A voice played over the comm systems of all ships in the Scarlett Armada as it sped towards Earth.
"This is President Anton Chekov of the United Federation of Planets broadcasting on all emergency channels. Do not approach Earth," the voice said."A signal of unknown origin has turned our young against us. They have been assimilated by the Borg. Our fleet has been compromised and as we speak, our planetary defenses are falling. Sol Station is defending Earth as best it can. But we're almost out of time. We have not been able to find a way to stop this Borg signal and un-assimilate our young. But I know that if my father were here, he'd remind us all that hope is never lost. There are always possibilities. Until then, I implore you: save yourselves. Farewell."
William listened as a presidential aide asked President Chekov to get to an escape pod before the contact was severed and a big red "CONNECTION LOST" notation appeared on the virtual viewscreen.
"I'll be right back," William said as the Enterprise-D separated from the Armada. He then smiled at Sofia before dissolving in red mist.

William resolved in the corridor outside the Presidential Office and listened as Chekov made the distress call. Then, as the aide was advising President Chekov to get to an escape pod, William reached for the Master Morpher and smiled. "Be warned, Borg. I'm taking your treasure," William said. "Kaitou Change! LupinRed!"
The suit of LupinRed formed on William's body. Then, William/LupinRed burst through the door into the Presidential Office and took down the Borg before they could assimilate Chekov.
William then deactivated the Master Morpher. Chekov watched as the LupinRed suit faded from William's being.
"Mr. President, we need to get to the roof," William said.
"Who are..." Chekov started.
"Explanations later, Mr. President," William said. "Grab onto me."
Chekov nodded, then grabbed onto William's arm. "Hold on," William said. William and Chekov dissolved, then reformed on the roof of the Palais. There, Gavan's Glory II had landed on one of the shuttlecraft landing pads.
"Hurry!" William said.
Chekov followed William onto Gavan's Glory II. In the central chamber, M.A.J.E.L. stood at the control pedestal.
"M.A.J.E.L., get us back to the Gansett," William said.
"Understood," M.A.J.E.L. said.
As MA.J.E.L. manipulated the controls to get Gavan's Glory II on course back for the Gansett, William turned to Chekov.
"Mr. President, I am King William Edward Felchenerow III of Cinnabar," William said.
Chekov gasped. As President of the Federation, he had full access to the records of every ship that had ever served in Starfleet. This allowed him to access the records of the original Enterprise, the Enterprise-D, the original Defiant class ship and Voyager.
In those records, Chekov had learned of William—although the records of those ships noted that he was merely a Prince at the time—and how his fleet helped those ships save the universe in an alternate timeline.
His own father, Pavel—who had served on the original Enterprise during its meeting William and his people—had even regaled him of those stories in his childhood before he had access to the official records.
"Our Armada picked up your distress call, and we're on course for Earth as we speak," William said as M.A.J.E.L. turned to face him and Chekov.
"We have completed materialization on the Gansett," M.A.J.E.L. said.
"Thank you, M.A.J.E.L.," William said. "Mr. President, please follow me to the Bridge."
Chekov followed William off of Gavan's Glory II and up to the Bridge of the Gansett. "Report," William said to Mal, who was seated in the first officer's chair.
"A Federation starship is in orbit of Jupiter and is in combat with a Borg cube," Mal said, checking her display. "Reads as a Galaxy-class."
"Which ship is it?" William said for Chekov's benefit—knowing full well who it was.
Mal sent the contents of her display to the virtual viewscreen. A notation reading "NCC-1701-D" was orbiting Jupiter.
"Bolzhe-moi," Chekov said. "The Enterprise-D? But...that's impossible!"
"Not really," Sofia said. "Commodore Geordi LaForge, the docent of the Fleet Museum at Athian Prime, has been rebuilding the Enterprise-D piece by piece over the last twenty years this world has experienced—especially since the saucer was put into the Museum after it was recovered from Veridian III. The Enterprise-D joined us en route to Sector 001 then separated from us to go after the Borg ship in order to buy time for us."
"Mr. President, may I introduce my wife, Queen Sofia," William said. "Sofia, this is Anton Pavelovitch Chekov, President of the United Federation of Planets—or whatever may be left of it after today."
"It is a pleasure to have you aboard, Mr. President," Sofia said. As she said that, William happened to look down and saw that Sofia's pregnancy had begun to advance again. He ran a few quick mental calculations and deduced that Sofia appeared to be the equivalent of around 4-and-a-half months into pregnancy.
William knew that they did not have much time left.
