30 Worlds: Royal Megaforce, Episode Final: "Masters of the Ultimate Power"
BOOK FOUR*CHAPTER FIVE
In the meeting room on the Ka-Mahshuv, the Saints, Jane and Jezebel stood and watched as J.M. and William walked in. "Please be seated," J.M. said. As the Saints, Jane and Jezebel resumed their seats, J.M. pointed to William.
"King William here has an idea about why he and his people are here," J.M. said. "Please give him your undivided attention."
J.M. sat down in his chair and gestured for William to speak.
"Thank you, Your Majesty," William said. "While I was meditating during an upgrade procedure that I did on Gavan's Glory II, I received a telepathic report from the ship's computer that indicated an A.I.C. hack of the simulator systems. In essence, the A.I.C. have control of the simulation."
"But there is a way we can fix things," William continued. "We can use Gavan's Glory II to enter the Steelport simulation without using the interface pods. But since your superpowers are based off of the interface pods' connection to the simulation, you'll need new powers."
William tapped the button on the buckle of his utility belt eleven times, retrieving a Megaforce Change Key in between each press. He then handed a Key to each of the eleven individuals surrounding the briefing room table. As William expected, each Key dissolved into colored light as each entity absorbed the Key they were given.
"The knowledge of how to use the powers and abilities given to each of you by the Megaforce Change Keys I have given to you has been imparted to you," William said. "Now, we need to get underway. Follow me—all of you—to Gavan's Glory II. I'll give Kenzie a Key when we get on board."
The Saints, Jane and Jezebel followed William out of the meeting room.
In the control room on Gavan's Glory II, William walked up to M.A.J.E.L., Kenzie and Mal as the rest of the away team walked in to resume their stations at the central control pedestal.
Kenzie smiled at William. "William, M.A.J.E.L. is amazing. I could spend an entire lifetime on this ship and not scratch the surface of it," Kenzie said.
"Kenzie is selling herself short," M.A.J.E.L. said. "For an organic being, Kenzie is very smart and ready to learn about new things."
Kenzie nodded her respect to M.A.J.E.L. "Before we begin, I have something for you," William said to Kenzie before reaching to withdraw a Megaforce Change Key from the utility belt.
As William handed Kenzie the Key he explained the mission he and the Saints were about to go on. As the Key dissolved and merged with Kenzie, she looked at William. "Let's do this," Kenzie said.
William then turned to Mal. "Get the ship ready to go into the Zin simulation," William said. Mal nodded, then turned her attention to the control pedestal. "Course set, William," Mal said.
William pointed to Kenzie, then to the engine enable lever. "Would you like to get us underway, Miss Kensington?" William asked. Kenzie smiled, thanked William, then threw the lever forward.
Moments later, Uma—a member of the King's Hand—reported, "Your Majesty, we have completed re-materialization."
"Thank you, Miss Uma," William said. "Saints, Ms. Austin, Jezebel, you're with me. Queen Sofia will remain aboard to supervise."
"Wouldn't we need all the help we can get in there, King William?" Pierce Washington asked.
"Normally, I would say, 'Absolutely,'" William said. "However, in this case, I must say no. You see, the most important member of our little group here on Gavan's Glory II is my wife, Queen Sofia."
"How important is she?" Matt asked.
"Queen Sofia is pregnant," William said.
"And that is important to our mission...why?" Asha asked.
"Yours and Queen Sofia's unborn child is that Grand Key you mentioned, isn't it?" Jezebel said.
"Her," William corrected. "And, yes, Ms. Mephistopheles, you are correct. As a result, Sofia needs to remain on board. I will leave the King's Hand—my personal guard—and the other Grand Key components I've acquired so far on this part of the mission on board to protect her."
"A logical approach, King William," Austin said.
"Thank you, Ms. Austin," William said with a bow. "Coming from a version of my favorite author of all time, your compliment means a lot to me."
Turning back to J.M., Kenzie and the Saints, William then reached for the Master Morpher on his belt. "Let's go," William said.
