Two Blue Lines Change Everything-Ch 5
Kammy and Samantha sat for a few minutes just talking to Penelope, they went into great detail on what her choices where, she could keep the baby, she could have it and give it up for adoption or she could have an abortion and they were sure to let her know that the choice was up to her.
Samantha said, "Penelope you need to tell Derek and Kevin that you're pregnant, they have the right to know", Penelope looked up at her friend with tears in her eyes and said, "I can't, I don't know how to tell them this, how can I tell them that I'm pregnant and don't know who the father is, how can I do that?", Samantha wrapped her arms around her friend and rocked her back and forth lovingly as she cried.
Kammy said, "Peeelope, you are an amazing person, you're strong, kind, loving to a fault and have one of the biggest hearts I have ever seen in my life, you have time, you're only a few weeks along, so go home and think about what you want to do and if you decide not to tell them, you need to confide in somebody, okay?", the crying blonde looked at her friend and nodded her head yes.
She stayed with Kammy and Samantha for a few more minutes before wiping her eyes and thanking them for everything they had done and said to and for her. As Samantha and Kammy watched her walk away their hearts broke for her because they knew that she had a huge decision to make and they knew that she would make the right choice, they knew that she would tell Derek and Kevin, the question was when and how.
As she climbed into her car she blew out a deep breath and said, "what do I do, what do I do?", she then reached for her phone and pulled up a number and after hitting send she waited for somebody to answer and finally a few a few rings she heard JJ say, "hey Garcie, what's up, where are you?", Penelope said, "Jayje, I need you, can you please meet me?", JJ could tell that something was wrong and she said, "do I need to find Derek?", to which she quickly said, "NOOOO, NOOOOOO".
JJ said, "okay, okay, take it easy, I won't call Derek", Penelope said, "please Jayje, please can you meet me, I need to talk to somebody", JJ said, "just tell me where and when I'm there". Penelope said, "how about half an hour at that little diner up the street from my apartment?", JJ said, "sure honey, I'll meet you there, I'll meet you there".
After the call ended JJ couldn't help but worry about Penelope, it was obvious that she was crying and JJ couldn't help but wonder what had happened to upset the usually bubbly and happy heart of their team so she grabbed her things and headed toward the elevator, she needed to talk to Penelope and find out what was going on.
Penelope walked to the diner almost as if she was in a trance, she saw things but didn't really see them, finally she made it to the diner, she walked in and headed to a booth in the corner out of the way and ordered two coffees and sat waiting for JJ to show up.
She was half way through her cup of coffee when JJ walked through the door, she looked around and saw Penelope in the corner, she made her way quickly to the back of the room and sat down with her friend and said, "what's wrong Penelope?" to which the girl only said, "Jayjeeee" and leaned into her arms crying.
JJ sat rocking her friend and saying over and over, "it's gonna be okay, it's gonna be okay" and as Penelope sat crying in JJ's arms she couldn't help but wonder if JJ was right, would everything be okay, would she be able to figure out what to do, only time would tell now, time and a good friend who was leading an ear in Penelope's time of need.
