Chapter 8

"Welcome to the most boring city of the Earth Kingdom, I guess," Azula sighed, looking out the window of their hotel suite, facing a drab look of a largely industrial scenery. Truly, what passed for a five-star hotel in Gaoling, would most likely barely meet even three stars in Ba Sing Se or Caldera. "Why did we decide to come here again?" she groused petulantly.

"Because you were getting sick and tired of the Ba Sing Se winter and wanted to escape somewhere warmer for a few weeks?" Katara reminded her.

"Also, because I didn't make my return to Pai Sho tour to not play tournaments," Yue said sternly. "And we all agreed that I shouldn't wait until April and the Fire Fountain City tournament. So, here we are, and I suggest we all make the best of it."

"I suppose you both make good points," Azula admitted. "I can't wait for that Fire Fountain City event, though."

"Did you get our old suite?" Katara asked eagerly.

"Of course," Azula replied proudly. That suite with rooftop access in their favorite Fire Fountain City hotel held a lot of amazing memories for the three of them, and they were all looking forward to basking in the nostalgia and perhaps reliving some of the old memories.

Azula was very proud of how Yue had played in the Ba Sing Se tournament. Sure, her losses to Zuko and Toph had been very lopsided, but Azula didn't see it as a reason to become discouraged. They had plenty of time to put things right and really zone in on the opponents that Yue was struggling with. What impressed Azula the most about Yue was her mental fortitude. She didn't get down on herself when she suffered a bad loss. Instead, she picked herself right up and got on with things. Yue's level-headedness had always been her greatest asset, and Azula was relieved that it hadn't changed over the years. Both Azula and Katara could sometimes become too emotional when things didn't go their way, with Azula getting angry at herself, and Katara becoming gloomy. Yue just didn't seem to have this kind of emotional instability and most of the time she was as solid as a rock.

Yue's strong play had been noticed by many. Suki's articles in The Harmony Ring, including a couple of post-tournament interviews, had boosted the interest of spectators and their Ba Sing Se estate saw a gradual increase of fan mail. The potential sponsors had also seen more than enough from Yue, and she had signed three sponsorship deals already, and there were likely more to come. Yue's old sponsors, the manufacturers of hair care products, had come back with renewed interest, and she was also being courted by several fashion houses and cosmetics producers. In short, Yue's promising return to competition meant that Azula's wife was now in high demand. It almost felt a little strange to Azula, because these days she was flying somewhat under the radar, together with Katara.

Still, Azula was glad that there was nothing else on her plate these days. After selling the rights to her book to a movie studio for the purposes of producing a full feature film, Azula knew that she would never have to work again during her life, but that didn't mean that she didn't want to work. Azula simply didn't know how to sit idle. And after the conclusion of the Ba Sing Se tournament, there was plenty to do. The event had provided a treasure trove of important information to go through and study, focusing not only on how to improve aspects of Yue's play, but identifying all the latest improvements that Yue's opponents had introduced in their repertoire. It was a lot of work, but Azula was not doing it all on her own. Between the three of them, the past four weeks had flown by quickly in intense preparations.

Azula could see that Yue still missed her job at the academy. While they remained back in Ba Sing Se, Yue made sure to oversee the Pai Sho club at the school, and Azula didn't truly mind her wife taking a couple of hours out of every week for this little side activity that brought her so much joy. The days when they devoted eight to ten hours to practice were long gone, they were no longer teenagers with inexhaustible energy reserves. These days they spent a couple of hours on practice after breakfast and then two to three more hours in the afternoon or evening, and the rest of the time was devoted to distracting relaxations. Azula and Katara would sometimes stay up a little longer than Yue and do some studies of the latest theory crafting, but it didn't happen often. It was important that they all, and especially Yue, got plenty of sleep.

When it came to Katara and her mindset, it had helped to know that the first instance court had thrown out the case by the parents accusing Katara and her hospital of criminal negligence. The parents were apparently unwilling to give up and drop their suit, though. Even so, the hospital administration had felt that this was good enough for them, so they had settled Katara's withheld pay and asked her to return to the fold, but Katara had refused, instead tendering her resignation. The administrators were unwilling to accept it, however, simply because they didn't want to lose the most promising and already one of their best surgeons, so for now things were up in the air because Katara did not intend to return to work. She was completely focused on helping Yue on this quest to become the world champion, and she wasn't going to let anything distract her from it, not even her own personal calling. Azula felt that there was a little more to it, though. Even if Katara had been cleared of all charges by the inquiry, Azula feared that her wife had lost confidence in her own abilities and on some level still blamed herself for not having gone above and beyond the call of duty.

"So," Yue spoke up after they'd kept silent for a while. "Do I have expectations to win this tournament, and anything else will be considered a failure?"

"I think another podium finish would be great," Katara smiled. "Toph is usually close to unbeatable on her home turf. And let's not forget that Piandao is the reigning world champion. I feel like even with three world titles, which is an incredible achievement in itself, the man just doesn't seem to get the respect that he deserves."

"Yes, this year Gaoling has a far more stacked lineup than any other year," Azula admitted. "I think it's because Kyoshi Island canceled their March event. That's why nearly all the top players are here. And I agree with Kat, another podium would be excellent."

"Well, I'll try to outdo your modest expectations," Yue winked at her.

"Careful, we don't want you to peak too soon," Azula shook her head.

Katara and Yue both burst into laughter. Azula raised an eyebrow at them. "Come on, Zula, how could you not notice that it sounded so sexual," Katara grinned.

"Ugh, get your mind out of the gutter, Enuaraq," Azula tried to glare, but ended up grinning. "What I meant to say is that we don't want everyone to be gunning for you from the start, Yue. Even if it seems that Zuko and Toph are already doing that. And Aang as well, I guess. He's just being dreadful about it."

"Well, it's a good thing that Zuko and Aang aren't here, then," Yue shrugged.

"I'm guessing they are preparing for the Fire Fountain City," Katara said thoughtfully. "I have a feeling everyone will be there."

"Yue already has her invite, it's been sorted," Azula nodded. "Unfortunately, I heard from one of my old contacts that Zhao Sakamoto also has an invite."

"Ugh, I hate that," Katara scowled. "Maybe we should reconsider doing something to have him removed from the tour."

"No, please, let's not," Yue shook her head. "Don't deny me the opportunity to destroy him at the Pai Sho board. It will feel so satisfying. Besides, he's not even someone I dislike the most on the tour. I think that dubious honor goes to my opponent in the first round tomorrow."

"Hahn Adjuk," Katara hissed. "Don't remind me."

Azula also frowned at the thought of Yue facing her abusive ex-husband. It was annoying that Hahn was still a part of the pro tour. Given his terrible results during the first few years as a pro, Azula had expected him to retire from the pro game, but for some reason Hahn had stuck around. With many great players retiring and with Hahn making some small improvements to his game, he had actually managed to become a top twenty player, against all odds. Azula did not expect that Hahn would pose any difficulties for Yue tomorrow, but she still didn't like the idea of her wife experiencing the emotional discomfort of facing her former abuser.

"Look, I love the protectiveness, but it's like you're madder at Hahn than I am these days," Yue laughed, shaking her head. "It happened twelve years ago. I'm sure Hahn is still a complete prat, you can tell it by the way he always acts like a rich playboy, but I don't fear him anymore. I am putting myself above all that."

"I'm glad you're able to do that, but I will always hate the guts of anyone who hurt you, twelve or twenty-two years ago," Katara said stiffly.

"I'm with Katara," Azula nodded earnestly. Hahn was and always would remain on her eternal shit list, it was not debatable.

"Aww, I have the sweetest and most protective wives in the whole world," Yue cooed happily. "But I'm still not going after Hahn with a baseball bat. You'll have to be satisfied with me destroying him at the Pai Sho board tomorrow."

"That's good enough, love," Katara smiled, with Azula nodding in agreement. "That's more than good enough."

"That move was the equivalent of a baseball bat to the face," Azula grinned wickedly as together with Katara, they sat in the half-empty stands, observing the matches of the first round taking place in the slightly shabby looking local sports arena. Yue had just delivered another nasty blow to Hahn's defenses, forking his Jasmine and Rose tiles and forcing him to give up one of the tiles.

"Well, Hahn certainly looks like he's been punched," Katara smiled. She was disappointed to see that so few spectators were attending the event, because the lineup of competitors was certainly better than what the Pai Sho fans of Gaoling were usually treated to. Unfortunately, the tournament organizers had realized that as well, and they had accordingly jacked up the prices for admittance in a move that had clearly backfired on them. It was no wonder that Gaoling had a reputation for being a strange and backward place.

"He should just give up already," Azula sighed, shaking her head. "Now he's just being an asshole and wasting Yue's time."

"Yes, there's no path even to a draw for him," Katara nodded in agreement. "At least Yue has On Ji tomorrow, so it shouldn't really matter if this game lasts a few moves more than it should."

"Oh, don't say that, love," Azula shook her head. "You know as well as I do that On Ji isn't the kind of pushover she was when we retired. No complacency allowed."

"Oh, I know that," Katara spoke quickly. "I just meant that On Ji is still no Toph or Piandao, not that we should take her lightly. Case in point, On Ji really crushed Nutha there."

"Yes, as I was saying," Azula frowned. "Annoying that all the favorites appear to be winning. Usually at least someone gets caught out at the start."

"Agreed, and Toph looks to be in a worryingly good shape," Katara remarked, glancing at the display board showing the situation in Toph's game with Haru. Haru had tried a very optimistic attacking plan involving a couple of tile sacrifices he had probably thought very creative. Toph now had Haru trapped between a rock and a hard place, toying with her opponent before squishing the life out of him.

"Well, she does have a big advantage of staying at her family estate," Azula shrugged. "It's so much more relaxing to be in a familiar setting. Hotels are always a little bit stressful, at least for me."

"I agree, but I don't think the hotel stresses Yue all that much," Katara smiled. "And I don't know… do you think Toph is actually happy staying at the estate of her parents? Even if they've become more accepting of Teo over the years."

"I have no idea," Azula shrugged. "You know that it's not something Toph will ever talk about, at least not with us. But she's going to inherit that estate one day, so she better appreciate it."

"I guess," Katara said uncertainly. "I wish Toph would tell us more about her situation. She's always so annoyingly secretive about everything."

"You'd have better luck prying something out of Teo," Azula smirked. "My advice would be to stop being so damn curious about the lives of our friends, Kat. You don't have to know everything."

"Oh, great advice," Katara rolled her eyes. "Of course, I have to know everything." Lao Beifong's house arrest had expired a few months ago, but the restrictions such as forbidding him from assuming political office or board membership in any state-run business were still in place. Katara was extremely curious to know what Toph's father was up to these days, and how him no longer being under house arrest had changed their relationship, but as Azula had correctly pointed out, Toph wasn't someone to gossip about her family. Especially now when she occasionally behaved as if Katara, Azula and Yue were almost in an enemy camp.

One by one, the games of the first round were starting to come to an end. Piandao and On Ji were the first to end their matches, but Yue, Toph, Jeong-Jeong and even Joo Dee were also close to scoring opening round victories. It seemed as if Katara and Azula could soon be on their way to pick up Yue and then try to find something entertaining to do in this economically depressed backwater of the Earth Kingdom.

"It shouldn't take long now, am I right?" a woman in a dark leather trench coat and heart-shaped sunglasses asked, suddenly sitting down next to Azula.

"No, it should all be over soon…" Katara was the one to reply, deciding not to snap at the rude interruption. She let out a soft gasp as soon as she turned to face the new arrival. "Wait… Mai, is that you?" Katara blinked in surprise.

"Good to see you too. Now, please don't make a big deal out of this," Mai, for it was her, replied.

"Did you know about this?" Katara turned towards Azula, but the stunned look on Azula's face was all the answer she needed. Azula looked incapable of speech. "Whoa, this is big, Mai!" Katara suddenly realized. "You're here with Suki!"

"Oh, please," Mai snorted. "I'm here on business. My spring collection-"

"Bullshit," Azula snapped, suddenly regaining her ability to speak. "These burlap sack wearing hillbillies would not care for your spring collection. You're totally here with Suki, Mai. Don't even bother."

"Perhaps I simply needed a vacation from Ba Sing Se," Mai sighed. "It doesn't help that Aang has been asking whether I really don't want to give it one more good try. I guess someone must have told him about what happened at the Winter Solstice party."

"Or it could be the fact that you've been seeing Suki since," Katara grinned. "Come on, Mai, don't be daft. You know that Ty Lee can't keep a secret if her life depended on it."

"I'd kill her if I didn't love her so much," Mai groaned. "Alright, fine. Couple of weeks ago, Suki stayed the night at my apartment. As luck would have it, Aang showed up in the morning. He didn't get mad about catching us together, but things just felt really weird. After that, Suki said that we should go someplace where there would be no interruptions. I wasn't certain about it, but Ty Lee kind of convinced me that I needed this."

"Why don't you just get a divorce, you idiot?" Azula sighed.

"Because it's just so… ugh, I don't know," Mai muttered miserably. "I'm worried that Aang might not agree to mutual termination. And I don't want things to blow up in a scandal."

"I'll have a talk with Aang about this," Katara decided. "I don't believe he wants to hold you hostage in this relationship when you've been effectively separated for months."

"There she goes, butting into the lives of others once again," Azula sighed.

"Hey, it's for the greater good," Katara protested.

"Keep telling yourself that," Azula smirked. "Anyway, I never thought that party hookup would become something so serious, Mai. I'm very surprised."

"Who said it was serious?" Mai shrugged. "Maybe we just have a lot of fun in the bed. Neither of us wants anything serious at this point."

"You may want it or not, but I'm pretty sure the signs say that it's serious," Azula said knowingly.

"What do you know?" Mai snorted. "You used to need complicated diagrams to have basic human interaction based on emotions explained to you."

"Shut up, bitch," Azula punched Mai's shoulder. "The reason I know that you're into Suki for real is that you came to Gaoling for her. Gaoling. The dumpster of the Earth Kingdom."

"I think Azula is onto something there, Mai," Katara grinned.

"Well, shit," Mai groaned. "I can't come up with an argument against that."

"Are you staying for the entire duration of the tournament?" Katara asked.

"No, I'm here for a little more than a week," Mai replied.

"Well, in that case, we should do something together, the three of us with you and Suki," Katara decided. "Let's figure out something fun for one of the off days. I'm sure that you and Suki can't be all over each other the whole time."

"She's not going to drop this, is she?" Mai spoke forlornly, looking at Azula.

"Of course not," Azula grinned broadly. "So, you might as well just do as Katara says. I learned that lesson a long time ago…"

I was dreaming of the past
And my heart was beating fast
I began to lose control
I began to lose control

I didn't mean to hurt you
I'm sorry that I made you cry
I didn't want to hurt you
I'm just a jealous guy

"Ugh," Jet Patel grunted, reaching out to press the stop button of the stereo system behind the bar counter of The Last Straw pub. A week after the official opening of their pub, they seemed to be having their first slow night. Most of the patrons didn't even react to the music cutting out, continuing to chug back their drinks and converse among themselves. With no attractive ladies in attendance, Jet was in no mood for maudlin romantic songs playing and bringing down his otherwise good mood.

"What's with the long face?" Bee asked, hopping onto a seat at the bar counter and giving him a piercing stare. "Let me guess, you're depressed because for the first time since the opening, you don't have an arm candy ready to be taken back to your apartment. Oh no, the sky is falling," Smellerbee laughed.

"Well, it is a tragedy," Jet winked at his old friend. Having copious amounts of sex was Jet's way of getting over Suki. With Suki stubbornly hanging up on him every time Jet felt brave enough to call her, it was finally starting to work. "Maybe I am being too dramatic. After all, a literal goddess might walk in through these doors at any moment."

"At quarter past eleven on a Monday evening?" Bee shook her head. "Dream on, lover boy. Goddesses have better things to do on Monday evenings. I'm afraid it'll just be you and your hand, a box of tissues and the copy of Yu Dao's Best Boobs."

"Damn, you're not mincing words tonight, Bee," Jet snorted. Longshot had also walked up to them, looking amused at the exchange. "So, how are we looking for the evening?" Jet turned to Longshot. "Let me guess, first time in the red?" Longshot shook his head, gesturing back. "Oh damn, even on a slow night? That's really good. I'm starting to see promise in this place."

"Told you," Smellerbee nodded. "Property was cheap and the economy is starting to thrive. This is the best time and place to start a business. More and more people are rolling into the city every week, and there's still shortage of workers for all the building projects that Kori is getting off the ground."

Longshot signed something. "Yes, I guess Madame Governor has been doing a good job," Jet said. He then turned to switch on the large TV behind the counter. News reel showing Governor Kori Morishita cutting the tape to open a match factory popped up on the screen. "Speak of the devil," Jet snorted. Longshot made another gesture. Jet burst into laughter, hi-fiving his old friend.

"Ugh, you two are such pigs," Smellerbee groaned. "I honestly don't know what anyone sees in that skank. I hated her during the war and I still hate her now." Longshot shook his head and signed at her. "I'm not fucking jealous!" Bee protested.

"Come on, Bee, even if you're not jealous, you're also not blind," Jet smirked. "Madame Governor is an incredibly attractive lady. Also, just look at her, that power, that confidence in every step. To possess that is a powerful fantasy for a lot of guys."

"Oh, whatever," Bee rolled her eyes. "You already porked her once during the war. Or at least I think it was once." Longshot signed again. "Seriously?" Bee groaned. "Sometimes I think your ancestors were rabbits, Jet."

"Hey, Kori thought she was going to die. You can't blame her for having a lot of excess adrenaline. It had to be worked off somehow," Jet grinned. "One of the best nights of my life, definitely."

"Whatever, can we talk about something else now?" Bee sighed. "Also, switch the channels, please. Or just put on more MASH re-reruns."

"Gladly, more MASH it is," Jet nodded, happy to oblige. MASH was the favorite TV show among their group of friends, at times a disturbingly black comedy about a surgical hospital during the times of a fictional war, which obviously was directly based on the conflict for Yu Dao. It was a big hit with the war vets that were quickly becoming regulars at The Last Straw, but Jet made sure not to play it when he noticed young and attractive ladies among the patrons, because they rarely seemed to appreciate the bleak dramedy.

Through early morning fog I see
Visions of the things to be
The pains that are withheld for me
I realize and I can see

That suicide is painless
It brings on many changes
And I can take or leave it
If I please

"Well," Jet grinned as the show's theme song began to play. "Time for something uplifting, I guess."

"That was amazing!" Yue exclaimed as the group of five women left the only Gaoling movie theater that hadn't looked too dirty and shady for them to enter. They had just watched Raiders of the Lost Ark, the new popular adventure movie that was taking the Earth Kingdom by a storm.

"I suppose it wasn't completely terrible," Mai yawned.

"Are you kidding me?" Katara said heatedly, giving Mai an incredulous stare, as if she had forgotten who she was talking to. "That was the best movie I've seen in years. Besides," Katara added, giving Azula a pointed stare. "I'm just relieved we didn't get lured into another horror movie."

"I'm sure I'll get you again soon enough," Azula smirked knowingly.

"Not when the movie you tried to get us to watch is called The Evil Dead," Yue laughed. "That's pretty unambiguous, Zula."

"I want to see that one too," Suki spoke up. "I hear it's really good."

"Yes, they really crank the gory kills up to a new level," Mai nodded, almost looking excited.

"What is wrong with all of you?" Katara sighed. "How can you be so obsessed with those awful movies? It's like Yue is the only person in the world that makes sense."

"I don't remember you complaining when I held you through that Halloween movie," Azula remarked with a knowing grin.

"Ugh, whatever," Katara snapped hastily, her reaction making Yue chuckle. "Let's just go and grab something to eat. I need something more than just popcorn."

Less than an hour later, they were sat in a restaurant that boasted about specializing in the Fire Nation cuisine, so Azula had immediately decided that it was more trustworthy than the usual Gaoling eateries. While waiting for their order, Yue listened in on the conversation of her friends at the table, although in truth her thoughts were on the tournament, her play so far and tomorrow's game against Joo Dee, something that she did not intend to take lightly because Joo Dee had actually shocked everyone by opening the tournament with four wins in a row. She had then been brought back down to earth with two straight losses, but still, Yue knew that she would have to be extremely careful.

Yue was reasonably happy with her play so far. She had scored three wins and three draws, while incurring no losses. The draws were against strong players like Haru, Jeong-Jeong and Piandao, so it wasn't as if she had dropped points to some weaker players. The rest of Yue's schedule was fairly easy, with the exception of still having to face Toph, but Yue felt confident that the goal to finish on the podium was very much attainable.

Toph was leading the tournament as expected, with five wins and a draw, a near perfect record. Of course, Yue still had a chance to overtake Toph and score the tournament win herself, but Yue just didn't feel confident enough about her chances, at least not yet. Whatever it was about being back at Gaoling, but Toph was simply in such a great form that she projected an aura of invincibility. Perhaps it was something about staying at the estate she had grown up at that helped with her focus, or maybe it was her parents actually for once being in the stands and watching their daughter play that was giving Toph a boost to pull away from the competition. Whatever it was, it was clearly working for Toph.

Yue was tied for the second place with Piandao. The reigning world champion was once again there or there about, ready to pounce if the current leader faltered. All of Piandao's world titles had come as a result of surprising last moment surges, so Yue knew better than to write off the wily veteran.

Joo Dee and On Ji Takeda were trailing Yue and Piandao by half a point. They were the surprise performers of the tournament so far. Yue was certain that both Joo Dee and On Ji would run out of steam soon, though, and in Joo Dee's case it was happening already.

Then there were some pre-tournament favorites who were really underperforming. Jeong-Jeong was way off the pace with three points out of six, and Haru Tamang was a further half a point behind. Haru was in danger of being overtaken even by someone like Hahn, Yue's abusive ex-husband back on two points out of six. At least Hahn hadn't been making any annoying comments to frustrate Yue and disrupt her focus. Yue had a lot of confidence in her mental fortitude, but Hahn could probably get under her skin if he really tried. Yue had filed for divorce before even turning nineteen, which was almost twelve years ago. She didn't really want to rehash these old events with Hahn. All she wanted was for it to be water under the bridge, even if that meant letting Hahn off way easier than he deserved it.

In any case, the tournament had been progressing well, and it was all to play for in the five final rounds. Yue felt confident about finishing on the podium, and it helped that her wives had all the faith in the world in her, further strengthening Yue's resolve to succeed.

"So, your flight is tomorrow, Mai?" Yue was broken out of her reverie when Katara spoke up a while later as they were still waiting for their orders. "Any exciting future plans for Mai and Suki?" Katara asked curiously.

"Azula, have you ever been told that one of your wives is incredibly nosy?" Mai asked.

"No, I've been told that both of my wives are rather nosy," Azula grinned, making Yue and Katara immediately grab their forks and make stabbing gestures at her.

"We'll probably keep going out," Suki decided to actually answer the question. "And hopefully nothing will happen to make it weird for us," she added, probably referring to Aang and the unresolved issue of Mai's divorce.

"Mai, I wish you and Aang would just sit down and talk things out like normal adults, so that we can all go back to being friends again," Katara sighed.

"You just won't quit until everything is neatly wrapped up like a birthday gift, am I right?" Mai smirked. "Real life isn't always something you can arrange so perfectly."

"I suppose," Katara frowned. "Maybe it's the surgeon in me speaking. In my line of work, I have to wrap everything up neatly and perfectly. If you were on the operating table, you wouldn't want me to leave behind a mess, right?"

"Right," Mai nodded. "That's why when I need my appendix removed, I'll be happy to let you do it. When I need relationship advice? Maybe I'll pass."

"But we're friends, Mai," Katara insisted. "And I clearly know something about being in a relationship," she smiled at both Azula and Yue. "Because let me tell you, these two can be quite the handful at times."

"Katara, you make a good point, but don't press Mai on this," Azula said in a tone that Yue had come to recognize as a mild warning. "She figures these things out on her own. That's just how it has to be." Yue could see Katara's eyes meeting Azula's, and after that, Katara simply nodded in acceptance, remaining silent.

"Well, I just hope that things work out for you two, regardless of what you end up wanting to have, casual or serious," Yue smiled. "Also, Suki, you're probably being sent to the Fire Fountain City in April as well, am I right?" Suki nodded at that. "Well, maybe we'll see you there as well," Yue looked at Mai.

"You most certainly will," Mai nodded. "I actually have to spend most of April in the Fire Nation. It's a real business trip, unlike this pretend one," she added with a smirk. "Most of my clients are in Caldera, but I'll be sure to pop over to Shuhon Island for at least a few days."

"We're going to have a lot of fun on Shuhon Island," Yue grinned, already looking forward to once again staying at that lovely rooftop hotel suite. "There's so much more to do than here in Gaoling. We've even stopped going out on the evenings of the match days. A quick stop at the hotel's restaurant and back to our suite, as boring as that might sound."

"Yes, and then they torture me through the rest of the evening by watching Mrs. Columbo," Azula groaned. "What a travesty that show is. The greatest detective show of all time cursed by the worst spinoff series of all time."

"Hey, we already explained it to you, Zula, it's a hate watch for Yue and me," Katara laughed. "Obviously, Cagney and Lacey are where it's at these days."

"You two have horrible taste," Azula sighed dramatically.

"Oh, then how does that explain that we chose to be in a relationship with you?" Yue asked, giving Azula a pointed stare. Azula could only blush, left with no response to that.
