Chapter 469: the Good Dinosaur?

(Outside Royal Woods.)
The beautiful outside areas of the town are feeling peaceful and serene, nature is awake and so are the natural wildlife there: The Pokémon. But there is something else there as well, and it's fast asleep in a cave.
The large green creature wakes up from the sight of a Patrat on his face. "What the?" Arlo, the Apatosaurus gets up and the little Pokémon runs off. "Where? Where am i?" Arlo looks around and sees how peaceful the forest is. "Wow. This place looks so nice and peaceful." Then he recalls what happened.
It was a normal time for him and his family in the valley. He was happy in helping his mom and two siblings on their farm, but then another storm hits, but this storm is powerful and it brings down all that it has onto his home and Arlo, he tried to escape alongside his siblings.
But the storm got intense and he was swept away from its strong wings and tried to call out to his family, but as he was taken away by the winds he sees a land slide from the mountains above come down, and onto his family, he lost his poppa and now he's lost his siblings and his momma. That was the last time he saw them and he cried for them as he is sent hurdling into the eye of this very oddly colored storm. Its' blue.
Then, everything turns blue as he was sent right into a portal.
Arlo then sheds some tears. "No, no. They…. They can't be gone. They can't!" He then cries on the spot, while many small Pokémon arrive and feel bad for the large creature and then some Bulbasaur go towards him and they offer him some fruit.
Arlo looks to the little creatures and he sees the fruit they have, he is about to wipe away his tears but something else does and he backs up seeing the Venusaur using its vines to wipe away his tears.
The Venusaur calms him down and they give him some apples and oranges, Arlo is confused but he goes over and he eats among these plant based creatures.
Soon, he finishes eating and looks to all of them and bows. "Thank you for helping me, can you guys tell me where I am?" The Bulbasaur and Venusaur can understand him but when they speak he cannot understand them, and that's something Arlo can see as well. "Oh, well I think I can just ask. Can you guys show me where I can be able to go back to my home? I don't belong here, I'm lost."
Venusaur nods and he walks somewhere with the Bulbasaur following him, and so Arlo follows him as well. He knows they're leading him somewhere.
They continue to walk and Arlo takes in all the sights of this forest and all the odd creatures all around the place. From Oddish, Seedot, Budew, Iggly Buff, Cleffa, Charmander, Snivy, Chikorita, Treecko, Froakie, Teddyursa and tons of other forest based Pokémon, and some of the make him scared.
Arlo is more scared when he hears this weird sound and he can see something walking at the distance, a Regirock.
Soon, Venusaur stops and so do the Bulbasaur group and Arlo sees them stop. "What is it? What's wrong?"
Arlo then sees the Venusaur point to the place and he sees what looks like tall objects and he can hear some sounds coming from there and he sees this large thing flying at the location, it was the town of Royal Woods. "You want me to go there? Is that where I can find my way home?"
The Venusaur nods. Arlo smiles. "Thank you, I won't forget this, thank you." He knows he has to walk straight and so he does, he makes his trek through the forest and walks to the location of this place, but he fails to see the sign that says: Tall Timbers Creek. But he can't read.
(Royal Woods.)
The town is feeling peaceful and everyone seems happy with the fact there hasn't been any crime for the past three days, what they don't know is that something will come to their home, something that doesn't belong into their world or even their timeline.
Liam and Tabby are both sitting on a bench at Tall Timbers Creek and both of them listening to some music that Tabby made. "Dang darlin' this song can be good for Luna and the band" said Liam.
"I'm still unsure, I mean I want them to perform this, but I need to know what they think. Also, I have this other song for them to perform when November hits, I played this game called Doom and I was hoping they'd make a song about it" replied Tabby.
"I'm sure they'll like it, who know what could happen and if it does make the cut then you can be able to listen to it as everyone else enjoys it" replied Liam.
But they have no idea something is seeing them, Arlo sees the two kids and is confused. 'Huh, they look like Spot, but different and have colorful skin. Are they like Spot but, different?' Arlo feels scared to interact with them, but he needs to go home and so he begins to walk out of the bushes and he walks towards them.
Liam and Tabby continue to talk about things, but then a shadow looms over them. Liam and Tabby stay still. "Okay, either there is a Pokémon with us, or it's some kind of prank" said Tabby.
"Only one way to find out" said Liam. They both turn around and they see large green toes and feet, and they see it connected to very tall green legs and to a green body with a long tail and they see the long green neck and the head of a creature looking at them.
Liam and Tabby are shocked. "Is that a dinosaur?" asked Liam.
"Looks like it, and not the meat eating kind too." Tabby then takes a picture and she sends it to Lincoln, no she did not use a flash otherwise he'd be scared off. "So, what the heck do we do now?"
"I think we should take him to see Lincoln and the others, if other folks come here they might overcrowd the big guy" replied Liam.
"Good idea luv" replied Tabby. They both get off the bench and walk towards the big green dinosaur.
Arlo sees this and feels scared and he backs away in fear. Liam and Tabby can see this. "I think the big guy is scared of us" said Tabby. She then goes over slowly. "Easy now big fella, we're not gonna hurt you."
Arlo doesn't like these creatures that were like spot, they seemed scarier than Spot. Then he sees Liam walk towards him with something he's known, Liam brought with him some wheat. "Here buddy, want some?"
Arlo sees this and he walks towards them, he knows and has seen this many times back at the farm he and his family had, well once had. He then sniffs it and smiles, the smell of the wheat was enough to make him remember the family he once had.
Liam smiles and he pets the head of the green dinosaur and Arlo accepts his hand and calms down. "Huh, looks like he knows wheat. Was there ever wheat in them dinosaur era or somethin'?"
Tabby also places her hand to the head of the dinosaur and she hugs him. "Aww. He's just a big softie and I think he might be a kid, I've seen dinosaurs like him but way bigger, so he must be a kid or a teenager, and chances he could be lost, like how a child is looking for his/her mum."
Liam then walks around Arlo and looks to his feet and he wipes away some of the twigs and branches. "We have to take him to Lincoln and to the other Royal Defenders. They'll know what to do."
Tabby nods and she follows Liam out of the park, Liam looks back and motions the green dinosaur to follow him. "Come on big guy, come on. We're gonna help you get home."
Arlo sees this, he knows he can trust them and so he follows them. Arlo continues to walk and he does his best to avoid some of the things he has never seen before. Benches, trash cans, fences, flower gardens of different flower species and then he sees the water fountain and goes towards it.
The water fountain squirts out water as he goes near and he drinks from it. Liam and Tabby see this. "Huh, looks like he's thirsty" replied Tabby.
Arlo then stops and he looks to Liam and Tabby and continues to follow them, but then he sees a large shadow looming over and he looks up and is horrified to see something above them, Boomer's Super Kirov Airship and if we can recall, every Kirov Airship has a menacing face!
Arlo's eyes shrink and Liam and Tabby know this is bad. "Big guy, calm down! It's not dangerous… Well, it technically is, but it ain't gonna harm ya!"
Seeing this, Arlo picks up Liam and Tabby and they're now on his back and he makes a run for it. "Whoa! Calm down! Stop!" said Tabby as she and her farm boyfriend hold on tight.
The people in the park see the green dinosaur and they all back off to safety and some of the Faunus and Protoss guards see this. "All protoss forces: We have a prehistoric creature in Royal Woods, do not engage and try to keep it calm and contained, now!" The protoss and White Fang then go after the dinosaur.
One of the White Fang troops see the two kids. "We also have children on its back, I repeat there are civilians on the dinosaur, do not bring harm to it and contain the creature till back up comes!"
Arlo then makes it out of Tall Timbers Creek and is now on the road and he sees a car stop in front of him and he panics and runs for it, Jackie and Mandee are shocked at what they saw and they call Leni.
Arlo then continues to run through the road and sees so many structures he doesn't know about. He then looks around and sees all the creatures looking at him and they too have the same odd animals he saw from the forest and he panics. He then roars and races through the road.
Bobbie Fletcher stops at the red light and then she advances as the light turns green, but she stops when she nearly gets hit by the dinosaur and she sees what was going on. "Well, looks like it's time to help out." She then drives and follows the dinosaur with the two kids onboard and she's being followed by Guardian Tanks and Stalkers.
Arlo keeps running, the Stalkers manage to blink and are now running with the dinosaur and Arlo is shocked by these four legged things. One of the Stalkers looks to Liam and Tabby. "Do not worry, we will get you off the creature."
"No wait! Do not harm him, he's just scared. We need to find some way to calm him down!" said Liam.
The Stalker nods. "Understood, we have contacted the Royal Defenders and they are inbound." A Tiger Tank comes out from one side of the road and drives next to Arlo, which freaks him out some more.
Leon opens the hatch and sees this. "Holy shit! Another dinosaur? Why does this one look different?"
"We have the net ready and loaded!" said Sergei as he drives. "Standing by to engage!"
"No don't!" yelled Tabby. "You'll only make it worse, he's scared and needs to be calmed down!"
"And if we don't stop him, then he'll do a whole lot of damage to this town!" said Leon. Leon is then knocked off the tank because he did not see the sign being lowered from the nearby shop. "Ow!"
Sergei sees this. "Well, that was kinda funny. We need to find some way to slow him down and then grind him to a halt!"
Liam then has an idea and he uses his phone and calls Lincoln, while he calls Lincoln Martin is in the sky and sees this. He's in his Tech Sector suit. "GLADIS scan that dinosaur for me please?"
His scanners look to the green Apatosaurus. Arlo is freaked out even more from the flying thing.
"This dinosaur is not from the timeline or this world, his name is Arlo and he seems to belong to an era of dinosaurs who have survived through extinction because the asteroid missed the planet."
Martin is shocked. "Wow! I always wondered what would happen should the asteroid doesn't hit the earth, alright we need to find some way to calm him down and the new scanners of identity really do help figuring things out, I made the right call with that kind of tech."
He then flies next to the dinosaur and sees Liam and Tabby. "I hope you have a plan kid, because we need to stop Arlo before it is too late, also that's his name. I scanned him and got some info, well some info and he does not understand us at all!"
"I called Lincoln and he's headed to my farm to get somethin' for me, I know how to calm him down!" said Liam. "We need to clear out all obstacles so there won't be any damage!"
"On it!" Martin flies ahead and he does what he can to keep anything in their way clear of the dinosaurs rampage, well panicking rampage.
Everyone is alerted and all of them steer clear of the signs of the dinosaur coming, he's not as tall as buildings which makes it hard to see, but Boomer can see Arlo running and he signals everyone where he is.
They all continue the pursuit and also decrease the forces chasing, even Bobbie Fletcher backs off as to not scare the big guy. Liam then looks around. "So, where the heck is my plan at?"
Then a Green Caterpillar Dump Truck with a Decepticon logo is blocking the way, Arlo makes a stops and sees the large green thing. "What the?"
Martin then hovers next to Liam and Tabby. "So, this is the plan? One of the constructicons comes and acts as a blockage? Well, Longhaul is big and hard to move."
Liam smirks and sees Lincoln standing near the truck. "This truck ain't the plan, it's what the truck is carrying that's the plan." Liam nods and Lincoln pats the side of the trucks tie and Longhaul unloads his cargo, which is tons of wheat and barley onto a large tarp on the ground so it won't be wasted.
Liam chuckles and Tabby goes wide eyed. "Liam you brilliant farm boy!" She kisses his cheek.
Everyone else is confused by this, but Arlo sees this and he goes over and takes in the smell of the farm resource and he calms down.
"Whoa! How the heck did you know this would work?" asked Bobbie Fletcher as she arrives with the rest of the police force and the other Royal Defenders.
"When we met the big guy, he seemed very fond of the wheat I brought with me, and so figured out that this big guy would be calmed down from the sight of something he knows and I think he knows and loves this here farm style class I came to know and love" replied Liam.
Soon, they go around the dinosaur who just takes in the smell of the wheat, but then they see something is wrong. Arlo is shedding tears and looking down and crying. They all felt bad for him.
"So, he is just a big kid who's lost in our world" said Linka as she pats the foot of the dinosaur. Everyone else goes over to comfort the green Apatosaurus.
Arlo notices this and he now sees, these creatures are not dangerous, they're nothing more than a home of more creatures, like a herd living together and trying to maintain peace. He now knows he can trust them, just as he trusts the boy and girl he met earlier.
(Royal Fortress.)
Arlo is in the large hangar bay and is being scanned by the technology there, while at the same time being calmed down by Liam and Tabby so he doesn't freak out in where he is.
Martin then has the results. "So, the scanners say is true. He is an 11 year old Apatosaurus named Arlo and he is definitely not from our timeline or even our earth, not much is known about him and I don't think his fossil would've even existed if he had an extinct counterpart, but I did get some info that the earth he's from has not been struck by that dreaded asteroid."
This shocks the others. Then Victor figures it out. "The dinosaur's must've learned some forms of civilization and so they have adapted to times even before humans came, chances humans exits in their world, but in the earliest and not so smartest of times."
"But what world is he from?" asked Lori. "And where the heck is Gyro?"
Jack Cyber then finishes trying to get a call. "Okay, so I got word from Pyrrha that Gyro went to the Loudverse known as the Family of Two and it's unknown when he'll be back, so I guess we're on our own till he gets back here."
"In the meantime we keep this Arlo safe and healthy from harm and away from anything he might damage, and also freak out from" replied Penny. She then looks to everyone else. "So, where is he staying?"
Neil thinks. "He'll freak out at the sight of any of my swarm coming to visit and he might also freak out should the Great Gate glow and something comes through."
"He can't stay at our place, the Droidekas might scare him, and when Leon uses the Tiger, that thing will make a loud noise from its engine and then he'll panic" replied Sergei. Leon nods, confirming it's true.
"We can't bring him back to the Loud House, even though Lana and Lisa would love him to be around, he has no place to stay" replied Luan. "He'll be roaring up a storm when he goes prehistoric!" They all groan from that pun. That was terrible!
"No way in hell is he staying here at the Royal Fortress. This is no place for a large kid of a dinosaur, he could literally freak out and have a breakdown and I doubt we can bring him to Isla Cretacia, the dinosaurs there might not recognize one of their own from the ancient times" replied Martin.
"Not in my airship, he might be scared of flying" replied Boomer.
They all look to him confused. "Dude, why the heck would we even ask you to keep the big dude there?" asked Luna.
"I think I liked you better when you were depressed" said Leon. They then continue to talk about where Arlo can stay while they wait for Gyro to help them find out where he lives.
Lincoln looks to the main hangar through the window and he sees Liam and Tabby enjoying the company of Arlo and he enjoys there's. Lincoln smiles and has an idea. "Guys, I think I know where he can stay."
(Nighttime, Bumpkin Farm.)
Liam goes over with his memaw and they place the large blanket over Arlo who is now inside the barn, two days ago Liam and his family had the barn renovated and now it's bigger and all thanks to a hefty donation of cash from Lincoln, he wants the barn to be bigger since Liam's farm is the closest working backbone to Royal Woods society alongside the other farms run by Faunus citizens.
Liam's barn still has some areas that haven't been changed, like where he was born from.
Liam then adjust the large blanket and goes over to Arlo's head which is laying on some nice soft hay. "Sleep tight Arlo, tomorrow we'll all figure out what to do to help you get home big fella."
"Well Liam, I'll leave you with your friend here." Memaw bumpkin heads back into the house, and Liam grabs his sleeping bag and he snuggles next to the good dinosaur.
"Good night big buddy, see you when the daylight hits." Liam then closes his eyes and he gets some sleep.
Some of the farm Pokémon, including Liam's Mudsbray come over and also snuggle close to Arlo to keep him safe and give him some company. Arlo smiles seeing this and he slowly closes his eyes.
He even smiles at the sight of where he is, it reminds him of his home and everything he once knew and loved from where he came from and seeing Liam reminds him of spot, only this time the kid is taking care of Arlo, like when Arlo did his best to take care of Spot.
'I don't know what you're name is, but thank you.' He then looks around at all the sleeping creatures and smiles.
'These creatures and that kid, they aren't so bad. I can trust them, maybe I can come back home when the time is right. I know my family is still okay, I just know it.' He then drifts to sleep and he dreams of his momma, and his siblings, and even his deceased poppa.
He knows he'll be home soon.
