30 Worlds: Royal Megaforce, Episode Final: "Masters of the Ultimate Power"

BOOK THREE*CHAPTER SIX

William and Koska were in William's Jeep, approaching where Agent Brandt was located. "Lady Mal to King William," a voice said through the Jeep's comm system.

"Go ahead, Mal," William said.

A holographic window opened on William's windshield, on which rested Mal and Benji.

"William, Agent Dunn and I are at the rendezvous point," Mal said.

Benji added, "We're just waiting on you to arrive before we go in to speak to Bill."

"A logical approach, Agent Dunn," Koska said. "It is always best when one is in an untenable position with no support to await it before entering the action zone."

"Thank you, Koska," Benji said.

"We'll be there in five minutes," William said. "Stay in position unless you are forced to break cover."

"Acknowledged, Your Majesty," Mal said. "Mal, out."

William returned his attention to the road as the comm window closed. Koska looked on as William continued to drive.

"J.O.D.I.E., what are the current weather conditions?" William asked.

"Current weather conditions read as a temperature of 76.7 degrees Fahrenheit, clear skies and good air quality," a voice said.

"Perfect," William said. "J.O.D.I.E., retract roof until we arrive at the rendezvous point."

The roof of the Jeep began to retract as Koska cocked an eyebrow. "'J.O.D.I.E.?'" she asked.

"When I acquired this vehicle in the Unaligned World of Cobra Kai, it was retrofitted with a variant of the E.R.I.N. artificial intelligence system used on the Enterprise," William said. "The acronym stands for Jeep Operations, Defense and Intelligence Examiner. The J.O.D.I.E. System was installed in case missions required me to be out of range of E.R.I.N.'s quantum entanglement communicator."

"Ah," Koska said.

As the Jeep pulled up to the rendezvous point, the Jeep's roof returned to its closed position. Koska read a nearby sign, which noted where they were. "'Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame,'" she read.

William made a weapon and holster appear and clipped them to the belt around his waist. Koska looked at the belt. "What is that?" she asked, gesturing to a small case that was attached to the belt on William's right hip.

"Focus on the mission," William said. "When we get back to Gavan's Glory II, I'll tell you everything you need to know. Although it is more likely you'll find out right here—it's only a matter if the A.I.C. are around."

"As you wish, Battle-Father," Koska responded.

"J.O.D.I.E., send a text message to Mal's Mobilates letting her and Agent Dunn know we're here," William said.

"Understood," J.O.D.I.E. said.

As J.O.D.I.E. set to work, William looked at Koska and smiled. "Now we wait," William said.

Koska nodded then sat cross-legged on the ground. "Battle-Father, you've been on edge since I saw you in the control room on Gavan's Glory II when we called you about Agent Brandt's information," Koska said. "May I speak freely?"

"I have come to rely on the King's Hand for advice in all matters," William said. "Speak free."

"Thank you," Koska said. "As a Night Owl, I was taught by Bo-Katan to be observant to the behavior of those I go into battle with...and those I go into battle against. In the moment you walked into the control room, I noticed that you had a lot on your mind."

William shook his head. "I had just found out that Queen Sofia is pregnant," he said. "But the fetus is under a magical enchantment that would prevent it from developing further until all thirty Grand key components were acquired."

"I am happy for you, Battle-Father...but also concerned for Battle-Mother's well-being," Koska said.

"I appreciate your well-wishes, Koska, but I am sure Sofia will be all right," William said. "The worry I have is more about protecting the child. It is Sofia's and my belief that our unborn child is the Grand key that will allow us to defeat Xur and the A.I.C. once and for all."

"Oh" was all that Koska said.

"Yeah," William responded.

A voice crackled over William's communicator. "King William, this is Dunn! Lady Mal and I are pinned down in the museum! We need help!" Benji said.

"This is Koska Reeves, Agent Dunn," Koska said. "King William and I are on our way!"

William ran up to the door of the museum and used his sonic screwdriver to gain access to the museum. William and Koska rushed in, unsure of what was going on.
