Two Blue Lines Change Everything-Ch 33
The next morning Penelope woke up to a gorgeous sight, she woke up looking a sleeping Derek Morgan in the face, she took her hand and gently caressed his cheek, she then leaned in and kissed his lips, his eyes opened and wrapped his arms around her, she needed this, she needed him, she needed more and she needed it now.
Penelope sidle her tongue inside his mouth as she deepened the kiss, Penelope moaned against his lips as the kiss deepened even more, ohhh the feeling of his lips on hers, the feeling of being his wife, of knowing that they would be together for the rest of their lives only added to the romance of the moment.
They were so wrapped up in each other that they didn't hear the knock on the door, they pulled apart a few seconds later as the doctor cleared her throat and walked into the room, Penelope blushed and the doctor said, "well it's good to see that you are doing better today Penelope, how did you sleep last night?", she said, "I slept amazingly, I got a full nights sleep wrapped in my husbands loving arms".
Derek said, "so how is everything with my wife?", the doctor checked her vitals and her chart and said, "she has been doing good, her vitals are staying stable and she's no longer showing any signs of miscarriage", Penelope blew out a deep breath and said, "oh thank heavens for that" as her free hand slid down to cover her stomach protectively.
She then looked up at the doctor and said, "so what's on the agenda for me today?", the doctor said, "I will continue to do blood work every 8 hours to keep a close eye on all of your hormone levels and then we will do an ultrasound tomorrow and then one on Friday and if they are as good as I think they are gonna be I will release you to go home".
They smiled at each other and the doctor said, "but", Penelope said, "I know, I know, I am to be on complete bed rest until you say otherwise", the doctor grinned and nodded her head and said, "correct Penelope, correct", the trio then turned to the door when hey heard somebody knocking.
They turned to see Fran and the others walking into the room, Fran said, "so how is the patient today?", the doctor said, "she's doing great, she's still stable, her vitals were good all night so if she stays stable I'll release her to go home Friday", Fran grinned and said, "ohhh that's wonderful wonderful news".
Dave said, "where we are all FBI agents, she's our analyst, what about work?", Penelope said, "yes, what about work?", everybody watched the doctors face and waited for her response, they didn't have to wait long before they heard her say, "for the time being she isn't to work, she is on bed rest with no, I repeat no stress because stress isn't good for the baby".
Derek nodded his head and said, "I promise that we will keep her stress level as low as possible but it's gonna drive her crazy not getting to work", the doctor looked at Penelope who was nodded her head yes, the doctor then said, "let's wait and see how you're doing on Friday before we even think about you working, okay?", Penelope said, "yes mam", they then watched the doctor grin and turn around and disappear out into the hall.
Fran walked over and handed Penelope a container, she said, "ohhhhhhh is this what I think it is?", as she took a deep breath in, smelling the chocolate aroma floating in the air, Fran nodded her her head and said, "it is, I made some f made some double chocolate muffins this morning and we brought you and Derek some along with some coffee for him and some tea for you" as Dave handed them their cups.
Penelope had taken a few bites of her muffin before asking, "how is Anderson, is he okay?", Reid said, "he's fine, he had a slight concussion, he's here in the hospital, he might get released today", Penelope said, "good, I'm glad that he's okay, I'm so sorry that he got hurt because he was trying to protect me".
Emily said, "don't be, he's not sorry, the first thing he said when he came too was about you, he wanted to know how you were doing?", Penelope smiled and said, "Anderson is a sweetheart isn't he?", Derek said, "hey", she laughed and said, "I said a sweetheart, not my sweetheart, that position is now and will always belong to you".
Derek smiled and brushed his lips gently against hers before the couple then continued eating their muffins and enjoying their delicious coffee and tea
