Two Blue Lines Change Everything-Ch 24
As the family celebration continued the family, laughed, ate, talked and danced, they were having an amazing time, everything other than their little family was all but forgotten right now because they wanted to celebrate the love and romance of the day with the new husband and wife, Derek and Penelope Morgan.
Derek had danced with his mom, sisters, JJ and Emily before making his way back to his beautiful wife, while, Penelope danced with Dave, Hotch, Reid, Henry and Jack before making her way back to her hotstuff, soon it was time for the newlyweds to cut the cake, Penelo[e smiled at Fran and said, "this cake is so beautiful Fran, I can't believe that you did this in only a couple of hours".
Fran said, "well it's not everyday that my baby boy gets married and i wanted today to be as special as it could possibly be", Penelope hugged her and said, "thank you Fran", she looked around the room at all of her family and said, "thank you all so much, I can't tell you how much you all mean to Derek and I and i want to thank you for everything you did to help us throw this wediding together on such short notice".
Desi said, "there isn't anything that we can't do when we all pull together Penelope", Sarah said,"that's right, family sticks together and helps each other, that's just the way it is and you are carrying my niece or nephew soooooo you are our priority", Penellope smiled and hugged everybody before making her way back to stand beside her husband.
Fran handed them a knife, they stepped closer to the table and raised the knife, they slid it through the layer of cake and cut a piece out and put it in the plate, everybody waited to see if they would feed each other or smear it all over each others faces, sooooo they did both, first they shared a bite and then smeared it all over each others faces.
The family laughed as they licked and kissed the remaining cake and icing off of each others faces, Reid laughed and shook his head as he watched his friends, they were so happy and so in love and he was glad that he was there to get to share in their happiness, the happiness that for a while looked unattainable for them.
Derek and Penelope shared one final dance together before hugging their family and thanking them again for everything they had done to make the day possible before climbing into Derek's truck and heading home, where the wedding was such short notice they only had one night before they had to head back to work.
The happy couple had decided that they would do their honeymoon at a later date because of their busy work schedules, the only thing that mattered to them was that they were married, they were now legally husband and wife and nothing or nobody could ever or would ever change that.
Fran, Dave and the others chased after the newlyweds tossing bird seed at them as headed toward Derek's truck, they then stood watching, smiling and waving as the truck started up and headed down the long driveway and disappeared out of sight around the curve before heading back inside the house.
As their truck disappeared out of sight Fran smiled and said, "congratulations again baby boy and I wish you nothing but happiness with Penelope", she then sighed and intertwined her fingers with Dave's as they headed back toward the mansion with the others.
