Two Blue Lines Change Everything-Ch 8
While Derek sat holding Penelope the rest of the team headed to the other room to discuss Kevin's behavior, Reid glanced over his shoulder and then back at his team and said, "I don't trust him, not for a minute, he knows that Penelope is with Derek and that the baby could be his sooooo I think he's gonna do whatever it takes to keep Penelope away from Derek".
Dave nodded his head and said, "I agree with you on that one kid, he was acting stranger than usual and for Lynch that's really saying something and the way that he treated Penelope right before he left shows psychotic tendencies", Emily said, "we'll have to make sure that she's never alone with him, because it's hard to tell what he might do".
Hotch said, "we'll arrange for Anderson to watch over her when we're away on a case", Dave said, "and I'll talk to Fran and let her know what's going on so that her and the girls can check in on her too", Reid said, "the more eyes we have guarding Garcia the better", JJ said, "my heart breaks for her, she's been in love with Derek for so long and now that they're together and she's pregnant, even though this time should be happy it's not".
Dave said, "don't worry kitten and the baby will be safe because if anything happens to either of them Kevin Lynch is a dead man", the others looked at each other and then at Dave and nodded their heads yes in agreement, they glanced at Penelope and saw that she was now sitting up and talking to Derek.
Penelope blew out a deep breath and said, "I know that you didn't sign up for this when we got together that night", Derek smiled at her and said, "baby girl, I love you, I always have and you being pregnant makes me happy", Penelope said, "even though there is a 50% chance that the baby could be Kevins?", Derek cupped her face in his hands and smiled lovingly into her eyes and said, "and there is also a 50% chance that the baby you're carrying is mine".
She grinned and said, "ohhhhh how I hope that's true, I want this little one here" as her hand slid down to her stomach, she then looked up at Derek and said, "I want him or her to be yours", Derek leaned in and rested his forehead against hers and said, "I want that too goddess, more than anything else in this world, I want this little angel ehre to be mine".
Penelope bit down on her bottom lip and said, "what if the baby is Kevins, can you still be with me?", Derek said, "nothing or nobody is gonna take you away from me, not now, not ever", she said, "but", he said, "no buts, you are the love of my life, you are the best thing that's ever happened to me and nothing or nobody is gonna take you or this one here" as his hand slid down to cover hers on her stomach, he finished by saying, "away from me, ever".
Across town Kevin pulled his car over and hit the steering wheel with his fst several times and said, "that baby has to be mine it just has too, Penelope and I were together for years and we were together more than once on each night soooo the probability is high that the baby she's carrying his mine", he grinned and said, "so suck it Derek".
He the looked into the mirror and said, "I won't let anybody take plum sauce or our baby away from me", be blew out a deep breath and closed his eyes for a second before opening them and said ,"and I do mean nobody, not even you or your precious team will be able to keep me away from Penelope and our baby".
Kevin got out of his car and pocketed his keys as he made his way back inside the BAU, he had a lot of things to get ready before he took the steps needed to make sure that Penelope was a permanent fixture in his life and by permanent he meant he was going to marry her so that even if Derek was the biological father he would be the father that was with the child every day and that fact would kill Derek".
As he sat down at his desk a few minutes later he started making a list of everything he was going to need to make Penelope Grace Garcia the first and only Mrs. Kevin Lynch, if she wanted to be or not.
