Big Wave Beach
After Jimmy got his Pokemon back from the nurse, he, along with the Eds, and Sarah exit the Pokemon Center. After less than a minute, they found themselves in Route 2.
"Well, gang, let's get going." said Eddy. They all started walking up the path. As they did, a woman approached them.
"Excuse me." said the woman.
"Can we help you?" asked Edd.
"Would any of you like a..." said the woman before a shocked look appeared on her face when she sees the Eds. 'Oh no, it's the Eds! I can't challenge them to a Pokemon battle, they'll dominate me!' She then looks down at Sarah. "Would YOU like to have a Pokemon battle with me?"
"Sure." replied Sarah. Soon, Sarah, and the woman stand several feet from each other while the Eds, and Jimmy sat on a small hill to watch. Sarah, and the woman each pull out a pokeball.
"Go, Cutiefly!" said the woman, throwing the pokeball and releasing a yellow, and white, fly-like Pokemon.
"Oh, it's so cute! I can see how it got its name." said Sarah. Edd takes out the Rotom Pokedex and points it at the Pokemon.
"Cutiefly, the Bee Fly Pokemon. Cutiefly can pick up the auras of living things. It skillfully reads those auras to predict its foes' movements and make fools of them." said the Rotom Pokedex.
"Well, cute or not, I'm still battling it." said Sarah. "Go, Ledyba!" She throws Ledyba's pokeball and releases her.
"Looks like it's bug Pokemon vs bug Pokemon." said Edd.
"Your Ledyba may be cute, but it's no match for Cutiefly." said the woman.
"Then prove it!" exclaimed Sarah.
"Very well. Cutiefly, Fairy Wind!" said the woman. Cutiefly flaps her wings and releases a gust of sparkling pink wind towards Ledyba.
"Ledyba, Light Screen!" said Sarah. A pink force field appeared around Ledyba and takes most of the hit from Fairy Wind, but still doing a little damage to Ledyba, knocking her back. "Now use Swift!" Ledyba releases stars from her body and they hit Cutiefly, knocking it back.
"Cutiefly, Stun Spore!" said the woman. Cutiefly flaps its wings and releases an orange powder.
"Safeguard!" said Sarah. A turquoise force field appeared around Ledyba and blocks Stun Spore. "Tackle!" Ledyba flies at Cutiefly and rams it. It falls to the ground with swirly eyes.
"No, Cutiefly!" said the woman.
"Sarah is the winner." said Edd.
"You did it, Ledyba!" cheered Sarah. Ledyba smiles in response. The woman returns Cutiefly to its pokeball. She, the Eds, and Jimmy walk over to Sarah.
"You were great, baby sister." said Ed. A surprised look appeared on the woman's face.
"Sister? You're Ed's little sister?" asked the woman.
"Yep." replied Sarah.
"No wonder you beat me." said the woman. She gives Sarah pokedollars and walks towards Hau'oli City. Sarah returns Ledyba to her pokeball and the group continued walking.
"I hope we find more Pokemon, Eddy." said Ed. Edd sees a grassy area.
"Perhaps we could find some Pokemon there, fellows." said Edd.
"Come on, let's check it out." said Eddy. They walk into the grass. As Eddy was looking around, he hears rustling in the grass. He sees something moving towards him. A purple, snake-like Pokemon jumps out, startling Eddy. "What is that?!"
"It looks like a snake, like the one that attacked me back home." said Ed.
"It was a belt, Ed!" said Edd. The Rotom Pokedex flies out of Edd's backpack and floats in front of the Pokemon.
"Ekans, the Snake Pokemon. The eggs of bird Pokémon are its favorite food. It swallows eggs whole, so sometimes an egg gets stuck, and Ekans faints." said the Rotom Pokedex. Eddy pulls out a pokeball.
"I saw this one first, it's mine!" said Eddy, pulling a pokeball out of his pocket. He then throws it, releasing the Meowth he caught back in Hau'oli City. "Okay, Meowth. Use Fake Out!" Meowth quickly runs up to the Ekans and claps her hands in front of the Ekans' face, releasing a shockwave which makes Ekans fall backwards.
"Good work, Eddy. Now Ekans can't attack for a short while." said Edd.
"Now use Scratch!" said Eddy. Meowth slashes her claws across the Ekans' face. All of a sudden, The Ekans jumps at Meowth, wraps itself around her, and starts to squeeze her tightly.
"Eddy, that's Wrap attack!" said Edd.
"No problem." said Eddy. "Meowth, use Bite!" Meowth opens her mouth and bites down hard on Ekans, forcing it to release its hold. Eddy quickly takes out a pokeball and throws it at the Ekans, hitting it, and sucking it in. The pokeball wiggles for a few seconds before it clicks, indicating a successful capture. Eddy runs over and picks up the pokeball. "Sweet! I caught an Ekans!" Edd looks at the Rotom Pokedex and looks up the Ekans' information.
"This says Ekans is a poison type, it's a boy, he knows Wrap, Leer, and Poison Sting. He has the Shed Skin ability which, if I remember correctly, allows him to cure himself of any status condition he's afflicted with." said Edd. After that, Eddy decides to train his Meowth and Ekans for a while. Meowth learned Fury Swipes, and his Ekans learned Glare. They continue on their way down Route 2. As they did, a boy approached Jimmy.
"Excuse me, do you have Pokemon?" asked the boy.
"Yes." replied Jimmy.
"Want to have a one-on-one Pokemon battle with me?" asked the boy.
"Sure." replied Jimmy. Soon, the two boys were standing several feet from each other while the Eds, and Sarah watched. Jimmy and the boy each pull out a pokeball.
"Inkay, go!" said Jimmy, throwing Inkay's pokeball and releasing her.
"Go, Drifloon!" said the boy, throwing a pokeball and releasing a purple, balloon-like Pokemon. The Rotom Pokedex floats out of Edd's backpack and in front of the Pokemon.
"Drifloon, the Balloon Pokemon. Wandering souls gathered together to form this Pokémon. When trying to make friends with children, Drifloon grabs them by the hand." said the Rotom Pokedex.
"Inkay, Foul Play!" said Jimmy. Inkay floats over to Drifloon and reaches for it with her tentacles.
"Minimize!" said the boy. Drifloon glows a light pink and shrinks, making Inkay miss. "Now use Constrict!" The Drifloon returns to its normal size and wraps its stringy arms around Inkay and began squeezing her. Inkay suddenly begins shaking. "What's going on?"
"Normally, Constrict would lower the speed of the Pokemon it's used on, but thanks to Inkay's Contrary ability, her speed increases instead." said Edd.
"Inkay, Foul Play!" said Jimmy. Inkay quickly grabs Drifloon with her tentacles, making Drifloon release her, and she throws Drifloon onto the ground, dealing super effective damage, knocking Drifloon out.
"Drifloon, oh no!" said the boy.
"Jimmy is the winner." said Edd.
"Yay, Inkay!" said Jimmy. Inkay floats around the air, happily.
"Way to go, Jimmy." said Sarah.
"You did good." said Ed. The boy returns Drifloon to its pokeball and walks over to Jimmy.
"Good battle." said the boy.
"Thanks." said Jimmy. The boy gives Jimmy pokedollars and walks to Hau'oli City.
"Shall we continue?" asked Edd.
"Sure." said Sarah. As they travelled, they trained their Pokemon. Ed's Rowlet learned Razor Leaf, his Grimer learned Acid Spray, and his Furfrou learned Tail Whip. His Yungoos also got strong. Edd's Popplio learned Aqua Jet, his Pikipek learned Supersonic, and Pluck, his Spinarak learned Night Shade, and Magnemite learned Thunder Wave, and Light Screen. Also, during Pikipek's training, he froze up and started to glow.
"Pikipek's evolving!" said Edd. They all watch as Pikipek started to change. When he was done, he was bigger, his beak was longer and orange with some red, and the top of his head was complety black. The Rotom Phone flew in front of Edd's newly evolved Pikipek.
"Trumbeak, the Bugle Beak Pokemon, and the evolved form of Pikipek. From its mouth, it fires the seeds of berries it has eaten. The scattered seeds give rise to new plants." said the Rotom Pokedex.
"Congratulations, Trumbeak." said Edd. "And it looks like you also know Rock Blast."
Eddy's Litten learned Fire Fang, and his Grubbin learned Bug Bite. Sarah's Chansey learned Life Dew, her Ledyba learned Mach Punch, and her Mime Jr learned Mimic. As they continued training, Mime Jr began to glow.
"My Mime Jr's evolving!" said Sarah. The others gathered around as Mime Jr began to grow. When Mime Jr stopped glowing, Mime Jr now had a more humanoid form, she now had what looked like blue clown hair on her head, her head was pale pink, a round white torso with a magenta sphere in the middle, light pink arms and legs connected to her torso by magenta spheres, and dark blue feet. Edd takes out the Rotom Pokedex and it floats in front of the newly evolved Mime Jr.
"Mr Mime, the Barrier Pokemon and the evolved form of Mime Jr. It creates invisible walls with its pantomiming. If you don't act impressed, it will attack you with a double slap!" said the Rotom Pokedex.
"Well, that's stupid. Mr. Mime's a girl, so why call her MR Mime?" asked Sarah.
"I have no clue." replied Edd.
"Well, I'm going to call her Mrs Mime." said Sarah. MRS Mime smiles in respone. After more training, Mrs Mime learned Psywave. Jimmy's Lucario got stronger, his Butterfree learned Poison Powder, Stun Spore, and Sleep Powder, his Inkay learned Swagger, Psywave, and Topsy-Turvy, and his Pichu learned Nasty Plot. Also during the training, Eddy's Meowth and Edd's Pikipek picked up stuff with their Pickup abilities such as a couple of Super Potions and Great Balls. As Eddy looked around some more, his Meowth walks up to him, holding a golden orb.
"What's that?" asked Eddy as he grabs the orb out of Meowth's paw. Edd looks at the orb and recognizes it.
"Try to remain calm, Eddy." said Edd.
"Why?" asked Eddy.
"That thing you're holding is a Nugget." said Edd.
"So?" replied Eddy.
"It's...made of solid gold." said Edd. Eddy started to drool uncontrollably, and dollar signs appeared in his eyes.
"GOLD?!" said Eddy.
"Yes, Eddy. A Nugget can be sold for 5,000 pokedollars at a PokeMart." said Edd.
"I'll hold onto it until we return to Peach Creek! If this is real gold, then I can sell it for a lot of US cash and buy a ton of jawbreakers!" said Eddy. Edd lets out a sigh.
"Some things never change I suppose." said Edd. They walked further until they reached a beachside motel where an elderly man and a purple, crablike Pokemon with blue claws were standing. Curious about the Pokemon, Edd brings out the Rotom Pokedex and it flies over to it.
"Crabrawler, the Boxing Pokemon. Crabrawler has been known to mistake Exeggutor for a coconut tree and climb it. The enraged Exeggutor shakes it off and stomps it."
"Hello, everyone. Welcome to my seaside motel." said the man.
"Hello, sir." said Edd.
"So, we're near a beach right now?" asked Eddy.
"Yes. It's quite the popular spot for Mantine Surfing." said the man.
"Mantine Surfing?" replied Ed.
"Yes. It's quite the popular sport here in Alola. People ride Mantines across the ocean and on the waves. It's quite exhilirating." said the man.
"Is it safe?" asked Edd.
"At first you might fall off from time to time." said the man. "But it doesn't take very long to get the hang of it."
"Cool." said Ed.
"I'll show you where the beach is; you'll probably see some surfers in action." said the man.
"What do you guys think?" asked Eddy.
"Sounds like fun." said Sarah.
"I wanna watch." said Jimmy.
"And we could use a little break I suppose." said Edd.
"Follow me then." said the man. They walk across the motel parking lot until they reach the top of a cliff where they see a path leading down in to a beach where several people were gathered. They all watch as some people were riding on manta ray-like Pokemon. Edd takes out the Rotom Pokedex and points it towards the Pokemon.
"Mantine, the Kite Pokemon, and the evolved form of Mantyke. Many people have taken up surfing because they admire how magnificently Mantine swims." said the Rotom Pokedex. The man points towards the beach.
"That's Big Wave Beach. Melemele Island's surf spot." said the man.
"Let's get a closer look." said Eddy. They all start walking down the path until they reach the beach. "Will you look at this place?" Sarah and Jimmy were looking at people surfing on Mantines excitedly.
"That looks amazing, Sarah!" said Jimmy.
"I know!" replied Sarah. As they watched, a yelling catches Ed's attention.
"You'd better be ready for the mischief masters of Team Skull to do some Mantine Surfing too!" yelled a voice. Ed turns to see two Team Skull members on top of a small sand hill, doing dance moves. As they run down the small hill, a girl in a bikini walks over to them.
"Team Skull, you know you can't ride here." said the girl.
"What's up with that?" asked a Team Skull member. "We look like kids to you or somethin'?"
"The real reason is..." said the girl before the other Team Skull member interupted her.
"Yeah, the real reason is?" asked the Team Skull member.
"Every time you try, you keep doing those ridiculous dance moves even on Mantine's back, and then you end up in the water." said the girl. Ed smiles in amusement from hearing it.
"You want us to stop dancing?! That's our identity, yo! It's all we've got!" exclaimed a Team Skull member.
"Forget her, B." a Team Skull member said to the other.
"We're Team Skull! No one can stop us from acting hardheaded!" said the other Team Skull member. They ran past the girl and to a Mantine floating near the shore and began dancing near it.
"Somebody! Please help keep these numskulls away from Mantine!" exclaimed the girl. Ed runs over to them.
"Hey! Leave that Mantine alone!" yelled Ed, running over to them. One of them turned towards Ed.
"Hey, it's that Ed guy again!" said the Team Skull member. The other member turned around.
"You wanna scrap, big guy?" asked the other Team Skull member.
"You mean a Pokemon battle?" asked Ed.
"Yeah! You may have won at Hau'oli City, but we'll beat you this time." said a Team Skull member. Ed walks back to give some battling room and pulls out a pokeball while a Team Skull member pulls one out too. Edd, Eddy, Sarah, and Jimmy walk over to them.
"These scoundrels again?" said Edd.
"Yep." said Eddy.
"Teach him a lesson, Ed!" said Sarah.
"Yo, let's go, Drowzee!" said the Team Skull member, throwing a pokeball, releasing a Drowzee.
"Grimer, come on out!" said Ed, throwing Grimer's pokeball and releasing him. "Use Acid Spray!" Grimer spits a large drop of purple liquid onto Drowzee, damaging it, and weakening its special defense.
"Drowzee, Pound!" said the Team Skull member. Drowzee runs to Grimer and pounds him on the head.
"Use Bite!" said Ed. Grimer crawls to Drowzee and bites its abdomen, dealing super effective damage. Drowzee collapses to the ground, unconscious.
"No way!" said the Team Skull member.
"Looks like you win, Ed." said Edd.
"Way to go, big brother!" cheered Sarah. The Team Skull member returned Drowzee to its pokeball.
"This one's too strong!" said the Team Skull member. "I've got to make someone else miserable to feel better! Let's mess with Ilima again!"
"I'm down with that! Verdant Cavern's not far!" said the other Team Skull member. The Team Skull member Ed beat threw pokedollars at him and the two Team Skull members run off. Edd, Eddy, Sarah, Jimmy, and the girl walk over to Ed.
"Good work, lumpy." said Eddy.
"That was amazing." said Jimmy.
"Thank you so much for stopping those Team Skull people." said the girl. A shocked look appeared on her face. "Wait. You're Ed from the Lily of the Valley Conference, aren't you?"
"Yep." said Ed. She turned towards Edd, and Eddy.
"And you two are Edd, and Eddy." said the girl.
"You got that right." replied Eddy.
"You three were amazing in Sinnoh." said the girl.
"Thank you." said Edd.
"Are you three here for the Alola League?" asked the girl.
"You bet." said Ed.
"I'll bet you three can take on Captain Ilima's trial, no problem." said the girl.
"My baby sister, Sarah, and her friend, Jimmy over there are going to face the trial, too." said Ed, pointing at Sarah, and Jimmy.
"We're going to compete in the Junior's Division." said Sarah. The girl looks at Sarah and Jimmy, and smiles.
"Well, if you were taught by the Eds, then I have no doubt you'll make it all the way." said the girl. Sarah and Jimmy smile with glee. "And if you five complete this island's trials, I'll let all five of you surf on Mantines. It's a fun way to get from island to island."
"Really?!" asked Eddy. The girl nods. Eddy turns to the others. "Come on, let's get going!" The Eds, Sarah, and Jimmy walk off.
"Wait." said the girl, making the group stop and turn towards her. She walks over to Ed. "I still want to give you something for stopping Team Skull from bothering the Mantine." She leaned towards Ed and kisses him on the cheek. "Thank you." Ed stood there with a stunned look on his face as the girl walks off. A wide smile appeared on Ed's face.
"Come on, monobrow, let's get going." said Eddy. Ed shakes his head and he and the others walk back to Route 2. At the Lemon Brook Juvenile Detention Center, May was sitting at a table in the cafeteria, poking what is assumed to be food on her tray with a spork when she suddenly felt like she was slapped across the face, hard, and falls off her chair, getting Lee, and Marie's attention.
"What's wrong, May?" asked Marie.
"I don't know." said May. Tears formed in her eyes. "But I think it has something to do with my big Ed, and another girl!" Lee snarls and snaps her lunch tray in half.
"That does it! Something's going on with our men!" said Lee.
"What can we do about it?" asked Marie.
"We're busting out of this joint! Then we're going to find our men, and make sure they never think about cheating on us!" said Lee. Meanwhile back in Melemele Island at a Pokemon Center, the Eds, Sarah, and Jimmy were having dinner after they gave the nurse their Pokemon. Meanwhile, Edd was looking at an atlas concerning all known Pokemon regions.
"What are you reading, Double-D?" Sarah asked Edd.
"This atlas I got back at a tourist bureau back in Hau'oli City." said Edd.
"What's so great about it?" asked Eddy.
"It contains the locations and some facts about all known Pokemon regions in the world." said Edd. Eddy looks at the atlas with interest.
"There are other regions besides Sinnoh, Alola, and Kalos?" asked Eddy.
"Yes. There's Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Unova, and all sorts of other regions." said Edd.
"There are that many places that have Pokemon in the world?" asked Jimmy.
"Yes. Perhaps after our time here in Alola, we might consider visiting some of these places someday." said Edd.
"That would be so cool!" said Ed.
"And after the Alola League, we might be even more famous around the world." said Eddy.
"Yes. But for now,we'll focus on the Alola Region." said Edd.
"Yeah." said Eddy. After they ate, they got their Pokemon back, they showered and brushed their teeth (except for Ed), and went right to bed.

Authors' Note: We're thinking of doing another Ed, Edd n' Eddy/Pokemon crossover involving the Kanker Sisters. We'll do a poll of which Pokemon region (except Alola, Sinnoh, or Kalos) to send them.
