"The Type 40 series of TARDIS that The Doctor uses is ancient," M.A.J.E.L. said as William put his hand on the controls that would reform Gavan's Glory II. "However, he or anyone on his TARDIS would still be able to see us by direct visual contact."
"What do you suggest then, M.A.J.E.L.?" Monty said.
"Reform Gavan's Glory II and the Tempest behind the moon," M.A.J.E.L. said. "That way, the mineral content would obscure us from the sensors on The Doctor's TARDIS. However—again—they will still be able to see us by d.v.c."
"M.A.J.E.L., Gadget and I have been examining your systems," Kinzie said. "I believe we have a solution."
"I am listening," M.A.J.E.L. said.
Gadget smiled at M.A.J.E.L. "When William first imprinted himself on your systems, you scanned his mind in order to generate the control room design he wanted, correct?" Gadget said.
M.A.J.E.L. nodded. "In addition, the mental interface scan found the memories of technologies from the original Gavan's Glory, the original Enterprise and the Enterprise-A, right?" Gadget asked.
"That is true," M.A.J.E.L. said.
"Then GG2's advanced systems would be able to replicate those technologies," Kenzie said. "Just like they were able to create the Viper starfighter William used in the Unaligned World of Battlestar Galactica 1978, if I am not mistaken."
M.A.J.E.L. smiled at Kenzie and Gadget. "That would be perfect," M.A.J.E.L. said.
"Then, M.A.L.E.L., activate the cloaking device on my mark," William said. "King's Hand, to me!"
Steve, Uma, Tori, Poppy and Jane took their stations surrounding the central control pedestal; while Koska and Ellie took two of the auxiliary consoles. "I am reforming us," William said before throwing the lever forward.
As Gavan's Glory II's engines activated, bringing it and the Tempest out of the Time Vortex, William turned to Koska and called out in Mandalorian battle language, "Activate cloaking device..."
William turned his attention back to his monitor. As soon as he saw that the Tempest was within the cloaking device's field-of-effect radius, he moved his hand in a downward cutting motion and finished, "...now!"
Koska tapped the control. The sound of the cloaking device's activation rang through the control room. On his display, the area around the two ships warbled, then stabilized—indicating that the cloaking device was operating properly.
Ellie looked on her display and saw that the duplicate original Enterprise's countdown to self-destruct had reached 45 seconds until detonation.
"The duplicate original Enterprise is T-30 seconds to detonation...mark," Ellie said.
"Thank you, Ms. Steckler," William said before turning his attention back to his display.
"10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1...0," Ellie said.
On his display, William watched as the duplicate original Enterprise detonated in a gigantic fireball—her skeletal remains falling into the atmosphere of the World of Descendants.
Then, as soon as his screen noted that The Doctor's TARDIS was on its way to Skaro in order to retrieve the Ambassador, William looked at M.A.J.E.L. "M.A.J.E.L., prepare to deactivate the stasis cube field covering the original Enterprise on my mark," William said before gesturing for Phineas, Mal and Zenon to follow him.
In the transporter room just off of the central control chamber, William, Mal, Phineas and Zenon took their positions on the reception pad. At the control panel, Fun Shaundi smiled at William.
"M.A.J.E.L. computes that the original Enterprise will be at around 1 minute and 10 seconds until detonation once you four beam into the CIC," Fun Shaundi said.
"Thanks, Shaundi," William said. "M.A.J.E.L., deactivate stasis cube field...now!"
"Stasis cube field deactivated," M.A.J.E.L. said.
Then, William said to Fun Shaundi, "Energize!"
William, Phineas, Mal and Zenon dissolved in the transporter beam...
...reforming in the darkened CIC on the original original Enterprise. Phineas, Mal and Zenon made their way to the same barely-functional console that their younger selves had used to initiate the self-destruct countdown.
Phineas put his hand on the console. "Emergency computer, this is Grand Key component Phineas Flynn. Code 1-2-3 continuity—abort destruct order," Phineas said.
The countdown graphic switched to read "Does Grand Key component Ensign Zenon Kar concur?"
Zenon put her hand on the console. "This is Grand Key component Ensign Zenon Kar. Code 1-2-3 confirmation—abort destruct order," Zenon said.
The words "Does Grand Key component Princess Consort Mal of Auradon confirm?" formed on the screen.
Zenon moved her hand so that Mal could place hers on the console. "This is Grand Key component Princess Consort Mal of Auradon," Mal said. "Code 1-2-3 confirmation—abort destruct order."
The words "Destruct sequence has been terminated" appeared on the screen. William's communicator went off.
"King William. Go ahead," William said.
"William, this is Sofia," Sofia's voice said on William's communicator. "M.A.J.E.L. confirms—the self-destruct countdown has been terminated."
"Great," William said. "What next?"
"In the CIC, your private terminal next to the Galazy Map should still be functional," Sofia said. "Touch the screen then identify yourself and give the order 'Activate Federation Post-Burn Prototype Systems.' You must identify yourself as Prince William of Cinnabar, as Scarlett is still alive in this time frame."
"Got ya, Sofia. Stand by," William said.
William made his way to the private terminal and put his hand on the screen. "This is Prince William of Cinnabar," William said. "Activate Federation Post-Burn Prototype Systems...now!"
For a moment, nothing happened. Then, the deck under William, Phineas, Mal and Zenon's feet began to rumble.
Then, the room became lit in a bright blue-white light. Moments later, the blue-white light dimmed to reveal a fully-functional Bridge—its instruments beeping and whirring. Through the empty viewport at the front of the Bridge, William could see Gavan's Glory II and the Tempest as the cloaking device deactivated.
A beeping sounded from a nearby station. Zenon moved over to the console and tapped a button. "William, Gavan's Glory II is hailing us," Zenon said.
"On screen," William said.
A holographic window opened on the virtual viewscreen. On it, Sofia and the members of the King's Hand were beaming from the control room on Gavan's Glory II. "William, you did it," Sofia said. "Steve, maneuver us into position so that we can transmit an image of the outside of the new Enterprise..."
"Not anymore," William said. "The ship our younger selves are heading to is...or will be...the Enterprise."
"Then what are you gonna call that ship now?" Steve asked.
William moved over to the command chair and sat in it. Noticing a blinking button on the built-in control panel, William tapped it. "Ship's Log, King William recording," William began. "Having traveled back in time from nearly a year in the future from this moment, we have activated the prototype systems added to this vessel by Queen Scarlett of Cinnabar in association with the Federation Starfleet of the 32nd century in the Unaligned World of Star Trek."
William looked at his temporary Bridge crew. "Along with Phineas Flynn, Zenon Kar and Princess Consort Mal of Auradon, I have prevented the self-destruction of this vessel—while ensuring that our younger selves believe this vessel to be destroyed and retrieve another vessel," William continued.
Turning his attention back to the virtual viewscreen, William finished: "To that end—as in the future time frame we have traveled from, the DDV Enterprise designation has been assumed by that retrieved vessel with Queen Scarlett killed after invocation of the Phoenix Protocol—I hereby rename this vessel the DDV Gansett. A registry number will be affixed to this vessel when we return to the present time we originated from. King William, out."
Then, William smiled at Steve. "Agent Evans, you can take that picture now," William said.
On the screen, Gavan's Glory II angled away from the Tempest. A few minutes later, the communications channel shifted to another section of the virtual viewscreen panel and an image of the now-DDV Gansett with the name clearly visible appeared on the screen.
William looked up at the ceiling of the Bridge and said, "She looks beautiful, Aunt Scarlett."
Another beeping came from Zenon's station. "William, I've found a video letter addressed to you," she said.
"From Aunt Scarlett? From Captain Burnham?" William asked.
"Neither," Zenon said before tapping a few keys.
William turned his attention back to the viewscreen and watched as a mirror image of himself appeared.
"Hello, my past self," the mirror image said. "If you are viewing this message, then you have successfully recovered the original Enterprise—excuse me, the Gansett. I'm sure my old friend from the Yelchin would be happy that you renamed the original Enterprise after him."
The future-William cleared his throat. "Anyway, let's get serious for a moment," he said. "With the Gansett now in your possession, you now have all thirty Grand Key components."
The communications window from Gavan's Glory II unexpectedly shut off. "Within 24 hours, Aunt Scarlett's enchantment on Sofia's womb will be removed. This will cause our child to rapidly develop to near-full-term. But now I must tell you why any communications channel you may be having with Sofia when this letter is opened was closed," the future-William continued.
"When Sofia goes into labor, you will be in combat with Xur," the future-William said next. "However, due to the link your Amulets have, you will be overwhelmed with the sensations of Sofia's labor and be incapacitated to the point that Xur kills you. Without you being there to urge her on, Sofia and your children will all die in childbirth. Without Sofia and the birth of the children, the A.I.C. succeeds in destroying the multi-verse. Please do not reveal this to Sofia."
William's mind was in overdrive as the comm window with Gavan's Glory II reopened. "I have encoded a set of spatial, temporal and dimensional coordinates where the A.I.C. are expected to begin their final assault, and where you and the Scarlett Armada will meet them. I won't wish you good luck, as I have a feeling you won't need it. Goodbye, self," the future-William said before the video letter closed.
"Sofia, get in touch with Challenger Base. Ask Commander Antilles if the Galactica and Pegasus are up for one more battle. If they are, have Wedge send a vessel to escort them to rendezvous with the Armada," William said. "When you're done with Wedge, call Elena in the Unaligned World of Mass Effect and tell her we're going hunting."
"I read you, William," Sofia said. "Gavan's Glory II, out."
Fifteen minutes later, Zenon turned to William. "Gavan's Glory II confirms: Battlestars Galactica and Pegasus and Dimensional Defense Vessel Protector are en route to the Unaligned World of Mass Effect as we speak to join up with the Armada," Zenon said.
"Excellent," William said.
"Gavan's Glory II has landed in Main Shuttlebay, William," Mal said. "Tempest stands ready to travel to the Nexus to rendezvous with the Armada."
"All right," William said before standing from the command chair and moving to sit in the helm chair. "Setting the new deviator for the present day, Unaligned World of Mass Effect. Phineas, take us to Black Alert."
The Bridge lights dimmed and an unfamiliar klaxon began to blare. "All systems are at Black Alert," Phineas said.
"Acknowledged," William said. "Mycelial Dimensional Deviator engaging."
The Gansett and the Tempest disappeared...
...and, just as quickly, reappeared in the Unaligned World of Mass Effect. Through the Bridge viewport, William could see the Scarlett Armada—now joined by the Galactica, the Pegasus and the Protector.
"All ships, this is King William on the DDV Gansett. Enterprise senior officers except Crown Princess Elena, I have transferred my flag to the Gansett. Stand by to beam over on my next signal," William said.
The doors onto the Bridge opened, revealing the members of the King's Hand. William stood from the helm console as Koska and Tori approached.
Once seated again in the command chair, William opened the encoded message and saw where the final battle was to take place.
"Battle-Sister Koska, set course for the following set of coordinates," William said. "Use the conventional dimensional deviator."
"Standing by, Battle-Father," Koska said.
"Dimensional: Unaligned World of Star Trek, Prime Timeline. Spatial: Federation Fleet Museum, in orbit of Athian Prime. Temporal: 2401.04.16," William said, reading from the screen projected from the arm of his command chair.
Koska typed in the coordinates. "Course laid in," she said.
"M.A.J.E.L., transport the senior officers directly to the Bridge of the Gansett," William thought.
Suddenly, Chad Danforth, Lennier of Minbar, Princess Rose and Sito appeared on the Bridge of the Gansett as Sofia stepped onto the Bridge.
"Get settled at your new stations, guys," William said. "The final battle begins now. All ships: Engage!"
The Scarlett Armada followed the Gansett into the dimensional fold.

Three Hours Later
Admiral (Ret.) Jean-Luc Picard had just sat in his command chair on the Bridge of the Enterprise-D for the first time in thirty years when a rapid beeping came from a console behind him.
"Admiral, sensors both here and on the Museum Starbase are detecting a massive fleet—at least 35 ships," the voice of the person at the console said.
Picard turned in the chair to see Worf. "Borg ships, Mr. Worf?" Picard said.
"No, sir," Worf said. "Some of the ships are of Starfleet configurations, some are not—but none of them are Borg ships."
"Place the view from the Starbase on screen," Picard said.
On the viewscreen, Picard watched as the ships approached the station. Worf's Tactical station began to beep again.
"The lead vessel of the fleet is hailing," Worf said. "Information encoded in the transmission beam identifies the lead ship as the DDV Gansett, a vessel of the...Scarlett Army."
The man to Picard's right cocked an eyebrow. "Now that's a name I haven't heard in thirty years," he said.
"Me too, Will," Picard said. "Mr. Worf, open a response channel."
The sight of the enormous Scarlett Army fleet on the viewscreen switched to the Bridge of the Gansett. William smiled when he saw the Bridge of the Enterprise-D on his own ship's screen.
"Jean-Luc! It's so good to see you again," William said.
"Same here, Prince William," Picard said.
"It's King William now," William said. "But now is not the time to argue over semantics."
"I agree, Your Majesty," Picard said. "I also wish we had time for pleasantries, but we don't. The Borg are, no doubt, attacking Probert Station and Earth as we speak."
"I know, and that's why we are here," William said. "I believe the A.I.C. are planning on taking advantage of the Borg attack on Earth and Starfleet to launch their own final assault. We were about to head to Earth and get rid of them once and for all. Care to join us?"
"At least until we reach Sector 001," Picard said. "We on the Enterprise-D need to divert to Jupiter to rescue my son from the Borg."
William's jaw dropped, but Picard held up his hand. "Like you said, King William, we don't have time for explanations," he said.
"Of course," William said. "We'll be waiting for you to exit the dock. Gansett, out."
Back on the Bridge of the Gansett, William watched as the Enterprise-D slid out of the Museum Starbase and into open space for the first time in thirty years. The Enterprise-D then flew into position alongside the Galactica.
"Enterprise-D reports that they are in position to proceed to Sector 001 on your order," Mal said.
William nodded his understanding of Mal's report. "Very well," he said. "Open an armada-wide channel, and patch in the Enteprise-D."
"Channel open," Zasha said from the communications console.
"All ships, this is King William on the Gansett. Set course for Sector 001 on my mark," William said. "Engage."
All 36 ships accelerated into hyperlight/warp drive, on course for the final battle that was about to begin.
