Two Blue Lines Change Everything-Ch 45
At the hospital a little while later Derek and Penelope look up from their son to see their family walking into the room, they were all smiles as they made their way over to the little family of three, they couldn't wait to get a better look at the newest member of their family.
Fran said, "ohhhhh he's gorgeous", Penelope said, "I would have to agree with you on that one Fran, he's a mini chocolate drop off of my God of chocolate thunder here" as she pointed her head at her husband sitting beside her on the bed.
Derek looked around and noticed that two members of their family wasn't there, he then looked up at Emily and said, "were are pretty boy and JJ?", as Emily opened her mouth to speak Reid and JJ walked through the door smiling.
Reid said, "here we are, sorry that we're a little late but we needed to stop off and see somebody before coming here to see Penelope and the baby", Derek said, "not a problem pretty boy, not a problem at all" as he watched the two newcomers walking closer to the bed to get a good glimpse of the baby boy in Penelope's arms.
Sarah said, "awwww, just look at that chubby little cheeks, I could just squeezed them" as she reached out and touched her nephews cheeks while he peacefully slept in his mothers loving arms after having a rough entrance into the world and almost 6 weeks early no less.
Dave said, "sooooo what's my grandson's name?", Fran looked at her son and daughter-in-law and said, "I was wondering the same thing", the rest of the team nodded their heads yes in agreement because they were all wondering what name they had decided on after the baby was born.
Penelope looked up at her family and said, "everybody we would like for you to meet Hank Spencer Morgan", Derek said, "Hank after my pops and Spencer after the best little brother any man could ever ask for", Penelope said, "there is nobody else out there like our boy wonder, he's one of a kind".
Everybody started laughing when Dave said, "you said a mouth full there kitten and that's for sure", Reid just grinned at his family and shook his head. Penelope looked at Fran and said, "would you like to hold your grandson?", she said, "I have been waiting for this, yes, yes, yes, let me have that little angel".
Derek stood up and handed the sleeping newborn to his grandma and sat back down beside his wife as Fran kissed the little boy on the forehead and said ,"hello there Hank, I'm your grandma and I'm gonna spoil you rotten, yes I am" as she gently rocked him back and forth in her arms.
Hotch said, "Reid, where did you and JJ go?", Reid said, "welllllllll", Emily laughed and said, "I can tell you where they went, I bet they went to tell Kevin that he wasn't the father of the baby but that Morgan was", JJ smiled and said, "that we did and might I say we took greatttttt pleasure in doing so too".
Reid said, "that we did Jayje, that we did", Penelope said, "I can't tell you how relieved I am to know that Hank belongs to Derek because I don't know what I would have done if he'd been Kevin's", she shuddered and said ,"I don't even want to think about that", Derek wrapped his arm around her and kissed the top of her head.
Derek and Penelope then spent the next hour or two watching as Hank got passed around from family member to family member as they all got the chance to bond a little with the newest member of the ever growing family.
One Chapter Left
