Spells and Louds.
Chapter 476: Failed Crypt scares.
We're gonna see what Lincoln, Linka and Jodan did when they hanged out with Ronnie Anne and her friends at the Great Lakes City Cemetery. Based off the episode "Fails from the Crypt."
(Nighttime, Great Lakes City Cemetery.)
The place is dark and creepy and the following kids are all ready and have what they need for this night.
Lincoln and Linka with the help of Jordan setup the large tent, the tent is large enough for all of them and has all their sleeping bags and the things they all need for the night to go on and try to keep them occupied as they try to survive.
Ronnie Anne checks her bag and she grabs her flashlight. "You guys ready for this spooky night? Mwahahaha!" They all laugh at her silly play at being spooky.
"Nice try Ronalda, but Lucy is the one knows how to make it spooky" replied Lincoln.
"The Archlich also knows how to make it spooky too" replied Linka, she then pets her Arcanine.
"Well, since with that being done and the tent we brought all done, does everyone else have what they brought?" asked Jordan. She then pets Dominic who looks around the place.
"I brought with me my dad's night vision goggles" replied Sameer as he puts them on. "With these babies, I can be able to see through the dark like a bat."
"Actually bats don't see at night, they use echolocation to find they're food and the path" replied Sid. "But, Golbat, Crobat and other bat-like Pokémon do see at night, but still use echolocation."
"I brought with me some extra underwear, just in case things might get a bit too spooky" replied Casey.
"And I brought with me my spell book to keep evil spirits and monsters away" said Nikki. She has a wand and a book. "Man I love magic and role play stuff."
Linka looks to the book and she chuckles a bit. "You might wanna take a look at that so-called Spell book again Nikki."
Nikki is confused and she looks to her book and reads it. "Dang it! I got my mom's cook book, which means my mom must have my spell book. Well, I hope they like stewed rats for dinner." the very thought of that was enough to make them feel like throwing up.
"Well, I did bring my telescope from the sleep over we had last month, and I even brought my security blanket" replied Laird as he holds a pink blanket. "With this baby, I am fearless!" Then something hoots and he cowers in fear. "What was that?"
Sid then has an owl and a Hoot-Hoot onto her shoulders. "Guys, meet Gale and Sir Hoots. My mom is taking care of Gale and said she can come with us to guard the whole night and Sir Hoots here is from Mr. Scully, since he's off on vacation, he wants me to keep an eye on his Pokémon."
"Nice, we have our own Pokémon to help keep us company, but I guess one more is cool" replied Jordan. The two owls then look around. Gale spins her head 360 degrees and Sir Hoot's spins on his single foot at the same 360 degrees and they both hoot.
"When they make one hoot, it means the coast is clear. No werewolves, no vampires and no monsters" replied Sid.
"Then what does two hoots means?" asked Laird.
Sid and the two owl's look to all of them as the lightning flashes and the thunder roars in the background. "Run."
They're all kinda shocked at what just happened. "Okay, where the heck did that lightning and thunder come from?" asked Lincoln. "Last time we checked, there's not supposed to be a storm today."
"Oh, that's no storm. That would be those guys." Ronnie Points to some electricians with some Electivire, Ampharos and Manectric trying to fix one of the damaged electric posts and it is sparking up. "There's a slight power out at a neighborhood nearby, but the power will be up and running soon."
Then they finish and clean up. "Or they're done" replied Casey. They all continue to setup everything and then Lincoln pulls out something.
"In case we do get bored, I brought my laptop so we can watch some videos or play some video games, and I even brought with me my acoustic guitar just in case we need something musical for entertainment."
"I brought us more snacks and just to be safe, a first aid kit and some other essentials should things go wrong" replied Linka.
"Got with me some devices that could help track down anything that might be coming" replied Jordan. "Linka, Lincoln and I have our hero masks to scan the areas for any threats, but these things you guys can use." Jordan hands them the scanner devices.
"Whoa! This looks so cool, kinda like ghost busters" said Nikki.
"At least we can be safe with these" replied Laird.
"But why bring these with you guys though? I have my dad's night vision goggles" asked Sameer.
Linka sighs. "Guys, the last thing we want is the same mistake that happened last time." She then looks to Sid. The Asian girl looks down and then to her arm that has some scars. "We are not making another mistake should something come and attack us." They all agree to this.
"I think that's understandable" replied Casey. "We don't want to face the same thing last time."
"And just to be safe." Lincoln has a large case and he opens it. They're shocked to see what it was. "One for each of us, but since Laird can be a bit, clumsy I didn't have one for you. Sorry Laird."
"No problem, I know I can't handle a weapon. Also, what the heck are those things?" asked Laird.
The weapons look like that from protoss psi blades, but they don't have blades. They can fire a proton blast that knocks back, stuns and incapacitates its target. So it's kinda like a very big taser.
"Whoa! These are so cool!" said Nikki as she points it around and it has a laser guiding system for the photon stun missiles.
"Guys, be careful with them. They're not toys" replied Jordan. "We had to pull some strings to get these weapons, these are for emergencies only and not to show off or something reckless."
They all understand and nod. "We're not gonna mess with these and thanks for bringing them, the one thing we don't want is for one of us to get hurt" said Ronnie Anne.
Sid then grabs one and she puts it on her right arm and she checks how it works and she manages to put its setting to night time tracking and heat sensor. They're all shocked at what she just did. "How the heck did you know how to use that?" asked Lincoln.
Sid looks to the weapon. "No clue, just felt like it. I kinda had this dream where I used one of these and blasted off that…. That rabbit robot and I was okay." Sid then looks down with some sadness. "Sorry guys, after that whole sleepover we had, I have been having nightmares and when I do wake up scared I would either go to Adelaide or to Ronnie Anne for comfort."
Linka goes to her and she places her hand on her shoulder. "Hey now, don't be upset. We understand and right now we're all in this together and we have your back. Last time, that rabbit monster got the drop on us, but not this time and I don't think there will be any threat coming to get us or you."
Sid smiles and she hugs Linka. "Thanks, I needed that."
Linka chuckles and she hugs her back. "Anytime Sid Chang." She then feels like Sid's hug was feeling like something else. "Alright Sid, let me go now."
They depart from the hug and Sid chuckles and blushes. "Sorry about that, when it comes to hugs from people I know who are either pretty or cute, I get kinda excited."
Ronnie Anne chuckles. "Yeah, I've had that experience and we're not ready for that yet Sid, not ready unless we're 16."
Sid smirks. "Sorry, like I said I get excited when hugging or interacting with someone cute, handsome or beautiful."
Lincoln chuckles. "Well, so glad it was not me." He then checks his watch. "We're past 7:30, I think we should speed this up so we can see how long we can all last tonight."
They all nod and get to setting everything up. Jordan even sets up some Sunburst drones around the cemetery, and she checks each one with her tablet and smiles. 'Drones secure and scanners are active and strong, nothing around, yet.'
But they do see some Pokémon going around the park. Luckily, Sid has some stuff that her mom gave her to counter when Ghost-Type Pokémon try to threaten or harm them.
Lincoln and Linka then look to their pocket-sized medallions. They know that when trouble does spark, then the medallions will glow and will send a magical signal towards Leni and Luna and they will come and bring down the heavy support.
Lincoln sighs. 'Let's hope we don't face anything dangerous, otherwise it's gonna be a fight tonight.'
(Later in the night.)
It's now past nine, from a tree branch near the tent is Gale and Sir Hoots who check their surroundings and hoot and the kids are occupying themselves along with their Pokémon.
Lincoln and Linka are both playing some Star Wars Battlefront 2 Split screen arcade mode.
Jordan and Nikki are reading a book on the Creepypasta's known and unknown. Gyro let Jordan keep the book, just in case Slenderman is not the only one out there they might encounter.
Sameer is checking on his phone for anything new and Casey and Laird are having a thumb wrestling.
Most of the Pokémon are just napping: mostly Absol, Arcanine and Dodrio. Kabutops on the other hand is watching as Ronnie Anne tosses some potato chips towards Sid from one side of the tent to the other.
"See guys, nothing spooky or scary or anything of the sort to even be dubbed a scare for all of us. We're all fine" said Ronnie Anne.
"Yeah, and you know what, I don't even need this." Laird tosses aside his security blanket, but then a tree branch pokes the tent and he screams and hides in his security blanket and this makes Sid, Nikki and Jordan laugh a bit.
"Come on Laird, it's just the wind, nothing to be scared about" said Ronnie Anne as she eats some chips.
"Glad we did come here, wish the others did but they all have plans today" replied Jordan. "Also, Ronnie Anne has a point. There is literally nothing scary here or even anything trying to get us."
"Yeah, we've seen scarier things at the local undead cemetery in Northrend and they have a monster made of corpses" replied Linka.
"Oh, do you guys have a picture on what it looks like?" asked Nikki. Linka grabs her phone and they all gather to see what the undead abomination looks like.
Sid then looks to her scars. "Man, this sure is still gonna give me lots of scars to recall and look back on."
Lincoln, Jordan and Ronnie Anne go to her. "Take it easy there Sid, I know it hurts inside, but the whole nightmare is gone and there's no way that animatronic would even come back" said Ronnie Anne.
"She's got a point, from what the Guardian had told us, the animatronics who were once kids have dealt with Springtrap at Fazbear's fright in they're world. So there is no way in hell he can come back and get us, or you. Also, the place burned down" replied Lincoln.
Ronnie Anne and Sid are shocked to know about this. "I feel kinda bad for those animatronics who tried to help us, sure wish they were freed from their nightmare" replied Sid as she looks down in guilt.
"Don't be that way girl, they did what they had to. Sure they were victims of his murderous intents, but at least now their deaths are avenged by their own hands and no other kid will go through what they did" said Jordan. "They'd rather be burnt alive than continue with the life they have trapped inside animatronic suits."
Just then they hear something. "Woooooooh! You should all leave this place at once!"
They all freak out a bit. "Was that the wind?" asked Laird. "Because if so, then I don't recall the wind sounding like that!"
Ronnie Anne, Sid, Lincoln, Linka and Jordan look around. "Something's wrong guys, something's out there" said Linka.
Sid then calls out. "Gale! Sir Hoots! What's happening out there?" They then hear one hoot from the owls. "Okay, looks like there's no trouble, but that sound could've been far and might be coming."
Absol wakes up and looks around. "We're not alone in the cemetery and I doubt it's any kind of ghost-type Pokémon lurking in the darkness. They would've scared us in here by now, not mimic a voice and freak people out. They'd do that when they go into a mansion sure, but not much into cemeteries, they'd rather not disrespect the dead."
Arcanine also looks around and so does Dodrio who walks out of the tent alongside Kabutops.
"Then what the heck is happening?" asked Lincoln.
They hear the sound again. "I think we should all check it out, now!" Linka grabs her weapon and so do the others. They all were feeling kinda skittish, but seeing Ronnie Anne and Sid arming up was making them kinda brave.
"Can I stay here in the tent?" asked Laird as he's cowering in his security blanket.
"Sure man, Dodrio and Kabutops can keep you company and so can Gale and Sir Hoots" said Sid.
Sameer then puts on his night vision goggles. "Alright guys, let's go and bust us something weird and paranormal!" They all have their weapons locked and loaded.
"Let's rock!" said Jordan. They all leave the tent and walk around the cemetery and look to their surroundings. It was suddenly getting foggy around them. "Alright, so we don't recall anything in the news about a fog coming in."
"Eyes up people, we don't know what's out here or what it wants, but if it may seem other worldly, then we get the rest of our allies and they will come" replied Lincoln. They set up their scanner masks and scan the area for anything and then Jordan sees something.
"We got something behind some bushes. Five clicks from our position by that lit grave." She then realizes. "Hang on, a lit grave?" They all see that the nearby tombstone has lit candles and a skeleton leaning next to it.
"Are skeletons supposed to be above ground and, well I don't know, look kinda clean?" asked Casey.
They then see the skeleton get up and walk towards them. "Well, unless this from the Scourge, they're not supposed to be walking!" Linka begins to blast at it and so does Nikki.
Each part of the walking skeleton is being shot off and it hits a tree and squawks, then a zombie and a giant spider arrives. "What the heck is this?!" said Sid. She then starts blasting at the zombie who is then knocked away, they're not using any lethal rounds, and they're all using stun ammo.
"Ow! My arthritis."
They stop blasting and look to the spider going to the zombie. "Are you alright mi amor?"
"Wait a minute, I know that voice" said Ronnie Anne.
"And I know who else is here too!" Jordan then taps on her tablet and the Burst Drones deploy a net and they catch Vito hiding from the bushes with a fog machine. "Ha! I knew the wind sounded so familiar!"
"Huh, well thanks for recognizing my singing voice" replied Vito. "Also, can you let me down?"
Ronnie Anne goes to the skull and she pulls out Sergio. "Sergio, what the heck are you doing here?!"
"Umm, Abuela can explain for you?" replied the parrot, he tries to fly for it, but then he gets pinned down by Arcanine. "Hey! Get off of me."
Then the spider reveals to be Rosa. "Hehe, hello children."
They all have their arms crossed and look to them sternly. "Explain this Rosa, now!" said Lincoln.
"We're so sorry children, we wanted to scare you off so we can hold our record for being the ones who lasted longer here in the cemetery" replied Rosa.
"You see, we were the fearless four. Along with Vito and Sergio, we stayed the longest in one day and did feel some fear, but held our own and we may also be the ones who scared Maria and Carlos back then when they tried to do this alongside Arturo and Frida" replied Hector.
"We just didn't wanna lose what we all had gained back then" replied Vito. "But I guess we should've just accepted it and let the new generation try and give it a shot."
They then bring Vito down from the net and they go towards Rosa, Hector and Arcanine lets go of Sergio. "Rawrk. Back then, we made headlines with what we did, though that word faded fast after two weeks."
"I guess we can let this slide, after all you guys did make the night a bit exciting by having us come out and feel like Call of Duty on the place and be lucky the blasts are set to stun, so you didn't feel any arthritis" said Lincoln. "What you felt, was just the stun effect."
"Oh, well that's a relief. Well, we should go now and leave you kids be" replied Hector.
Just then tons of dropships and Zerg forces arrive and they surround the place. "Luna told us something was wrong! So we're here now!" yelled Neil from the dropship. Leon and Sergei arrive in their Tiger Tank and then Luna Frost lands down from the back of her Frost Wyrm.
Lincoln sighs. "Well, looks like this night got a whole lot more exciting, I think."
They then hear Laird call out. "Guys, is it safe to come out now?"
Yeah, they have a lot to explain and clean everything that has been called in.
