Two Blue Lines Change Everything-Ch 4
After making love to Penelope three times, they shared a shower before he told her that he had to go do a few things on one of his properties and that he would be gone for several hours to which she smiled and said, "okay handsome". Before he walked out the door he said, "how about tonight we have a movie night and order in your favvorite pizza?", she said, "ohhhhh me likey that idea", she walked over and kissed his lips passionately and when they pulled apart she said, "I love you".
Derek wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer and said, "and I you baby girl and I you", they shared a couple more kisses before he reluctantly pulled away and said, "catch ya later goddess", she said, "I'll try not to run to fast so that you can catch me". He winked at her and said, "ohhhh or we could work up an appetite by me chasing you around first?", she grinned and said, "we'll see hotstuff, we'll see", he said, "that we will angel, that we will" as he walked out of the apartment and disappeared out of sight at the end of the hall.
She watched out the window to make sure that he was leaving before grabbing her things and making her way to Esther, she had to get to the ER and get checked, she had to make sure how far along she was so that hopefully she would know who the father was. As she climbed behind the wheel of her baby she blew out a deep breath wondering what she was going to do, what if this baby belonged to Kevin, what would she do, she shook off that thought as she put her key into the ignition and started her car.
A few minutes later she was walking into her doctors office, she walked over to the desk, the nurse looked up at her and smiled saying, "good morning Penelope, how are you doing today?", Penelope bit down on her bottom lip and said, "okay but now okay, is their anyway that you can squeeze me in this morning?", the nurse checked the schedule and said, "you're in luck one of her patients just cancelled so she has the next hour free".
Penelope said, "please put me down for now then", the nurse nodded her head and said, "sure thing", she then stood up and said, "follow me", Penelope followed her friend down the hall and stepped into a room. Kammy looked at Penelope and said, "can you tell me what's wrong?", Penelope looked up at Kammy and said, "I took a home pregnancy test and it came back positive, sooooooo I guess I'm here for confirmation and if I am pregnant I need to try to find out how far along I am".
Kammy could tell that something was wrong with Penelope so she sat down beside her and took her hand and said, "what's wrong Penelope, you know that you can tell me?", Penelope nodded her head and then filled her friend in on what was happening. The doctor walked in right as Penelope was explaining her situation to Kammy so she sat down on the other side of Penelope and listened as she continued her story.
When she was done Kammy and Samantha looked at each other, Samantha said, "alright, first we need to get a blood and urine sample, they we can get started on trying to find out just what we can do to help you", Penelope nodded her head yes and blew out a deep breath. A little while later the trio of women were sitting around talking when a knock came to Samantha's door, she said, "come in", the door opened to reveal a lab tech, she handed Samantha the results and said, "here are the results you've been waiting on Samantha" before turning around and heading back toward the door.
Samantha thanked the tech and then turned all of her attention to a very worried and nervous Penelope Grace Garcia, Samantha glanceid down at the paper and then up at Penelope and said, "okay Penelope, I need for you to tell me when the last time you were with Kevin?", Penelope said, "around 6 or 7 weeks ago". Samantha said, "alright, now when was the first time you were with Derek?", Penelope blushed and said, "around 6 or 7 weeks ago, see that's my problem, I was with Kevin a day or so before I was with Derek, ahhhhhhh, what am I gonna do?" causing the two friends to look at each other and then at Penelope.
Penelope looked up at Samantha and said, "sooooo, how far along am I?", Samantha looked down at the paper and then up at her friend and said, "according to your test results you are definitely pregnant, around 6 weeks along". Tears started streaming down her cheeks and she said, "what am i gonna do, what am I gonna do?", the two women sat back down beside Penelope and pulled her into a hug, they held her while she completely broke down in their arms.
