Two Blue Lines Change Everything-Ch 12
After enjoying a delicious meal together the family headed back into the living room, well everybody but Fran and the girls, they cleared off the table and put the dishes into the dishwasher first before joining the others, when they walked into the living room they were deciding on what movie to watch first.
Henry and Jack won with their favorite movie Finding Nemo, they loved that movie, no it was more than love, they were crazy over that movie so whenever they watched movies together that was always the first movie watched because they all knew that the boys would fall asleep before the end of the movie.
Sure enough about 20 minutes before the movie was over Hotch and Reid carried their sleeping sons upstairs and put them down on a bed for the night. When they returned they discovered that the women had decided that the next movie would be Madea, ohhhh how they loved that movie, she was hilarious and not to mention the eye candy that was in the first movie.
Fran grinned and pointed to the screen and said, "that one there, him, yeah, he looks like my baby boy", Derek said, "momma I am soooo much better looking than that guy", the women all threw their heads back and laughed as Desi said, "whatever helps you sleep at night big brother", Reid laughed and quickly turned his head away as Derek looked his way.
Dave said, "I have to agree with them son, the two of you do look alike", Penelope intertwined fingers with Derek and said, "I'd rather have you hotstuff", Derek kissed the end of her nose and said, "see my girl would rather have me so there", his sisters rolled their eyes and giggled as he then stuck his tongue out at them.
Derek then looked at his mother and said, "momma they are picking on your boy", Fran said, "girls don't pick on your brother", Sarah said, "but maaaaaa it's sooooo easy to pick on him", Desi grinned and said, "yeah momma, come onnnnn, you always take his side", Derek said, "eat your hearts out ladiessss" causing the girls to laugh and shake their heads at their brother.
When the movie started everybody sighed happily and turned their attention to the movie, about halfway through the movie Penelope laid her head down on Derek's shoulder and closed her eyes and in a matter of a few minutes she had drifted off to sleep, Derek got Reid's attention and mouthed the words, "I'm gonna tuck baby girl in", Reid nodded his head and mouthed the words, "goodnight".
Fran looked up to see her son carrying Penelope up the stairs, she sighed happily and leaned in to Dave and whispered, "they are so perfect together aren't they?", Dave said, "that they are Bella, that they are" as they watched Derek disappear out of sight at the top of the stairs as he headed down the hall.
He pushed a door open with his foot and carried her inside, he walked over to the bed and pulled back the cover with one hand and laid her down gently, he brushed her hair out of her eyes and pulled the cover up over her and whispered, "good night sweetness" and as he turned to go she reached out and grabbed his hand and said, "stay with me".
Derek toed off his shoes and climbed in bed behind her, he wrapped his arms around her and cuddled close to her, he kissed the side of her neck and whispered, "good night baby girl, I love you", she mumbled, "I love you too" before the sound of light snoring filled the room, he grinned and closed his eyes and soon joined his Penelope in sleep
