Blaise walked Megan to the door of her flat. He was really enjoying their time together. "So, I had a nice time tonight." He smiled down at her as she tucked a lock of hair behind her ear.
The slight blush on her cheeks was adorable. "Me too. Did, um, did you want to come in for a cuppa?" Blaise nodded then Megan unlocked her door. Closing of behind him, Blaise then removed his jacket before hanging it on the coatrack next to her door.
He had not been inside her place yet. It was bigger than he thought it would be. A dark blue leather sectional with an oversized ottoman was directly in the middle of the large open space. She had a nice collection of books on either side of her fireplace too.
Blaise walked towards the kitchen area and sat on a stool at the island and watched Megan get the tea made up. She turned and smiled at him before steeping the tea. He smiled and felt a warm sensation in his chest. He didn't think he would. Thought she'd be a fun distraction while he got over his feelings for Luna. But, somehow, she had become someone he respected and really enjoyed talking with and being around.
"Sugar?" He heard her ask and shake him from his thoughts. He nodded and she brought the sugar over with her then set their cups down and sat across from him.
"Ugh, back to work tomorrow." She pouted then smiled and took a sip from her cup, sighing.
"Yes, but just think, you'll be joining me for the wedding Saturday. And maybe dinner one night this week? I'll cook for you. Please?" He fluttered his eyelashes at her making her giggle. "Is that a yes?"
"You're too cute, you know that?" Blaise got up and walked to her side. She looked up at home through her lashes.
"And you," he caressed her cheek with the back of his hand, "are beautiful." He leaned down and pressed a featherlight kiss to her mouth, hovering there before she leaned in closer so she could capture his lips with hers.
She instantly felt the pull to be closer to him; he must've felt it too because before she knew it, Blaise had lifted her up into his arms. Megan gasped as she felt his hands grasp her ass; surprising herself as she wrapped her legs around his waist. "I want you," Blaise dipped his head to suck her nipple through her clothes, "fucking hell, Megs, I want you so bad."
It was too soon. They'd only been dating for a couple weeks, but sweet Morgana, she wanted him too. "Bedroom." She ground her hips against his, feeling him getting hard, "Down the hall to the right." He growled as he turned them towards the direction they needed to go. Once they reached her bedroom though, she heard her Floo go off.
"Healer Jones!?!? Healer Jones, are you here?" Megan grunted in aggravation.
"Sorry, I have to get that." He placed her down and she lingered for a moment before the voice called out again. Blaise got comfortable in the bedroom while Megan handled the call from the hospital. After a few minutes, she came back looking sheepish. "Work, umm, one of my patients had a relapse. They needed my expertise." She shrugged.
"Do you need to go in?" It was then she noticed he had undressed down to his boxers. Her cheeks turned red and she looked away,
"N-no, just a quick consult. Did you want to, I mean, should we continue?" Blaise walked until he stood directly in front of her. Tilting her chin up so he could look into her ocean eyes, he kissed her softly.
"I would very much like to continue, my sweet." Megan unbuttoned her blouse, revealing a black lace bra. He helped her by unbuttoning her jeans and slowly pulled them off, taking her hand as she stepped out of them. They stood there, holding onto each other before making their way to the bed. "You're sure?" He asked to be certain.
"Never been more sure of anything in my life." She answered before pulling him on top of her. They snogged for a bit then he slowly began kissing his way down her body. Megan had never had a guy go down on her before, most men were selfish like that, so she told Blaise.
"Clearly, you've been with the wrong wizards." He replied with a devilish smile before disappearing between her thighs.
Draco laughed as he watched his son try to mount his toy broom on his own. He'd refused help, said he wasn't a baby and could do it himself! "Stop waffin at me daddy. Mummy will be mad when I tell her." Draco hid his smile behind his hand. He loved hearing his son call Hermione his mummy.
"Sorry bud. Don't tell mummy. Daddy will stop. You sure you don't need my help?" He watched as his son almost got his leg over the hovering broom then losing his footing and falling again.
"Malfoy's don't get help. We do it our self." He said stomping his foot. 'Oh Salazar's left nut, where does he get this shit from?' He thought to himself. Finally, Scorpius succeeded. "See! Wook daddy! Wook!" Draco couldn't help but smile.
He felt the wards shift just then and knew who it was. He waited until he heard the back door open the close. Turning he saw his best mate walking over looking like a grinning idiot. "What's got you looking so chipper, Blaise. It's making me uneasy!" He chuckled as Blaise knocked his shoulder.
"Shut it, you can't mess up my mood you prat." Blaise bellowed "Hellooooo!" to Scorpius before turning to Draco. "I think I'm falling in love." He stated.
"Again?" Draco laughed. Blaise pushed him.
"Fucker. Yes, but this feels different than Luna. I didn't want to leave her flat. I wanted to fucking cuddle, and you know I hate that."
Draco smiled, "She feels like home."
Blaise met his friend's eyes, "YES! Is that what it feels like for you and Granger?" Draco nodded then watched his son fly past them again. "Shit! I cannot fuck this up with Megan. She's bloody perfect. A proper healer, great conversationalist, gorgeous, sweet, funny, and the sex; it was otherworldly. Just mind blowing!"
Draco grinned, shaking his head, "That's great, Blaise, but let's keep the sex talk to a minimum." He nodded towards Scorpius.
"Right, sorry mate." He waved to Scorpius as he successfully landed his toy broom. "Ready for the final fittings? Damn, cannot believe that in five days you'll be a married man." Draco couldn't wait. He'd loved Hermione Granger for what felt like forever, and now he'd love her for the rest of his life.
"Terence? You ready to go?" Susan yelled out from the hallway. She'd finally had a morning without morning sickness. It was Saturday, April 20th and they were getting ready to head to the wedding of Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger. The dress she wore hid the tiny baby bump that showed up out of nowhere last week.
"Sorry, babe, I couldn't find my Slytherin cuff links. Gotta show my house colours, ya know." He smirked at his girlfriend. "Suze, you look beautiful." He dipped down to kiss her quickly. "The car should be outside. I don't want you to apparate in your condition." Just like that, they heard a beep.
The "car" was a sleek black limousine. The driver opened the door and Susan squealed as she saw Megan and Blaise already sat inside. Susan had only seen them together a couple times, but she remembered Blaise from school and always thought he was one of the nicer Slytherin in her year.
"Hey," she turned to see Terence smirk, "you sweet, sweet man." He helped her into the waiting car and she showed him how to work the seatbelt with a giggle.
"We've got champagne here. Higgs?" Blaise handed him a glass, "Susan?" She shook her head.
"No thanks, Blaise." He looked at her oddly then shrugged topping off Megan's glass then his own.
The limo pulled up to the townhome of Draco and Hermione. They had the whole backyard warded and extended to accommodate the wedding guests. There were purple hydrangeas and white magnolias decorating the yard. Susan and Terence sat with Megan as Blaise kissed her quickly then disappeared into the house.
Moments later Theo Nott and Luna Lovegood arrived and said their hello's. "Susan, you're glowing." Luna commented, making Susan blush.
Theo told them about his taking a three month excursion with Luna next week. "The restaurant is in good hands though. I'll check in from time to time plus Draco will handle the financial aspects since he's my silent partner. Gotta be with my girl ya know?" Susan smiled warmly at them. They were truly a beautiful couple.
Terence whispered into Susan's ear, "Wish we could brag about our happy news." She looked at him and he pouted causing her to giggle. "They're going to figure it out when you're not drinking my dove." He kissed her nose then turned to listen to Megan's story about the patient cursed into a chicken from the other night.
Hermione was nervous. "Stop fidgeting, Hermione!" Ginny scolded her as she set her hair with charms. Hermione wasn't nervous about the wedding. No. She was nervous because she still hadn't told the witch in front of her that Harry was now dating Pansy Parkinson. "I don't know why you're so skittish, you know the day will be perfect. Malfoy will see sure to that. It's weird seeing him so fucking happy and that kid of his is friggin adorable."
Well, no time like the present. "I'm not, well, it's not the wedding. Gin, I don't know how to tell you, but Harry is seeing someone." Ginny looked confused at first then she huffed out a laugh.
"Funny." Hermione took her hand and Ginny's eyes went wide. "Who? How long? He never said anything in his last letter. Granted it was three weeks ago but still.
"It's pretty new. Just about a week I think, but he's smitten." Hermione explained and it didn't escape Ginny's noticed that she still hadn't answered the "who" part of her question.
"Hermione, who?" Ginny watched her friend wince before muttering a name, the one name she never would have even guessed at. "No. I must've heard wrong because there's no fucking way that he is dating that tart!" Ginny paced, trying to calm herself. Hermione watched.
"I just needed you to know before we went out there. Please don't make a scene." She implored. Ginny stopped pacing and looked at her best friend.
Grabbing her hand, she slowly sat next to her on the settee in her dressing room. "Sorry, it's just a lot to process. If I'd known he was looking to move on from our relationship, I wouldn't have kept him. I know we broke up ages ago, but we still love each other, loved each other." Hermione hugged her gently. "Today is NOT about me and Harry. You're marrying the Ferret," Hermione pinched her arm, "Ow! Sorry, force of habit. This is so surreal. Who would have ever thought you'd fall in love with a Slytherin."
Blaise fixed Draco's tie for the nth time in an hour. "You know, we have wands..." he said and Draco scowled.
"And it looks better when done by hand. Scorp, buddy, please don't sit on the floor. You're going to get messy. You want to look good for mummy, don't you?" Scorpius nodded then got up from the kneeling position he was currently in on the floor of the living room.
"Dragon, it's time to get under the arbor." Narcissa Malfoy came in looking lovely as ever. She took Scorp's hand and walked him out with her. Turning around, she met her son's eyes and smiled. "Wait until you see her, love." Then continued walking, sitting in the front row with Scorpius on her knee.
"When you hear the music start, you will join daddy and Blaise up there, okay?" She whispered in her grandson's ear. After Draco greeted the guests, he took his spot under the arbor. Their garden had never looked better. The purple and white flowers mingled in with twinkling lights made it look like a woodland fairyland.
The instrumental music of Hermione's favourite song began. She said it reminded her of her mum. The song was called, Smile by Charlie Chaplin. She now sung it to Scorp at night after their story time was over, just as her mother did when she was a child.
The French doors leading to the garden opened wide and Ginny Weasley walked out with a bundle of wildflowers. She smiled as she walked to stand across from Draco and Blaise. "Get ready, Malfoy." She said teasingly with a devilish smile.
He wasn't ready for the vision that appeared. Hermione was always beautiful to him, but the way she looked at that moment. There were no words to describe it. Her hair was down but half was braided back and baby's breath adorned the braids. The dress, oh the dress! A pure white, floral lace gown with a deep V neck that flowed as is made of water, the small train following her was trimmed with emerald green silk, a nod to her beloved's house. She wore a dark wine coloured lip and gold eyelids. She met his eyes with a bright smile and didn't look away until she was in front of him.
"Mummy's a princess daddy!" Exclaimed Scorpius to riotous laughter.
"Our princess, bud." He smiled down at his son who reached for both parent's hands. They stood there, in front of the ministry official, each having one hand in their child's, the other hand clasped in each other's.
Once the official proclaimed why they were all gathered, adding in the official clause for Hermione adopting Scorpius, they read their own vows to each other. My
"Draco, the day you waltz into my book shop was the luckiest day of my life. I didn't know I'd not only find you but a son as well. Thank you for loving me and trusting me with not only your heart but Scorp's as well. We met twice in our lives; the first time as children did not go so well, but that second time? Merlin, I didn't even realise how far I'd fallen before there was no turning back. I love you, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds." Draco squeezed her hand and grinned widely at her before mouthing. 'My turn.'
"Granger, when I got punched by you in third year for being an arse," he looked down at their child, "Don't repeat that word bud." Their guests chuckled. "It was like you finally knocked some sense into me. Sure I was miffed at first, but after Madam Pomfrey reset my nose and sent me on my way, I couldn't stop thinking about you. The fire in your eyes, the flush of your cheek; it was then I started changing my views."
Hermione smiled, tears in her eyes, "Then I knew I was a goner the night of the Yule Ball fourth year. Stunning. Yes, but on the arm of another wizard that i envied. Not because he was a world famous Quidditch star and Tri-Wizard champion, but because he had you and I couldn't. My date was annoyed at me," he turned his head slightly catching his friend's eye, "Sorry Pans, but I didn't care. I was beyond happy when years later we met again."
Draco breathed in deeply and sighed, "I never told you this but the only reason I even went to Bibliophile that day was because my mother insisted. I was going to avoid seeing you and go to Flourish and Blott's instead, but she insisted. She'd known, you see, that I'd been enamoured with you for so long. I'm so glad I decided not to be stubborn. I flirted openly with you but you seemed oblivious. It wasn't until that first night at dinner that we finally figured out that this spark between us was worth setting the world on fire. The way you took my child into your loving embrace and instantly loved him as your own, damn, I don't know how to repay you other than being the best Damn husband to you and a father worthy of our son and any others we may be blessed by Morgana with. Hermione, my love, I'll forever cherish and love you, until my last breath."
There wasn't a dry eye in the garden, even the ministry official was crying. He cleared his throat before reading the bond. "Now that the marriage vows and bonding are complete, please sign the official adoption paperwork Mrs. Malfoy. By signing here, you, Hermione Jean Malfoy, will be known and hereby be magically linked to one Scorpius Lucius Malfoy as his mother. Let the familial bond be cast." With intricate wand movements, a silver thread was cast linking Draco and Hermione to Scorpius. When the bond settled in, a warm sensation filled their hearts.
"That concludes our ceremony. Please join me in congratulating the new Lord and Lady Malfoy and their son on this joyous day!" Everyone stood up and cheered them as they walked hand in hand, with Scorpius on Draco's hip.
"So, we're a real famwee now?" Scorpius asked with a yawn.
Yes, Scorp." Draco leaned down and kissed Hermione. "Forever."
A/N: Married.
