Chapter 4: First Night
After Ellie got ready to go out and do some exploration, she get out of her room and started walking toward the port area and plaza to find a store to buy or rent what she needed. The lodging house wasn't far from the port, so it was a short walk to the commercial area. She saw a few places to eat and stores to buy souvenirs and things like that, but not what she was looking for yet. Then after some walking and taking some pictures of the place, she saw a few young men eating outside a place with surfboards on top of the jeep that was parked closer to them. Ellie smiles, knowing that they can help her to find what she was looking for.
The men were laughing and talking when she got closer to their table, so maybe they were friendly and willing to help her. "Hi… do any of you speak English?" she asked as soon as she got beside the table.
One of the men stops laughing and looks at her. "Well, hello there…" said the young man as he checked her out.
"Of course, we speak English… Babe, we're American." said another one. "Are you lost or are you looking for some fun?"
Ellie rolled her eyes as soon as they start with the comments. She already knows this kind of guy, and she hates them, but she needs help so she will try anyway. "Actually… I need some help with something. I saw your jeep over there and notice the surfboard on the top, so I was wondering if you know where I can buy or rent surf stuff?" she asked very politely.
One of the men stood up and went close to her. "Did your boyfriend send you to buy his stuff?" he asked. "What a lame…" he added why moving closer to her in a sexy way.
"No, those are for me… I like to learn how to surf… so-" she stops when all four guys on the table start to laugh again. Ellie waited for a few minutes before she spoke again. "I don't see the funny side of that… so can any of you help me or not?"
All of them stop laughing. "Oh… you were serious?" asked the one that was closer to her.
"What?… have any of you ever seen a woman surf before?" she said while putting her hand on her waist. "You ever seen any woman in a surf competition? There are a lot of women that surf now… this is the 21st century… if you must know."
The one that was closer to her spoke up. "Yeah… we saw them… but that does not mean that we have to approve it… surfing is a dangerous sport that was meant for men, so it should be handled by men… not by women, no offense," he said with a grin on his face.
"Well, I didn't think that young men were still thinking that bullshit… but since I can see that you do, let me tell you something. This world is now in the 21st century where women do the same things as men and sometimes even better… So yeah I found your comment to be very sexist and offensive." she said while looking at the young man in front of her.
"Have you surfed before?" asked another one from the table.
"No… but that doesn't mean that I can't learn… and if I found someone to teach me I'm sure that I can be good at it," Ellie answers him fast.
All the young men start to laugh again. "Oh… I want to see that… so maybe I can teach you some moves if you are up to it…" said the one close to her.
"Yeah… you can come with us… and we can teach you a few things," said one from the table.
Ellie already was getting annoyed and mad, so it was better to get away from these creps before things get ugly for them. She may be a woman but that doesn't mean that she can't kick some stupid ass. "You know what… I think I will find one myself. One that is not a prick ass, but thanks you for your ignorant chat." Ellie turns around and starts to walk away.
"Hey!... what the fuck you said to us?" One of the young men on the table stood up and was going to go after her, but the older one stopped him.
"Forget it…" he said while holding his arm. "The last thing we need is to get into trouble. You know that your uncle will get mad if we do…"
The one that was closer to Ellie watched her go, before turning his face toward his friend. "Fuck… are we going to let her go just like that?"
"Yes… now let's go to the beach before we lose the good waves," said the older of the young men.
"Yeah… Fuck that bitch… and let's go to the beach," he said as soon as the older man let go of his arm. The other three on the table stood up, left some money on the top of the table, and started walking toward their rental jeep. But the one that was close to Ellie turned around and looked at her before she walked too far. "Good luck finding someone here to teach you… baby. No one here likes surfing… girls," he yelled before getting into the jeep.
Ellie hears the man before they drive away, but she doesn't pay too much attention after that. After 20 minutes of walking around, Ellie found a place that sells surf stuff. Okay, this looks promising, so let's check it up. She said to herself before getting inside the store. Soon Ellie was inside, she started to look around and see what they got. Soon Ellie saw the surfboards at the back of the store, she quickly walked toward there.
She knows that she can't take any surfboards with her, so she needs to find out if they rent them and if they know someone that can teach her. As soon she gets closer to the boards, Ellie starts to look at the different styles, sizes, and colors. She doesn't know much about surfing, except for some information she found on the internet. So it was good to find someone that can help her.
"Are you looking for something in particular?" said a man behind her.
Ellie jumped a little as she was not expecting someone behind her. She quickly turned around and looked at the men. "Oh… hi… you speak English, great… Do you work here?" she said as soon as she looked at him. The man looks like he is in his 40s, but he looks in great form.
"Yeah I work here… and yes I speak English. As this is the commercial area… a lot of store owners hire people to speak different languages, since there are a lot of tourists coming here."
"Well, that is good to know… because. Mi espanol… no es… bueno." Ellie smiled at the man before turning around to look at the surfboards. "Some of these look cool, but as I'm just on vacation I was thinking of finding one for rent."
"Oh, I see… well we only have them for sale… so I'm sorry to hear that."
She turned to look at him again. "Oh… I see," she said with a disappointed tone. "Do you know a place where I can rent one? And get some classes?" she asked him.
The man moved one hand on his shin. "I think that there are a few places on the northeast beaches that rent them, but I'm not sure if they have any available at this time of the day or if they have anyone that can teach.."
"Can you tell me how to get there?"
"Are you planning on surfing?" asked the man.
"Yeah… well, I need to learn first… of course. I just wanted to try it as a hobby." She looked at him and the expression on his face. "Oh… are those who think that surfing is not for girls?"
The man smiled at her. "Not at all… I know a few great women that do surfing, but a lot of men local and the ones that come here don't agree that women had the right to surf too. So they give them a hard time when some come here. So you need to be careful if you go to one of those beaches they use to go to, they can be real assholes."
"Yeah… tell me about it. I have already found some of those asses on my way here…" she said with a mad expression. "I don't care if some surfers here don't like women in this sport, but I think that we have all the right to go to the beach and try… beside I just want to have some fun and learn how to do it. Is not like I want to be a professional or something… is something that I want to try… that it," she said while looking at the old man.
"You don't need to explain yourself… miss… I'm cool with that. I just want to let you know how some people act around here about the surf thing."
"Well, thank you…" said Ellie while turning around and looking at the boards again. She moves closer and touches one of them, feeling the soft surface. "So… you don't know anyone that can teach you how to surf around here?"
The man moved closer and looked at the board she was touching. "Is a beauty, right?" he said with a smile on his face.
"Yes… it is. Well, I don't know much about surf… this one looks great."
Yeah… if I remember well. This one was made by hand for a man that give classes before… but he stops do it a few years ago." he said with a sad tone. I don't know if anyone that of those shot has someone to teach, but try someone else here it will be hard because some of the men here don't like women in that sport."
"What about that man you mention? Do you think he is still around? Maybe I can talk to him and make him change his mind.
"Oye Pite… hay más cleantes en la parte del frente… puedes atenderlos?" said the man that was now behind the counter.
"Okay… ya voy," he yells back. "I have to go now… or the boss's son is going to start giving me shit." he turned around and started walking away.
"Hey!… I still want to buy a few things I need. So can you help me out?"
The man stops and turns around. "Okay, what you're looking for?"
"I saw in a USA competition, that some women use some kind of wet suit… like the one is used to dive… do you have something like that here?"
The man walks toward her. "Oh… yeah, you definitely can use one of those to keep the water away from your body as much as possible." he turned his head and looked around. I think we have some of those around here." ho continue looking for the place they are. I think we have them on the other side of the store." he said pointing in that direction.
"¡Hey! Pite!" yelled the young man again. "No te pagamos para hablar… tengo más clientes aca."
The old man rolled his eyes. "Ya voy… estoy atendiendo a una cliente aca… asshole…" he mumbled the last part. "Okay, I have to go now and see what he wants, but if you need any more help I will be at the front… okay." he moved away after that.
After Ellie buys the wetsuit and a few other things she will need, she goes back to her room to leave all that there. Then Ellie asked the counter attendant if he can call her about any kind of transportation service that can take her to the beach. Half an hour later a car showed up that took her to the beach. Soon she pays the man, and he drives away but gives Ellie a car so she can call him to pick her up when she wants to go back to the hotel. Soon the man was gone, Ellie walked on the sand until she arrived at the hill that separated the road from the beach. Ellie watched all the people that were there. Half of them were on the sand talking with other people or doing some activities. The rest of them were on the water swimming on one part, but deeper into the water where the surfers were. She watched them for a few minutes, before starting to walk down the hill and into the beach.
Ellie was walking down when she heard a new car stopping behind her, so she turned her head to look at them. She saw a bunch of men yelling as they started to grab their board and move away from the car. After a few seconds, all of them were walking toward her.
"Hey babe… did you come here to watch some real man surf?" said one of them as soon as he got closer to her.
Ellie had to roll her eyes at the comment. "I just came to see how things move around here," she answered him politely.
One of the men stopped beside her and put his board on the sand. "Well, this a good place to have some fun… if you are looking for some…" he said with a smile. Ellie thought that this place was going to be better than California but it looks practically the same.
The other 4 men grab their boards and start running toward the beach. Soon they pass them. One of the young men hit him in the back. "Como lover boy… leave the lady in peace… is getting late…"
"Yeah… let's hit the wave why we still can," yelled another from far down.
The young man looks at them. "Yeah… I'm coming…" he yells before turning his head to look at Ellie. "Do you want to come with us? We can have some fun later… what you said?"
"Sorry, but I have a few things to do… but have fun with your friends," she said, trying to get rid of him.
The man just smiled. "It is you lost… babe," he said while grabbing his board and starting to run to the beach. "But if you change your mind… look for me… okay!" he yells from a distance.
After that Ellie continued walking down and looking for any sign of a post there that can rent a surfboard. She walks through the people on the beach but doesn't find any. There were only a few food trucks up the hill and a few men selling hats and other things around the beach. So since she was not going to find anything there, she just laid her thing on the sand and sat on top of her towel in a good spot she found and just watched the men that were surfing in the water. It was cool to watch, and maybe by doing it, she can learn a few things from them until she finds one to teach her.

Before he drives away from the port, Joel finds a couple that was moving out of a hotel and they need a ride to the north part of the island to take the ferry that goes to the small airport to take a plane back to the mainland. It was not much money on that, but at least it was something extra. Joel knows that he needs to go to the bar before his boss calls him again. It was past 5:00 pm when he arrived, so he parked his jeep in the back. Soon Joel gets out and walks toward the back door and enters the place. He finds the owner yelling at a few people in the small kitchen. The place is a bar restaurant, so they not only serve drinks but also food too. The bar is the bigger one with live music and a dance floor. During the day, the place is really slow, but at night can get full in no time.
"Hey… you're late…" said his boss as soon as he saw him enter the kitchen.
"No… I'm not! You said that you need me at night and it is just starting to get dark outside… so don't give me that crap… or I just go back to my house," said Joel with an annoyed tone.
The man walked toward him and put his arm around his neck. "Hey… don't take it like that… you know that I always help you… so be nice and help me out… okay," he said while pulling him to one of the cooking spots. "Now… Ramon can't come today, so I will need you here in the kitchen tonight… the others will help you up as tonight is going to be a busy day… a lot of tourists coming today so we need to make a good impression if we want to keep this place open…" he turns around and looks at the rest of the crew there. "And that was for all of you… too."
Joel rolled his eyes, but he knew that the kitchen was not so bad for him. "Okay… at least this is better than being a bouncer… so this will be an easy night," he said with a happy tone.
Matt turns around a look at him. "Ahhh… don't get your hopes up just yet… the night is young and there is a lot of tourism coming here tonight… and most of them are young and they drink and eat a lot."
Joel's smile disappears fast. "Yeah, they also like to make trouble when they drink too much…" he said knowing what young men do when they get drunk. "Also I don't want to deal with that arrogant kid from this morning… if he gets close to me with his crap again, I will not be held responsible for his safety."
"Ahhh… Don't worry about him… he is not going to be here tonight… have to do some errands for his dad… so it's all good."
"Well, I hope so, I just want to have a peaceful night here without any trouble."
"That is why I have you here for… to keep it that way," he slapped his back, before starting to walk out of the kitchen. "Just make sure to not burn the place down… okay?" he yelled before leaving the kitchen.
"I will do my best… but I am not making any promises…" said Joel while turning around to look at the two boys there. "Ok, muchachos… hora de cocinar." he claps his hands together and moves toward them.
A few hours have passed and Joel continues cooking in the kitchen. The bar starts to get crawler as the night activity on the island continues. Summer was a good time for local businesses as a lot of tourists come to the island to enjoy the beaches. Lucky for Joel, his work in the kitchen was more demanding and they do not have any problem with any customers yet. But the night was young and he expected that that would not last for long. Joel was finished preparing his last order when the young woman that was taking the orders entered the kitchen.
"Hey Guapo… ya está listo el pedido de la mesa 3?" said the woman as soon as she got close to the service counter that divided the cooking partly from the little space that is close to the kitchen door.
Joel rolled his eyes before finishing putting the food on a plate and walking toward the small counter. "Aquí está tu orden… algo más?"
"Ahhh… acaso eso es una propuesta? Porque si lo es… podemos salir después del trabajo y pasarla bien," she said winking at him.
Joel rolled his eyes. "¿Qué hay de tu novio? No creo que él esté de acuerdo con que salgamos juntos a divertirnos," said Joel while grabbing a towel and start to clean his hand."
"Ahhh… ¿te refieres a Juan? No creo que le importe mucho, siempre está trabajando fuera de la isla… Y yo tengo necesidades también…"
Joel looks at her and pushes the plate toward her. "I will pass… but thanks," he said before turning around and going to check the next order.
"Eso fue un sí o un no?" she asked while grabbing the plate.
"No!" he replies quickly.
"Ahhh… tu te lo pierdes cariño… pero si cambias de opinion avisame," she said before turning around and walking out of the kitchen.

Ellie was walking on the sidewalk looking at the address on the paper that the old man gave her after Ellie called him from the beach and asked him for the address of the place. She told him that tonight she wanted to go to a good place to get some food, and since he recommended the place she wanted to go there. Soon the man gives her directions, and she goes back to her room, takes a shower, and gets ready to eat. As the night was moving in town, Ellie saw a lot of places around that had music and where a lot of people were around. She saw people dancing in front of the place where the music was loud and others eating at outside tables. After looking for half an hour she finally found the place. Okay, this looks like a nice place… and the music sounds good and more important… I'm really hungry. She said to herself as soon as she stopped in front of the place that has a sign that said 'El Paraiso Tropical: Bar & Food'
Ellie looked around before going inside, the front of the place was a little crowded, so she needed to squeeze between the people there. Soon she goes in, and Ellie looks at the inside of the place. It was a special kind of bar restaurant, and it seemed like people there were having a good time. She noticed that there were a lot of local people, but a lot of tourists too. The decoration was tropical-like around the main room and the bar counter at the end. In one of the corners was a group of five people playing instruments and singing live music. After a few minutes, Ellie starts to look for an empty table but stops when a man walks toward her.
"Bienvenida a Último Paraíso hermosa dama…" said a man with tropical clothing and extended his arm to the side happily.
"Hi… I'm not sure what you said but…" Ellie stops as she forgets that most people here only speak Spanish. "Sorry I always forget that not all people here not speak English… Did you have someone here that speaks English?" Ellie asked.
"No need to worry about that… my young lady… this is a tourist area, so a lot of us do," he answered her with a friendly voice.
"Oh… that is great…" she said with a relieved voice. "Okay, a man that I met on the fly here recommended this place… He said that this was the best place to eat in town, so I came here to see if that was true," she said with a smile.
"Oh… that is great… and I can tell you that you came to the right place. I'm glad to hear that someone recommended this place as the best place around here. I can quarantine you that we have here the best drink, food, and dancing music of the island… so you came to the right place." The man moves beside her. Now come with me I will get you a good table." The man starts to guide her to one of the boot tables. "Can I ask the name of the person that recommended my great establishment?"
"His name is Roger… Roger Wayne. He said that he knows the owner of this place and does some business with him."
"Oh… I'm the owner of this place and sure that I know Mr. Rogers… Yes, I buy from him sometimes and he likes to come here a lot to drink and eat… so any friend of his is a friend of mine…" said the man before they arrived at the tables.
Ellie looks around at the people doing their things, that is mostly drinking and talking. Soon he takes her to a corner booth table, she looks back at him. "You know… I don't expect to come to a place like this on my first night here, but I can tell you that this place looks great and fun," said Ellie while sitting down.
"You don't need to worry about anything here… senorita. Le daremos el mejor servicio que tenemos… So you would like to come back again." said the man while grabbing a menu from a closer table and giving it to her. "The local food here is great, so I recommend you try one of them. But if you want something American I can ask our chef… to prepare it for you."
"That is very kind of you… thanks," she said while looking at the menu.
"Quieres algo de beber… do you want a drink first?" he asked her.
"Hmmm… do you… hacen… Daiquiri aqui?" she said, trying a little Spanish.
"Ohhh… a little spanish… Yes, we do… enseguida se lo traigo…" the man turned around and walked toward the bar and started talking with the man there. A few minutes later the man walks back to the table with Ellie's drink. "Here…" he put the drink on top of the table in front of Ellie. "I hope you enjoy it… and let me know when you're ready to order… okay?"
"I thought you said that you're the owner?" Ellie asked while grabbing the drink and taking a sip.
"Yes… yo soy el dueño de este fantástico lugar." he answered her with pride. "I mean, yes I'm the owner of this place.
"Oh… I never see a place where the owner serves the people that come in."
"I told you… I like to treat myself to all people that came with good recommendations from a good client."
"Okay… in that case I will try the full fish plate with a green salad and the local salsa." she said while handing back to him the menu."
"Enseguida… señorita," he said with a smile, before turning around and walking away.
One hour later Ellie was eating her dinner when a young man sitting at a table across the place noticed her. "Hey!... Isn't that the girl from the port?" said the man that was sitting with his friends while pointing at her.
The others turn their heads and look at her. "You mean the one that wants to surf?" said another, after finishing his beer.
"The one that blows you off?" said another with a laugh.
"Yeah, that bitch… I think that I also saw her on the beach early today… talking with a group of surfers…" he said with a mad expression.
"Man… what are we going to do?… I don't want any girls surfing here… this is our beach…" said one of his friends while looking at the others.
"Yeah… if that bitch starts to surf her… we're going to have a lot of girls coming here too and take our beach for themself…"
Two of them start to laugh. "Oh… man, you're only pissed because that babe turned you down…" said one of the two while drinking his beer.
"Yeah… Let's just finish another round… and go before your uncle Marlon notices that we're not back in the hotel... yet," said another while looking for the waitress.
The young man just looks at Ellie again before he finishes his beer. Then after a few minutes, he stood up from his chair and started walking in her direction.
"Hey!... what are you doing?" asked the older one of them.
"Putting that bitch in her place…" he said while walking toward her table. The young man grabbed two beers from a waitress's tray that was walking closer to him and continued walking.
"Hey!... eso no era para ti…" yell the waitress while looking at him.
"Just put them on my fucking bill…" he said without looking at her.
Ellie was almost finished with her dinner when the man got close to her table, sat in front of her, and put the two beers on the table. "Hey… babe… remember me?" he said while pushing one of the beers toward her. "I think we have a bad start… so maybe this will change that."
The waitress looks at the table, and the young man just goes and sits at it and knows that something is going to happen. So she looked for the other waitress that was finishing serving a table close by and walked toward her. "Hey, Betsy… Busca a Joel… Haora!" she said as soon as she got close to her.
The other waitress looked at her and then at the table, she was looking at. "Mierda… Ok!" she said before running toward the kitchen.
Ellie looked at the young man in front of her and remembered who it was. So slowly she pushes the beer away from her. "I don't remember inviting you to sit…" she said calmly.
The man pushes the beer toward her again. "I know… but I thought that if we have a few drinks that could change," he said with a smile.
Again, Ellie pushes the beer toward him while looking at his face. "I'm not interested… So, if you don't mind, I want to finish my dinner alone…"
"Fuck!… You're really something. I'm trying to be nice but you have to ruin it… right?" he said while grabbing his beer and drinking it all. "Why do you have to make things hard, why not start again? My name is Gary… so what is yours?" he said while extending one hand toward her.
Ellie looks at it but doesn't move hers. "I think that you should go back with your friends over there… Because I do not want to know someone that thinks that men are better than women. I think that that time passed a long time ago." Ellie pushes the beer back to him. I don't like that, so why do you not grab your beer and get off my table before I call the owner."
The young man was getting really pissed now, so he grabbed the beer and looked at her face. "You really think that you're better than anyone… right?" he said with a mad tone. "So let me tell you something… I don't need to get any crap from you … I can have any woman I wanted and I was just trying to give you the chance to be with-" he stopped when he saw someone stopping beside the table.
"Is something wrong here?" said Joel interrupting the young man.
He quickly turned his head and looked at him. "Nothing is wrong here… The lady and I were just having a nice conversation, so if you don't mind… gramps… get out of here before things get nasty for you," he said with an arrogant tone.
Joel looks at the young man and almost laughs at his comment. "Sorry miss… but is this man bothering you?" he said while ignoring the young man and looking toward Ellie.
Ellie looked at the man that was standing now beside her table. She stared speechless while looking at him for a minute. She wanted to say something, but she didn't know why she couldn't say anything. Ellie doesn't know what was wrong with her, it is not like she doesn't see a man like him before. The man was not only handsome but there was also something about him that she couldn't understand.
"Hey! Who the fuck are you… her dad? You don't see that I'm talking-" he stops when Joel turns his head and looks at him.
"I was not talking to you… so shut up," said Joel while pointing a finger at the young man's face. Then he turns his head around and looks at Ellie again. "As I said before… is this man is-" he did not even finish when he saw the young man stand up.
"Fuck you… old man… you can't talk to me like that. I'm a client here… so I can talk to the manager and get you fired if you don't give me a good apology and get out of my face," he said with a firm voice.
Joel turns to face the young man. "Did you really say that to me you fucking punk?"
"What did you say to me? I'm really going to kick your ass old man…" he threw a punch toward Joel, but he grabbed his fist with his right hand and stopped him before he hit him.
"Okay… you little shit… I think it is time for you to go." said Joel while twisting the man's arm and moving it behind him.
"Ahhh Moving Hhhh! You motherfuck!... that hurt," screamed the man as soon Joel pressed his arm hard and tried to move him away from the table. The young man tries to get away from Joel, but he can't as Joel just presses his arm painfully.
"Now… are you going to calm down? This is a decent place and we don't like people like you disturbing our customers," said Joel before starting to move again.
"Fuck you! And fuck this place… I'm going to make you-Aahhhhh!" he screams again when Joel moves his arm up.
"We don't like that kind of language here either." Joel started to get the man out, but then he saw three more men walking toward him.
"Hey… this is not a way to treat a customer… old man," said one of them as soon as they got closer.
"Yeah… let our friend go… you can't hurt him like that,!" said another one.
"I was just going to show your friend the exit… we don't like people to come here and bother other customers, so maybe it is time to go for all of you," said Joel while looking at them.
Matt hears all the commotion from his office and walks out with another young man. "¿Qué es lo que pasa aquí?" he asked as soon as he noticed the murmur of people and where they were looking. After he saw what was going on, he walked toward Joel and the young men in front of him. "Ok… ¿Qué es lo que está pasando aquí?"
The three men turn around and look at the two men behind them and all the local people there, looking at them with a mad expressions. "Nothing happens here… we're just living…" said the older one that just came from paying the bill.
"Great… so if pay you bill, you can go now… no queremos problemas aquí con nadie y ustedes tampoco."
"Fine… let's go guys…" he said while looking at Joel. "You can let him go now… old man."
"Yeah… don't forget to take your friend… with you," said Joel while letting go of the man's arm and pushing him forward. The young man gives him a mad look, before starting to walk toward the exit with his friends and rubbing his wrist. "This is not over… old man," he said before walking out of the place.
After they walked out of the place the owner turned around and looked toward the people that were playing the music. "Ok muchachos que siga la música." then he turned to look at Joel. "Okay… qué rayos fue todo eso?" Matt asked while looking at Joel's face.
"They were a bunch of drunk kids… but one of them was bothering her," he said while turning his head and looking at Ellie. "Solo hice mi trabajo…"
"Esta Bien… Joel. Yo, me encargo del resto… just go back to the kitchen." he said while watching Joel walk back to the kitchen. After Joel is gone and things go back to normal he turns around and looks at Ellie. "Sorry for the inconvenience… miss. Solo son turistas bebiendo de más… normally this is a great and normal place."
Ellie was looking behind the bar counter where Joel disappeared a few minutes ago. "Who was that guy?" she asked while still looking in that direction.
He turned his head at the way she was looking. "You mean… the cook?" he asked.
Ellie turns her head and looks at the owner. "He was the cook?"
"Well, he is sometimes, but also is the bouncer here… he is the person that makes sure people behave in here and takes them out if he needs to… is not like it happens every day… is, just…" he said with a nervous tone.
"Is it okay… I see a lot of this in bars back in the USA…" she said while looking back in the bar direction.
"Look… I'm so sorry for the disturbance… dinner and drinks are from the house… okay."
"It's okay… I already finished my dinner before all this… so give my thanks to the chef for the delicious food and help," she said while taking out her purse and taking out some money. "How much are dinner and drinks?" she asked while looking back at the man.
"I will send the waitress with the bill… but really you don't have to pay… it's on the house."
