Two Blue Lines Change Everything-Ch 6
A few minutes later once Penelope had finally calmed down she pulled back and looked at the face of her worried friend, JJ said, "Garcie, what's wrong, please tell me because you're scaring me here", Penelope sighed and rested her head against the back of the booth as she tried to come up with a way of starting this particular conversation.
JJ looked at her as she said, "you know that I was dating Kevin right?", JJ said, "of course", Penelope then said, "and you know that I broke up with him because he cheated on me, right?", JJ nodded her head and said, "I do", Penelope blew out a deep breath as she said, "and you remember the night that we all went out drinking and I got drunk sooooo hotstuff took me home?", JJ said, "yeah I remember Garcia".
Penelope said, "that night was the first night that Derek and I slept together", JJ said, "yeahhhhhh, i know" so Penelope said, "welllll i took a home pregnancy test and it was positive", JJ gasped and Penelope said, "I went to see Samanantha and Kammy and sure enough I am pregnant, around 6 weeks along", JJ said, "so who's the father?", Penelope shrugged and said, "I have no idea, the last time I was with Kevin was around 6 or 7 weeks ago and the first time I was with Derek was around that time too soooooo I have no idea which one of them is the father".
JJ reached over and took her friend by the hand and asked, "so what are you going to do?", Penelope said, "I don't know Jayje, I just don't know", JJ said, "are you going to tell them that you're pregnant?", Penelope said, "I know that I need to but they are gonna wanna know which one of them is the father and right now I can't tell them, not because I don't want too but because I have no idea which one of them it is".
Tears started streaming down Penelopes face and JJ said, "don't worry we'll all be here for you, we love you Garcia and we'll do anything we can to help you", Penelope said,"what should I do Jayje, please please tell me", JJ gently squeezed her hand and said, "I think that you should tell them both, tell them together and we'll be there just to make sure that nothing gets out of hand".
Penelope said, "what do I do about this baby, should I keep it or?", JJ said, "that's your decision Garcia but know whatever you decide to do that I will back you all of the way", Penelope said, "I'm so confused, so lost, I, I, I don't know what to do", JJ said, "how about you send everybody a group message and have them meet someplace neutral and tell the fathers to be what's going on and then we'll go from there?", Penelope said, "you'll be with me the entire time, right?", JJ said, "I promise you that I won't leave your side unless you want me too".
Penelope nodded her head and then pulled out her cell, she sent a group text to the team and added Kevin to it, in the message she asked them all to meet her at JJ and Reid's house, she said that she had something that she needed to discuss with everybody, it was only a matter of a few minutes before she got replies letting her know that everybody was coming, Kevin, who was confused about why he was included in this message finally agreed last.
As they headed to JJ's place Penelope couldn't concentrate on anything but what she was going to say, how could she say this, should she just blurt it out or should she calmly tell them what's going on", she was pulled from her thoughts when JJ said, "we're here Penelope", they both then got out of the car and headed inside and it was only a matter of a few minutes before everybody started arriving.
Penelope was sitting on the couch when Derek walked in, he headed straight over to her, he said, "sweetness, what's wrong, what do you need to talk to everybody about?", Penelope looked around and saw that everybody was there except Kevin so she said, "I'll start once Kevin is here, because I only want to do this one time", Derek grinned and nodded his head yes as he plopped down beside her.
It wasn't long before Kevin knocked on the door, Reid walked over and opened the door and said, "come in Kevin", Kevin stepped through the door and said, "I don't understand why I'm here, is this about a case?", Reid shook his head and said, "no, this meeting wasn't called by us, it was called by Garcia", Kevin said, "by Penelope?", Reid nodded his head yes and motioned for Kevin to follow him into the living room to join the others.
Dave looked at Penelope and said, "okay kitten we're all here, the ball is in your court, what did you want to tell all of us today?", Penelope looked at JJ who smiled and nodded her head yes letting her know that she knew Penelope could do it, Penelope took a deep breath and opened her mouth as she readied to speak.
