Lobo makes his way to the center of the arena. The crowd cheers on as they are about to get another fight.

"Just for the record Supes, I actually do like you." Lobo says.

"We don't have to do this." Superman responds.

"Sorry, but the main man has to get paid." Lobo says.

"Begin!" Mongul shouts out.

Lobo charges at Superman. Superman puts his arms up to block. Lobo punches right through Superman's arms. The hit takes Superman off his feet. Lobo grabs a pipe and begins twirling it around. He raises it above his head and swings. Superman grabs the pipe. He focus's his heat vision on it and melts the pipe. The crowd cheers in excitement. Mongul leans forward in his chair. He didn't know this Superman had heat vision.

"How many powers you got?" Lobo asks.

Superman kicks Lobo back.

"I told you, I don't want to fight." Superman says.

"Come on Supes, admit that you're having a little bit of fun." Lobo says.

Lobo charges forward again and swings with a right hand. Superman grabs Lobo's arm and throws him to the dirt. He punches Lobo in the back of the head.

"Oof, no fair." Lobo says.

"What's the matter, can't take it?" Superman asks, mocking Lobo.

This upsets Lobo and the two lock hands testing each other's strength. Lobo knees Superman in the gut and flips him over his back. Superman rubs some dirt off his face as he tries to reset himself.

"What's the matter, can't take it?" Lobo asks, now mocking Superman.

Superman tries to fly forward at Lobo, the the pull of the planet drags him to the ground before he reaches him. Lobo then pounds his arms into Superman's back. Superman tries to get up to his knees, but Lobo keeps punching him down.

Mongul's heart was racing with excitement. Lobo was going to win.

Lobo punches again and again at Superman's head, but Superman refuses to fall over. Finally, Superman blocks Lobo's punch and grabs Lobo's fist. He stands up and looks Lobo in the eye.

"Uh-oh." Lobo says.

Superman swings forward with a punch that sends Lobo across the arena. Lobo smashes into a pile of junk and gets buried beneath it. Superman heads over and looks at Lobo under the pile of scrap. Lobo looks up at Superman.

"Y-yield." Lobo utters out.

"The crowd cheers as Superman wins again.

"Superman!" Superman!" They begin cheering.

Mongul is incensed. This was his world and no one here should be this strong, or give his people this sort of hope.

"Your winner, Superman." Mongul says.

Superman looks up at Mongul.

"How about next, I fight you." Superman says.

The crowd gasps. Mongul grits his teeth. It had been sometime since someone had challenged him to a fight.

"Do you know what you are asking?" Mongul asks.

"I do." Superman says.

"I am the strongest here, it is why I rule War World." Mongul says.

"I don't care, you don't get to treat people like this." Superman says.

"Very well, but I will give you time to heal first." Mongul says.

Two Warzoon's sneak up behind Superman and shock him with an electro-stick.

"AHHH!" Superman yells as he falls to his knees.

One of the Warzoon's put's a shock collar back around Superman's neck. The turn it on. Superman tries to fight back, but after his two recent battles, his energy is low. Soon he loses conciseness.

Superman wakes up back in his cell.

"That was some fight." Maxima says in the cell next to him.

"You were watching?" Superman asks.

"Mongul makes us watch all the fights. He wants us to study our competition." She says.

"Is that what we are, competition?" Superman asks.

"Probably not, with you challenging Mongul, you're as good as dead." Maxima says.

"I've faced worse." Superman says.

"Ah, frag, somebody let me out of here." Lobo shouts, from the cell to Superman's other side.

"Mongul locked you up too?" Superman asks.

"Supes, you gotta help me out. Please, for old times sake." Lobo says.

"What old times?" Superman asks.

"Oh come on, there was that time I went to Earth and took you on a space adventure." Lobo says.

"You kidnapped me, and that was last week." Superman says.

"You have to put a negative spin on everything." Lobo says.

"After I face Mongul, I'll get us all out of here." Superman says.

Maxima watches on. She sees the confidence in Superman, but she does not believe this is a battle he can win.

On the outskirts of the planet, a dump truck backs up and unloads its scrap. Draaga falls out with the trash.

"No, No, NO!" Draaga yells.

"Superman, you have stripped me of my honor. I swear I will have my revenge." Draaga says.

Back on Earth, Victor Sage continues his research into Lex. He had gone back nearly five years, to when Lex was put on trial. All that came courtesy of an article in the Daily Planet written by Clark Kent. Lex had purchased some apartments that had burned down and built new manufacturing factories. As Victor looked over the information, there were many inconsistencies that weren't adding up. As he continued to study, he noticed signatures of arson. A particular arsonist. The Firefly, currently locked up in Arkham Asylum. While he could persure this lead, Lex had already been exonerated of this issue. Then Victor dug back further. Recalling that Lex's parents also died in an apartment fire. He would pick up his research there.
