A/N: Yes, I'm skipping a lot of episodes because let's be honest, you guys don't want to read the battles that happen on the final day. Especially if Siegrain isn't gonna show up in them.

CHAPTER TWENTY: CHANGE

Far away from the stadium were Siegrain, Meredy, Jellal, and Ultear. "We made a grave error, while at the same time got locked into an inescapable destiny." Jellal spoke.

"If everything that the Future Lucy said is true..." Meredy started to say.

"...this country will be destroyed tomorrow." Ultear finished. "Jellal..."

"But destroyed...?!" Meredy said.

"I guess it's still clinging to me... The sin of destruction..." Ultear claimed. "I know a lifetime isn't enough to make up for them."

Siegrain sighed as he looked at Jellal, Meredy, and Ultear. The looks on their faces told him what they were thinking.

"But how about if we at least evacuate everyone?" Meredy suggested.

"It'll cause a panic." Ultear said.

"But still..." Meredy began to protest.

"Wait." The three turned to Jellal. "There's no guarantee that it's all true." Jellal claimed.

"Huh?"

"What do you mean?" Siegrain asked.

"Something about her story... Something doesn't add up. Something..." Jellal trailed off.

The rescue team was currently talking with Future Lucy and Kaira. "There's something that puzzles me. Why did you come?" Natsu turned to the pink-haired woman.

"I wanted to help Lucy-san. But I also want to prevent my father's death from happening." Kaira replied, shocking everyone.

"Siegrain dies?" Natsu questioned.

"Natsu! Don't be so insensitive!" Lucy scolded.

"No, it's okay. It's been years now, so I can talk about it without tearing up." Kaira reassured, clenching her fists tightly as if trying to keep herself from releasing her rage.

"My father died trying to protect Jellal. He wasn't anywhere near that attack! And he sacrificed his life to save his brother who was at fault for all his pain!" Kaira shouted. "If I kill Jellal in this time, my dad won't have to die. I taught myself my father's Magic so I can kill him."

Kaira looks down. "I just want my Dad back..." She finished, making Lucy frown at her.

"It's not all necessarily true?" Ultear quoted.

"You mean the Future Lucy is lying?" Meredy asked.

"Why go through all that trouble?" Siegrain questioned.

"More than 10,000 dragons... Eclipse... Magic power... It just doesn't add up." Jellal explained.

"Then..." Meredy started to say.

"...she's purposely giving misinformation about the future?" Ultear finished.

"Are Lucy's words lies? Or is her entire existence a fiction?" Jellal asked.

Jellal, Meredy, Ultear, and Siegrain all sensed it. "This magic..." Ultear trailed off.

"I'm sure of it!" Meredy added.

"In the city..."

"Calm down. The Future Lucy and Kaira have become caught up in a battle. If Natsu and the others are with them, there's no need to panic." Jellal informed.

"Get back, Lucy!" Lily warned.

"I'm fine!" Lucy reassured.

Wendy threw wind up in the air as a couple of royal guards got caught in it.

"Even though they're just kids, they're damn strong!"

"Call the anti-magic unit!"

"You're not getting past us!" Loke kicked a few guards aside.

"Come on! Let's have some fun, shall we boys?" Kaira beamed as she lowered herself to the ground, "Meteor!"

Kaira gets engulfed in white light, speeding around and knocking the royal guards down in one strike.

Natsu suddenly got blasted by something. "Direct hit! Ready waves two and three!"

"Was that magic?" Carla asked.

"Who are those guys?" Happy questioned. "Natsu!"

"The kingdom has a magic unit, too..." Carla muttered.

Natsu pats his back. "That's a surprise." He turns around. "You guys actually make a living with magic like that?"

"It didn't work!"

"Is that kid a monster?!"

"What should we do?!"

"Hi! Sorry I took so long!"

"Don't!"

"We weren't waiting for you!"

"Don't just come out on your own!"

"Who the hell are you?!" Natsu asked.

"Sorry, sorry!" The dolphin spoke.

"Me? I'm the kingdom of Fiore's strongest magic soldier."

"That's going too far!" The dolphin exclaimed.

"What is this guy?" Lily questioned. "A wizard? Not a Celestial Spirit?"

"They don't have people like him." Lucy replied.

"Time for punishment, isn't it, Princess?" Virgo asked.

"I'm gonna go all out for the lovely Princess Hisui."

"Ball! Get it!" The dolphin said, moving through the guards.

"He's bowling over his allies?" Wendy questioned.

"That guy's scary!" Happy exclaimed.

"In more ways than one..." Carla commented.

The dolphin guy crashed into Natsu. "You got some power there!" He said.

"I've got confidence in my physical strength!" The dolphin said.

"Your man there's exhausted!" Natsu pointed out.

"Sorry! I can't..."

"You can't?!"

"All right!" Natsu lit his fist on fire. "If you claim to be the strongest, then I'm gonna do my worst!"

"Okay! I'm waiting for it with open arms..." The guy was sweating.

"All that sweat!" The dolphin exclaimed.

"Fire Dragon's Fist!" Natsu called out, punching the man-dolphin away.

"We tried!"

More royal guards came forward. "Fire Dragon's Wing Attack!" Natsu shouted.

"Regulus Impact!" Loke called out.

Kaira leaped into the air, creating nine lightning-based swords behind her as she called out, "Jiu Leixing!"

The swords struck down at the royal guards, causing an explosion.

"Sky Dragon's Roar!" Wendy blew the guards away.

"Where are our reinforcements?!"

"On their way from sectors 7 and 8!"

"We've got strength in numbers!"

"Stop them!"

"Yeah!"

"For Princess Hisui!"

"Show her what you're made of!"

"Yeah!"

"How many of them are there?!" Lucy exclaimed.

"We shouldn't have come this way!" Future Lucy said.

"It'll be okay, right? After all, we have magic..." Carla said.

"Carla, it's dangerous here, so get back!" Happy was on high alert.

"You too!" Lily told him before sinking in acid. He grabbed Happy and Carla. "Look out!"

Knepper soon appeared. "You're not getting by me!"

"Him!" Happy exclaimed.

"From the Garou Knights!" Carla added.

"You again?!" Lily questioned.

Knepper chuckled. "We still have our mission!"

Wendy and Kaira soon got attacked by plants. "Hi! Do you remember my name?" Cosmos asked.

Confetti soon surrounded the two Lucy's. "This is... Come on! At a time like this?!" Lucy complained.

"Would you please not belittle the kingdom's strongest executioners?" Kamika questioned.

"I know, Kamika." Cosmos agreed.

"That scary person isn't here."

Uosuke arrived being carried by the guards. "Heave-ho! Heave-ho! Heave-ho!"

"Guild wizards."

Natsu turned around. "Huh?"

"I have a good idea of your principles. But now my principle is going to hold sway. No criminal is allowed to exit the palace alive." Kama claimed.

"Jeez, you guys are pesty." Natsu said.

Arcadios entered a hall wearing white armor. The armor clangs as he walks, getting the guards attention as they looked at him with shock.

"C-Colonel Arcadios! What are you doing here?!"

The guards soon surround him.

"Y-You were imprisoned for treason against the kingdom!"

"Where is the princess?" Arcadios asked.

"U-Um..."

"Where is she?" Arcadios asked again.

"O-On the top floor!"

Arcadios continued on his way as the guards noticed the armor he was wearing. "Hey, that armor..."

"Yeah, that's..."

"...the White Lily Armor!"

"Battle armor!"

"That's what she said. There's one more way to use Eclipse. Eclipse 2." Hisui spoke, standing in front of the Eclipse Gate.

"2? What's that?" Arcadios asked.

"These seven years, we've been using the Grand Magic Games to accumlate magic power for the Gate. The magic power we've gathered rivals even Etherion." Hisui replied.

"Wha...? The holy light that the Magic Council possesses?" Arcadios questioned. "This is on par with a force that's said to be able to annihilate an entire country?"

"And we're going to release it on the swarm of dragons. That's the Eclipse 2 Project." Hisui claimed.

"There are Lacrimas placed all throughout the city to film the Grand Magic Games. I want you to go underground to meet up with Jellal, Siegrain, and their comrades." Future Lucy stated.

"Jellal and Siegrain?" Natsu quoted.

"I told him everything. Kaira told the same information to Siegrain. I'm sure those two are developing a strategy right now." Future Lucy informed.

"Developing a strategy?" Lucy repeated.

"Sorry. We didn't come from the future with an answer." Kaira apologized while Future Lucy glanced down.

"We don't know how to keep all of this from happening." She added.

"There's something I have to confirm." Arcadios thinks to himself as he remembers how Future Lucy sobbed while Natsu comforted her. "Those weren't the tears of a liar. The one who's lying... is the princess."

"Tophography effect! Hot wind zone!" Uosuke called out as hot wind soon appeared.

"You're hittin' me with a heat attack? Now I'm really fired up!" Natsu claimed before releasing his breath attack at Uosuke.

"Tophography effect! Iceberg zone!" Uosuke dispersed the flames.

"Pain in the ass..." Natsu muttered.

Wendy dodged Knepper who sent purple acid in their direction. "Come on, come on! I'll melt you, too!" Knepper stated.

Wendy soon landed back on the ground. "You're a Dragon Slayer, right?" Knepper asked Wendy.

"That's right. What about it?" Wendy questioned.

Knepper slammed his fist as purple acid was raised. "Sky Dragon's Wing Attack!" Wendy shouted, blowing the acid away and causing Knepper to laugh.

"I think you'll be worth melting down!" He exclaimed.

Kamika raised a red piece of confetti. "Confetti! Red Dance!" She shouted as the confetti turned into flames.

Lucy took out a gate key. "Open! Gate of the Scorpion! Scorpio!"

Scorpio soon appeared from his gate. "Leave it to me, yay!" He cheered as sand disputed the flames.

Yellow lightning soon appeared above Kamika. "Yellow paper is the god of lightning!"

"Sand Wall!" Scorpio puts up a wall made of sand in front of him.

"So this is Celestial Spirit Magic, huh? Now this will be worth attacking!" Kamika claimed.

Loke was trying to charm Cosmos. "You're Cosmos-chan, is that right? I'm not interested in fighting cute girls, so let's be friends..." He said before he was shoved back by a plant.

"I hate flirty men! I think you desecrate beauty, so get lost!" Cosmos exclaimed.

"It's all of a sudden, so you're nervous and bashful, but that's cute, too!"

"Wrong." Cosmos denied.

Loke's fists soon lit up. "Then what about this? A present from me."

"Then these are from me. Spore Bombs!" Cosmos yelled as the guards stood in amazement.

"Wow!"

"They're executioners!"

"All right, let's help them out!"

"Don't interfere!" Kaira said as she raised her arms up and shouted, "Pleiades!"

Six rays of light fall from the sky and attack the guards in a consecutive fashion, making them get knocked out.

"Nice hit." Lily commented.

"Thanks. I hate using his spells. But I'm saving my Dad's spells for him." Kaira said as Lily frowned at her.

"Watch out!" Lily warned, blocking Kama's attack with his sword.

"Criminal cat, I heard you were a soldier once." Kama stated. "Why did you renounce your country and enter a wizard guild?"

Both Lily and Kama skidded back. "I could explain, but you wouldn't understand." Lily answered.

"I'll take a guess. Perhaps it wasn't a country in which loyalty was important." Kama said.

"Shut your mouth, executioner! No one insults Edolas in front of me!" Lily claimed, charging forward and leaping into the air.

"Come, then!"

Both Future Lucy and Kaira were suddenly alert as Natsu was going against Uosuke. "Is something wrong-tai? Are you tai-tired?" Uosuke taunted.

Natsu fixed his scarf. "Whether I'm tired or not, that don't matter." His hands lit on fire. "No matter how many of you come after us, that don't matter. We're gonna break through here. That's all. You can keep gettin' in our way, but don't think you'll be able to stop Fairy Tail!"

"E-Everyone! Look at this!" Chapati announced as the Lacrima Vision showed Laxus, Jura, and Orga in a three-way battle.

"Here it comes! Jura of the Ten Wizard Saints-kabo!" Mato cheered.

"Shall I join the contest, as well?" Jura spoke. "My blood hasn't burned like this for a long time."

"So you came out, monster." Laxus said.

Obaba chuckles to herself. "Here's where it gets real! The moment I decided to have Jura participate in this, Lamia Scale's victory was assured! Laxus and Orga might as well be babies!" She said.

"In other words, they're just plain unlucky!" Sherry added.

"He's too strong!" Toby exclaimed.

"Don't get mad about it." Sherry told him sheepishly.

Orga, Jura, and Laxus all had a stare off with one another. "What is this intensity?"

"It's okay! You can do it! We're here, Laxus!" Freed encouraged.

"The Raijinshuu are with you!" Bickslow added.

"Laxus is nervous?!" Evergreen exclaimed.

"Jura-san, I wanna see you when you're serious." Black lightning soon appeared in Orga's hands. "Do you have the guts to take this?"

"Oh?"

"I'm the Lightning God Slayer." Orga informed. "God Slayer Magic or the title of Ten Wizard Saints? Which is more powerful? I'm sure everyone wants to know that. Well, Ten Wizard Saint? Can you block my magic? Or is Ten Wizard Saint just your calling card?"

Jura closed his eyes calmly. "Go ahead."

His reply causes Orga to smirk as Laxus watches. "He got the old man in a trap." Laxus thinks to himself.

"He took the dare!" Sherry shouted.

"Don't fall for it!" Toby exclaimed.

Obaba began spinning the two of them. "Shush it! You wanna spin?" She asked.

"We're already spinning!"

"Here I go! Lightning God's Charged Particle Cannon!" Orga called out, sending a blast of black lightning towards Jura.

Jura dodged his attack and slammed Orga to the ground in a flash, shocking Laxus and the audience.

"Now I remember. You had a bout on that first day." Jura said as Orga was shown knocked out. "You ended the match with just one attack."

The audience bursted into cheers. "Awesome!"

"L-Lamia Scale is now just one point away from Fairy Tail!" Chapati announced.

"Th-There's no way..." Makarov said as he was stunned.

"What are you saying, Master?!" Evergreen exclaimed.

"I believe in Laxus!" Freed shouted.

"Laxus can surpass even Jura!" Bickslow added.

"All right, now..."

Laxus gritted his teeth. "Give it up, Makarov. During the seven years you were gone, Jura rose up to fifth place in the Ten Wizard Saints." Obaba stated.

"Although no matter what he does, it doesn't seem like he can catch up to the top four." Sherry claimed.

"Don't speak of them! You wanna spin?" Obaba threatened as she spun Sherry around.

"I'm already spinning!"

"The Four Kings of Ishgar. They're not human. In other words, Jura is the most powerful human wizard." Obaba said.

"You can't rule out Siegrain either, who's a rank below Jura." Yuka commented. "Though, no one's ever witnessed him get serious."

"Jura Neekis... In this final battle, he's the one person I was wariest of." Mavis said.

"There's nothing I can tell you, Laxus. I'll watch you to the end!" Makarov exclaimed.

Jura walked forward. "I've wanted to fight you for the longest time, being that you're Makarov-dono's..."

"Whoa, don't go there!" Laxus interrupted. "We're not standin' here as an old man with a fancy title or somebody's grandson."

Laxus dropped his overcoat. "We're just two men." He finished.

"I like that determination." Jura said as a gust of wind blew through them. It was silent between the two.

Laxus charged forward with lightning surrounding him as Jura placed his palms together. He then karate-chopped Laxus to the ground, shocking the Fairy Tail members.

"Oh, my!" Chapati exclaimed. Obaba smirked while Makarov widened his eyes.

"H-He finished this one with one strike, too!" Chapati said.

"Words fail me..." Yajima muttered.

"Wow-pepo." Mato said.

"His character profile is mistaken." Chapati added.

"In this world, there's always somebody higher than you." Jura claimed.

"I know that all too well."

Laxus stood up as lightning surrounded him once more. "But sometimes, you need to look down, too. 'Cause the other guy might be at your feet!" He exclaimed, attacking Jura from below with lightning.

A/N: Sorry that this chapter took forever! And yes, Kaira can use both Jellal and Siegrain's spells. And no, I don't care if that makes her OP. She was trained by Jellal, but taught herself Siegrain's spells, if that makes sense.
