Camphrier Town
Back on Route 5, Nazz was in a facing off against a young boy in a Pokemon Battle. She had her Flabebe out, while her opponent had a Pancham.
"Okay, Flabebe. Use Fairy Wind!" said Nazz. Flabebe releases a gust of pink wind from her flower which hits Pancham, causing super effective damage, and knocking it out.
"Pancham, no!" said the boy.
"You did it, Nazz!" said Jonny.
"Good work, Nazz girl!" said Rolf.
"Awesome!" said Kevin. Nazz turns to the boys and smiles. The boy she was battling returns his Pancham to its pokeball.
"You did your best, Pancham." said the boy. He then walks over to Nazz, and hands her pokedollars. "You're a strong trainer."
"Thanks, little dude." said Nazz as she smiles at him, making the boy blush. After the boy walks away, Kevin, Rolf, and Jonny go over to Nazz.
"That was an awesome battle, Nazz." said Kevin.
"Thanks, Kevin." said Nazz. They also spent some time training their Pokemon for a while as well. Kevin's Froakie learned Smokescreen, his Fletchling and Vivillon got a little stronger, his Pansear learned Yawn, and his Bulbasaur learned Take Down. Also, while Kevin was training, his Fletchling and Bulbasaur both began glowing.
"Hey! My Fletchling and Bulbasaur are evolving!" said Kevin.
"Awesome." said Nazz. They gathered around Fletchling and Bulbasaur. When they stopped glowing, Fletchling was now bigger, his beak was longer, and his wings were black and yellow. Bulbasaur was bigger and the bulb on his back was replaced with a large, pink flower bud surrounded by leafy fronds.
"Radical." said Kevin. He takes out the pokedex and points it at his newly evolved Fletchling.
"Fletchinder, the Ember Pokemon, and the evolved form of Fletchling. The hotter the flame sac on its belly, the faster it can fly, but it takes some time to get the fire going." said the pokedex. Kevin then points it at his newly evolved Bulbasaur. "Ivysaur, the Seed Pokemon, and the evolved form of Bulbasaur. When the bud on its back starts swelling, a sweet aroma wafts to indicate the flower's coming bloom."
"This is so cool, two evolutions at once!" said Kevin. Rolf's Braixen learned Fire Spin, his Bunnelby learned Mud Shot, his Pidgey learned Whirlwind, his Beedrill learned Rage, his Skiddo learned Leech Seed, Razor Leaf, and Worry Seed, and his Squirtle learned Bite. Also, during Rolf's training, Pidgey and Squirtle both started to glow.
"Rolf's Pidgey and Squirtle are evolving!" said Rolf. They all watch as Pidgey and Squirtle started to change. When they were done, Rolf's Pidgey was bigger and has red plumage on her head, along with red and yellow tail feathers. Squirtle was a little bigger, he was a darker shade of blue, he had what looked like wings on the sides of his head, and his tail was wavy. Rolf grabs the pokedex from Kevin and points it at his newly evolved Pidgey.
"Pidgeotto, the Bird Pokemon, and the evolved form of Pidgey. Very protective of its sprawling territorial area, this Pokémon will fiercely peck at any intruder." said the pokedex. Rolf then points the pokedex at his newly evolved Squirtle. "Wartortle, the Turtle Pokemon, and the evolved form of Squirtle. It is said to live 10,000 years. Its furry tail is popular as a symbol of longevity."
"That's so cool, Rolf." said Jonny.
"Yes. Rolf is pleased." said Rolf. During Jonny's training, Jonny's Quiladin, Zigzagoon, Charmeleon, and Gulpin got stronger, his Butterfree learned Gust, and his Panpour learned Water Sport. Zigzagoon found two Super Potions, and a Great Ball with his Pickup ability. They suddenly hear rustling coming from some nearby bushes and they see a white, furry, doglike Pokemon emerging from them. Kevin takes out the pokedex and points it at the Pokemon.
"Furfrou, the Poodle Pokemon. Historically, in the Kalos region, these Pokémon were the designated guardians of the king." said the pokedex.
"I've seen this kind of Pokemon in Lumiose City. People groom them with a lot of different styles." said Nazz.
"Maybe you should catch one, Nazz." said Jonny.
"Awesome idea, Jonny." said Nazz as she lets out her Litleo. "Okay, Litleo. Use Headbutt!" Litleo charges at the Furfrou and rams into it, not doing much damage to it, but making it flinch.
"Good one, Nazz." said Kevin.
"Now use Ember!" said Nazz. Litleo opens her mouth and releases bits of fire from it which hit Furfrou. It growls at Litleo and charges into her, knocking her back. "Not cool! Litleo, use Ember one more time!" Litleo hits Furfrou with another Ember attack, making it fall to the ground. Nazz takes out an empty pokeball from her backpack and throws it at the Furfrou, hitting it, and sucking it in. The ball wiggles a few times before clicking, indicating a successful capture. "Yeah! I caught a Furfrou!"
"You have done well, Nazz girl." said Rolf. Furfrou's pokeball vanishes due to Nazz already having six Pokemon on her team. Nazz takes the pokedex from Kevin and uses it to learn more about her new Furfrou. "Okay, like, my new Furfrou is a normal type, it's a girl, she knows Tackle, Growl, Sand Attack, and Baby-Doll Eyes, and she has the Fur Coat ability, which likes, halves damage to her done by physical attacks. Guess that explains why Litleo's Headbutt didn't hurt her that much."
"Okay. Let's get going." said Kevin. After Nazz returns Litleo to her pokeball, they continue on their way. They keep walking until they reach a town.
"What town is this?" asked Jonny. Kevin looks at the map of Kalos.
"This is Camphrier Town." said Kevin. They look around and see a Pokemon Center.
"As long as we're here, we should have our Pokemon treated and grab something to eat." said Nazz.
"Good call, Nazz." said Kevin. They all enter the Pokemon Center and give their Pokemon to the nurse. They then went to the cafeteria to grab some dinner.
"So, what should we do now?" asked Jonny.
"Well, it's kind of getting late." said Kevin. "We should call it a day and just chill out until we hit the hay."
"Why does Kevin wish to hit hay?" asked Rolf.
"No, dude." replied Kevin. "I meant go to bed." said Kevin.
"Yeah, I could use some sleep." said Jonny. After everyone ate, they spent a while talking about their progress. After a while, they went to their room and showered, brushed their teeth, and went to bed. The next day, after everyone had breakfast, and got their Pokemon back; they stepped out of the Pokemon Center to plan what they were going to do.
"Ready to head to Cyllage City?" asked Kevin. Nazz looked around the town with interest.
"Could we look around this town for a bit?" asked Nazz.
"I don't see why not." said Kevin. They all toured the town, not really seeing much, until they got to the north part of Camphrier Town. They were surprised when they see a small castle.
"Wow!" said Jonny.
"That is so cool!" said Nazz.
"Rolf is amazed!" said Rolf.
"Let's go inside and check it out." said Kevin.
"Is that okay?" asked Nazz. Kevin looks around.
"I don't see any 'Do not enter' signs, or anyone guarding the gate." said Kevin. Jonny runs over the open drawbridge.
"Hey! Wait for us, man!" said Kevin as he and the others went after Jonny. They soon enter the castle and look around.
"I can't believe we're in a real castle." said Jonny.
"This is so rad." said Nazz who was amazed by how nice it looked inside. Just then, a man notices the group and walks over to them.
"Welcome to Shabboneau Castle." said the man.
"Hello, sir." said Nazz.
"What can you tell us about this place?" asked Kevin.
"This castle, chateau if you will, used to be the manor house of a noble family." said the man.
"Cool." said Jonny.
"Yes. It may be a little run down, but that's because there's history to this place." said the man. "During that history, the owners of this castle gave away a lot of their stuff to everyone, so that's why it feels so empty."
"Well, it sounds generous of the owners to do that." said Nazz.
"Indeed." said the man. Just then, another man runs pass the Cul-De-Sac kids and over to the man.
"Sir. It's back again!" said the other man.
"Is it that time of year already?" asked the first man.
"Yes. We need your help." said the other man.
"Well, I can't do anything about it now." said the man. He looks back at the Cul-De-Sac kids. "I need to head to Route 7, but take your time and look around." The two men exit the castle, leaving the kids to themselves.
"What was that about?" asked Nazz.
"Don't know." said Kevin.
"Should we go see?" asked Jonny.
"Let's look around first." said Nazz. The kids take a quick tour of the castle for a few minutes. After that, they exit the castle and head towards Route 7. They soon reach a bridge where the two men from the castle were standing in front of a large, navy blue Pokemon with a cream-colored belly that was asleep. Kevin takes out the pokedex and points it at the Pokemon.
"Snorlax, the Sleeping Pokemon. Its stomach can digest any kind of food, even if it happens to be moldy or rotten." said the pokedex.
"Dude! That thing is huge!" said Kevin. Jonny looks at the pokedex.
"This says that a Snorlax weighs over a thousand pounds!" said Jonny.
"This Pokemon has more girth than Rolf's great Nana." said Rolf. The two men were talking to each other.
"What are we going to do about this Snorlax being on the bridge?" asked one of the men. "It's keeping people from crossing it to get to Cyllage City or to Camphrier Town." The kids were shocked by this.
"I don't know." said the other man. "We need the PokeFlute to wake it up."
"Then go get it and wake Snorlax up." said the man.
"I can't. I don't have it anymore." said the other man.
"What?! Why not?!" asked the man.
"The owner of Parfum Palace took it." said the other man. Kevin and the others look at each other.
"What's a PokeFlute?" asked Nazz.
"Don't know." said Kevin. The two men look at the group.
"A PokeFlute is a musical instrument that can wake Snorlax up." explained one of the men.
"So, we can't get to Cyllage City until you wake this Snorlax up?" asked Kevin.
"That's right." said the man. Kevin looks back at the others.
"Looks like we're stuck here until that big lug wakes up and moves." said Kevin.
"What should we do?" asked Jonny.
"Maybe we can go to that Parfum Palace and get the PokeFlute." suggested Nazz.
"Worth a shot." said Kevin. "Not like we have a lot of options until we get that Snorlax out of the way." The man hears their plan and steps in.
"If you want to get to Parfum Palace, just go up Route 6 and you'll reach it soon enough." said the man.
"Awesome." said Kevin. He then looks at the others. "Looks like we got a plan."
"Great. Let's get going." said Nazz. With that, the group start heading for Parfum Palace to get the PokeFlute.
