Two Blue Lines Change Everything-Ch 34
The next day went by great, well that was until the team was notified to meet back at the BAU for briefing on another case, Derek didn't want to go but he knew that the team needed him. He had arranged for his mom and sisters to spend time with his baby girl, she wasn't alone, the trio of Morgan women spent the afternoon with the newest Morgan before Fran and Sarah headed home leaving Desi with her sister-in-law.
Penelope looked at the younger woman and said, "you don't have to stay Desi, I know that you probably have plans", Desi shook her head and said, "the only plans that I have is spending the night here with you Mrs. Thang so cool your jets", seconds later they both burst out laughing.
They shared a pizza that Desi had ordered and had delivered, they got permission from her doctor first, she had said that she didn't care what Penelope ate just as long as she ate. Desi sighed as she looked at her sister-in-law, she then said, "sooooooo have you and big brother picked out any names yet?", she swallowed her bit of pizza and nodded her head yes.
Desi listened as Penelope told her a few of the names, Desi said, "ohhhh I love that name, Jasmine is such a beautiful name and just think, you could call her Jazzy", Penelope said, "ohhhh I like that, I like that", the two of them then spent the rest of the evening watching movies on tv until they both fell asleep.
The next morning Penelope was to have her final ultrasound and if it came back good like all of the others she would be released to head home to Casa Rossi, Desi sat looking at the screen, she didn't really know what she was seeing until the doctor pointed at the small blip on the screen and said, "there is the baby, see?", Desi said, "wow, it's tiny?", the doctor looked at the screen and then back at Desi and said, "he or she is the right size for this time of the pregnancy".
Penelope looked at the screen and said, "can I get a copy of that please?", the doctor grinned and said, "how about I give you a few, that way you can have one, your husband can have one and your sister in law here can have one, that is if she wants one?", Desi said, "I'd love to have one, are you sure it's okay?", the doctor grinned and said, "I'm positive" as she then started burning copies of the latest ultrasound.
When she was finished she looked at Penelope and said, "everything is stable so i'll let you go home but", Penelope said, "I know, I know, no stress and no work, well at least for now", Desi said, "don't worry doc, we'll watch her and not let her do anything, my mom is a nurse so she knows what to look for and she won't let Penelope do anything that will endanger her or the baby".
After handing them their copies of the ultrasound she then handed Penelope her release papers and started toward the door, she grinned as she saw Fran walking into the room, Penelope said, "you timed it perfectly Fran, I can go home, I've been released", Desi turned to look at her mom and said, "she's still on bed rest, well at least for a while".
Fran said, "here you go sweetie, here are some clothes, I knew that you would be coming home today so I brought you a change of clothes to wear back to our place", Desi said, "what about Clooney?", Penellope looked up and grinned as Fran said, "Sarah already picked him up, he's already at the house with Mudgie".
Penelope looked at Fran as she said, "do you need any help honey?", Penelope said, "I don't think so" as she slowly headed across the room and disappeared into the bathroom, when the door was closed Fran said, "soooo how was the ultrasound?", Desi handed her a copy and said, "here ya go grandma, here is your grandson or granddaughter" as she slipped the photo into her mothers hand.
A few minutes later Penelope walked out of the bathroom and said, "I'm ready to head out when you guys are", Fran said, "I'll go let the nurses know that you're ready to go", Penelope said, "I can just walk", Fran shook her head no and siad, "ohhhh no you don't, there will be no unnecessary walking until the doctor gives you the all clear", Penelope sighed and nodded her head yes as she watched Fran walk out of the room.
Desi smiled at Penelope and said, "dn't worry, soon you'll be able to get back to your normal routine", Penelope's hand slide down to cover her stomach she said, "it's okay, I'll do whatever it takes to keep this little one safe", they looked up at see Fran and a nurse walk into the room with a wheelchair
She sat down in the wheelchair and smiled as a few minutes later she was climbing into the front seat of Fran's car, as they pulled away from the hospital she sighed happily and closed her eyes, she was free of the hospital and now she would get to relax with Fran and the girls until the team got back and spending time with the Morgan women was just what the doctor ordered.
