DISCLAIMER I DO NOT OWN BROTHERS CONFLICT IN ANYWAY SHAPE OR FORM
"This is so amazing!" Ema kept saying, "we have ourselves a house!"
"Yes, now you can start officially getting all that furniture you've been adding to your wishlist," Miwa said, nudging Natsume, "furniture I'm paying for, am I not? As a generous mother."
"Yes, thank you, Mom," Natsume muttered.
"It's not too late to let me cover the house payment too, I might add," Miwa mentioned.
"Mother, I can handle taking care of my own family, thank you," Natsume insisted.
"I'm super happy for you guys, Ema!" Mie said walking over to her, "we never got a chance to see your house!"
"Yes, and now you can!" Ema said happily.
"And so can we," Miwa added smug, looking towards Natsume.
"Yeah we all can!" Mie said, "we're staying here for a while as is since I'm attending some meetings at one of my family's hotels for my mother. So Subaru and I will have some time to really catch up."
"Does that include Subaru being able to attend one of my appointments to see the babies?" Ema asked.
"That was one of my plans," Subaru said, "since apparently all the other guys have been able to."
"Well hey, how about Iori go with you instead of me, given he's going to Australia soon," Yusuke suggested.
"Thanks Yusuke, that would probably work out better for me," Iori replied kindly to his brother's offer. "Are you sure you don't mind waiting?"
"Oh sure, I don't mind going with any of the other three who haven't," Yusuke insisted.
"As long as it's Louis," he added under his breath.
"It is so cool seeing them on the screen!" Wataru insisted, "the only thing cooler will be when they're actually born!"
Subaru nodded, "it'll be nice to see," he agreed.
"Do you two think you'll have children?" Ema asked.
"Oh yes, I hope we will," Mie said.
"Oh sure," Subaru also said, "I'm sure it's expected of us."
"Plus it'll be nice to have in general, right?" Miwa asked.
"Oh yes," Subaru quickly said.
"Smooth, man," Tsubaki teased, elbowing his brother in the back. Subaru glared at him.
Mie just smiled.
"I know Subaru wants children in his own way, it's just, you know how he is," she whispered.
"Mmm," Ema nodded, "I'm sure you two will have some wonderful children in your own time."
"Yeah, I'm sure he knows this even if I've never brought it up, but I'm certain mother expects us to have children if only so we'll have an heir after me to take over the family business. Since it's pretty obvious at this point that my sisters or my brother will probably settle down and have children legit," Mie whispered.
"Sometimes it's hard being a responsible sibling," Natsume agreed.
"What's that?" Subaru asked.
"Oh nothing, just gossip," Mie said. Subaru gave her an understanding smile and wrapped his arm around her.
"Well anyway, should we get going? Get the honeymoon started?" Haruhi whispered to Tsubaki.
"Let's get it on!" Tsubaki agreed eagerly. He nodded towards Mie.
"Thanks for the hookup at that hotel of yours by the way."
"Of course," Mie said, "I hand picked it out for you two specifically."
"Well let's hope you made a good call," Haruhi taunted, even as she walked over and gave her a thank you hug.
"Hey Tsubaki, Haruhi, before you go, there's some deliveries for you. I told them to come around to the back," Masaomi suddenly called out.
"What kind of deliveries?" Tsubaki asked.
"I believe the delivery men said they were your wedding gifts from Iori and Kyo and Natsume and Ema," Masaomi said.
"Oh! Let's go see!" Haruhi said excited as she and Tsubaki hurried out. Nearly everyone else followed behind them.
"You want to go see too?" Natsume asked Ema.
"Sure if I can stand up," Ema said.
She was a little surprised when Subaru suddenly started to help Natsume to get her to stand.
"Thank you," Ema said as she leaned on Natsume and walked with him, Subaru and Mie to the courtyard.
There they could see the crowd all gathered around the gifts, expressing their excitement.
Suddenly Tsubaki and Haruhi broke free from the group and ran towards Natsume and Ema.
As they did, Ema could see the scooters she and Natsume were able to secure for them, as well as a dance off video arcade game.
"Thank you guys! Those scooters are awesome!" Tsubaki said excited.
"I almost wish we could drive them to the hotel!" Haruhi said.
"Well at least take them on a joy ride around the residence," Natsume suggested.
"Hey he's right!" Haruhi said.
"Yeah! Let's do that!" Tsubaki agreed. He and Haruhi raced back to their gifts.
"Okay everyone stand back, we're taking our new toys out for a spin!" Tsubaki shouted as he and Haruhi each climbed in their respectable scooters and put on their helmets. They both then started up their scooters and drove out of the courtyard.
Several of their family starting cheering as they drove off, hurrying out to the street to watch them drive them around.
As they did, it made it a little easier to see the dance game as well. Natsume and Ema both walked over to get a better look at it.
"It's one of Tsubaki and Haruhi's favorites," Azusa mentioned, standing next to it with Sunako.
"I take it this is Iori and Kyo's present?" Natsume asked.
"Yep, pulled our recourses together to get it and made sure there's be a place to set it up within the residence," Iori confirmed.
"Good work," Natsume praised.
"I actually like doing these kinds of games back when I could," Ema said.
"Well now you'll have more of an excuse to come visit with the babies," Kyo joked, "or maybe get you guys a smaller version as housewarming present."
"Uh, no," Natsume insisted.
"Well why not?" Ema asked.
"I don't think we'll have the room," Natsume explained.
"It'd be smaller and for when the kids are older of course," Kyo said.
Natsume shot her a look, "we'll see," he reluctantly agreed. "In the meantime, we should get Ema home. You're probably feeling tired aren't you?"
"A little yeah," Ema admitted with a yawn.
"Congratulations again on your new home," Azusa said.
"Are you going to want me to start helping you get things pack as part of my daily duties?" Emiko asked as she came up to the couple.
"Oh probably, in due time," Natsume said, "lots to do and figure out. But thank you for being diligent with your help."
"Of course," Emiko said with a smile, "that's what I'm here for."
"We'll all here to help," Yusuke added.
"Yes, thank you Yusuke," Ema said happily.
Just then Tsubaki and Haruhi came back to the courtyard.
"They work great!" Tsubaki called out as he and Haruhi pulled off their helmets, "the article didn't lie!"
"Glad you like them," Ema called back.
"It's not fair!" everyone suddenly heard Shima complain, "Haruhi gets everything! An awesome career, a great husband, hunky brother-in-laws, this big house! And now she has a new scooter and an actual dance game!"
"You don't even like the dance games," Haruhi said.
"So? I bet I won't get something as fancy as that when I get married!" Shima muttered.
"Oh stop being so petty jealous!" Haruhi scolded her sister, "when you marry the right guy, you can get squat and not care! All you'll want is him!"
"Of course that doesn't mean we're not giving these or anything else up," Tsubaki joked.
Shima sneered at him.
"Whatever, can we just go? Aren't they supposed to heading off to their none deserving honeymoon?" she asked annoyed.
"Come on you," Dr. Isao said, escorting his daughter and mother away. His mother turned around one last time and shot Dr. Kazuah's mother one last dirty look. The other woman did the same in full.
"Dad, hurry and take mom home, before she and my mother-in-law get into it again!" poor Dr. Kazuah begged.
Her father quickly obligated.
"Bye Haruhi, Tsubaki, we are very happy for the two of you," Dr. Kazuah made sure to mention.
"Thanks mom," Haruhi said. She sighed as she watched her family.
"Man it's nice to be a part of this family that's not nearly as dramatic as mine is," she said.
"Just wait dear, it'll come," Miwa warned.
"Bring it, at least it'll be interesting," Haruhi said.
"Haruhi's going to be just fine with this family, huh?" Ema said.
"Yeah," Natsume agreed.
Ema was practically half asleep by the time she and Natsume got home. But she had a dreamy smile.
"Chi? What happened to her?" Juli asked.
"Good news during the wedding reception," Natsume said, "we are getting the house."
"You are!" Juli said excited.
"Yes Juli, we have our home! Now all we'll have to worry about is filling it with our children," Ema said as Natsume helped lay her down.
"Wow! That's great!" Juli said, " when do we start moving in?"
"One thing at a time," Natsume said, "we're supposed to go sign the paperwork Monday."
"And then we'll have to set about getting furniture mother offered and go through our things to see what we keep and what we should get rid of," Ema mentioned softly.
She looked down at the couch she was resting on.
"Do you think it's possible to keep this?" she asked.
"I suppose, but why?" Natsume asked.
"Well we have a history with it, it means something," Ema said, "Maybe we can have it set up in our room."
"Hmm maybe, it might be nice to have a spare place to rest should one of us have to work late or just need a place to flop down while taking care of the babies. We'll see if we can," Natsume promised.
"We'll be keeping the desk though right?" Ema said.
"Well yeah, that shouldn't be too hard to keep," Natsume said, "plus we'll get to see about getting you a desk and computer to do work at home."
"But I work just fine with my laptop," Ema insisted.
"Yeah but, you should have an actual work space, in case say you want to stay home for the kids or something," Natsume explained.
"I suppose," Ema agreed.
"You should have your own work space Chi!" Juli insisted.
"Hmm, you're both sweet to care," Ema managed to say before falling asleep.
Natsume smiled as he draped a blanket over her, and made she sure was in a safe position, before setting up the floor for himself.
"Going to sleep already?" Juli asked.
"The ceremony was long and tiresome," Natsume said, "even if it wasn't for Tsubaki's wedding."
"He and his new wife make that much of a fuss?" Juli asked.
"Not so much them, but her family. Her sister's going through an apparent rebellious phase and can't tone it down for nothing. And her two grandmothers apparently hate it each so much, they had to be kept separated the whole time. They still managed to keep sending each other death glares at each other," Natsume explained.
"It's actually times like this that I'm thankful Ema and I came from the same family and I don't have to worry about crazy inlaws."
"Hmm, I suppose," Juli said.
Natsume yawned as he laid down.
"All in all it was a nice evening, and I have no doubt Tsubaki and Haruhi will be happy together. And I really can't wait to move Ema and myself into our new house so we can get fully ready for our family."
"Well good for you," Juli said as he watched both his human friends sleep.
"And just sign these last few forms and the house is officially yours," Mr. Ejento said handing Natsume a couple of forms.
Natsume made sure to read it over. Everything appeared to be in order.
"Thank you," he said as he signed. He handed the pen to Ema who signed too.
"Glad we could get you guys situated before you gave birth," Ms. Doin mentioned, as gathered and sorted out some of the other paperwork.
"Us too, we'll need the space for sure," Ema said.
"I hope you have all the space you'll ever need for the full family," Old Mr. Ihito said as he and his children sat in corner of the room, watching the transaction go through.
His son and daughter both shared a look and a nod before his son spoke up.
"So dad, now that the house is officially Mr. and Mrs. Asahina's, there should be no problem with removing the tree out front, right?"
"What? This again?" the old man asked looking between his children.
"Dad, the tree is unsafe. It has to go, it's it time," His daughter insisted.
"Plus it's not our home anymore, it's the Asahinas' and we should allow them to move into their new house with no worries about its safety," his son added.
"But," Mr Ihito tried to argue, before giving a heavy sigh. "I always liked that tree. It was just as much a part of the house as the structure of it itself."
"We know dad, we like the tree too," His daughter said.
"But it's not safe anymore, it hasn't been for a while. And if we want the Asahina to fully feel safe and secure in their house, especially with four babies on the way, we need to take their needs into consideration. And that includes cutting down the tree," his son explained.
Mr. Ihito looked over at Natsume and Ema.
"Well if it means a better home for them, then alright, do what you must," he finally agreed.
"If it means anything, we were planning on planting a new tree in its place, probably a similar one," Ema mentioned.
"Really?" Mr. Ihito said looking a little better.
"Yes, the house just doesn't seem complete without a tree outside of it," Natsume said, "so we were going to see about planting a new one, once we got situations figured for us and the babies."
"Oh, how wonderful are you people!" Mr. Ihito said delighted, "I knew I was picking the right people!"
"Thank you," Ema said.
Young Mr. Ihito slid over to Natsume.
"I'll start getting to work on having the tree removed, don't worry about it," he said.
"Thank you," Natsume said.
"And now that is all squared," Mr. Ejento handed Natsume a set of keys. "Congratulations on your new home!"
Ema smiled at her husband who rubbed her shoulder in comfort.
"Can we go look at it again?" Ema whispered.
"Why not? Might as well enjoy a moment to ourselves in our home before its taken over by our brothers," Natsume said as he helped her stand up.
"I'm sure they'll respect our privacy," Ema defended them.
"You have met our brothers before, haven't you?" Natsume asked.
As Ema and Natsume drove to their new house, Ema kept glancing around the neighborhood, and surrounding areas.
"I wonder when and how we'll start meeting some of our new neighbors? I hope they like us."
"Why wouldn't they? At least you," Natsume said.
Ema smiled at him, "why wouldn't they like you?"
"Because I'll probably be the kind of neighbor that'll be all about keeping other people's kids or objects off our lawn. Asking them to keep their music down, that sort of thing," Natsume explained.
"Well, try not being that way, try being just a regular kind of guy who just wants to live his life day to day enjoying his life with his family in his home," Ema encouraged.
"I'll, try," Natsume admitted.
"Thank you," Ema said. She managed to get her head over just enough to kiss his cheek.
Just then they once again pulled up to the house.
The two of them just sat in their car looking up at it.
"Our home," Ema said softly, "our home to raise our kids in!"
"It sounds when you say that," Natsume said as he finally got out of the car.
Ema also managed to get out and walk with him towards the front door. Both looked at each other and nodded before Natsume went and unlocked the door and push opened the door.
He and Ema looked inside at the vast empty room before them.
"Well, are we going in?" Ema asked.
She noticed Natsume studying her.
"I'm just trying to figure out if and how I can help carry you across the threshold like I'm supposed to," he mentioned.
"Oh, right," Ema said looking down at her huge womb.
"Well we could try going through the back yard not use the front door until after I give birth?" she suggested.
Natsume chuckled.
"Come here you," he said as he took her hand and led her across the threshold and into the house.
He led her to the center of the living room and kissed her.
"That counts for something right?" he asked, "besides I carried you on our honeymoon."
Ema giggled remembering that night.
Then she looked around the living room.
"This is it, this is truly it! Our home! Our House! All ours!" she exclaimed excited.
"Yep, our home," Natsume said.
"How soon do you think we can start getting it filled with the furniture mother promised?" Ema asked, still excited.
"I guess once mom can start getting it here," Natsume said. "Speaking of which."
He quickly headed up to stairs. Ema did her best to keep up and followed him up to the master bedroom.
She saw Natsume looking around the room, once again with a pondering face.
"I think, we should be able to keep that old couch and have it here in the bedroom if we want," he mentioned.
"Great!" Ema said happily.
"Yes, it'll be nice to keep it rather than find a way to get rid of it," Natsume said.
"Will that work if we end up having to let three of the babies use this room?" Ema asked.
"I think so," Natsume said, "I'm sure they'd like having a place to sit rather than just their beds as they grow, and it'll help us as we take care of them during their first few years."
"Oh good," Ema said, "Mmm, I just can't wait! I almost wish we could fill it with furniture and have the babies right now! I just suddenly feel so ready!"
"Well you'll just have to be patient," Natsume said calmly, "all good things will come as we wait."
"You're right," Ema said.
"Come on, let's go back to our current home," Natsume said. "we'll be able to make plans for our new one there."
Ema nodded and the two headed.
She waited for Natsume to lock the door again before walking to the car.
"When shall we let the landlord know we're moving?" Ema asked.
"I'll let him know tomorrow, see how long we can stay, take care of last bit of rent and finances for it," Natsume assured her.
When they got home, Ema paused in the entry way, glancing around.
"It seems so small compared to the new house," she mentioned. "But I'm still going to miss it. It might have been nice to have a family here if only for a short while. We could have made it work with at least one for a while."
"Yeah it could have," Natsume agreed, "but if we wanted more, we would have needed to get a bigger place eventually. You didn't really want to spend the rest of our lives here, did you?"
"Well, maybe," Ema said, "I kinda liked having our own place together, just the two of us."
"You can be a slight romantic when you want to be," Natsume said, kissing the back of her head.
"So, is it ours?" Juli suddenly asked from the table. The cats were next to it looking at them .
"Yes, we're officially home owners," Natsume said holding up the paperwork.
"Good!" Juli said, "now we can start getting ready to move!"
"One thing at a time," Natsume said.
"Think you can take everything with you?" Juli asked.
"I actually think so," Natsume said looking around, "we actually don't have that much as is. We didn't need much. The only reason we need so much more is because we're expecting four. It was kind of nice actually."
"You're not feeling overwhelmed again are you?" Ema asked, as she sat down.
"Oh I'm always feeling overwhelmed at this point. Just gotten better at hiding it," Natsume explained.
"Well don't keep it bottled up ony account. I don't want to see you explode," Ema said.
"Never," Natsume said, "I know how to release my stress." He walked to Ema and knelt down in front of her with a smile. "one just being with, talking with you. Your voice is very comforting."
The two rested each other's forehead up together. Ema could also feel Natsume's hand on her womb. She hoped Natsume was telling the truth about relieving his stress with everything going on.
"Wow, that is amazing," Subaru said as he observed the ultrasound screen.
He looked honestly awestruck at the sight of the four babies' images.
Iori also looked amazed at the screen.
"It's amazing how easily it is to see them in full," he mentioned, "though would I be right in assuming it's getting a little crowded in there?"
"You would be correct," Dr. Senyu concurred, "but that's to be expected. Hence why we'll be delivering early."
"Are they going to be safe for the time being?" Subaru asked.
"They look that way," Dr. Senyu assured him, "I've done this before Mr. Asahina, I know what to look out for."
"Oh, right," Subaru said.
"I'm always feeling the same way," Natsume assured him.
Subaru nodded. He and Natsume could both see Dr. Senyu looking at Subaru with awe.
"I can't believe I get to meet you in person! I love watching you play!" he said, almost going a little fanboy.
"Oh, thank you," Subaru said sheepishly.
"There's a lounge I sometimes go to, a lot of other doctors go to actually that plays your games. And believe me, we're all massive fans!" Dr. Senyu said, "I, don't suppose you could come by for a a few seconds?"
"Oh," Subaru sputtered. He looked towards Ema and Natsume, "I was going to...,"
"You can meet us at the house later," Ema assured him. "We'll be there showing Mom Dad and Mie anyway."
"Please do this for him, we owe him," Natsume asked.
"Okay, I suppose I could stop by," Subaru agreed.
"Oh thank you!" Dr. Senyu said excited, only to suddenly calm himself down. "I'll just take care of everything here and we'll head out. Thank you, Mr. Asahina."
"Sure," Subaru said.
He walked out of the examining room with his brothers and Ema to the lobby.
"I'll just wait here for the doctor and head over to the lounge with him. I'll try and meet up at your new place," Subaru said.
"Thanks for doing that for Dr. Senyu," Ema said, "I didn't realize he was such a basketball fan."
"Yes, we didn't think he was a type to go crazy for a celebrity," Natsume said, "he didn't seem phased when Futo came to see the babies."
"Looks like you're getting to be a little more popular than him," Iori joked.
"Don't tell him that," Subaru insisted.
Iori nodded. "I'm not Tsubaki, you know that."
"Have a safe trip Iori," Subaru said with a smirk.
"Thank you," Iori said as he walked out of the clinic with Natsume and Ema.
"You won't be gone too long, will you?" Ema asked.
"Oh no, a week at most," Iori said, "this is a mere visit, not a full on research expedition like last time. Kyo and I will be back in no time."
"Well I hope you have fun," Ema said.
"We will, we both enjoy Australia," Iori said, "thanks for letting me come see the babies before I left. Hopefully next time I see them, it'll be in the flesh."
"They'll like that," Ema said, "they'll like seeing all their uncles in person."
Iori smiled, rubbing Ema's belly in the process.
"Take care all of you," he said as he got into his car and drove away.
"He'd be one I'd consider being named actual guardian to the babies should something happen to us," Natsume said as he led Ema to their car.
"You mean, you want Iori to be the godfather?" Ema asked.
"No, we can't name one specific brother out of the 12, I know that much," Natsume explained as and Ema got in. "I've asked Rika and Ukyo to have it that they become wards of the Sunrise Residents, so that way they'll always be looked after. Because no matter which of our brothers are living there, they'll look after and care for our children no matter what. I trust them all with that."
"Oh yeah, that works," Ema said. "I should have been thinking about that before myself."
"You got plenty to think about as is," Natsume said, eyeing her ever growing womb. "But I guess I could have mentioned that to you before all this. Sorry, I'm just use to handling these kinds of things myself."
"It's okay, especially if it's a good idea," Ema assured him.
She knew Natsume was right. There was no way their brothers wouldn't look out for the wellbeing of their children, no matter how they did it.
When Natsume and Ema return to their new house, they found Miwa, Rintaro and Mie there already waiting for them. They were standing on the front lawn talking casually.
"Hi!" Mie said, waving at them as they approach.
"How was your appointment?"
"It went well, the babies are still healthy and growing," Ema said looking down at her womb.
"Good," Miwa said as she rubbed Ema's womb herself. "I want to hold all four of those little angels when they're born!"
"You guys ready to see the inside of the house?" Natsume asked as he headed to the front door.
"Oh yeah!" Rintaro said following.
"Where's Subaru?" Mie asked.
"Oh, turns out our doctor is a big fan of his, and asked him to come to a sports bar to meet a few of his friends who are also fans of Subaru," Ema said, "Subaru said yes as a favor to us."
"That's nice of him, Subaru sure seems to respect his fans a lot," Mie said as Natsume opened the door.
The five all quickly walked in.
"Wow, it's so spacious!" Mie said, "Yet it feels safe and cozy! I like it!"
"Yes, it does appear to be solid enough," Miwa said as she knocked against a wall. She then began scanning the living room with a fierce look.
"Hmm, yes, I can see it all now," she said, "I can tell you the best places to put the couch, tv and any other little tidbits you'll want to add. Including a dance game if needed."
Natsume groaned.
Miwa ignored him and instead headed to the dinging area. "Oh I can so see where and how the table should go!"
"Mom, we'd like to decorate our home they way we see fit," Natsume said.
"And I you will, it's just I have the better solutions for it," Miwa said smug.
"What's this room? Just a spare?" Rintaro asked looking into the home office.
"It can be, or a play room, but we're thinking of using it as a home office for the two of us," Natsume said.
"For both of you?" Mie asked as she and Ema joined them.
"Either that or we turn the closet over there into for for just Ema," Natsume said, pointing to the door.
Miwa opened and looked around.
"Kind of small, isn't it?" she asked.
"Oh I don't need that much space as is, especially after the babies are born," Ema insisted.
"Hmm, we'll see," Miwa said, "well no matter, why don't we go see the bedrooms?"
"Oh sure, this way," Natsume said leading to the staircase. He let the three walk up first as he waited for Ema and help guide her up as well.
Mie was waiting for them at the top.
"You're such a gentleman to Ema, Natsume," she said, "No wonder Subaru always seems to admire you the most."
Natsume looked at her in surprise.
"He does?" he asked. He didn't think Subaru still looked at him like that. Granted they got along better, but he was certain Subaru didn't see him like he had as a child.
'Guess I'll have to try harder to live up to his expectations this time,' he thought.
"I'm liking what I'm seeing with these bedrooms," Miwa declared.
"Yeah, they're nice and big, much like the rest of the house," Rintaro said. "Especially the master bedroom."
"Natsume was thinking that if we have three babies of the same gender, we can let them have it and we'll take one of the smaller ones."
"Oh, make it a little cozy huh?" Rintaro mocked.
"Cozy isn't exactly going to be in our agenda anytime soon," Natsume muttered.
"Well, luckily for you, you'll have a slew of eager and willing babysitters at your disposal," Miwa said smug.
"I wouldn't mind getting to watch the little ones! If only we didn't live so far away!" Miwa said. "You're always welcome to send them our way for a visit of course!"
"Of course, they'll need a good relationship with all their uncles and aunts!" Ema said.
Mie squeezed her hands with delight, only to be interrupted by her phone.
"Oh dear," she said as pulled it out and answered alone.
"Well, I suppose the only thing left is to start getting this house filled with your new furniture," Miwa said, "I'll start making the calls and arrangements right away."
"Thank you Mother!" Ema said.
"Think nothing of it my darling, anything for my favorite daughter, and her husband," Miwa said.
"Still your biological son here," Natsume muttered.
"And yet you don't appreciate me," Miwa replied.
"That was Subaru," Mie said as she hung up her phone, "it appears your doctor and his friends are keeping him occupied at their spots lounge. So he may not be able to join us tonight and he's wondering if he can come see the house tomorrow?"
"Of course he can, we can meet after one or both of us get off work," Ema said.
"Oh good!" Mie said, "then maybe we can go to dinner afterwards!"
"Dinner sounds nice," Natsume agreed, "it'll be your last night here before heading home, right?"
"Yes! And we'll want to have a nice dinner with some family before we go," Mie insisted.
"Alright, it's agreed then, Subaru can continue to enjoy his fan club and see the house tomorrow," Rintaro joked.
"It'll be a good day tomorrow," Mie said.
"Thanks for the pointers today during the shoot," Keitorin said as she and Ema left their building the next day after work.
"They were mere suggestions, you were doing fine on your own," Ema instead.
"I know, but I like having you there as a sort of guide. You're kind like my Yoda," Keitorin said.
"Yoda? Really?" Subaru suddenly asked as Ema and Keitorin both suddenly realized he was standing just ahead of them.
"Subaru, hi!" Ema said, "a little surprised to see you here!"
"Natsume text me that he's going to be running late due to a meeting and that I should just meet up with you and go to with you to house. He and Mie can just meet us there after both their meetings."
"Oh, okay, come on!" Ema insisted as she led her brother away. "See you later Keitorin."
"Bye, have fun," Keitorin waved back as she headed to her own car. "See you this weekend."
"What's happening this weekend?" Subaru asked as he followed Ema to her car.
"Oh Natsume spoke to our landlord yesterday after we showed Mother, Pap and Mie the house about us moving. He asked if we could see about possibly getting everything out in two weeks or so, so he can get the apartment ready for a new tenet. He said he may a have potential new renter. So Natsume asked several of our brothers if they can come help move some things this weekend."
"Oh sorry I can't be there to help," Subaru said.
"Don't worry about it, I know you got to get home and whatnot. I'm sure not all the brothers are going to come," Ema said. She paused just as they reached her car.
"Don't you have a car?" she asked Subaru.
Subaru looked embarrassed. "No, I was driven here by one of Mie's," he paused, "family cars, with chauffeur."
"Oh," Ema said.
"Yeah, I told him to just drop me off here and I'd go with you to the house," Subaru explained.
Ema nodded, "let's go then."
"Has it been hard driving with your body the way it is?" Subaru asked as they drove.
"Nah, not too much," Ema insisted, "though it is getting there. I'll probably won't be able to drive by the time they come."
"Hmm," Subaru nodded in understanding.
The two drove in until finally arriving at the house.
"Wow, looks impressive," Subaru mentioned as they headed in.
"Yes! Natsume and I are very happy with it! Can't wait to have it filled with the babies!" Ema said as she led Subaru around, showing him the various rooms and spaces.
"It's nice here," Subaru said once they were done and were standing at the back door looking out towards the backyard. "I'm sure you and Natsume will make this a happy loving home for your little ones."
"Thanks," Ema said, "I wonder if we should consider adding a basketball net of sorts possibly for the kids."
Subaru chuckled, "Maybe I can send you guys a little kids one or...,"
He suddenly paused. "wait, do you hear something?"
Ema looked around nervous, hearing a slight crinkling sound.
"What's, that?" she asked cautiously.
"Wait here," Subaru said as he ran to the front of the house.
Ema watched as he looked out the living room window.
Suddenly he was running like mad back towards her.
"Move! Move!" he shouted.
"What!" Ema asked right before Subaru grabbed her arm and started to pull her to the back door fast.
"We got to get out!" Subaru tried to explain, "Before...!"
CRASH!
