Glitchtrapped Chapter 03: A Dark Family is Formed
By IrysGundam005
(Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex, Beneath Roxy's Racing)
"I trust that they are on their way?"
In response to the quire given to him by his progenitor, Glitchtrap, whose image was currently displayed on a computer monitor, simply smiled and nodded.
"Of course my friend," The digital avatar assured. "I contacted Vanny earlier and gave her instructions to bring our new little playmate here the first chance she got. And last I checked, she had just been getting ready for her night shift when I did." He stated.
"I see. And your certain that her new little protegee is who you claim him to be?" Came the second (and perhaps most important) question.
"Yes. I am," The purple-wearing gold rabbit answered. "Though I do not possess your rather unique talent when it comes to soul-seeing, I can almost certainly guarantee the boy is whom I speak of." He assured.
"One what grounds?" In response to the quire, Glichtrap paused for a moment or two as he contemplated those words before he finally answered.
"Let's just call it a..."father's intuition", if you would." Glitchtrap insisted, as across from him, the eyes of William Afton narrowed menacingly at his digital doppelganger.
Deep beneath the Pizzaplez, in the ruins of what was once Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place, William Afton stood amidst a purple haze within a repurposed recharge station. His ghastly form of flesh and machinery obscured for the most part. Save only for a pair of sickly purple eyes that were lit against the background of jet-black scleras.
William had survived his former friend and partner Henry Emily's attempt to end his reign of terror with the aid of his long-estranged son Michael. However, the flames had taken their toll on him. More specifically, the ancient Springlock Suit that he was bound to both in body and soul. And though Vanny had managed to fix him up with parts "graciously" donated by Glamrock Bonnie (with a little "assistance" from his friend, Montgomery Gator), he was still in need of some work. So for now, he was content to sit back and let his two henchmen in the form of Vanny and his digital duplicate do the work. He would have his chance eventually.
However, something had been brought to his attention recently. It seems as though Vanny had decided to do a little bit of experimentation. And had induced a young lad into his ever-growing cult of followers. When had first learned of this "Greglin" as he called himself, William had to inwardly scoff a little. For with very rare exceptions, he cared very little for children. They were at best, a good source of Remnant. However, as a father himself, he suppose he could understand if Vanny had developed a desire for a little brother or the like. So he would simply acknowledge the lad's existence and hoped that Vanny had at least picked someone who would prove to be competent. As well as having an understanding that if the boy ever became a problem, she would personally dispose of him.
That was until Glitchtrap alerted him to something...interesting, he had discovered about the boy during his first meeting with him. Hence, the current conversation at hand.
"I trust you understand the weight of such words." He demanded of his counterpart in a low and menacing voice that made him just a wee bit nervous.
"I would not be speaking them if I did not believe them to be true," Glitchtrap said, doing his best to assure the source of his existence. "And I assure you, I most certainly speak from a place of honesty and sincerity."
"Good. Because allow me to be blunt," William then leaned forward his face partly visible through the purple smoke. His teeth menacingly were on display. "If this turns out to be nothing but an elaborate prank you are pulling on me, my malware friend. Then I can assure you that both you and Vanny shall feel my fury tenfold." He then leaned a little closer. His eyes glared deeply into Glitchtrap's very being. And making the viral entity very grateful there was both a computer screen and another realm separating him. "Understood." He said with a tone that made it not a question but a demand.
"...Yes, my Progenitor," Glitchtrap answered after several seconds of involuntary silence. "I promise you that this will be worth your time." He said.
"Good." William leaned back as his jaw disappeared into the mist. Glitchtrap allowed himself a small sigh of relief right before something on the video feed for the cameras (which he was monitoring) caught his attention.
"Ah. They're here!" He reported happily.
"Show me," William commanded. Without a second word, the image of Glitchtrap vanished to display the live feed of one of the many security cameras throughout the plex. This one of the entrances as William saw Vanny having made her way inside. Along with her little companion. "Is that him?" William asked, as his eyes shifted to fixate on Greglin.
"Indeed. That is our new little recruit: Gregory!" Glitchtrap announced proudly. "Or rather, Greglin as he prefers to be called. A fiery little lad he is. Birthed from the dark corners of a poor, poor street urchin! One who has suffered quite a great deal. Family, caretakers. He's got quite the baggage. And all that is perfect to help mold and shape into the perfect kill machine!"
William chose to ignore his counterpart's wild ramblings as he instead, focused in on the image of Gregory/Greglin. And though his expression was unreadable amidst the haze, Glitchtrap had managed to see a hint of what appeared to be longing in his eyes.
"Mm... I can certainly see the resemblance. I'll give you that," William conceded. "But are you certain it's him?"
"Of course!" Glitchtrap answered. "Trust me, my friend. And you shall see with your own eyes that your little one has come home at last." He promised.
William narrowed his eyes. "We will see." He said evenly. However, Glitchtrap did not miss the undertone of hopefulness in his voice. Which gave the digital recruiter for the Cult of Glicthtrap some breathing room as he continued to speak.
"In the meanwhile, there is something I wish to bring to your attention, William." In response to Glitchtrap's words, William turned his head in his direction.
"What is it?" He demanded.
"it seems as though one of our little bunnies has decided to start dabbling in the act of nonces." He answered, causing William's eyes to narrow dangerously at him.
"Who?" He demanded as the image of Glitchtrap vanished. Replaced by a recording of Gregory's little "encounter" with Greta Huffington that Glitchtrap had witnessed in his memory.
"Gretta Huffington. One of the earlier recruits who had the good fortune of stumbling upon yours truly," Glitchtrap explained. "She is the runner of the "Ms. Huffington's Home for the Lost and the Wayward" orphanage. However, it seems as though she has decided to turn it into her own personal little "pleasure palace"." He remarked with disgust.
"Is that so? Then she has become a problem for us." William said, sharing his digital avatar's disgust.
Though William Afton was a child killer that took a sadistic amount of pleasure in his vile deeds, they had always served a greater purpose. For one, enjoying the act itself ensured that it would never become dull or tedious. But for another, the sadism that he inflicted upon the little ones whose lives he cut short made the Remnant harvested from them much more potent. Their young and undeveloped minds were not as dulled to the horrors of life as those of an adult. As William recalled from the Remnant he had gotten from the team sent down to investigate.
But Greta's actions were a whole can of worms William wanted nothing to do with. For one thing, it would draw unneeded attention to his little group. While child killing was already deemed a pretty heinous crime by society, child molestation was especially loathed. And Greta's actions had put them all at risk. Add to the fact that William had at one point been a father himself, and the disgust he felt for Greta was palatable.
"My apologies, my Progenitor. I hadn't realized that Greta's second persona could be so deprived," Glitchtrap said with sincerity. "I shall deal with her myself if it pleases you." He offered.
"See to it that she is dealt with in the most severe way possible," William commanded. When Glitchtrap nodded, he waved his hand. "You are dismissed, Glitchtrap." He instructed.
"As you wish. And enjoy your evening with your son, my Progenitor." Glitchtrap bowed before his image disappeared from the screen. The rabbit having ventured back into his hole that was cyberspace.
Leaving William to stare intently at the image of Vanny and Greglin making their way through the Pizzaplex. His eyes never left Greglin as he stood in contemplation.
'Evan, my dear boy,' He thought as he felt a ping of guilt and bitterness rise from the depths of his soul. 'If you have truly returned to me, my lad. Then I promise you that this time, things will be different. This time, daddy will ensure no harm comes to his little boy.' He felt his mechanical hands ball themselves into fists. 'And this time, there will be nothing that will take you away from me ever again!'
(Meanwhile, just outside Roxy's Racing)
"Vanny? Where are we going?" Greglin asked as he was led by the hand of the white rabbit killer into the famous racing attraction of the Pizzaplex, Roxy's Racing. Home of the famous Roxanne "Roxy Wolf" and her track. A place where kids could come and try their luck against the racing queen herself.
"Why we're going to see someone very important, Greglin," Vanny answered. The rabbit serial killer was currently dressed in the attire of the Pizzaplex's mall security.
Greglin's ears perked a this. "And who's that?" He asked as Vanny looked back at him with a smile.
"William Afton," She told him. "He's the leader of our little family. And the one who Glitchtrap was created from." She explained.
"Created from?" He repeated, tilting his head. "...So Mr. Afton is like, grandfather?" Greglin questioned as Vanny knew he considered William's digital counterpart to be his father. And how could he not? He had brought the boy into existence from the depths of Gregory's subconsciousness.
Just like he had done for her. Which only cemented the sisterly feelings Vanny had been developing these past few days for Gregory's alter ego.
"Something like that," She said, as she then stopped before him and laid her hands on his shoulders. "Now, Greglin. I need you to promise me that you'll be a good boy for Mr. Afton. Can you do that for me?" She asked smiling.
"Okay." He nodded, giving her a big smile.
"Good boy!" She said, leaning in to give him an affection nose-to-nose nuzzle that he returned.
Meanwhile, within the back corner of their shared subconscious, Gregory shuttered. Wherever Vanny was taking them, and whoever this William Afton was, one thing was certain: none of it was going to be good.
It had been five days since Gregory's "introduction" into the Cult of Glitchtrap. And a part of Gregory was still hopeful that all of this was not rear. That it was nothing but a hazy fever dream brought about by bad pizza. He was hoping that he would wake up soon in either one of his makeshift hiding holes in the Pizzaplex or his cardboard box. He would wake up, go on his merry way, and forget all about this. As well as making a mental note to avoid any blond security guards from there on in.
However, he knew that was nothing but false hope. He learned that when Vanny had woken him up not a while ago, and told him to get dressed. That was when Gregory knew he was not dreaming.
He was living a goddamn nightmare!
Gregory could only regard his new situation with despair. Not only was he stuck with a deranged child killer, but he was also possessed by one as well. Or rather, one in training. For he knew that Greglin had every intention of following through with his desire to learn from Vanny. Just as Vanny had access to Vanessa's thoughts at any given moment, so to did Greglin have access to his. And in particular, his memories of the Churches, Greta, and his time on the street where was ignored and bullied by the more well-off. And all of it infuriated Greglin as much as it did Gregory. Which only fumed the latter.
After all. Greglin had not lived through those experiences. And yet he had acted as though he had. What right did he have to try and think he was justified in feeling the same way about his memories? The same memories that haunted Gregory's dreams, and made his nights a restless mess. Greglin had not lived through them. He was at best, an observer who had a first-hand experience with them, and nothing more. And the fact that he would use them to push himself forward down the path of a child killer just made Gregory physically ill.
The whole situation made Gregory want to hurl everything he had ever eaten up all at once.
And it was all because of one woman. The very same woman whose body Vanny shared.
Gregory knew that it wasn't fair for him to put all blame on Vanessa. Vanny had forced her to go along with it, after all. And from his own experiences with Greglin, Gregory knew just how tight of a hold their alter egos had on them. So on the one hand, he felt sympathetic to her plight. Especially with the way she had been there to comfort him that fateful day.
However, at the time, he couldn't help but feel...resentful toward the security guard. She had been the one who found him that morning and chose to investigate. Of her own free will no less. As far as he was concerned, she was just as guilty for getting him involved in all this. If she had just ignored him like everyone else, then he wouldn't be stuck in this hell.
But sadly, he was. And there was no way out no matter how hard he tried.
Vanessa had been keen on her words about not letting him go. Watching him like a hawk, as well as forcing him to sleep in her room in a sleeping back so he couldn't just walk out during the night. In addition, it seemed Greglin was also a willing aid in that (though probably more so for Vanny than Vanessa). A day or two ago, Gregory had managed to escape Vanessa's apartment with the intent of running as far as he could. Only for Greglin to forcefully take control. And march them to Vanessa who had found them while driving around.
(Flashback. One Day Ago)
Gregory felt Greglin's control of their body slip away, just as a bright light shined over him. Raising his arm over him to shield himself from the intensity, he soon heard what sounded like a car door opening followed by Vanessa's voice.
"Where have you been!?" Lowering his arm, Gregory found the security officer looking at him pointedly. "Well!?" She demanded sternly as she crossed her arms.
Gregory said nothing. Only glaring back at the women as the two stared at each other for several seconds.
Eventually, Vanessa sighed as she gestured to the back seat. "Get in the car." She ordered.
Wordlessly, Gregory did as he was told. Getting into the back seat, and making sure to slam the back door as hard as he could as he got in.
"Hey! Easy with that!" Vanessa scolded. Gregory just glared back at her briefly, before looking away. Sighing, Vanessa inserted the keys into the ignition and started for home. As they drove, she looked at him in the rear-view mirror and spoke. "Gregory, listen. I know you are upset with me. And you have every right to be," She had said to him. "But you have to stay with me from now on! I know it's hard for you to understand. But with Greglin living inside of you now, you are too dangerous to be left alone now." She insisted.
That caused him to snap.
"I'm only like this because of you!" He yelled venomously. "If you had just left me alone, I wouldn't be in this situation to begin with!" He seethed.
There was a moment of silence as Vanessa stared at him. Gregory was not sure if she was even paying attention to the road. She then sighed as she looked at the road ahead.
"Yeah...your right. You wouldn't, wouldn't you? Had I just left well enough alone..." She agreed, in a voice that made Gregory feel a ping of guilt for yelling at her.
The two rode back to her apartment in silence. Neither said much of anything to the other for the rest of the night.
(Flashback Ends)
Gregory knew that Vanessa regretted having been a part of this. But her regret didn't make him feel any better. And in some ways, made him feel worst. Because at the end of the day, it didn't matter who was guilty of what. All that mattered was that he was trapped.
Trapped in hell with no escape. And with a demon who yearned for blood dwelling within his very soul.
The whole situation just made Gregory sick.
And now he was being taken by the same woman who had orchestrated the whole thing to meet with someone. Someone who was undoubtedly connected to this whole thing to boot.
Gregory sighed. He was truly living a nightmare.
'Oh, will you stop complaining!' He then heard Greglin's voice yelling at him. He had been listening in on the conversation.
'Easy for you to say. You don't have an evil doppelganger living in your head!' Gregory snapped back. 'Why don't you try living in my shoes before you go making judgments!' He added.
'Well your not exactly fun to be around either, Mr. Moody!' Greglin huffed back. 'Besides. I have lived in your shoes lest you forget we share the same memories!' He reminded.
'You're just an unwanted hitchhiker!' Gregory reminded him. 'And another thing! Stop treating my memories as your own!' He added.
'Hey! Did you forget they're my memories too!?' Greglin argued back.
'You've only experienced my memories. I've lived them!' Gregory shot back. Offended at Greglin for having the nerve to act as though he knew firsthand the torment those memories held. 'Don't you act like you have a right to my past, you bastard!' He insisted with a hiss.
in response, Gregory felt the pain of a psychic backlash. 'What your mouth!' Greglin hissed. 'Even if I didn't live through them, they're just as responsible for shaping me as they are you! So can it!' He snarled.
'Bullshit they are!' Gregory cursed back, only to get another kickback as a retort. This one was hard enough that even Greglin found himself wincing in pain.
"Ow!" He yelped, getting Vanny's attention.
"Are you okay, Greglin?" She asked in a concerned voice.
"I'm fine. Gregory's just being a baby!" He grumbled, rubbing his head. "He keeps nagging at me over the fact that I want revenge on the people who tormented me. Even though, according to him, I shouldn't have any investment in those memories as their "not mine."
'That's because they're not yours, you little troll!' Vanny heard Vanessa's voice say. 'Their Gregory's! His pain and suffering! You've no right to assign personal feelings to something that's not even yours you little monster!' She hissed. The security guard knew full well how her own alter ego had assigned her own personal "thoughts" and "feelings" related to memories of her life.
Vanny silenced Vanessa with an assault of mental backlash before addressing Greglin again. "Well, Greglin. You can tell Gregory that if he isn't a good boy, he can look forward to a punishment when we get home!" She said in an overly happy voice that crept Gregory the hell out. Even hidden within his conscious mind, Gregory could feel Vanny's wicked presence loom over him like a shadow of death. One that promised pain at the edge of her razor-sharp scythe if he misbehaved.
Greglin, however, giggled evilly as he smiled impishly to himself. 'Hear that, buddy? Better peep down, or Vanny's gonna give you a spanking!' He snickered, as he felt Gregory go silent at the prospect of facing Vanny's wrath. He then shot Vanny a grateful smile. "Thank you." He whispered.
"Any time, my little bunny~" Vanny cooed, as she leaned down, and gently nibbled on Greglin's ear which made him giggle, and Gregory worried that she would bite his ear off later.
With that bit of drama out of the way, the two continued as they soon arrived at the makeshift elevator that lead down the sinkhole in Roxy's Racing. Greglin held Vanny's hand as they boarded it, and rode it down. The elevator came to a stop and its doors opened to reveal their destination.
The ruins of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place.
This had been the site of William Afton's last actions in the world of the living. He had been lured here by Henry Emily as part of the man's scheme to finish off his former friend and business partner alongside William's oldest son, Michael Afton. However, both failed. And only succeeded in perishing in the fires they stoked. Leaving William free of two of his biggest obstacles.
And now they were here to see him at the request of his digital doppelganger. Undoubtedly so William could be introduced to Greglin personally. And as much as Vanny hated to admit to it, she was more than a bit concerned. Concerned over the idea that William might have demanded Greglin be brought to him just so that he could be killed. And his body harvested for its Remnant.
A prospect that...quite frankly didn't sit well with her.
Over the last few days, she had grown quite fond of their little Gregs. More so Greglin than his originator, but she would be lying if she didn't feel a soft spot for Gregory brewing. The boy was a little brat like most children, but she couldn't help but admire his tenacity. Enough that he had attempted at least five escape attempts with the last one nearly a success. Had it not been for Greglin being the good little boy he was, and bringing them back, she was certain he would have gotten away. The boy was determined if nothing else. And a part of Vanny admired that. Even if she did have to take over Vanessa and give the lad a good scarring to make him stay put (much to Greglin's amusement). She would hope that one day, like Vanessa, he would come to his senses and accept his new destiny.
Which is why she hoped that William would let her keep them. She would hate to lose either of her two Greggies (they were a package deal).
She then looked down at him."Come on, Greglin. It's time for you to meet Master." She said as she lead him down the ruined hallway. They soon arrived at their destination. And Vanny stepped forward to the recharge chamber that he was currently hooked up in. "Good evening, Master." Vanny greeted, bowing before him. As next to her, Greglin stared in awe at the sight before him as inwardly, Gregory felt cold dread come over him.
'What the hell is that thing!?' The brunette thought.
Before him was a recharge chamber like what could be found throughout the Pizzaplex. It was hooked up to a nearby power outlet. Inside, Greglin could see something peering back at him. The shape of a menacingly and decayed-looking mechanical rabbit with a broken mustard-yellow shell casting and sickly-purple eyes peering out at him with a vested interest. Though the mist obscured most of its features, the two Gregs could see the massive holes and bits of endo skeleton with flesh wrapped around its interiors.
Whatever it was, one thing was certain. It was an abomination. An outcry against everything natural in this world. The type of monster that his uncle Austin would have warned of made real. A demon that rose from the depths of hell to a world it didn't belong in.
And it was standing right before him. Looking at him.
With pits of purple hellfire for eyes.
It made Gregory very thankful that he was in the backseat of his and Greglin's consciousness. Anything to put some distance between himself and that monster was a good thing.
"Vanny. How nice of you to finally join me." William greeted leaving Greglin surprised. His voice reminded him much of Glitchtrap's. However, his was much deeper, more mechanical, and with a noticeable rasp.
"Always a pleasure, Master. I trust you are doing well this evening." She said happily.
"I am doing fine. Thank you for asking," William answered as he then shifted his attention to Greglin who flinched under his gaze. "And I see you've brought your new little protegee with you." He noted.
"Of course Master! Just like your digital self had asked." Vanny conformed.
"And you are the one Vanny had personally overseen the recruitment of?" William asked as his attention was still on Greglin. Who found himself staring back in awe at the mish-mash of machine and machine.
"Indeed!" Vanny smiled proudly as she placed her hands gently on Greglin's shoulders. "This is Greglin and his host Gregory," She announced, as she looked down at the young brunette beneath her. "Greglin? This is our master. The one who our creator Glitchtrap came from. The leader of the glorious Cult of Glitchtrap: William Afton!" She declared, gesturing towards him as she gently pushed Greglin forward. "Go on, little bunny. Say hello to Master Afton." She encouraged.
The younger of the two Glitchtrappeds turned to look back at the white rabbit killer. Who merely smiled and nodded back. He then turned his attention to William as he stepped forward.
"...H-Hello Master. It's a pleasure to meet you!" Greglin greeted, doing his best to smile. For some reason, he found his heart aflutter much to Gregory's confusion. "My name is Greglin. I hope I can be of service to you." He bowed.
There was a pregnant silence following Greglin's bow as William stared at the boy. Each of the four personas had their thoughts on what was about to transpire.
For Vanessa, she waited in absolute dread for William to claw the boy to death. If that happened, she was ready to fight tooth and nail to regain control over her own body to either attempt to save him or die on William's claws. For she had a gut suspicion that if either she or Gregory were to perish, their minds would be forever trapped in the digital landscape Glitchtrap held a portion of her mind in. And she would not let him suffer that fate alone.
For Vanny, she was fully prepared to spring to her little bunny's defense if William had deemed him unworthy. Ready to plead on his behalf, and to argue that they should give him a chance. And that they should give him a chance to prove he had something worthy to bring.
For Gregory, he was wishing he could ditch his body and book it. He didn't mind leaving behind his physical form if it meant he could put a few thousand miles between himself and whatever the hell William was. In part because of the dread he felt, but also because he was starting to feel some strange emotions brewing within him. He knew not what they were, but with odds, they were not good.
And finally, Greglin, who continued to stare at the abomination with a mixture of awe and wonder, was left confused by a slew of emotions brewing inside his heart. Being alerted to the fact that this thing was whom Glitchtrap had originated from had dulled whatever fear he might have experienced. But at the same token, he couldn't help but feel...something else...while looking up at William's mangled form.
Regardless, all four were on the edge of their seats. Ready to see what the infamous Purple Guy would do.
Then, William lifted a hand and gently placed it against the glass of his recharge chamber. As though reaching out in Greglin's direction.
"Come closer, please," William instructed. Confused, the boy looked back at Vanny, who only gave him a nod. He then approached the chamber slowly as he reached out.
'What the hell are you doing you idiot!?' He heard Gregory's voice roaring at him in disbelief. Greglin ignored him as he laid his hand on the chamber's glass roughly where William's was.
Despite having never seen this man/machine before in his life, Greglin couldn't but feel something...familiar about him. Looking up into his eyes, he felt a slew of emotions welling up inside of him. The chef among them is the feeling that he should know whoever or whatever it was inside the chamber.
'Why am I...feeling this way?' Greglin thought as the slew of emotions wrestled within him in a turmoil of running thoughts. It was enough to cause a tear to trail down the corner of his eye. Something that all involved took notice of. Especially Gregory.
'What in the world?' Gregory questioned. The last thing he had expected was for Greglin to start crying. Though like his counterpart, he could feel the mysterious slew of emotions storming inside of him. And he chalked it up to whatever Glitchtrap had done to him to spawn this dark side of him.
"Greglin...?" Vanny asked worriedly. Watching as Greglin touched his tear with his free hand before looking at it.
"Where did that... come from?" He wondered out loud. Feeling a bit embarrassed that he had suddenly started to cry for no reason.
That was when he heard William chuckle.
Startled, Greglin looked up at him. "M-Master Afton sir?" He asked in a worried tone.
"Master?" Vanny asked confused as William then broke out into a fit of barking laughter. Something that worried both Vanny and Greglin, as well as Vanessa and Gregory. Greglin turned to the former with a worried look on his face as he stepped away and back to her side as Vanny put a comforting arm around him. "Is something wrong, Master? Have I done anything to upset you" She asked worriedly as Greglin clung to her for life.
He then stopped. But the smile he sported never went away. "Wrong? Oh no, Vanny. Nothing is wrong. As a matter of fact," The leader of the Cult of Glitchtrap let out a much softer chuckle. "You've done quite a fair amount of right my devoted follower." He praised.
"I have?" Vanny asked, tilting her head to the side.
'You have?' Vanessa chimed in with a bit of sarcasm.
Vanny ignored the barb thrown at her and focused on the current situation. For she had been expecting to be thoroughly chewed out by William for having brought some random child into their little circle. Maybe even ordered to kill him as penance, though she certainly had hoped not. However, in hindsight, she should have guessed that wouldn't have been the case. After all. Glitchtrap would have never accepted Gregory even if he had found all the tapes if he wanted to kill him. What's more, William was aware of his digital self's actions. And if he had felt the need for the boy to die, he would have sent that message a lot earlier.
However, this had not the reaction Vanny had been expecting.
"Indeed you have, Vanny. Indeed you have," William confirmed, looking down at Greglin. "It seems that I haven't been giving you enough credit, my young apprentice. Your intuition is far greater than I had suspected. And it seems, as always, I have made the mistake of underestimating someone." He admitted with some amusement.
Left unsaid that it had not been to his detriment this time.
"Whatever do you mean, Master?" Vanny asked nervously. She was not used to such praise from William. So for him to speak of her like this was a great honor. Especially for an action done on a random whim.
His answer was short and potent. "You've brought to me, my son." He declared, much to the shock of both Vanny and Greglin.
"YOUR SON!?" They both exclaimed in disbelief. Inwardly, their counterparts had similar reactions.
'He can't be serious!' Vanessa exclaimed. She knew William Afton was mad, but this was downright insanity. 'He cannot be fucking serious!"
'Bullshit!' Gregory shouted. 'I know my father! And he was not some walking hunk of strap and flesh!' He hissed, a brief flash of pain crossing his eyes as he recalled his father, Ryan Clover. And the tragedy that befell him and his mother Bethany.
Meanwhile, Vanny could only stare at William in disbelief. "I'm sorry, Master. But did you just say I brought you your son!?" She exclaimed.
"That is correct, Vanny," William confirmed. "This young lad here is indeed my son. And you have brought him to me. Though I've no doubt you didn't know it at the time, this is a most fortuitous event." He said.
"B-B-B-But Mr. Afton how!? I thought that you-" She began to exclaim, only to be silenced when William raised a hand in her direction.
"Calm yourself, my dear." He said, in a surprisingly soothing voice. Vanny managed to get herself to relax before he continued. "The boy is indeed my son. However, he is not related to me by blood. Rather, he is my child by spirit. And I mean that in the most literal sense of the word." He clarified.
'By what!?' Gregory yelled, unsure if he had heard William correctly.
'Just what in the hell is he smoking!?' Vanessa exclaimed, only to be mentally kicked hard by Vanny. 'Ow...' She moaned as Vanny shook her head before she addressed her master.
"By spirit, Master?" She asked, and he nodded. "By whatever do you mean?" She asked before her eyes when wide. "Wait. You don't mean-?" She realized what he was getting.
"Indeed!" William laughed triumphantly as he grinned. "It seems that the fates have been kind enough to give my son a second chance at life. And have saw fit to return him to my arms." He said, much to Vanny's shock, and Greglin's confusion.
"Um. Excuse me? Master?" Greglin spoke up, holding up his hand as though he was asking a question in school. "D-Do you mind telling me what you're talking about? How am I your son?" He asked. "I mean...I know that Glitchtrap technically can be considered my father because he pulled me out of Gregory and that you are his originator so you can be my father by proxy as well. But from the sounds of it, you making it as though you are my father-father." He asked.
William stared at the boy for several seconds. And Greglin felt uneasy as he did. Worried that he might have upset the leader of the Cult of Glichtrap. William then leaned forward enough that Greglin was able to see his face clearly through the mist. The twisted, withered face of the Springlock Bonnie suit coupled with his teeth protruding out in front like that created a nightmarish visage that left Gregory terrified, but Greglin in awe.
"You are my son, Evan Afton." William began to explain. "Many years ago, you were the youngest of my three children with your older brother Michael, and your older sister Elizabeth. However, by a combination of a cruel twist of fate and Michael's stupidity, you had been ripped from my arms well before your time. And I have spent a lifetime's worth of research to get you back." He said in a somber tone. "However, all of my prior attempts have failed. But it seems as though fate has finally decided to reward by diligence and dedication at last." He said, looking down at Greglin with as much of a smile as he could muster.
"But...how can I be your son?" Greglin asked, confused. "I mean Gregory here had a father and mother at some point before they were killed. And no offense, Mr. Afton. But you don't look like Gregory's old man. So how could I be your son?" He questioned.
"Reincarnation," Vanny answered him. When Greglin looked at her as if to say "What?" (a sentiment he was sharing with Vanessa), she continued. "It's a belief shared by many religions in the world. That when someone dies, their souls are reborn into a new body and allowed to continue in this world with a fresh start." She explained.
"Indeed. And it seems as though we have witnessed one such reincarnation." William noted, not bothering to hide the satisfaction in his voice. "You should feel proud, Vanny. You are indeed one lucky little rabbit." He told his apprentice, who merely blushed and giggled in response.
Meanwhile, Greglin continued to stare at William in shock as he tried to process what was going on. "So... you're saying that I'm your son, but I died before and came back in a new body?" Greglin asked, earning a nod. "But how would you even know if I was your son or not? I mean...I don't think I look like him or anything." He asked.
"An excellent question," William admitted. "You do bear some similarities to my youngest. Just looking at you alone was enough to spark those old memories of mine." He confessed as he allowed a brief moment of reminiscing to come over him. "However, mere looks alone would not be enough for me to peg you as his reincarnation. Fortunately for me, I've developed a few...talents, over my long career of working with souls." He remarked.
"What kind of talents?" Greglin asked.
"Simply put? The ability to see the souls of others," William answered, much to Greglin's shock. "I can see beyond the flesh and blood of their physical forms. And grasp at the essence that lies within. And though it mainly serves to allow me to see the ghosts of those who linger on in this world, it seems as though my powers with it are greater than even I expected. Because even though your form is different, I can see the soul of my dear Evan buried deep beneath your flesh." He said, peering down at the boy with intent.
Yes. He could see him.
Beneath the visage of Gregory and Greglin, William could see the form of Evan Afton. Obscured behind the visage of Gregory's body, but visible nevertheless. Enough that he could see his little one's eyes were closed. He was still lumbering within the subconsciousness of his modern-day incarnate's soul.
"So...I'm your son from another life who has been reborn into this life?" Greglin began.
"That is correct." William nodded.
"And Vanny here was the one who introduced me to the game that lead me to meet your other self. Who then pulled me out of Gregory's, and gave me life," He continued.
"Yes, little bunny. You are indeed right." Vanny said.
Greglin looked back at her. "Did you know?" He asked.
"No." Vanny shook her head. "Believe me, Greglin. If I had, that would have just made me ten times more determined to snag you off the streets." Vanny smiled.
'How kind of you.' She heard Vanessa snark.
Greglin went quiet as he looked back and forth between his big sister and the man/machine claiming to be his father from another life. A slew of emotions wrestling with each other within his and Gregory's heart. Chief among them being confusion and...and happiness.
Confusion...over having been told that he was the reborn son of his Master.
And yet...happiness over having found a father who seemed to care about them (if he was counting Greglin). There was Glitchtrap to be sure, but here was an actual physical father he could talk to and interact with. Sure it sucked that he couldn't exactly do any normal "dad" things at the moment given his current circumstances, but it was better than nothing right?
It made his following statement that much easier.
"Then...I hope to make you proud, Daddy! Both you and Vanny! I wanna make you both happy!" Greglin declared with an evil smile. Much to William and Vanny's delight, and Vanessa's and Gregory's combined horror.
'What!? Your seriously believing the bullshit this walking slab of outdated meat is saying!?' Gregory's voice yelled at him in disbelief.
In response, Greglin mentally kicked back. "Shut up you!" He hissed venomously at his counterpart who winced in pain.
"Mm?" William said, causing Greglin to flinch.
"N-Not you, Daddy! It's Gregory!" He quickly said, hoping he hadn't offended the leader of the Cult of Glitchtrap. "His giving me a hard time because I choose to believe you! And his being mean and insulting you!" He added.
"That so?" William remarked, more amused than anything. "Well, I at least hope you gave him the old what for your old man." He remarked, earning a devilish grin from Greglin. However, before he could say anything, Gregory spoke up.
'Mean and insulting my ass!' He hissed despite the pain. 'Have you been listening to this psycho!? 'He is off his fucking rocker!' He yelled causing Greglin to growl.
'No, he is not! He is being honest!' Greglin insisted.
'Honest my ass!' Gregory yelled back. 'You believe all that bullshit about us being his reincarnated son!?' He asked, unable to comprehend that Greglin could fall.
'Didn't you feel that sensation earlier? The one that made us cry!? How familiar he feels to us!? That's the proof!' Greglin answered as he felt his fury rising along with Gregory's.
Unbeknownst to either of them, however. Something was beginning to stir inside them. Something that William had caught.
'Mm. Is that...?' The man-machine hybrid pondered to himself. Eyes fixated on the visage of his boy who lingered just behind Gregory and Greglin's shared form. He then noticed Vanny attempting to calm down Greglin (his rapidly reddening cheeks being a sign that he and Gregory were arguing) only to stop when William raised a hand.
"But-" She started to say, only to be silenced by a glare of glowing purple eyes. Before William returned his eyes to the sight before him.
'...'
Gregory snorted. 'His just messing with you!' He argued back. 'His just saying all that to get you to become his henchman! And his clearly doing something to us to make us feel that way so we'll buy his bullshit!' He continued.
'And how would you know!?' Greglin demanded.
'Because if you had seen my memories, you know that I've dealt with people like this!' Was Gregory's retort. 'I've met people like him! Dealt with people like him! The type of jackasses that will say and do anything to make you believe them so they can use and manipulate you just so they can throw you out later!'
'He is not like other people!' Greglin insisted, balling his fist. 'His being honest with us! I can feel it! Those emotions we experienced were proof enough of that!'
'...Stop.'
'Oh sure it is! And not just evidence you are an easily manipulated sycophant!' Gregory said with venomous sarcasm. 'Just like his claim that we're the reincarnation of his past son! It's all bullshit and you know it!'' He fumed, as their shared face was becoming redder.
'Your talking to a second personality that's living inside of your head! I don't think you have any grounds to question what is and isn't normal!' Greglin reminded him.
'...Stop...'
'Your just some AI that was implanted into me by that psycho that corrupted Vanessa!' Gregory retorted.
'But I was born from your subconsciousness!' Greglin pointed out with a smirk. 'Face it, buddy! I'm just as much a part of you as Evan is a part of us!'
'...Please stop...'
'Bullshit you are! And bullshit that I'm some psycho's reincarnated kid!' Gregory snarled. If he could, he'd be bearing his teeth at the moment. 'You wanna know what isn't bullshit though!?' He paused for a second. 'Your a whipped little sycophant! She's a psychotic furry! And he a delirious piece of scrap and shit! AND YOU'RE ALL OUT OF YOUR FUCKING MINDS!'
'Please stop it!'
'Why you!' Greglin snarled as he was fully prepared to render Gregory unconscious with a massive psychic assault for his insults to Vanny and William. His physical safety be damned!
He never got the chance. That was when it happened.
"STOP IT! JUST STOP! PLEASE! I CAN'T STAND ALL THIS YELLING!"
Everyone in the room was left stunned by the outburst that had come from Gregory/Greglin. Both Vanny and William's eyes became glued to them. Only, it had not been in either of their voices. But rather by a voice that William Afton had not heard of in a long time, but most certainly could never forget.
"Evan...?" In response, Gregory/Greglin turned to look back at William. And the hybrid of machine and machine felt his heart sink. For the image he saw was not of Gregory or Greglin, but of Evan Afton. Who looked up at him confused.
"Daddy...?" He whispered as William felt a sense of both relief and satisfaction coming over him.
"Evan." He whispered just loud enough only they could hear it. His hand reached out for the boy who lay just beyond his chamber as he did the same.
However, that was when Evan fell back into unconsciousness as his visage withdrew behind Gregory's form. Visible, but obscured. At the same time, Greglin stumbled backward as though in a daze. Nearly falling over as Vanny caught him before he hit the ground.
"Ssh, ssh! Easy there, little bunny. Vanny's here." She whispered as she held him close to her chest. Her hand gently rubbed his head to soothe his distress. They could see that his eyes were rapidly flickering back and forth between colors. And the sight of it sacred Vanny as much as it did Vanessa. Both noted that this had been the first time they found themselves agreeing on anything. "What happened?" She asked, looking up at William.
"it seems as though Gregory and Greglin's little tirade against each other affected Evan's sleeping subconscious," William concluded. "He always was a sensitive boy. Never could stand yelling all that much. And it seems as though the presence of a third individual within their shared consciousness was simply too much for both of them. And in short, caused them to suffer an overload when Evan withdrew back into their subconscious." He said while looking at Greglin whose breathing was still heavy.
"I - I see," Vanny said, looking down at Greglin. Eventually, his breathing was back under control and his eyes returned to their purple color.
"Vanny...?" He whispered, sounding very tired.
She hugged him. "Oh, my little bunny. You gave us quite the scare there." She whispered as she rubbed his head.
"I'm sorry. I don't know what happened." Greglin apologized looking down.
"You had an overload brought about by your three personalities becoming active at once," William told him. "Evan coming forth briefly as a result of your fight with Gregory had caused your mind to nearly break under the stress of having to manage three active individuals." He said.
Greglin let out a groan as he rubbed his head. "Thanks a lot, jerk." He murmured.
"Speaking of whom, how is Gregory?" Vanny asked.
Greglin then focused on their connection. "I think he is unconscious." He concluded.
"Probably a mixture of emotional stress, Evan's sudden surfacing, and the realization of the truth of the matter," William remarked.
Greglin snorted. "Good. After what he nearly caused me, I he can become comatose for all I care."
"Now, now little Greglin. Let's not be too hard on Gregory," Vanny gently chided her protegee. "His just not used to sharing a body with you yet. Give it time, and I'm sure he and you will become good friends." She added, ruffing up his hair. "I'd dare say the two of you could even become like brothers." She mused.
Greglin pouted but said nothing as William noted their interaction before he spoke.
"Well then, young man. Are you prepared to help Daddy and your big sister out?" He asked the young Glitchtrapped.
"Of course! Whatever you need, Daddy!" Greglin beamed happily with a glint of evil in his eyes.
"Good." William smiled as fiendishly as he appeared. "Now then, Evan - You don't mind if I call you that, do you?" He asked.
"By all means. Call me that if it makes you happy, Daddy!" Greglin beamed back to William's delight.
"Well then, Evan. As much as I would love to pick you up, as you can see, I'm not much in a condition to be moving right about now," He admitted sadly. "As such, I must regrettably inform you that we won't be able to be a proper father and son for some time yet." He said.
"Aw. That's not fair!" Greglin pouted. "We've only just met, and you're telling me I have to wait until we can hang out and stuff?" He said.
"My apologies, my boy. But as you can see, Daddy is not exactly in the best of conditions right," He said, motioning to his own ravaged form. "So our bonding exercises shall have to wait for the moment. In the meantime, I have a question for you, Evan."
"What is it?" Greglin asked.
Pausing for a second to look at her, he continued. "How do you feel about Vanny?" He asked who was taken aback by this.
Greglin turned his attention back to the blonde in the room, and then back to William before smiling. "She's the best!" He declared happily. "She took me off the streets and gave me a nice home! She lets me eat all the nice foods that I want, and she's so nice to me!" He gushed, causing Vanny to blush. "Not to mention, she's so pretty!" He added.
"Oh. Greglin. Stop! You're making me blush!" Vanny said teasingly, as she looked away to hide her red cheeks.
"But it's true!" Greglin said smiling. "Your so pretty, Vanny! And your costume is so cute too!" He added.
Vanny couldn't help but giggle. She had shown Greglin her costume a day or so ago and he had been enraptured by it. He had even asked to try it on, though Vanny declined. Telling him it was far too personal to her. Though that hadn't stopped her from putting it on and snuggling with him like an oversized plushie.
It had been an evening of cute, cuddly fun. And had given Vanny some ideas of her own. Namely that of Greglin his own cute little bunny costume. Now all she needed was the materials...
"Mm. I see," William hummed as his gaze fixated on his apprentice. "It seems the boy has taken quite a liking to you, my dear apprentice." He remarked in an amused tone.
"Indeed. And I've taken just as much of a liking to him as well!" Vanny declared happily, as she ruffed up a bit of Greglin's hair affectionately.
"So it seems," Willaim said, noting how Greglin leaned into her touch. A small ping of jealousy resonated from his being. Ignoring it for the moment, he continued. . "Very well then. Vanny?" She looked at him as he fixated on her with a serious expression. "You shall oversee Evan here just as my digital self had ordered until the day that I can do the deed myself," He told her. "You are to keep him safe, see to his education, and ensure his happiness. Do you understand?" He demanded, his voice carrying strong authority.
"Yes of course Master!" Vanny answered back happily as she hugged the young lad.
"Good. Because if you don't, I will personally take your head!" William warned her pointedly causing her to nod nervously. He then looked down at Greglin with a softer expression. "And Evan? Be sure to be a good boy for Vanny. And do exactly as she tells you to. Can you do that for me?" He said.
"I will Daddy!" Greglin promised, making William smile.
"Wonderful," He said. "Now then, Evan. Would you mind leaving me and Vanny alone for a little while? I have something I need to discuss with her." He asked.
"Okay, Daddy!" He nodded, as he then looked up at Vanny. "I'm gonna go explore around Roxy Racing. Is that okay with you, Vanny?" He asked.
She rubbed his head. "Have fun. And be safe." Vanny told him with a tap on the nose. She watched as he left in a hurry as she soon found herself alone with William. Much to Vanessa's horror as she hated being alone with the man who ruined her life.
"Vanny. I have an important task for you. One of a personal matter to me," William said in a serious tone. "Are you aware of one Greta Huffington?" He inquired.
"Oh, yes Master! I am very much aware!" Vanny readily answered. "Gregory had spent some time at her orphanage before me and Vanessa found him on the streets." She said. "And his time there was just awful from what we managed to deduce." She added.
"Then are you aware that the boy had been molested by his former caregiver?" William asked with disgust.
Vanny frowned. "I had... suspected as much," She answered. "Vanessa had managed to get Gregory to open up a little bit about his past. And he mentioned beatings from her...along with worst." She said.
"Then are you also aware that she is a fellow member of the Cult of Glitchtrap just like yourself and Evan?" He inquired.
Vanny was taken aback by this. "No Master! In fact. This is the first that I have heard of it." She said.
"Well, she is. Having been brought into my worship sometime shortly before you," William informed her. "Glitchtrap had overseen her development personally." That caused Vanny to frown.
"Then was he aware of...?" She trailed off, only for William to shake his head.
"No. It was a recent development,"He answered, shaking his head. "Regardless, though, the fact remains. Greta's actions are a big threat to our plans. And as such, she has outlived her usefulness to us." He said coldly.
Vanny could see where this was leading. "You want her gone." She deduced.
"Yes," William answered quickly and to the point. "Nonce is something that I cannot tolerate. Least of all from one of my worshipers. Such needless indulgences present a threat to everything I seek to achieve. Plus as a father myself, I find the act in and of itself thoroughly repulsive." He growled, before balling his hand into a fist, slamming it hard against the metal side of his chamber and startling Vanny enough to make her jump back. "ESPECIALLY WHEN IT IS DIRECTED AT ONE OF MY CHILDREN!" He yelled like a demon out of hell. His voice dripped with venom.
Despite the frightening display, inwardly, Vanessa couldn't help but be amused. 'So the child killer draws the line as molestation. Good to know he has something of a moral conscious.' She deadpanned.
It earned her a harsh mental kick from Vanny before the rabbit killer continued. "Let me be the one to get rid of her, Master." She insisted. When William turned to her, she continued. "She hurt my little Greglin. And no one hurts my little bunny!" She snarled as her eyes flashed with murderous intent.
That was when Vanessa chimed in. 'No. She hurt "Gregory"! Greglin wasn't even a thing at that point!' She added, feeling a bit offended that Vanny was using something horrible from Gregory's past as a sick justification for her hypocritical moral outrage.
Her remarks earned her another hard kick from Vanny. This one was hard enough to knock her out. 'How's about you take a breather, Nessie?' she taunted as she felt her counterpart's consciousness go quiet for the moment.
"That's what I wanted to hear, Vanny," William said, pleased with the young woman's decoration. "However, I don't just want her killed. I want her ruined!" He hissed with venom dripping from his voice.
"Rest assured, Master, it shall be done. Greta Huffington will rule the day she crossed you however unintended." Vanny promised with equal venom.
"Good. Now then, you may leave. I imagine Evan is eager for his big sister to join him." William instructed.
"Of course Master. And don't worry. I'll make sure to take good care of him." Vanny promised.
"See to it that you do, lest you suffer the consequences," William warned, causing Vanny to flinch under his hellish gaze which made her gulp.
"Of course, Master. I give you my word." She assured.
When William gave her a nod to leave, Vanny took it and left. Leaving the rabbit of flesh and metal to sit there and contemplate everything that had transpired that night.
'Glitchtrap was right. Tonight had been worth my time,' William thought, as his clawed digits idly drummed against the walls of his recharge chamber. 'My dear Evan has returned to me, albeit in a way I never would have suspected but gladly welcome. And in the body of a lad eager to please.' Williams's lips morphed into a demonic grin. 'Vanny's gamble couldn't have been any more perfect. For so long I have sought to bring back my child from the grave. And it seems that fate has finally decided to reward my efforts. Delivered on a silver platter, if only by a random chance of fate, at the behest of my loyal follower.' He added. 'Furthermore, I suppose I should be thankful for the arrival of Gregory himself. No doubt his presence will help reign in Vanny's less-than-agreeable side and keep that woman in her place!' He thought.
William knew that Vanessa was no willing follower of his. The woman needed his repeated torments and Vanny's influence to make her complacent. But he was aware that one day, it might all be too much, and Vanessa Anderson would take her own life. Damning herself to Glitchtrap's prison within the virtual realm if that is what it meant to stop herself from taking the lives of more children.
But now with the presence of their new little protegee, perhaps Vanessa would be a little bit more cooperative. That an unwillingness to leave him alone in this world, coupled with the guilt of having been an accomplice to Vanny's plan to "corrupt" him, would make her bite her tongue, and be more agreeable in the future. Especially if faced with the prospect of Gregory himself being condemned to the same possible fate. Trapped within the vault of Glitchtrap's little game.
Not that William would ever allow such a fate to befall his son. Should the worst come the pass, and Gregroy and Greglin perished, then he would demand that Glitchtrap release the boy's soul so that he could have him installed in a new body. And if Vanessa and Vanny were to perish, he knew the boys would be demanding his apprentice be brought back in a heartbeat.
Both of them insurance to ensure not only the others loyalty, but also their continued servitude.
And all with the neat little bow that his youngest had been given a second chance at life. A second chance that had brought him to his side after having been gone for so long.
William couldn't help but laugh evilly. It couldn't have been any more perfect.
Yes. Tonight had indeed been worth his time. Perhaps the wheels of fate were slowly starting to turn in the infamous purple murder's direction. If only Henry was here to witness it all...
In the meantime, Vanny was happy. Very happy. Jumping for joy happy. The serial killer went skipping' and dancing out of the old pizza place with a spring in her step. Mentally patting herself for a job well done. Never would she have imagined that things would have turned out this well.
Not only did she manage to bring in an adorable little apprentice that was crazy about her to boot. But said apprentice was also the reincarnation of her boss's deceased son from another life. And now, she would be the one educating him and training him with William's blessing to boot.
Vanny giggled to herself on the way to the elevator. 'I really do have rabbit's feet!' She thought as she spun into it as the door opened.
She was starting to consider those lottery tickets.
(Chapter Ends)
Author's Note: Hello, one and all. I'm IrysGundam005. And I see everything.
And thus we close chapter three of Glitchtrap. And would you believe that much like the last chapter, this one was originally going to be much longer as well?
To specify. Chapters two, three, and four were all going to be one big chapter (chapter two specifically). But after the twenty-thousand to twenty-one thousand word essay that was the first chapter, I decided to divide them into individual chapters. Both so I can flesh them out, and cut down on my workload. I don't need to do another thousand-word-plus chapter anytime soon. Just...no. Though something tells me this chapter is going to be quite long as well.
I guess I can't help it. I'm just a wordie person. XD
Now as for this chapter specifically. Let's go over a few things about it to help clarify some things.
1 - The William-Glitchtrap Relationship: I don't know how it is in canon, but for this story, Glitchtrap and William are two separate entities. With the former having been spawned from the latter's brain patterns. William is indeed aware of his digital avatar and uses him to recruit more followers into his cause. As well as a back-up in case his soul gets ejected out of his current body. Their relationship can best be described as "equals but not really".
2 - Gregory, Geglin, and Evan: You might have noticed that in chapter two Glitchtrap kept referring to Greglin as "son". This is the reason why. Gregory and Greglin are, in essence, the reincarnation of Evan Afton. Aka, the Crying Child of Five Nights at Freddy's Four.
Now for the record, I do not subscribe to the idea that Gregory is some robotic doppelganger of Evan. I can buy him being Patient 46 thing, as well as him being GGY from the Tales from the Pizzaplex books (hence my use of it in chapter one). But even I find the whole robotic doppelganger to be a bit ridiculous.
However, I am willing to make use of the idea of Gregory being Evan. Just with a bit more of a fantastical twist on it. Might seem a little ridiculous (along with William's new ability to see someone's soul and past lives), but hey? It's Five Nights at Freddy's. Souls were bound to be involved eventually. XD
Plus, it gives me a story angle to work with. The most obvious is Greglin. The revolution of him being the reincarnation of his master's son is one of his biggest motives outside of Vanny and revenge. He wants to make his daddy happy. As you might recall, I specified that Greglin was conjured from the depths of Gregory's subconscious. Part of that was Gregory's is yearning for a family unit that loves and cherishes him. So Greglin is simply action on that design to the first fatherly figure that presents itself. Especially when it's one that's taken a vested interest in him.
And don't you worry your pretty little heads, fans of Evan. The little guy is fine. He's just gone back to sleep inside Gregory/Greglin's subconscious. Rest assured, this is not the last we've seen of the Crying Child.
Also. As you can see, old Peepaw Willy ain't too pleased with old hag Greta feeling up his boy. Don't worry. Old Gretie will be getting her comeuppance eventually. Just wait.
3 - Bonnie's Decommissioning: I subscribe to the idea that Monty did indeed, decommission Bonnie. There's plenty of evidence in-game to provide proof of it. However, I am under the belief that he had done so because of Vanessa/Vanny's manipulation. Data logs in-game pretty much explain that Monty's fury is the result of his claws. This leads me to believe that Vanny via Vanessa had those installed into him to make him more aggressive so she could have trashed Bonnie to salvage his parts for William given Burntrap's haphazard appearances.
Anyway. that's enough of my ramblings. I hoped that you enjoyed this chapter. In the meanwhile, let's answer some reviews. :)
To hardrock21: Indeed. Rest assured that both the Churches and Ms. Huffington are going to be getting a visit from our favorite psychotic little murder gremlin and his equally psychotic big sister. And I look forward to writing that.
Well, that's all for today, folks. This has been IrysGundam005. And remember: I see everything. Take care.
