People face justice in court!" Sonic shouted, only to hear a loud murmur of disproval.

"You mean the same court that locked me up for avenging my sister." The white fox shouted, balling his fist.

Sonic gulped. He didn't have words for that.

Johan shouted, "Enough! Proceed." He glared down at the sheep, and pushed Sonic out of the way.

"My… kid." The bear mumbled again, getting a small smile on his face. Then he seemed to remember that he was about to be executed, and shot his head up , "Is it a boy or girl?"

"A boy, young and vibrant." Johan growled as the sheep raised the gun.

She looked hesitant, "I… have to shoot him?" She mumbled, looking angry, nervous and sad.

Johan growled, "His fate is yours to decide." He was firm and very vague.

Sonic stepped up, "WAIT! You shouldn't kill him- I mean… what he did was terrible… but…" Sonic didn't know how to answer that.

The sheep closed her eyes, and raised the revolver. She then sighed, "You save my life… so I won't kill you, but stay away from me and my son!"

Sonic breathed a sigh of relief as Johan growled softly, "So be it."

"But… he's my son-" The bear whined.

"STAY AWAY FROM US!" She shouted, firing the pistol into the air, before shrinking down suddenly.

"Very well, Garden Defender, why are you here?" Johan growled as the men dispersed.

Sonic caught his breath from the stressful fake-trial, "Listen, Sally needs you back at the base. We've spotted the Death Egg and a bunch of Egg Carriers."

"Death… Egg?" Johan growled, sounding slightly confused.

"The big circle fortress that the desert people showed you." Sonic quickly explained, "It has a lot of weapons, and it's very important we don't let it get to-"

"I see, I should have remembered such a weapon. No matter, where will we strike?" Johan growled lightly, raising his head in a very expectant way.

Sonic frowned, "She wants you to return to FreedomHQ. That's all she said." Sonic knew why, but he really didn't feel like inviting that monster there.

"No matter, I will attend her meeting to discuss our tactics. I will need time to prepare for battle, this would be good to discuss." Johan grumbled in a pleased tone.

"You'll be late?" Sonic asked, curiously as they walked back.

"I have allowed some of my weapons to sit idly for too long. What better testing ground for my flying fortress than a large, impressive foe." Johan smiled, before seeming to think, "I do have weapons for your army."

Sonic blinked, a couple times. Part of him dreaded working with the monster. Sonic found Johan to be… upsetting to him. The other part of him… respected Johan. He was honest and hardworking; Sonic found that hard to hate.

As they arrived back at FreedomHQ, Sonic zipped into the Command Center, and found it empty. He frowned as he looked around. Sonic walked further into the room, before noticing the interrogation room open.

Sonic walked closer, and heard Elias's voice, "Two? That's… amazing." He sounded both happy and confused.

Sally's voice sounded miserable, "How do I tell him? What will happen to us if I do?"

"You can't hide it for much longer. He needs to know, or this could get a lot worse." Elias sounded frustrated, but also sad.

"I suppose you're right." Sally sighed, and Sonic heard the sound of the chair squeaking as it was pushed back. The door opened, and Sally look straight into Sonic's eyes., "H-How much of that did you hear?"

Sonic blinked, "I…-" what was he supposed to say? He didn't want to stress Sally out, but at the same time, he knew she wasn't telling him the full truth.

"I will tell you… everything, once Eggman is stopped." Sally sighed, wincing as if she was in pain.

Sonic nodded silently.

Sally gulped with a silence between them. She then sighed, "Can you go and deliver some rallying messages to mobilize our forces?"

Sonic nodded, and Sally gestured to letters on her desk. Sonic then zipped out, passing Johan, who seemed to sniff the air, and cock his head slightly. Sonic had a feeling Johan could tell him what was going on.

/*-*/

Fiona felt the army gather at Mountain Pass 422. The ravine made a great area to set up the large anti-air cannons and the artillery guns. They didn't dare climb to the top of the mountains, as they stretched up well above the clouds.

Fiona realized why Sally would choose this area. The large mountains basically made it difficult to fit more than one or two Egg Carriers at a time. This was a great spot to limit the encroaching enemies.

She turned and looked at the various mobians who had come to fight off Eggman. They all came as fast as they could. The nobles sat back, appearing to discuss tactics or something.

Fiona saw the Tornado on a steppe, with Sonic, Sally and Tails all watching. The plan was simple. They would board the Death Egg, and the army would handle the coming carriers. Fiona still had to be on guard for the attack, though. She just had to ignore the rather handsome hedgehog.

Was he working out? Or maybe he wasn't eating well? He gave her a way. Fiona quickly looked… anywhere else.

She watched the sky as the sheep called out, "CAREFUL! We have three-hundred twenty-seven shells ready, we don't need a detonation!"

Fiona turned and saw a fox and a goat carrying a large wooden box of artillery ammo. It was probably for the best that they didn't drop that. Fiona nodded slowly as the call went out, "EGG CARRIER SPOTTED!"

Fiona quickly dove into a trench and raised her rifle over the dirt. She saw two Egg Carriers pushing through splits in the mountain range, and following them was the sphere that Mobius dreaded: The Death Egg.

Fiona felt a wave of fear wash over the army as the two carriers pushed up.

Sally shouted from the hill top, "BREACH GUNS, READY!"

Fiona saw the wheels being aggressively turned as the guns rose to aim at the flying fortresses. Fiona waited carefully, feeling the ammo in her breast pouch.

The Egg Carriers slowed down as the guns remained steady. Fiona didn't see a lot to do so far. Still, she got ready.

A loud speaker shot up over the field, "SO, HEDGEHOG, I SEE YOU AND YOUR BAND OF RODENTS HAVE GATHERED ALL IN ONE PLACE. I SUPPOSE YOU ARE HERE TO SURRENDER!"

Sally shouted clearly, and angrily, "We will do no such thing! If you continue your advance into the kingdom, then we will respond with equal aggression."

Eggman seemed to laugh once again, "HOHOHO, FOOLISH LITTLE GIRL, YOU'LL KNEEL IN TIME. DEPLOY THE BADNIKS!"

The Egg Carriers opened their bottoms, and several Swatbots descended down, along with some larger badniks that resembled a cross between Swatbots and Metal Sonic. Fiona wasn't sure what to call these new ones, but they were certainly bigger, and had more armor. They also seemed to possess shields and large laser pistols.

"What do you have there, Princess?" Eggman's voice sounded so cocky even through the microphone.

Fiona looked up at the distant steppe, and saw Sally look a little hesitant. The artillery crews immediately began to scramble their guns into position as the sheep began to bark orders.

Strangely enough, Fiona found herself wondering where the Wolverine was. If they ever needed him, now was the time.

"EGG ARMIES, ATTACK!" Eggman's voice shouted through the intercom. Did he not see their weapons, did he not care? Fiona got lower into her frontline trench. Of course she would be placed in the cannon fodder spot.

"HOLD!" Shouted the sheep as the artillery crews got nervous.

Fiona readied her rifle, and began to fire down at the large Badniks which shielded the Swatbot's approach. She kept pulling the bolt back and slamming it in, making sure to aim her shots as the badniks got closer to the trenches. Sparks told Fiona that she was hitting them, but not making any real damage.

"FIRE!" The sheep shouted as the Badniks made their way into the field. Fiona heard her ears deafen as the world seemed to ignite, with the artillery guns firing. "RELOAD!" The sheep ran down to help the loaders with the ammo.

Fiona turned and saw the badnik squares explode as the shells struck all around. The large Badniks seems to be knocked down, and didn't seem to have an easy way to get back up. Like Eggman was only expecting to deal with rifles.

"WHAT? DESTROY THOSE WEAPONS!" Eggman shouted. Fiona jerked up and saw the Egg Carriers get closer, and their missile pods open up. She braced… as the sound of a biplane engine graced her ears. Sonic and Sally had taken off.

Eggman wasn't too happy about the sight, "NEW PLAN, SHOOT DOWN THAT FOX!"

Fiona raised her rifle and began to fire into the next square of Swatbots as they approached. They weren't as heavily armored, which helped Fiona out.

Unfortunately, they did have lasers, which they used. Fiona ducked into her trench as the dirt behind her caked under the heat. Reminder: she did not want to get hit.

Fiona raised herself up and fired again as the large anti-air guns fired up at the Egg Carriers. She stayed focused on trying to destroy the badniks that were on ground level. The next wave dropped down from the Egg carriers as more solid shots flew up to hit the large ships.

Fiona heard the clicking sound of her rifle, and set to work reloading as more Badniks made their way on the field. Were the big guns even doing anything?

"FINE, PREPARE THE CITY ROBOTICIZER, I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THESE ANIMALS!" Eggman shouted.

Fiona wasn't sure if that was an answer or not.

Fiona's question stopped as the speakers shouted, "WHAT IS THAT? WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY EGG CARRIER?" She felt a shadow pass overhead. In fact, the shadow seemed to cover the entire trench line.

She dared to look up. The egg carrier seemed to block out the sun, but instead of the typical front found on most Egg Carriers, a large flat end. A massive barrel, that housed shells larger than three Fionas stacked on top of each other.

The ship didn't seem to do anything other than fly forward.

"SHIELDS UP, SHIELDS UP!" Eggman shouted as Fiona was blown to the ground as the ship fired directly over her.

/*-*/

Johan sat in the command chair as they approached the battlefield designated by the Warrior Queen he had chosen. Why she would give up a role that she needed to fill was a mystery to Johan. One that made him angry.

He would have plenty of victim's of his anger as they neared the mountain range, where Ezra pointed out, "It seems like the fighting has already started, perhaps they don't need us." Did Johan hear fear in her voice?

"Why are you cowering now?" Johan growled, feeling his anger rise once again.

"I'm… concerned. Our engineers have warned us about firing the main cannon. Eight hundred millimeters is… ridiculous." Ezra mumbled in a fearful voice.

Johan growled, "It will destroy anything that gets in our way."

The engineer she spoke of stepped forward, "I don't think the ship can take it. The recoil alone might split us in half." He was also terrified, the coward.

Johan growled, "The weapon will destroy our enemies. They cannot hide."

Ezra gave Johan a worried look that he was perhaps mad. The gun would tear apart any machine. They would endure. Johan had ordered the ship to be re-enforced anyway.

Suddenly the ship's screen began to light up with strange messages, "EC-412, YOUR STATUS IS CLEARLY 'LOST IN BATTLE', IDENTIFY YOURSELF NOW!"

Johan turned to Ezra. She shifted, "We still have the old Egg Carrier signal. They know this ship isn't supposed to be active."

Johan growled, "Tell them-" as he spoke, she hit a button and the screen cleared up to show a strange red Garden Defender sitting in a chair. He seemed to be rather small, and nothing Johan would consider a threat.

Johan understood, "We are the…" Johan did need to give the ship a fitting name, "… Konig's Faust. I apologize for my late arrival. You will die soon."

Johan turned to Ezra, and she pressed a button, causing the screen to return to normal as they flew over the battlefield.

"We are… within range." Ezra shouted, terror in her voice still being present.

"WHAT IS THAT? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY EGG CARRIER?" Came a loud shout from a giant ball of steel in the sky.

Johan knew the "Death Egg" was supposed to be large and intimidating, but this still was… ridiculous. That was the word. It seemed massive, but Johan did not see any large cannons or powerful weapons, as if it was not built to fight anything close to its own size. Johan would prove that to be a foolish error.

"Fire." Johan growled to the engineer.

"SHIELDS UP! SHIELDS UP!"

He paused hesitantly as they got closer. He looked at Johan, and closed his eyes. Johan's crew seemed to brace as the engineer pressed the red button. The entire ship jerked, causing Johan to clench up as the shell left the massive barrel.

Johan saw several screens go black and have red letters on them. He didn't care, as he could still see the front of the ship, and the enemy fleet.

The shell slammed against as invisible barrier, which was supposed to protect the Death Egg. Instead, the shell, being a large high-explosive shell, created a shock wave that struck the two vanguard carriers, ripping their inner wings off, causing then to turn into each other. The two ships collided and began to fall to the ground with several of the crew jumping hopelessly to save themselves.

"Hull integrity down!"

"I'VE GOT A LOT OF ALERTS!"

"We've lost engines one and seven!"

Johan paused as they looked at him, terrified. They were still flying. He looked up to see what had happened to the large ball of steel in the sky.

The nose had been dented, and there was a clear crack in the hull of the ship. The machine could be destroyed.

Johan gave the order, "Get me close! I will board them, and drive them from the lands!"

His crew gave him a look of fear, but they did as he demanded. The Kaiser's Faust lurched forward towards the large ball.

Johan prepared his armor, donning on the center of it the blue crystal, Anarchy Beryl, shining on his chest for the world to see. Johan then got on top of the ship, gazing down at the open loading compartment he had ordered for ease of use.

Johan picked up the massive shell and carried it slowly to the gun. He felt winded, but if it ensured their victory, so be it. Johan dropped the gun into the chamber, and shut the gun. Johan then cocked his head to see them rapidly approaching the giant ball of steel.

Johan ran back briefly as they collided with the large ship, the massive gun making a pleasantly large hold in the structure.

Johan saw many disgusting machines and creatures run out with weapons, only to falter as Johan jumped down, "I see you are all prepared to die." Johan growled with a grin, "I will respect your wishes."

/*-*/

Eggman has made his plays, but perhaps he has underestimated his previously inferior opponents. Will He run away with his tail between his legs this time? Or does he have a few more tricks up his sleeve? Johan finally got to unveil the big gun I gave his ship so long ago.

Ok, So I just had my wisdom teeth cut out, and man was I scared. I went under not knowing if I was going to wake up(I have a bit of a paranoid mind), so I prepared a contingency chapter that contained all of the plot points for the Wolverine saga. Hopefully none of you will get to read it because I will still be alive.

I decided that rather than keep this going on hiatus, I'd rather get the next arc out of the way( Chapter 100) and take a longer hiatus to recharge and get myself a better buffer once again. So, two more chapters, then a long break.

Please, leave a review and tell me what you thought. I love hearing about what you all liked and didn't like, and the theories you guys come up with. I get a huge morale boost when I hear from you.
