Mount Nantai
Playing his video game in a school building, Big Man is humming in his tune as chills are coming down his back to his tail.
"Hello, traitor." A familiar voice has Big Man tensed up, only to have encountered his former ally.
"AYYYY! (FUUKA!?) Ay! AY! (I'm sorry! I didn't tell you anything! I can explain!)" Big Man bows as he apologises.
"Then explain or I'll have manta ray testicles hanging on my Christmas tree!" Shiver growls by pulling out a pocket knife at Big Man's head.
"Ay! (I found their hideout!)"
"Excuse me?"
"Ay. (That's right.) Ay. (It used to be a school for ancients, but was now used as the New Squidbeak Splatoon's new base.) Ay! (I was faking my kindness for them so I can gather information for you!)" Big Man explains his side of the story.
Shiver stops, only to see Big Man doing something useful for once which makes her grinning like an idiot.
"Mantaro. I never thought I'd say this, but you make me proud. So you got their information, right?" Shiver asks.
"Ay. (Yes.)" Big Man hands out sunken scrolls and information for those in the New Squidbeak Splatoon.
"Ufufu… Ahaha, AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Looks like we hit the jackpot! Now those little inksquirts are facing their demise!" Shiver cackled and then put all the info in a spare bag in order to leg it and leave with Big Man.
Finally, they left without Dedf1sh knowing what's going on behind the scenes.
Inkadia, Houzuki Manor
In this foggy garden is nothing but green ink all over the building and garden.
An Octo Roller is left in pieces with Callie lying on the ground and her glasses are smashed to pieces.
Grunting, Mirai picks herself up as her right arm is no longer yellow, but magenta again.
"Mmn… Huh? Hotaru? Everyone?" Mirai turns around and then stands up feeling jelly on her legs.
Appearing from behind, Pearl, Marina and Cap'n Cuttlefish gasp after witnessing a world of green ink in Pearl's back garden.
Pearl starts to pick up Hachi as Marina picks up Serika, then Cap'n Cuttlefish lifts Marie up as Marie groans.
"Hotaru…"
"It's okay, gramps… Aori? Where is she?" Marie murmurs before fully opening her eyes.
"I don't know." Cap'n Cuttlefish turns his head left and right to see where Callie was but was coming across a destroyed Octobot King II.
It's a garden of bodies that are heavily injured and the only one awake was Mirai herself.
"Pearl! Marina!" Mirai called while rushing towards the Off the Hook duo.
"Mirai!" Pearl called with surprise.
"Thank goodness you're okay!" Marina cried as she's glad to see her alive.
"What's going on?" Pearl asks.
"A lot has happened." Mirai answers and then grunts in pain while coughing out dark blue blood.
"Mirai!" Marina exclaims with worry.
"Ehehe! I'm okay…" Mirai giggles.
Now Pearl is holding Hachi and Mirai while Mirai is able to stand weakly.
"Mama!" A voice shouted which caught the 5 including Cap'n Cuttlefish and Marie's attention.
The sound is coming from Rei who was holding Callie's unconscious body.
"Mama… Where have you been? Mama Hotaru and I have been looking for you for years!" Rei weeps while dropping her tears onto Callie's face.
Patting Rei's shoulder, Marie went down after letting go of her grandfather and placed her hand onto Callie's face.
"Aori… Welcome back…" Marie whispers and then wipes Rei's tears from her face. "Don't cry. She's back with us."
"Yeah…" Rei nods while sniffling.
Finally, the Atarime family reunited after the struggle they went through.
"Thank you, Mirai…" Marie pulls a warm smile for Mirai after saving Callie.
"Ehehe!" Mirai scratches her head with gratitude.
"What happened to Ryu? Seika? Shiki? Neku?" Rei asked.
"I'm okay…" Neku groans while holding Ryu by the arm.
"Big brother!" Mirai gasps with joy.
"Looks like we won!" Neku laughs.
"Yeah… Ngh…" Ryu chuckles while grunting.
With Ryu's beanie gone, his hairdo is different as it's got longer bangs and his hair looks messy by the right side of his hair and 3 of his tentacles are at the bottom of his hair, making him look different to other inklings.
"Damn it…" Ryu sighs.
"Looking good, Rii." Serika chuckles while waking up.
"Huh. Thanks, Seri." Ryu sighs.
Rei and Mirai laugh together and then Rei pats Mirai's head with a positive smile.
"You can be a part of the family, little sister." Rei smiles as Mirai gasps with joy and her half burn scarred face sparkles with glee.
"T- Thank you, big sister Rei!"
"Huh? Rei, are you sure?" Marie asks with surprise.
"You took care of Mirai after I was gone. I thought maybe we could be together as sisters."
"Also Mirai has nowhere to go. Maybe it's for the best that we leave her to you." Neku sighs, knowing that Mirai wouldn't be able to handle living in an orphanage he lived in.
Marie can see why Mirai is attached to her. Because she took her in after Daigo and will do anything to protect her family.
"Haah… Alright. I guess you're a part of the Atarime family." Marie accepts.
"Thanks, mom!" Mirai cheers which stabs Marie in the chest.
"M- Mom!?" Marie exclaimed.
1 inkling calling her 'mother' is bad enough and now there's 2. Looks like Marie is preparing to go through parenthood by adopting 2 inkling girls.
"Ahem! Well, it looks like I have a lot of explaining to do to Aori."
"You're cod damn right you do! At least my brothers aren't around." Pearl shakes her head while Cap'n Cuttlefish, Marina, Serika, Hachi, Ryu, Neku, Marie, Rei and Mirai laugh together.
Looks like Pearl is about to order some cleanup with her garden being covered in ink.
Even better, they got one of the four thangs.
Outside, the New Squidbeak Splatoon are marching together even 3 motorbikes are being dragged by Rei, Marie and Marina.
The one carrying Callie is Cap'n Cuttlefish.
Sheldon is being carried by Neku.
With the group exhausted and dragging DJ Octavio in his cage of snow globe, DJ Octavio is also unconscious from all the fight he went through.
"Hm? Ah! Fuuka!" Marina shouted.
The group halts as they witness 2 individuals standing on Pearl's mansion roof.
"You!" Rei growled.
"Why are you here!?" Serika snaps.
"Hello, ladies and gentlecephalopods. And I see you're all alive and well. And congratulations on getting a thang." Shiver calls with a false smile and claps her hands with applause.
"Back away, scumbag!" Pearl hissed as her and her allies pointed their weapons at Shiver.
"Oh? Getting aggressive are we? Well, your time is up. Let the judgement begin."
"What are ya talkin' ab- !?" Squelch! Serika was interrupted by something that impaled her through the torso. "Kah! Wh- Wah!?"
"Ay… (Goodnight, sweet princess…)" Big Man appears with a Splatana Wiper that Shiver handed out, leading Serika to reach her arm.
"N- No…" Before Serika reaches her arm…
SPLAT!
She became nothing but blue ink, causing the group to gasp in horror.
"Seri…" Ryu gasps in shock as his eyes widen.
"Seika… No…" Rei pants in fright after witnessing her octoling friend being taken by a traitor known as Big Man.
This caused Hachi to scream in fright, seeing her sister becoming a puddle of blue ink.
"Serika! No! NO!" Marina yells as she sobs.
"You bastard!" Pearl growls as her ink changes from pink to black as Chaos awakens inside her.
"I knew you hooligans are up to no good!" Cap'n Cuttlefish yells, swinging his arm.
"Well done, Big Man." Shiver pulls a slasher smile as she's been waiting for despair to happen.
"Ay! (Aw, thanks, Shiver!)" Big Man rubs his head with praise.
In a split second, Pearl's black ink that looks like a chainsaw was being blocked by Shiver's Splatana Wiper and was attempting to keep on attacking until Shiver gave up and died.
"Aw, don't be like that, Chaos. Your daughter is just like you, a disposable one." Shiver frowns with disgust while protecting Big Man and herself.
"Shut the fuck up! I'll never forgive you! DIE!" Pearl roared.
Then SPLASH! A mix of black and blue ink has Shiver flinching with Big Man protecting her.
"I'll be taking that thang from you, but I'll give you all a reward." Shiver calls.
"And what reward is that, you murderer!?" Mirai yells.
"You, Mirai. Join us as a member of Deep Cut. These fools are no use for you anymore." Shiver chuckles.
Mirai halts and turns towards her friends out of worry.
Even Mirai pitied Hachi for the loss of Serika.
"I'll never join you! You're nothing but freaks and murderers!" Mirai spats.
"Oh? Such a shame. Then join them in their final retribution." Shiver sighs and then creates a large invisible cut all over the ground. "Goodbye, Squidbeak Splatoon."
As she closes the sheath, a ground creates a lot of straight line until a loud rumble is below the group.
"Huh!?" Ryu gasps and then grabs Hachi.
"What the!?" Neku exclaims.
"Wait!" Rei yells while reaching her arm until…
SMASH!
The ones standing are Pearl, Marina, Neku and Sheldon, whereas the rest are falling through a large hole as they scream.
"MIRAI!" Neku screamed as Mirai did the same.
"BIG BROTHER!"
While falling, Rei halts as she can see an Octo Shot right in front of her which is carried by a familiar face.
"Mama Aori?"
Callie is awake, but her expression looks unhinged as if she saw a ghost.
Then…
SPLAT! After Serika, Rei is the next victim in line.
To Marie's horror, she had witnessed her own cousin's pointing at Rei and then shot her without any hesitation.
"Rei!? NOOOOOOOOOO!"
"HOTARU!" Ryu yells until he and Hachi crash into somewhere else as he and Hachi scream together.
"HACHI! 3.4! REI! HOTARUUUUUU!" Even Cap'n Cuttlefish joined in with Ryu and Hachi.
"MOM!" Mirai grabs Marie as she too is separated.
"WAIT! AORI! AORIIIIIII!" Marie and Mirai are gone as well which leaves Callie as she's now falling back to hell that is this dreadful train station.
Then thud.
Back outside Shiver is laughing and Big Man is clapping with joy.
"Oh! How the mighty have fallen to such a foolish end. And the rest of you are still alive. Relax, they're not dead, well apart from Agent 3 and the traitor octoling, yet." Shiver giggles while covering her mouth with a fan.
She can see those outside not moving as Shiver realises that they already lost.
"Hmph. I'll take that. That's three thangs and one more to go. You guys are a bunch of treats to play with. Let's go, Big Man."
"Ay! (Sure thing, Shiver!)" Big Man cheers and then leaves with Shiver as they take one of the four thangs.
With Shiver and Big Man gone, Pearl's fury has gotten so over the top that her eyes are flashing from light golden to fiery orange as her eyes constantly flashing which is not normal.
"Senpai. Please, calm down…" Marina whispers while hugging behind which soothes Pearl from her rage which almost had her eaten by Chaos.
"Iida… It's just that… Damn it…" Pearl grunts as tears are dropping and her ink fades from black to pink and dark blue ink lands like tears.
"Senpai!?" Marina gasps as she can see Pearl coughing out more ink.
"Pearl…" Neku pats Pearl's back and halts after seeing that amount of blood coming from Pearl's mouth as she's puking it out, leading Neku and Marina to be flabbergasted by this.
"Ugh… We got the Great Zapfish back… But what about them?" Pearl asks as her voice sounds raspy by the throat.
"I'll find them. You need to report on the return of the Great Zapfish." Neku suggested.
"Neku?" Marina stands up while Neku puts his finger on an octoling's lips.
"It's alright. I'm about to ask Sora one thing to assist them. You, Pearl and Sheldon need to rest after all the squit you've been through." Neku chuckles and turns towards the hole and then to Shiver and Big Man who've long gone. "She's my sister. I can't let her suffer the same as my brother."
"Go…" Pearl croaks.
"Eh?" Marina exclaims.
"For eel?" Neku gasps with surprise.
"Yeah… We'll be your backup if anything goes to shit." Pearl grins while wiping blood off her mouth. "Before you go, let me give you a priority. Bring back Shiki."
"Senpai… Yeah. Please. Bring back what's important to us." Marina pleads.
"No problem. I got this." Neku willfully accepts as he dashes away from the hole and super jumps out of their sight.
With Neku gone, Pearl collapses as Marina gasps and then holds her.
"I'm okay… Damn it, only an idiot dies with a disorder…" Pearl laughs in a gravelly tone as her throat is drowning with her ink blood.
"Senpai. There's a hospital nearby. You and Sheldon need it." Marina sounded serious yet worried while carrying Pearl and Sheldon by herself.
"Eh? You're not going to report the return of the Great Zapfish all on your own!" Pearl snaps.
"It's okay senpai, I'll handle this." Marina approaches the Great Zapfish who was watching the hole as he recognised his saviours. "Excuse me, we need your help. I want you to roam freely until senpai is better."
The Great Zapfish nods and then continues on watching.
"See? Now you won't have to worry about missing the report." Marina giggles.
"Ugh… This is embarrassing…" Pearl groaned.
Finally, Pearl, Marina and Sheldon are heading back to Inkopolis through a foggy road.
Then tears are dropping on Pearl.
"Huh?"
"Serika… Why? Why her and Rei?" Marina weeps.
Pearl lowers her head, remembering what Shiver and Big Man did.
All this over their reward that was taken away by Deep Cut.
"Please come back…"
