Two Blue Lines Change Everything-Ch 15
After the girls enjoyed their lunch they paid the bill and headed toward the door, Penelope said, "thanks for today girlies, I had an amazing time", Desi said, "so did we Penelope, so did we", they walked out onto the sidewalk and headed toward their waiting vehicle so that they could head back to casa Rossi to spend some time together before heading home to do their own things.
Kevin stood in the shadows watching as Penelope climbed into the front seat beside JJ, she looked so beautiful, she had that pregnancy glow about her and to think that the baby growing inside her might just be his was making him more and more excited to marry her and make her his wife, that way nobody, not even Derek Morgan could take her away.
As he watched them pull away he said, "soon Penelope, soon you'll be mine, they can't be with you all of the time", once they disappeared out of sight he walked out and got into his car and headed home, he still had a few more plans to make, he had plenty of time but get everything ready and when the team was gone on a case that was when he would make his move, that is when he would take her and make her his.
When the women walked through the front door at casa Rossi two little boys and two barking dogs met them, Penelope smiled down and said, "hello there, how are you?", Henry said, "fineeeeee", she said, "that's good to hear buddy", she then said, "was your uncle Derek a good boy while I was gone?", Jack and Henry smiled and said, "uh huh" causing Penelope to laugh.
Derek walked over and hugged her and said, "well might I say that you beautiful ladies all look relaxed, so I take it you had a good day?", Penelope said, "we had a wonderful day", Fran said, "we really need to do that more often", Penelope said, "you won't get any complaints from me", JJ, Emily, Sarah and Desi said, "me either" in unison ad the all looked at each other and laughed.
Dave said, "kitten we need to talk to you about something", she could tell by the look on his face that the something they needed to discuss was serious so she nodded her head yes and put her purse down on the table before walking over to the living room and sitting down on the couch so they could have their talk.
Penelope looked around the room at the men of her family/team and said, "okay, what's up?", Dave said, "we need to tell you a few things that we discussed while you ladies were gone", she nodded her head and said, "okay", they then filled her in on everything that they had talked about from the extra security for her and the baby, right down to her going with them on their cases if Kevin caused any problems.
She agreed with everything and then Derek put his hand on hers and said, "baby girl maybe you should stay either here with ma or with me for a while that way you wouldn't be alone", she said, "I know that you're worried about me but so far other than his crappy attitude and calling me names yesterday he hasn't really done anything".
Derek said, "but we just want to keep you safe", Penelope smiled at him and said, "I know that and if he does anything I promise that I will either stay here with your mom and Dave or move in with you until things are situated, okay?", he said, "I'll hold you to that", she sighed happily as she laid her head down on his shoulder and said, "good, I want you too" causing Derek to smile lovingly as he kissed her on the top of the head.
Across town in an unknown location Kevin smiles as he fastens the last of the chains to the wall, he said, "there, now, I have everything taken care of now all that's left is to catch Penelope alone and make my move and when I do they won't know what hit them and not even Derek and your precious team can stop me Penelope", he then laughed evilly and said, "now to get the food stored away and then head home to wait, wait to get my chance and then it's on".
