A/N: Hello, readers! Welcome to another chapter!

Enjoy!

CHAPTER FIVE: MYSTOGAN VS. JURA

The second match soon began as Ren and Arana started battling, but it soon ended as Ren used his Air Magic to defeat her. "Next up, the third match of day one! War Cry of Quatro Cerberus versus Orga Nanagear of Sabertooth!" Chapati announced as the crowd went wild.

"There he is!"

"It's Orga!"

"Kick his ass!"

"Listen to those cheers! The crowd loves him!" Chapati announced.

"Let the third match begin!" The sound of the gong rang out as the match started. War Cry and Orga stared at each other. Then War Cry started crying. "There it is! War Cry's Tear Magic!" Chapati announced. Yajima nodded.

"That's a funny phrase, isn't it?" He asked.

"He's crying!" Natsu exclaimed.

"Tear Magic?" Erza questioned.

"What kind of magic is that?!" Elfman asked.

War Cry continues crying. "The more I cry... the stronger I get!" He said.

Suddenly, Orga attacks him with black lightning as everyone stares in shock. War Cry falls to the ground, defeated. Sting just smirked to himself.

"Lightning..." Laxus muttered. Lector and Frosch give each other a high five. Lily and Happy were both trembling.

"L-Lightning?!" Lily stuttered, covering his ears.

"One... attack..." Happy mumbled.

"The match is over! Literally, in a flash! Orga's Black Lightning fried the tears instantaneously!" Chapati said.

"What was that?!"

"Instantaneously?!"

"H-He's a monster!"

"He's strong! I mean, really strong! The winner is Orga Nanagear of Sabertooth!" Chapati announced. "That brings their total to 20 points! A perfect first day! Quatro Cerberus has two points! Too bad!"

"Couldn't you have made it more fun, Orga?!" Sting questioned.

"I'll sing a song." Orga replied, walking back to the arena.

"That's not what I meant!" Sting exclaimed.

Orga then began to sing a song as the audience was laughing.

"Alright, it's time for the final match of the first day." Chapati said.

"The teams that are left are Fairy Tail Team B and Lamia Scale, right?" Yajima asked.

"Long ago, these two guilds were about equal in terms of talent, so this should be an interesting match!" Jenny said.

"Okay, I'll announce the first day's final fight match-up!" Chapati stated. "It's Mystogan of Fairy Tail B versus Jura Neekis of Lamia Scale!" The audience went wild at this match-up.

"There he is!"

"Jura!"

"I've been waiting to see Jura!"

"I never thought he'd participate from the first day!"

"...Shit." Siegrain mumbled under his breath.

"Even in Fairy Tail, those who know his true face are few... The mysterious wizard, Mystogan!" Chapati exclaimed.

"Who the heck is that?!"

"That's a laugh!"

Jura headed out to the arena. "Good luck, Jura-san!" Sherria waved.

"This match is as good as over." Yuka commented.

"It hasn't even started yet!" Toby exclaimed.

"I know that. Stifle yourself." Yuka said. Jura entered the arena as the audience cheered for him.

"It's Jura!"

"Jura's here!"

"It's the real thing!"

"This is unlucky." Laxus commented.

"Going up against Jura..." Mira muttered.

"Is that cueball really that strong?" Gajeel asked.

Mira nodded. "I don't even know if Erza and I could beat him working together." She replied.

"Leave it to me." Siegrain reassured, fixing his cap. He eventually stepped in the arena, facing Jura before he quickly removed his shoes.

"Going barefoot, huh? You must be someone who knows my magic well. But will it help you?" Jura questioned. "Personally, I'm rooting for Fairy Tail, but our Obaba is really strict about that..." It went silent for a moment before he continued. "My apologies, but I'm not going to hold back here."

"Neither am I." Siegrain responded, clenching the staff in his hand. "I wasn't planning on battling anyone, much less Jura-san. I knew I wouldn't get through the Games without getting involved somehow."

Outside of the stadium...

Ultear, Meredy, and Jellal were looking at the orb. "Wha...?! Siegrain's going to fight?!" Ultear questioned in disbelief.

"He'll be fine... right?" Meredy asked, worried about her fiancé getting found out.

"Don't worry, his cover won't be blown." Jellal reassured.

"How can you be so sure?" Ultear said.

"Sieg is smart. He won't reveal himself unless it's necessary." Jellal answered before he sighed. "However, he really hates being underestimated."

"Jura Neekis of Lamia Scale versus Mystogan of Fairy Tail B! Let the final match of the day... begin!" Chapati shouted as the gong rang out. Siegrain began unclipping his staffs.

"I'm not expecting to win this battle, but if I can at least get some points for Fairy Tail, that's good enough for me. I'm not gonna tarnish Mystogan's name!" Siegrain thinks to himself as he charged at Jura.

Jura soon placed Earth pillars in front of him as Siegrain got thrown into the air. "Wow!" Natsu exclaimed. More pillars were soon shown as Siegrain dodged them all, running down one as the staffs soon appeared in front of him and surrounded Jura. Siegrain soon landed on the ground.

"Five Layered Magic Circle: Sacred Song!" Siegrain called out as the staffs activated and five Magic Circles appeared above Jura.

"So he's copying Mystogan's magic..." Laxus pointed out.

"Clever..." Mira added.

"Jura-san!" Sherria exclaimed.

"There's no need to worry. With apologies to Juvia's team, I believe Jura-san is Fiore's number one wizard." Lyon said as an iron fist came straight at Siegrain.

"Three Layered Magic Circle: Mirror Water!" Siegrain shouted, creating three Magic Circles in front of him as the iron fist went right back at Jura.

"It ricocheted!" Natsu said.

"Awesome!" Elfman commented.

Jura then moved the iron fist right back at Siegrain. "It turned again!" Elfman said.

Siegrain smirked from under his mask as he used his Earth Magic, shattering the iron fist into pieces before it could attack him. The crowd was shocked upon seeing this.

"He uses Earth Magic too?!" Lyon exclaimed.

"No way..." Sherria muttered.

"Jura! Hurry up and finish him off!" Obaba shouted, spinning a guild member. "Send him spinning!"

"You're spinning me!"

"Now, now, Jura-san. I know you're not fighting at your full strength." Siegrain taunted, his fist getting covered in flames. "Though, to be fair, I'm not either!"

Siegrain punched Jura with a flaming fist, causing him to crash into the arena wall. "Fire?!" Natsu shouted in shock.

"I don't believe what I'm seeing! Jura, who is one of the 10 Great Wizard Saints, is being overwhelmed!" Chapati announced.

"I haven't used my Elemental Magic in a long time. Man, holding back really sucks." Siegrain thinks to himself.

An iron fist soon came hurling at Siegrain, giving him no time to dodge it as he landed on the ground. "And just like that, Mystogan is knocked down!" Chapati said, making the crowd cheer.

Siegrain stood back up."As I expected, he's not an opponent I can beat using Mystogan's magic nor just simple Element Magic. If you want this to be a Wizard Saint battle, then your wish is granted!" He thought before lowering himself down to the ground. "Meteor!"

A white Magic Circle with a pentagram in the middle appeared under Siegrain as he was surrounded in a white magic aura. He sped past Jura, taking him by surprise.

"This guy..." Jura trailed off as Siegrain ran along the sides of the arena.

"He's fast!" Jet exclaimed.

He soon charged forward at Jura. "Iron Rock Wall!" Jura shouted, but Siegrain just sped around it. Jura aimed the rocks of the wall towards Siegrain who dodged them.

"There!" Jura said, finally stopping Siegrain in his tracks as he smirked.

"Just in time." Siegrain muttered.

White Magic Circles appeared in the sky one by one. "Magic Circles in the sky!" Elfman exclaimed.

"When did he...?" Natsu asked.

"He must've drawn them while defending from the attack." Erza guessed as Siegrain landed on the ground.

"Be judged by the light of the Heavens! The Moon shall be your Arbiter, pray she is feeling merciful!" Siegrain shouted. "Ursa Major!"

Multiple rays of white light rained down towards the arena. Jura placed his palms together. "Rock Mountain!" He called out as a rock monster protected him from the attack.

The attacks colliding soon created a smoky explosion in the arena as well as the wind picking up. "I see... I know who you are now." Jura thought.

Siegrain clicked his tongue in annoyance. "I'm starting to get annoyed..." He thinks to himself. Suddenly, an idea popped in his head. "Wait a minute... Didn't Mystogan have that illusion spell? I distinctly remember him telling me about it. I have to give it a shot."

Siegrain places all five staves into the ground one by one. "Skyscraper!" He called out as a dark purple Magic Circle appeared in front of him.

The ground suddenly was destroyed as Jura was propelled into the air before he was tied up with four belts and a frog-like, draconic Demon tore a hole into space, reaching out to grab Jura.

However, Jura used his Earth Magic to break the illusion. "Impressive. Too bad your reaction time was a bit too late." Siegrain said.

Before Siegrain could call out a spell however, the gong rang out, signaling time was up. "And the thirty minutes are up! It's a draw! Both teams receive 5 points!" Chapati announced.

"Holy crap!" Natsu exclaimed.

"They were evenly matched?" Elfman questioned.

"And with this, the first day of the Grand Magic Games comes to a close! Here's the overall ranking!" Chapati said as the scoreboard appeared.

"What do you think, Yajima-san? It's no surprise that Sabertooth is number one." Chapati continued. "On the other hand, Fairy Tail, who has two teams, are in last place."

"It's still the first day. I'm hoping for a comeback drama from tomorrow on." Yajima stated.

"And my guild still has a shot at victory. I can't wait for day two!" Jenny added on.

"Yajima-san, Jenny-san, thank you very much for your commentary today."

"Thank you."

"See you all again!"

Siegrain walked out of the arena. "Sorry." He apologized, making his teammates get taken aback.

"The hell are you apologizing for? We got 5 points from that match." Laxus said.

"Which I can't say the same for Salamander's team." Gajeel grinned.

"You did good." Mira complimented, smiling at him.

Somewhere in the stands, an unknown hooded figure was watching the match from the shadows. Though, you could easily tell the figure was a woman.

"So cool..." She mumbled under her breath. "Dad was pretty amazing back then. He was evenly matched with Jura-san. I wish I had more memories of him."

She didn't have many memories of her father, and the one that she did have, wasn't really pleasant.

A two year old Kaira was shaking badly as she was with her uncle and mother's guild - Crime Sorciére.

The enemy soon fired, aiming for Jellal as Siegrain quickly rushed in and pushed Jellal out of the way, causing him to take the blast as he collapsed to the ground.

"Sieg!" Jellal shouted as blood began to show, painting the ground underneath him.

"Never thought I would go out saving your troublesome ass..." Siegrain chuckled weakly. "God, this pain is really unbearable."

He looked up, meeting his brother's eyes as he saw tears forming in them. "Huh... I think this is the first time I've seen you cry." Siegrain commented.

"Please don't leave me." Jellal pleaded, tears threatening to fall. "You're all I have, Siegrain!"

Siegrain chuckled. "Not true... You got Erza." He looked over to his wife and daughter. "Take care of Mer and Kaira for me, will you do that, Nii-san?"

"You have my word."

Siegrain smiled before he went completely still. Jellal let out a painful scream as he sobbed.

"Come back, Sieg. Please..." Jellal cried out, hugging his twin brother's body while the rest of Crime Sorciére only had sorrowful looks.

Meredy held onto her daughter as Kaira could feel her mother's tears falling. The toddler could only watch as her uncle sets her father's body down before glaring at his killer and striking him in the chest with tears still streaming down his face.

Kaira Fernandes learned one thing that day.

Sadness can quickly turn into anger.

The now teenage girl clenched her fist at the memory before she took her leave.

Sure, her uncle wasn't the one who killed her father, but he did it indirectly. And that's something she could never forgive him for.

Kaira despised her uncle with a passion.

But deep down, she knew that the only reason that she decided to help Future Lucy with the unsuspecting doom was so that she could see her father alive and well.

A/N: Kaira is Siegrain and Meredy's daughter, and as you can tell, Siegrain is dead in her future.

Sorry that the battle was boring. I was gonna originally have Siegrain win, but then people would probably be furious with me, so I just had their match end up being a draw.

Thanks for reading!
