On the far side of the galaxy exists a planet. The planet was beat up and run down. Most of the civilians lived in small huts. The only thing built up and pristine on the planet was to coliseum. Inside this coliseum the inhabitants of this planet were entertained by gladiator fights to the death. The fiercest warriors in the universe came here to prove their superiority. Or at least that is what the ruler of this planet wanted his subjects to believe. The truth was most of these so-called warriors were slaves. They were brought to this planet by force and made to battle. Each time a battle was won, the winner would receive another link in their chains. Though these chains shackled them to the planet, they were seen as a badge of honor by the holders. This planets natural inhabitants were called Warzoons. The planet was called War World. And the ruler of the planet was a being known as Mongul.

Mongul was a massive being. He stood at eight-feet tall and was all muscle. He considered himself the strongest, that is why he led. And if anyone wanted to challenge him, he quickly put them in their place. Today was a day like any other in his life. He had invited the Warzoon's of his planet to the coliseum for another battle to the death. Mongul made his way to the center.

"Is everyone ready for today's battle?" Mongul asks.

The crowd cheers on.

"I give to you your greatest champion, Draaga!" Mongul says.

Another alien being enters to coliseum. He had greyish brown skin and was also covered in hulking muscle. This was Draaga. He has been the dominant champion of War World for some time. The chains on his wrists dragged along the ground.

"And his opponent. I give to you, Massacre!" Mongul says.

An alien enters from the other side of the coliseum. This one had red skin with long silver hair. He snorted as he made his way in. He wasn't even a slave, he offered to fight Dregga in search of a challenge. The crowd roars waiting for these two beings to engage in battle.

"Begin!" Mongal shouts, as he heads to his seat.

The two beings charge at each other. When they collide, neither man gives and inch. They lock hands in a test of strength. Massacre frees his right hand and punches Draaga square in the jaw. Draaga staggers back. Massacre charges forward and tackles Draaga to the ground.

Mongul smirks at this. Draaga had been his top fighter for some time. The crowd was getting bored of him and frankly so was Mongul.

Draaga blocks Massacres punch and pushes him off. He returns to his feet. Massacre charges towards Draaga again. This time Draaga grabs him and puts him in a headlock. Draaga lifts Massacre up and slams him on the ground. Now Draaga begins punching away at Massacre. Massacre blocks a punch and kicks Draaga off. Both men stand back up. The two start squaring off with massive blows to each other. Draaga loosens the chains on his wrist. He swings forward and wraps them around Massacre's neck. He gets behind Massacre and begins to strangle him. Massacre fights for air, but is eventually knocked out.

For a moment Mongul grits his teeth.

"Your winner, Draaga!" Mongul says.

Two Warzoon's grab Massacre's arms and drag him to Draaga. A third hands Draaga an axe. Draaga looks down at Massacre, who is just returning to consciousness. Massacre looks up just as Draaga lifts the axe. He swings the axe and severs Massacre's head. The crowd's reaction goes between cheers and apathy as Draaga wins again.

Mongul head to his quarters.

"That was pathetic." Mongul says.

One of his Warzoon aides enters.

"What do you have for me?" Mongul asks.

"We believe we may have found another warrior." The aid says.

"Like this last one you brought me?" Mongul asks.

"This one looks promising, he lives on a planet called Earth." The aid says.

"Earth?! Never heard of it." Mongul says.

"It's a rather unremarkable planet. But he seems to be their champion. They call him Superman." The aid says as he shows Mongul a picture.

Mongul considers it for a moment.

"Very well, contact Lobo and offer him a bounty to bring this "Superman" here alive." Mongul says.

"Yes master." The aid says.

"And one more thing." Mongul says.

"Yes master?" The aid asks.

"If this Superman doesn't live up to the hype, it's your head." Mongul says.

The aid nods as he leaves the room.
