Sorry it took so long i rewrote this chapter a few times finally liked the way this one was turning out promise the next one wont take as long. Enjoy!

"Luna, Artemis get here fast we have big trouble," Serenity spook into the communicator as she watched Sesshomaru battle the demon youma high breed. He was once again blasted and sent flying into a near by buliding. Once again he got up and once again he sliced the demon youma with his claws, this time he severed it arm only to have it grow back again. She needed to act fast before it seriously hurt Sesshomaru or some one eles.

"What the hell?" Sesshomaru said through clenched teeth. He wasn't sure which direction Serenity had run to he didn't dare a glance not wanting the creature to go after her. The basic instinct to protect his mate ran through his head. Again he went after the monster with his claws and agian the thing regenerated.

"You can't slice and dice it, this is no ordinary demon," a feminine voice said.

Sesshomaru scanned the area until he saw a figure cloaked in the shadows of a grove of near by trees. He watched as the figure stepped from the shadows her white heels made no sound, she was beautiful, the moonlight seemed to wrap around her. Her rather short skirt showed off her long and shapely legs. Her hair was of spun silver and her eyes were the clearest blue as if looking into a deep mountain lake. Two white feathered wings sprouted from her back and in her right hand she clutched a staff with a glob the swirled with every color of the rainbow.

Sesshomaru knew this woman she was what the topic of his was conversation earlier with the other lords. "Sailor Cosmos your reputation proceeds you."

A slight smile curved on her lips. "It does, does it? Well allow me to get rid of this nuisance then you and I can talk or fight." She had to really fight the urge to tell Sesshomaru who she was but she knew she couldn't reveal herself just incase he was one of the demons hunting her. She walked past him and stood in front of the demon youma raised her staff and called out, "Moon healing escalation." A bright light shot from her staff and encircled the demon youma, as it faded in its place was a boy fox demon.

The fox demon blinked his eyes twice before collapsing. Sailor Cosmos went to move to the boys side but Sesshomaru stepped over the boy and growled low in his throat. "It's ok I am not going to hurt him I just want to see if he is ok."

"One wrong move and you will feel the sting of my claws." Sesshomaru stepped aside but he kept his golden gaze trained on her.

Cosmos studied the boy his pulse and breaths were strong, she wanted to do a more extensive examination but couldn't with Sesshomaru watching her every move. "He will be alright just exhausted from the dark energy that was possessing him." She stood and faced Sesshomaru reading hrrself for an attack. "I know you demons been hunting me why I don't know but know this I will do whatever it takes to protect myself and the city from whatever I deem to be an enemy."

Sesshomaru went to say something but before he could red flashing lights and sirens interrupted him, the demon authorities and police had arrived. When he turned back to where Sailor Cosmos had been she was gone a single white feather floated down, which he caught and sniffed, before placing it in his coat pocket.

Serenity watched over head as Sesshomaru gave his statement to the officials on the scene. She had to get to the boy in order to perform a scan on him, she was hopeing she could get a read on the dark energy that had been possessing him and turned him into a youma. It wasn't until she heard Sesshomaru mentioning that she had ran off that a idea popped in her head.

Jumping down from her spot she ran in the direction where the fight had taken place, calling out for him.

Sesshomaru was elated to see that Serenity was unharmed, the urge to catch her up in his arms ran through him so strong the he had to struggle not to. "Are you alright, Serenity?"

"Yeah I'm ok."

"Was she caught up in the fight to, Lord Sesshomaru?" a demon authority asked.

"Yes," Sesshomaru said curtly.

"Then we better take her in too, just incase," the demon said and waved a paramedic over.

Serenity was hoping to avoid this. She tried to avoid doctors and hospitals since any test they do would come back weird or even expose her as a lunarian. But she knew if she refused treatment, both Sesshomaru and the other demons might get suspicious. Lucky for her she had someone on the inside, Saeko Mizuno, Ami's mother.

Not long after the defeat of Chaos the Senshi had decided it was time to tell thier families about who they really were. To the Senshi surprise they had already known and had kept ot a secert.

"Alright I will go with you to the hospital but only if Dr. Mizuno is the one to examine me," Serenity said, as she watched them load the demon boy into the back of the ambulance. This might be just the chance she needed to get to run her tests on the boy. "And I ride with child."

The paramedic started to argue but with one look from Sesshomaru he agreed and lead Serenity to the ambulanc.

"I will meet there, Serenity," Sesshomaru called out before the doors on the ambulance closed.

It had been over a hour that Serenity was waiting to be seen, upon arriving she had been informed that Saeko was in surgery and that as soon as she was done she would be in to see her. Just when she couldn't think she could wait any longer the door to her room opened and closed.

Saeko walked in with a nurse trailing behind her, she took one look at Serenity and turned to the nurse. "Nurse you won't be needed here."

"But Dr. Mizuno it is against policy for a doctor to examine a patient by yourself," the nurse scowled. She was older then Saeko and her disdain for her showed.

"I assure you it is fine in this case, Miss Tsukino is a friend of my daughter's and is a very private person, who has had a traumatic event." Saeko voice held a authoritative tone one Serenity had never heard before, but it worked.

"Wow,"Serenity said as soon as the door closed.

Saeko turned back to Serenity beaming. "Yeah being the senior doctor does has it perks. So got caught up in a fight tonight?"

"Yeah you can say that, I was attacked by a youma demon high breed." She told Saeko everything that had occurred. "Don't mention this to Ami if u talk to her I don't want to pull her away from her doctrine."

"Not a problem," Saeko said nodding. "What else do u need?"

"The boy that came in here with me I need to see him and run a few tests see if I can get a lead on what was possessing him. And of course release me."

"Done. Come with me should be easy enough to get you into seeing the boy."

Serenity followed Saeko down the hall to another room, where the boy still laid unconscious. "I don't understand it he should have awakened by now." Serenity pulled out the silver computer, much like Sailor Mercury's, and started to type. "I don't get it there isn't a trace of dark energy so why is he still unconscious?"

"This might explain it," Saeko said handing the boys medical chart to her.

Serenity read the report and as she did her anger grew. According to his chart the boy had been beaten severely and was suffering from many internal injuries and needed surgery or else he was going to die. "Why isn't he being worked on?"

"According to his chart he is a orphan and the foster family he is with won't pay for it." Saeko sighed and gave Serenity a sad look. "And even if they did I don't think he will make it has been too long."

It took all Serenity had not to punch something. "Lock the door, since no one will help this child I will."

Saeko smiled she knew Serenity wouldn't let any child die, she locked the door and turned back to Serenity. Serenity had already called on her healing powers, her body glowed with a silver light that seemed to be comeing from the moon. With her hands a few inches above the boy she transferred the light from her body to his.

Slowly the boy opened his eyes and smiled at Serenity. "Hello are you an angel, because only a angel could be this pretty."

Serenity gripped the side of the bed as a dizzy spell passed through her. But even with that she couldn't help but return his smile. "No I am not an angel just a friend I am Serenity. What's your name?"

"I am Shippo," he said.

A loud pounding sounded on the door. Shippo turned wide frightened eyes to Serenity who immediately held the small boy and comforted him.

Saeko opened the door and the nurse from earlier charged in, upon seeing Serenity she turned to Saeko. "Dr. Mizuno what is the meaning of this why is one patient in another patient's room?"

"Miss Tsukino is a friend of the boy's." Saeko really didn't have a good enough excuse for why Serenity was in there other then the truth which of course she couldn't tell.

"Whether Miss Tsukino is a friend or not she isn't permitted to be here." A couple that oozed evil stepped in the room, Shippo clunged to Serenity in terror. The nurse turned from to them. "He seems to be awake now, so if you like you can get him dressed while I have the papers drawn up to realise him."

"What?!" Serenity couldn't believe her ears. "This child needs medical attention!"

"Miss Tsukino I suggest you leave this room before I call security," the nurse said pointing to the door. Serenity went to protest but the nurse cut her off. "You are not the legal gaurdian of this child."

"We shall see about that." With her head up and looking every bit the queen she would become, Serenity left the room followed by Saeko.

Saeko knew Serenity was plotting something she could almost see the wheels turning in her head. "How much time do you need?"

"As long as you can give me, I need to make a few calls."

"All right I will give u as long as you need and you can use my office you should have privacy," Saeko said unlocking the door.

Serenity pulled out her cell phone and punched in Kunzite's number.

After Chaos and before Darien left for the states she had freed the Shitennou from their frozen statist and restored their true memories of the Silver Millenium. They had surprisingly joined the mainstream life pretty well opening two businesses. Zoisite and Kunzite had opened up a law firm and become two of the most sought out lawyers, while Jedeite and Nephrite had opened a private eye/ bounty hunter/ personal security place.

After two rings Kunzite picked up. "Hello princess what can I do for you?" Serenity told him all about the fight and the situation Shippo was in. "I see so you want me to have the papers drawn up to appoint you as legal gaurdian or do you want adoption?" Serenity hadn't considered adopting Shippo, but why not. "It would be easier to get just the legal gaurdian papers but adoption they wouldn't be able to fight it."

"Alright lets do adoption, how soon can you get me the paper?" She had to figure out a way to keep Shippo in the hospital until the papers were drawn up, she hoped it wouldn't take to long.

Kunzite was silent and Serenity could hear the sound of papers being shuffled. "I can have the papers to you in two hours max. I am sending Zoisite to represent you and Nephrite and Jedeite for protection."

"Thank you Kinzite I will open a portal for them."

"Not a problem princess." He was the only one of the Shitennou who called her that. And it amazed her how they had turned thier loyalties to her after Darien had left her.

After Darien had left her crying on the street, her friends were gone already she had no one left except the Shitennou. She had walked aimlessly through the rain only to find herself on thier doorstep.

Jedeite had opened the door took one look and had dragged her in to his arms. "Don't tell me the fool went ahead with his moronic plans and left for the States?"

Serenity had cried into his shirt, her sobbing muffled as she nodded.

"Idiot," Kunzite had said and slammed his fist into the wall.

In a daze they lead her into the livingroom, wrapped her up in a blanket and gave her a cup of hot chocolate.

"We told him not to do it." Nephrite said and placed a plate of freshly baked cookies in front of her. "I told him he would not only lose you but the future you all had saw."

Kunzite dropped to his knees and motioned for the others to follow. "We announce our oath given to Endymion the prince and future king of Earth. And swear to protect Serenity the princess and future queen of the Moon and Earth with our lives. If you will have us of course."

Kunzite's words brought her out of her daze. Smiling at the four men who kneeled before her she said, "I will indeed have you as not only my protectors but my friends wel, as well."

Since that day they had come to her when she needed help and been there for her when she needed them
