Merrill meets Emily

Merrill, Vicki and the twins all headed back to the apartment after that night on the ship cause it was too cold for the girls and everyone involved to be sleeping on the deck, but Vicki wanted to take them back there every night so they could get used to the ship and sleeping in their bassinets and when they did not want to go back to sleep either. They had practice walking the ship to calm and soothe them. Merrill loved it cause he would point out the girl's grandmother to them as they were wide awake and looking around at where they were at as well

"Hard to believe we sail next week" Vicki says cause she had to take everything to the ship to get ready for when the ship sails again which is next week cause the line wanted Merrill back on the job as soon as possible, but he was going to have Gunnar help him out here and there during the first couple of cruises cause he had to help Vicki out with the twins and Vicki had to get a routine established as well with getting the girls ready and seeing where they were going to go when Vicki had to help with boarding as well cause they could not be in the way as the passengers were boarding so Vicki was going to do a dry run to see what will be the best place for them and if their stroller can fit on deck as well

"Yeah we do I can watch the twins while you are at the ship setting up housekeeping for the twins" Merrill tells her

"Okay thanks dad hopefully I am not gone too long" Vicki says as she leaves the apartment with everything that the twins were going to need

Merrill decided to take the twins out on a walk to the park to see if he could meet anyone, and give the girls some sir they have been in the apartment since they came back from their first night on the boat

"Okay I think I have everything once I get you girls buckled in we are off to the park" he says as he was talking to them as he was buckling them in the double stroller

Once both Merritt and Georgina were buckled in Merrill and his granddaughters set off to the park

(Park)

"Girls it is such a beautiful day outside" he says as he has his sunglasses on to protect his eyes and he has the visor down on the stroller to protest the girls eyes as well from the sun

Merrill finds an empty bench and he sits down cause he hears Georgina wake up

"Mind if I sit here?" a lady asks him

"Sure not at all" Merrill says to her

"Are they yours?" the lady asks him

"Yes they are my granddaughters the one I have is Georgina and the one that is still asleep is Merritt and I am Merrill Stubbing" Merrill says as he tries to offer out a hand

"Name is Emily Hayward" Emily says to him

"Nice to meet you" he says as he was going to feed Georgina right now to see if that calms her down

Georgina took a little bit of the bottle and she was a happy camper right now

"They sure are darling" Emily says as they talked

"Yeah they are aren't they maybe we can talk more over ice cream or coffee or something" Merrill says as he puts the bottle back in the diaper bag for later

"I like that" Emily says as she follows Merrill to one of the ice cream shops

(Ice cream shop)

"I swear once one of them cry the other has to cry too, but luckily she is the easy one all she wants is to be held" Merrill says as he gets Merritt out cause she was fussy

"She looks so little" Emily says as she was having her ice cream

"Yeah, she is the smallest of the two girls" he says as he rubs her back and calms her down

Merrill got a shake in case Merritt woke up or Georgina woke back up

"I think you just had a bad dream and you want grandpappy to make it all better" he says as he was still talking to her as she calmed down as he rocked her in his arms

Merritt went back to sleep as Merrill still rocked her

"That's my girl" he says as he kisses her as he finished his shake

Merrill puts her back in the stroller so he could take the twin's home

"There we go grandpappy brought your lovey with him in case you got scared" he says he gave her rabbit that's she loved

Merritt holds onto it as she sleeps

"I might see you on one of our sailings" he says as him and Emily were leaving the ice cream parlor

"Maybe I might have to take a cruise just to see you again and maybe meet the twin's mom too" Emily says to him

"Yeah and the two of us can spend more time with the babies too" Merrill says to her cause he build a playground under the ship for the girls to play on as they get older

Merrill goes back to the apartment with the twins still asleep like angels right now

(Apartment)

"Merritt look whose home" Merrill says as he heard the door open as he held her

"Hey Merritt did you and Georgina have a fun day with grandpappy?" Vicki asks her

"Yeah they did she woke up once and Georgina woke up twice, and I met someone" Merrill says as he gets Georgina out cause she wanted held too

"That's great dad who" Vicki asks him

"Her name is Emily and she is a great woman" Merrill says as he was going to change Georgina since she was fed before her sister

"I hope I get to meet her" Vicki tells him

"You will she might come sailing with us" Merrill tells her
