Onward to Lumiose City
As the four (five if you count Plank) travel down Route 4, the boys take the time to take in the scenery because they didn't really get a good chance to due to them travelling through their too quickly when they were in Professor Sycamore's jeep.
"Dudes. Look at all the hedge mazes." said Kevin.
"Cool." said Jonny.
"Rolf is also astounded by all the shrubbery." said Rolf. Nazz points to a nearby flower bed.
"That's where I found my Flabebe." said Nazz.
"Rad." said Kevin. While they travel, they all take the time to train their Pokemon some more. During the training, Jonny's Chespin learned Leech Seed, his Zigzagoon learned Sand Attack, Kevin's Fletchling learned Agility, Nazz's Litleo learned Noble Roar, and Rolf's Bunnelby learned Take Down. During the training, Jonny's Zigzagoon found a Super Potion, an Antidote, and a Great Ball while Rolf's Bunnelby found a Super Potion and a Full Heal thanks to their Pickup abilities. During the training, Jonny's Chespin, Rolf's Fennekin, and Kevin's Froakie began to glow.
"Check it out! Our Pokemon are evolving!" said Kevin. The group gathered to watch the three Kalos starters evolving. When Chespin stopped glowing, his body was round and green, except for his legs, which were a dark brown, the lower half of his arms, which were also dark brown, and his face was each side of his head has a green quill that was orange on the end of it, he now had a green tail with a reddish-tip, he had a pointed snout that was pink on the end, and he had three white claws on each side of his arms.
"Wow!" said Jonny. He points the pokedex at the newly evolved Chespin.
"Quilladin, the Spiny Armor Pokemon, and the evolved form of Chespin. They strengthen their lower bodies by running into one another. They are very kind and won't start fights." said the pokedex.
"Right on!" said Jonny. Rolf's Fennekin now stood on two feet, her legs were black, her arms were white, her torso fur was still yellow, but it was like a skirt; the tufts of fur coming out of her ears were longer, and she had a stick in her tail. Rolf grabs the pokedex from Jonny and points it his newly evolved Fennekin.
"Braixen, the Fox Pokemon, and the evolved form of Fennekin. When the twig is plucked from its tail, friction sets the twig alight. The flame is used to send signals to its allies." said the pokedex.
"Plank doesn't like the part of wood being on fire." said Jonny.
"Rolf is pleased with his evolved Pokemon." said Rolf. Kevin's Froakie now stood upright, he was taller, he had a blue mask over the top half of his head, his hands were different shades of blue, and the bubble collar around his neck was longer and extended behind his back. Kevin grabs the pokedex from Rolf and points it at his newly evolved Froakie.
"Frogadier, the Bubble Frog Pokemon, and the evolved form of Froakie. Its swiftness is unparalleled. It can scale a tower of more than 2,000 feet in a minute's time." said the pokedex.
"Awesome." said Kevin.
"Evolution is so cool." said Nazz. They soon got another evolution when Kevin's Spewpa evolved into Vivillon.
"Whoa!" said Jonny. Kevin looks at the pokedex.
"Looks like Vivillon learned Gust." said Kevin. As Nazz looks around, she sees a humanoid Pokemon with a purple body, a blue dome with an orange horn coming out of the front and back of it covering the top of its head.
"I think I've seen this Pokemon in Double-D's pokedex the day they came back from Sinnoh." said Nazz as she grabs the pokedex from Kevin and points it at the Pokemon.
"Ralts, the Feeling Pokemon. It is highly attuned to the emotions of people and Pokémon. It hides if it senses hostility." said the pokedex.
"This Pokemon is what Double-D's Gallade used to be. But why are its colors different than the one Double-D showed me?" asked Nazz.
"I don't know. Maybe it's sick?" suggested Kevin.
"Maybe we should try capturing it and bring it to Professor Sycamore when we get to Lumiose City; he'll probably know something." suggested Jonny.
"So who will catch this Ralts?" asked Rolf. While they were talking, the Ralts walks over to Nazz and looks up at her. Everyone notices this.
"Whoa. That Ralts just came up to you, Nazz." said Kevin. Nazz stoops down to the Ralts and smiles.
"Hey, little dude." said Nazz. The Ralts tilts its head to the side, making Nazz gush at how cute it was. "That's so cute."
"Maybe it wants to join you?" suggested Jonny.
"Oh I wouldn't mind having this cutie on my team." said Nazz. Ralts then smiles at Nazz who smiles back at it. She takes out a pokeball and holds it out to the Ralts, who pokes the button on it to make it bigger, and a second time to allow itself to be captured. After the pokeball wiggles a few times, it clicks, indicating a successful capture.
"Cool. You didn't even have to battle it." said Jonny.
"Well I didn't have to battle my Flabebe to capture her." said Nazz. She looks at the pokedex at her new Ralts' information. "This says that my Ralts is actually a dudette, she's part psychic and part fairy, she knows Tackle and Confusion, and she has the Synchronize ability which makes it if a Pokemon causes her to be poisoned, paralyzed, or burned; that Pokemon will be that way too. Now that's totally fair."
"Good work, Nazz." said Kevin.
"And I remember from Double-D that a Ralts has two different final evolutions. A Gallade like he has, or a Gardevoir, which I hope I get because that Pokemon looks beautiful." said Nazz.
"Well you shouldn't worry about that, Nazz." said Kevin. "I remember from Double-D that only a male Ralts can become a Gallade. And a Ralts doesn't need that Dawn Stone thing to become a Gardevoir."
"Awesome!" said Nazz. She spent her time training her new Ralts. She soon learned Double Team and Teleport. Nazz suddenly heard some flowers rustling. She looks at the flowers and saw a pink, kitten-like Pokemon walking out of them. "So cute!" She points the pokedex at the Pokemon.
"Skitty, the Kitten Pokemon. It shows its cute side by chasing its own tail until it gets dizzy." said the pokedex.
"Well, I don't think this cutie has an ugly side." said Nazz. She pulls Flabebe's Great Ball out of her pocket. "I'll give Ralts a rest. Flabebe, let's go." She throws Flabebe's Great Ball and releases her. Skitty leaps towards Flabebe and claps her front paws together, creating a shock wave that hits Flabebe, causing her to flinch.
"You okay, little dudette?" asked Nazz. Flabebe nods. "Awesome. Now use Razor Leaf!" Flabebe twirls her flower and releases green leaves from it and they hit Skitty. Skitty leaps at Flabebe and wags its tail onto her.
"Watch it, Nazz, I think that was Tail Whip. It weakens a Pokemon's defense." said Kevin.
"Okay. Flabebe, Fairy Wind!" said Nazz. Flabebe flies around Skitty, unleashing pink dust onto it, hurting it. As it tries to stay on its paws, Nazz takes an empty pokeball out of her backpack, enlarges it, and throws it at the Skitty, hitting it. It gets sucked into the pokeball and after it wiggled around a few times, it clicks, indicating Skitty's capture. "Awesome. I caught a Skitty."
"Way to go, Nazz." said Kevin. Nazz uses the pokedex to learn more about her new Skitty. "Okay. This says Skitty's a girl, she's a normal type, she knows Fake Out, Growl, Tail Whip, Tackle, Foresight, and Attract. She has the Cute Charm ability, which has the chance of making a Pokemon that attacks her physically to be attracted to her, so I guess that ability will only work on male Pokemon. So, what now?"
"I think we've done enough for now." said Kevin. "Let's go to Lumiose City and take our Pokemon to the Pokemon Center."
"Yeah. Let's have something to eat while we're there." said Jonny.
"Yes. Rolf is feeling a little famished." said Rolf. As they near the entrance to Lumiose City, the boys take the time to check out the fountain.
"Check out this awesome-looking fountain, Plank." said Jonny as he points Plank's face towards the fountain.
"We wouldn't see something like this back in Peach Creek." said Kevin.
"Double-D was right. This Pokemon journey is a great way to see the world." said Nazz.
"Yeah." said Kevin. After a minute, the group enters Lumiose City.
