Anonymous( Chapter 112): Mecha Sally is certainly acting nicer to Sonic, and in a time when he needs it the most. As for the chilidog, there wouldn't normally be a chilidog there with just Eggman, but there are several people there.
Fiona was saved by Stick's zeal, but she also gave it the caveat that if they don't find Sonic, Sticks will kill Fiona.
As for Johan, you'll have to wait and see.
o3o: Eggman has been neglecting Sonic to make his stay uncomfortable as possible. The Echidnas, however aren't exactly keen on torture, and don't really want to fight.
With the chilidog, there might be someone there who likes it. There are a lot of moving parts, and there are plenty of cooking badniks and things to take care of whatever Eggman craves.
Renault and Oscar are a little skeptical of dreams and the faith as a whole. Sticks believes that God sends dreams to communicate, so she doesn't find it strange, but she has also ensured that if Fiona is lying, Sticks will kill her first.
There's plenty to be revealed by Johan and his men.
/*-*/
The intrusion force sat on the top of a hill with ravaged trees and bushed. Thankfully, the husks still remained to provide Fiona and the company with some concealment, which was good as there appeared to be a supply outpost down below, on the dirt road that led to and away from the kingdom. There was a large floating truck coming along the road.
There didn't appear to be many mobians or badniks there. An Echidna and Wolf, simply standing around. There were a couple of swatbots, but no army.
"We'll need to be quiet." Oscar mumbled, scratching his chin slightly as the floating truck stopped and unloaded supplies to the depot.
Renault looked very nervous and hesitant, "If we aren't careful, this could lead to a lot of problems."
"That's what I said." Oscar grumbled, before sighing, "It'd probably be best if we just moved on."
"Come on, we could completely mess up their supply lines. Just one quick, sudden attack and the kill them all quickly." Sticks complained, flicking the sword on her back in annoyance.
"That'd be four on one. We don't have weapons, remember. If I'd have known this was what we were going to be doing, I would have brought my rifle." Oscar grumbled, looking over the pathway once again.
"I'm easily better than four men, or four machines!" Sticks protested, drawing her sword slightly from the sheath to show how shiny it was.
Fiona kept watch. Even if they did overpower the outpost guards and take out the badniks, the possibility of an alarm meant they would be hunted further. Of course, any attack carried risk. Fiona decided it was time to weigh in, "We need to be quiet about this. Any alarm is the end of this little trip."
Sticks groaned in frustration, "You all are a bunch of cowards. Fine, we will be quiet, but if they spot us, I'm killing them all."
Fiona nodded, sighing, "Fair enough." She stepped forward with Renault, and Oscar walked with Sticks as they went down the hill slowly in pairs, taking different routes down. Fiona was somewhat worried about the operation.
Thankfully, she didn't have to voice those concerns, as Renault was all too happy to voice his own concerned, "Is she really that eager to hurt someone, kill someone?"
Fiona snorted, ducking under a withered bush as they got lower down the mountain, "Possibly. She didn't seem to have any qualms with hurting me when we first fought?"
Renault shuddered, "Why? What kind of person wants to cause havoc like that?" He realized he was standing up and quickly got down beside Fiona.
Fiona shrugged, "You've met Johan, that big lug loves to fight. I think it's just their pastime. That's what they love, that's what they say is important." She watched as the floating truck began to load up supplies, different from the ones it dropped off.
"He's different. His ideas are noble, he wants to help our kingdom." Renault insisted innocently.
Fiona snorted skeptically. She shouldn't be so cynical, but the idea of helping a kingdom he had no ties to seemed… strange, "Is he?"
Renault froze, looking down at his feet.
Fiona continued as the transport truck floated out of the gateway that separated the large storage building and the small guard house, "I think he's doing this for the challenge. He's helping us because he wants to prove that he's better. We just benefit from it… for now."
She stood up, and Renault did the same, growing quiet. He seemed to be brooding a bit, as if Fiona tried to break his rose-tinted goggles.
They moved closer, and crawled into a ditch that went along the road, likely to re-route water during a rainy season. Fiona sank down deeper into the mud, ignoring the nasty itching that was starting to build in her fur. It had been so long since she had a bath, and it was starting to show.
Stick jumped in the ditch with them, making a bit of splash in the mud, but got extra low with a grin. Her hood was coated in mud, but the badger looked all the happier for the dirtiness. She looked up the ditch, which still obscured their forms from the two guards.
Oscar crawled quietly into the ditch, sinking into the mud with them.
They sat there in the ditch, not saying a word, even as Sticks shifted eagerly.
"Another shipment, huh?" A voice grumbled from up top. He sounded rather bored, but also kind of happy as well.
"Yeah, I hear the boys at the front have had to deal with a lot of rabble now." Another voice grumbled. Those were the two guards.
The first one spoke again, "Yeah, the kingdom is now hitting back a lot harder… and now Lien-da wants to focus on some stupid city."
Fiona blinked as she listened in. A single city? Maybe they needed to tell Johan about this… but how? How could they get a message back to Roja?
"Just count yourself lucky you don't have to be at the front lines. This is a lot safer." The Second one growled back, before groaning, "Just help me get these things into storage so we can wait for another shipment."
"Alright, I'm on it, I'm going… You think they'll ever make it this far?" The first one asked curiously.
"Not unless they through several other check points. We're safe." The Second voice resigned, becoming strained.
Fiona leaned into her army, and whispered, "Alright, we need to work our way around the back, and try to get into the storage area. Without killing." Fiona clarified, looking at Sticks who was still fidgeting in anticipation.
They moved around the back, hopeful that Eggman would not have security cameras looking behind the checkpoint. No alarms got sounded as the crossed several feet back, and approached the larger building from the rear.
Fiona saw a keypad on the back of the building, with a door the led inside. Fiona got close to as her group moved in to keep watch. She pulled open the box of the keypad and began to tamper with the wires.
She unplugged the black wire, and that caused the system to shut down and the doors to open. The team moved inside to see several large boxes, some made of wood, some made of metal. Most were on the shelves next to the door. Others were on a pallet near the doorway.
Fiona's ears immediately began to pick up a buzzing sound. She stretched out her arms to stop everyone from rushing in. She actually pushed them out a bit, and peaked inside.
Fiona saw the air shimmering from movement above the shelved. It was a large wing moving back and forth as a modified buzzbomber flew around, having a sort of claw for moving crates, and a single eye instead of the wasp head.
Oscar pulled away with a scowl, and Fiona was with him on that. This complicated things, but in hindsight, it should have been expected. Eggman loved his machines, so why wouldn't he have badnik workers as well as badnik guards.
Renault looked worried, and Fiona wasn't exactly against that either. If this thing heard them( If it could hear) then they had to worry about an alarm-
Sticks, who had somehow snuck close enough to the machine, swung her sword and smacked the flying badnik to the ground before she raised her sword again and stabbed downward on the head of the machine, cutting through the back of the camera. The sword was so heavy that Sticks actually leapt up from the impact, but it crushed the badnik's metal skull with violent smashing sound.
Sticks looked up at them with a grin, "There, no problem."
Fiona and Renault remained outside and waited for a response from the outpost workers.
Oscar peaked out around the building to see if there was any movement. His tensing up said that they were detected.
Fiona whispered inside, "They're coming!"
Sticks grinned as she hefted the sword back up and turned around to the door.
Fiona was not about to watch Sticks get caught. She rushed in, and grabbed Sticks, trying to pull her out the door. Unfortunately, she was again reminded that Sticks grew up in a mountain with warrior constantly making her get stronger. Her stance was tight and tough, and Fiona barely got an inch out of her before she sprinted at the door.
The door opened and the Echidna stepped in only to turn as the sword stabbed him into the wall, with the steel blade cutting into the wall. This wouldn't have been a problem, if not for the fact that the wolf outside saw her.
The Echidna dropped a weapon, a type of laser on the ground, Fiona grabbed it as the wolf took aim at Sticks, who was jerking on her sword, trying to pull it out of the wall.
Fiona fired at the wolf, and the two swatbots came alive, firing into the doorway. Sticks finally jerked back as Fiona shot at the wolf, striking his leg, and knocking him into the ditch.
The Swatbots were closing in, and Fiona began to shoot at them. Unfortunately, they weren't really hurt by the lasers which simply turned their metal chest pieces a light red color, which cooled down. Fiona kept firing, before retreating into the storage room to keep herself from being hit by the barrage.
Sticks sat behind a metal shelf, hiding from the encroaching badniks. The swatbot came through the doorway and turned jaggedly towards Fiona.
Sticks jumped out from behind the shelves and swung her sword at the swatbot. The blade collided with the metal badnik, and knocked it on the ground. She raised her sword and smashed the head piece of the swatbot.
The second one started to fire at Sticks, but was tackled by Oscar who had ran around the building. He started punching the iron head of the machine. Fiona ran over to help him, when he finally cracked the visor of the badnik.
Fiona looked around and saw a crowbar… strange Eggman was still using them. She tossed it to Oscar, "Hey, Catch!"
The Swatbot grabbed its gun as Oscar caught the crowbar and brought it down on the visor, hook first. The claw cut into the machine's head piece and the arm locked up. Oscar panted, before rising off the machine, "Thanks." He mumbled at Fiona.
"Don't mention it." Fiona smirked, before confirming, "Seriously, don't…. or maybe a little."
Oscar snorted at her, before standing up. Sticks came out and stood proudly, her arm covered in blood and oil, "Good save, thanks."
Oscar nodded, still mildly annoyed judging by the look on his face. They really did not want to be here, but they needed supplies.
Fiona jolted up, nearly forgetting why they were there, "Supplies, we need to get the supplies and go."
"I don't think they sounded an alarm, but I don't really want to stick around to find out." Oscar mumbled, scratching his chin, before looking down at the machines, "Should we clean this up?"
"You all can, I'll finish up here." Sticks grinned, pointing her sword at the ditch they had listened from.
Oscar and Fiona turned to look. There wasn't anything there, and Oscar asked, "What?" He was as confused as Fiona was.
Sticks let out a cry and ran at the ditch.
The Wolf that Fiona had shot got up and started firing at Sticks. A laser struck her leg, but she had closed the distance quickly and the blade of her large sword went down at the Wolf. He threw his laser rifle up and the blade cut into the gun.
The Wolf dropped the remnants of the gun, and turned around with his wrists looking rather limp. He turned to run, but he tripped as he slid under the mud, and fell to the ground, tumbling down into the ditch.
Sticks gave chase, as Renault shouted, "Wait, you don't have to kill him!"
Sticks didn't seem to listen as she got to the wolf's laying form and slammed her blade down on his neck. Blood shot out of the corpse and sprayed Stick's face, and splattered along the ground. Fiona tried to avert her eyes as the blade cut into the neck.
Oscar turned his head, and looked off in the distance.
Renault, however, dropped to his knees and threw up, before heaving, "Why would you do that?"
"He was going to chase us, or tell our enemy about us. I solved the problem." Sticks smiled, licking some of the blood off her lips, "If he wanted to live, he should have fought harder."
Fiona shook her head and sighed. Sticks wasn't wrong on the first part. They needed as much surprise as they could get. Still, Sticks wasn't fighting for secrecy. She was enjoying every bit of it… or at least it appeared so.
"Come on, let's get to looting." Sticks cheered, walking towards the storage building.
Fiona and Oscar looked at each and nodded. Fiona shouldn't have cared about what happened to the enemy, but it still felt unnecessarily cruel, what Sticks did.
Oscar walked inside, while Fiona walked over to Renault, who was still hunched over, looking rather green.
Fiona sighed, "You better get used to a sight like that. I don't know how you avoided something like this at New Mobotropolis." She shook her head, standing over him.
"I… I was in the backlines… Loading things… this was not what I was expecting." Renault shifted, looking up at the nearly decapitated head of the wolf, before hurling once again. They really did not have time for this.
"Look, Sticks was right on the part that we can't let them go. If we get caught… trust me, there are somethings I'd rather die than experience…" Fiona remembered the roboticizer, the fear she felt when she was locked in Robotnik's dungeon.
"How… How are you so calm?" Renault heaved again, looking even more sickly.
"I guess you get a little cynical when you've seen what I've seen." Fiona mumbled, tasting the bitterness in her own voice, before shaking her head, "Come on, we need to get food, and anything to help us out."
She picked up the pig and carried him to the supply building, before setting him against the wall, and walking up to a crate. Renault moved over to watch her, and she opened a wooden crate. Inside there were potatoes. Not something that was easy to prepare or make useful
Sticks pulled out cans and cans of beans, frowning at each package. Each crate seemed to carry a single type of item. They sifted through some more. Fiona moved along to the next crate, and found some weapons in it. Sticks found the matching batteries. Oscar pulled out a set of leather uniforms that the Legion wore.
They kept searching through the boxes. There were plenty of dry vegetables, but nothing terribly appealing.
"Let's eat what we can, then pack the rest." Sticks proclaimed proudly, putting her hands on her hips. She really treated this like a fun experience and not a life or death moment. But again, it made the most sense.
"Let's check the main building for something to cook with." Renault mumbled quietly, shifting over his pile of turnips.
Sticks and Fiona nodded, and followed along carrying tons of carrots, potatoes and turnips. The door was open for the smaller building. It was surprisingly roomy inside, with a small stove, a couple of bunk beds and small pair of boxes which had clothes inside. There was a hose for a shower, and a sink for water.
But the biggest surprise was the station in the corner of the room. It had several screens, and appeared to be a relay center for communications out in the kingdom. Works flowed back and forth… which meant Fiona could do something to help the soldiers back at home.
Sticks hefted her sword at the station while Oscar and Renault prepared the food in the pots of water. The water was actually clean, or at least it appeared so, which was a nice refreshment from the slime-water from the swamps.
While the others worked on the food, Fiona walked up to the communication station. There were several sections numbered to show each province that was occupied. Thankfully, on the wall there was a map with drawn up numbers to explain the key.
Fiona stood at the computer, and pressed a couple of buttons. A static sound came through the speaker system.
"Section 2-2-1, reporting in, no major movement."
Fiona looked at the screen as the number lit up. Section 221 was a territory they had passed through on the tractor-bike. That said that they weren't spotted, or at least worthy of note. That was good.
Fiona's mind went to what she could do if she wanted to sabotage Eggman. If nothing was currently happening, her options were limited, but if there was an attack going on, that opened the door to so much more for them to exploit.
"This is Section 2-2-1, reporting in, please confirm?"
The request was hard to read, but Fiona was pretty sure that they were getting suspicious. She leaned into the microphone and licked her lips, "Confirmed, proceed."
The static silence hung for a moment.
"Who is this?"
"This the…" Fiona looked at the map with the hope of finding their location.
Renault answered her, "C7."
"C7 outpost. We read you?" Fiona leaned back, hopeful that the soldiers would be appeased and just keep moving on. Silence held for a moment.
"Who is this? Where is Tal-fe?"
Fiona didn't need to hear clearly to understand that they were onto them.
Renault came over, looking a little nervous, and holding up a piece of paper. Fiona saw some numbers on it, and realized it was some sort of code. Renault leaned in, "They were recalled due to a sudden swap out… Eggman had an unfortunate day. Authorization code is 366442."
Silence followed and the entire team held their breath, minus Sticks, who was eating.
"Understood, sucks to be the those two. Carry on."
They breathed a sigh of relief, and ate.
After they were finished, Fiona asked, "Where'd you find the code?"
"It was in the coffee. I have a good eye to see those little things." Renault smiled.
Oscar snorted, "That's good that you can sniff out hidden stuff…. Now let's get moving."
They set out, hopeful that they would have enough time before Eggman sent another shipment and they got caught. That was the best case scenario.
/*-*/
Johan was being told the nature of the two other armies. The Legion desire for legitimacy, which was not news to Johan. However, there was a feud which would be settled by one taking the city.
The "Dingoes" as they were called were an outside group with a history of warfare against the Red Garden Defenders. They were proud, but incapable, as they had yet to take the city despite their claims. Ultimately, they had turned to the Egg man for the military power to conquer this city. Their reliance on outsiders was a weakness that Johan would not tolerate. Not that the peoples he was fighting to control were any better.
The large building made with marble and brick was the main fortress of the city's army. The quickly assembled defenses surrounded the large building as if they would stop the rockets flying overhead. The people of this city were not fighting men, Johan knew it by the very sight of their fortress.
Many were gathered around, hunched over and hugging themselves, as if that would protect them from the coming assault. They were not even lacking weapons, for which Johan could see several weapons in boxes and wardrobes.
"They haven't been- Beast, beast, are you listening?" This red Garden Defender, Remington, asked Johan as if he were a delusional fool.
"I heard. Your people do not arm themselves, why?" Johan growled, knowing the answer, but perhaps hoping in a moment of foolishness that there would be a worthy explanation.
"They aren't fighters. Most of our men are teachers, accountants, a few farmers. The Security Team is supposed to protect the city." Remington explained, gesturing to what Johan counted to be thirty red Garden Defenders, armored with cloth and small patches of metal.
Johan's heart grew angry in that moment, and his throat growled. He stood on his hind legs and growled at the whole room, filled with red Garden Defenders of all turning to look at him, "You all deserve this pain that you endure. You cowards, you weak, soft men! You have sold yesterday's war for today, and now you wish for someone to bear your burden!"
Gewis rushed to Johan, "What are you doing?" he asked softly as if worried that farmers and accountants would hurt them.
"Watch your mouth!" Remington growled up at Johan raising his fists
Johan snarled back at the Garden Defender, "You will do nothing, and if you fight me, I will tear your arms from your body." Johan lowered his head to down to look the Garden Defender in the eyes.
"You can try." Remington growled back, balling his fists and glaring up at Johan. He was fierce, not one to be thrown around.
Johan's face took on a smile, "I like you. Your people are weak, but you are not… That is good."
The red Garden Defender froze as if he was surprised by Johan honoring his courage. Remington shook his head, and growled, "We're allies, you can't just come in here and insult our entire population."
"I do not insult you by speaking the truth." Johan snorted, before standing up straight. He thought carefully for the moment as the anger of the people grew against him. It did not matter to him, as he could crush the resistance, but the army was there for a reason, "Our plan will be simple. We will move between the armies of these "Dingoes" and the Legion. We will attack them in the night, and stir anger from them. They will destroy the other, and we will destroy them."
Gewis slowly nodded, "You want to confuse them, make them attack each other… that will give us time to prepare, call for re-enforcements or train up some of the people to fight." He smiled. The boy… young man was learning.
"What, you can't do that." Remington protested, again proclaiming his arrogance as he thought he could control Johan, "There are so many rules of war against that."
Johan and Gewis turned to Remington and Gewis spoke what he knew Johan would say, "There are no real rules in war. The winner decides who was wrong." He turned back to Johan to confirm that he was right.
Johan gave the young fox a nod of support. Johan found himself growing tired of the Garden Defender. His objection was pathetic.
"Are you not coming with us?" Gewis asked, suddenly noticing Johan's tone.
"I will not. I am a large form, difficult to hide, and very easy to know." Johan growled, looking around at the room, "You must go, I will await your return, and be ready to aide you should the need come."
Gewis nodded slowly, looking as though he were afraid, "I want to talk to you before we go, in private."
Johan gave him a nod, and followed the fox to the quarters. Gewis allowed Johan into the armory where they had dropped their looted equipment.
Gewis grabbed a weapon and sighed, "I know you're pretty proud of yourself, but we need to keep these guys happy with us. They're our allies. We can't keep throwing our weight around, or we'll find ourselves alone out here."
Johan growled softly to himself, before responding with the simple logic, "They are not worthy allies to fight along side us. They have less one out of a hundred men ready, and the rest cry in agony, hoping for some fool to take pity on them. They are not worth anything as an ally, nor as slaves. We could fight alone and be ready."
Gewis picked up an enemy laser rifle, and groaned, "You can't keep harassing our allies. We can't do this alone."
"Allies must earn that position." Johan growled in response, "If they can not defend themselves, then they are a weed, draining our resources as we fight for them, with little in return. We cannot afford a weed." His anger grew against these soft, red Garden Defenders. He clenched his fist as the idea of these soft men demanding his protection.
Johan kept his gaze on Gewis, and Gewis returned his own fierce gaze. They both knew how this would go down, "Look, I trust you, you know what you're doing. But just keep my advice in mind, as one of your generals."
Johan stopped for the moment. A good king would take council from his many advisors, "Very well. I will seek wisdom in your statement."
Gewis nodded, and gathered his things, "I'm getting the men and we're heading out. I guess I should ask for you to be ready."
"If they should pursue you, I will destroy. I will not abandon any of you." Johan growled, giving him a nod. Johan found his anger had been replaced with a sense of respect and care. Gewis and his men were loyal, fighting an enemy for people who were less than deserving of either of their respect. That level of loyalty was to be admired, and praised.
Johan approached the men as they got ready to leave, "Go forth my hunters, I will be at the ready to join."
The men gave Johan their thumbs upward in approval, and they set off.
Johan returned to Remington, and growled, "Take me to the ones who lead you."
"You aren't authorized to meet them." Remington insisted
Johan growled, "I have all the authority. They will meet me." He snarled down at the red Garden Defender.
Remington shifted, before sighing, "We don't have one leader. We have a council, so that everyone can be represented." He turned around.
"Of course you do." Johan growled, again growing sick of the civilized city, with all of the monuments to their weakness. Why would they put their faith in one capable leader when they could feel included with several failures. He turned to Ezra, "Follow me."
"What? Are you sure that's a good idea?" Ezra asked in terror.
"They will not attack you." Johan growled firmly, and she walked with him.
Remington led Johan towards the upper rooms, and knocked on the door.
"The council will only see registered visitors." A voice spoke from the otherside.
"It's me." Remington grumbled, looking at his feet. The door opened and another garden defender stood there.
"Oh, That's good, the council has been antsy to hear about what's going on in the city, and if you know who has been recovered." The guard sounded desperate, before spotting Johan, "What is that?"
"That's our… Ally who showed up. He and a hundred or so men… and a legionnaire." Remington sighed.
The guard shifted, before moving out of the way without a word.
Johan entered the center room, to find three elevated chairs with Garden Defenders sitting in them. One was red, one was brown and one was purple. These ones were strange. Johan's presence was enough to draw their attention, however.
They looked down at him, "Who are you?"
"I am here from the Kingdom." Johan growled glaring up at the Red lady-Garden Defender.
She glared down at him, "We do not need the help of outsiders in our city. We can save this city on our own."
Johan glared up at her, "You may dismiss us, and I will return as a conqueror instead of an ally." Johan growled and the room became very tense.
The purple one seemed to try and play Johan off as a joke, "You have a way with words, you large beast."
"I will conquer this city. I kill everyone here and I will take this city. You will do as I say." Johan growled at the three.
Remington drew his small gun, "WHAT? YOU CAN NOT THREATEN THE COUNCIL!"
"Put your weapon away unless you intend to kill me!" Johan snarled at the Garden Defender and he froze, but kept his hand on his weapon.
Johan turned back to the council, "You have failed your people. You have allowed them to grow soft and weak, while your enemies grew strong. You will do as I say, or you will die. I only need this city."
"We will not be threatened by our allies!" The brown one stated stomping his foot.
"Then I will destroy this city, and repel your attackers. I will slaughter all of you. Do not test my anger!" Johan growled, stomping his claws into the stone, cracking it.
The councilors paused for the moment. Perhaps their brains finally came to light, and realized Johan's commitment.
"What do you want." The Red female one asked, sounding angry, but she was listening.
"You will surrender your control of the city to her." Johan gestured to Ezra, and she shuffled forward, "She will lead this city."
"You have brought a Legionnaire in here!" The Female Garden Defender shouted, standing up.
"I'm not… I'm Lien-da's rival for control of the Dark Legion!" Ezra exclaimed, "I need this city to encourage the Legion to leave Eggman."
"Preposterous." The brown Garden Defender grumbled, "You're a spy, seize her!"
The guards moved forward to grab Ezra, but Johan moved in their way hissing and snarling, "If you touch her, I will tear your head off!"
The guards stopped and backed down.
"I want the Legion away from Eggman. We all do." Ezra explained, "But I need to be recognized as a grandmaster. Controlling the city of Echidnapolis would be a big enough feat that they would have to recognize me." She sounded desperate.
The council calmed down somewhat, before the purple one sighed, "Even if we wanted to surrender, we can not. We need the higher councilor. She has gone missing in the city. We do not know if she is alive, but until we find a body, we can not make a decision."
The other councilors nodded in agreement.
Johan stepped forward, "So I must find this higher councilor, and bring her here?" Johan growled angrily. He should have just killed them there, though he might have the opportunity to learn more if he stayed in control. His blood boiled at this complication.
"Yes, if you do that, we can negotiate. If she is in the enemy hands, then the city is lost." The red Garden defender sighed, shaking her head mournfully.
Johan growled, "There will be no negotiation. This city will belong to Ezra. If I must kill all of you, I will." They could not stop him. The waste of manpower would be angering, but he would survive.
"We will fight you if you try." The brown one growled back at Johan, glaring down from his right seat.
Johan hissed back, but found himself smiling for a number of reasons.
"Please, if you can find the Echidna Gala-Na, then we will discuss how to proceed. Until then, there is nothing to talk about. " The purple one stood firm. Johan snarled back before clawing at the ground.
"That is deal, we will work together to pursue a… beneficial… deal for everyone." Ezra smiled, turning back to Johan. That was not her deal to make, but he saw that she wanted this, and was not will go without it.
Which meant Johan would have to find a Garden defender all while fighting two armies. This was going to be fun.

No Sonic this time, but plenty of Fiona and Johan. And plenty of side characters as well. Johan has been given a new task, while Fiona's team has been revitalized… with a blood thirsty captain.
