The rest of the crowd were in amazement as the two Servants clashed. The white-haired servant fought with the accuracy of a machine, and Archer while not as skilled at close range he can still match the other servant blow to blow. And despite them all having witnessed Archer's power, they were in shock that this servant was fighting him on near equal ground.

However, Saber was experienced enough in combat that even she could see that while the mysterious Servant had skill, Archer had power. Now Saber could understand the servant stance; it was deliberately taking advantage of his Noble Phantasm, a reality marble, ability to duplicate Archer swords.

Even so...her eyes narrowed at the white-haired servant, Archer did not lack experience in close quarters either, and he was gaining ground against the white-haired servant as surely as he was losing it, but then something happened, Archer suddenly lost his momentum and the white-haired servant using this opportunity for delivering the finishing blow.

Now that mysterious servant have killed Archer he looked at her, no, their direction. Nervous, Saber and the other Servant prepared themselves for battle, only for their adversary to snort and smirk at them, before a blaze of fire caught them off guard.

When the fires gone the land filled with swords is gone and replaced with numerous container back in the port, only then they noticed the other servant is gone as well.

"Lancer" A shout is coming from all direction, it's Lancer master.

"Returned to me, were leaving" Lancer Master ordered.

Lancer nodded before facing Saber "Tonight we must left our duel unfinished, but mark my word Saber, I will have your head." He said confidently before vanishing.

Saber just smirk in return "I'll be waiting Lancer"

After Lancer vanishing she heard Rider bellowing laugh.

"That was indeed spectacular show don't you think Saber, unfortunately its time for me to leave as well, it looks like my Master is about to faint from shock and exhaustion"

"Hey!!" Rider Master denied, before Rider took off.

Saber looking at Rider flying away, the night event fresh in her mind, until Irisveil called her to leave.

Kariya had kept to the shadows of the warehouse, content to listen to the havoc his Berserker was wrecking. All those Servants in one area, yes, the Servants was troublesome to deal with and the worms were irritating him as even more of his prana was drained away, but he could deal with it. Kariya was smiling as he listened to his Servant battle. Yes, if things continued like this, he'd be able to win this War in order to-

Kariya's eyes widened when he felt a strong tug from the connection with his Servant. Kariya gasped and let out a cry of pain as a large portion of his prana was ripped away from him, sending the Crest Worms inside him into a chaotic frenzy. The man coughed and hacked as he fell to his knees. He could feel Berserker's power building as more of his prana was sapped away.

"Is… is this…?!" Kariya gasped through the pain.

Kariya gasped and writhed as more and more prana was torn from his body to be used as energy for Berserker. The man coughed, worms falling from his mouth and dying on the ground when they weren't in the body that sustained them. Kariya collapsed as he clutched his heart.

It couldn't go on like this…! If any more of his prana was drained away he wouldn't last…!

But even so, Kariya still struggled. Holding in his heart a promise more important than all the pain the world could throw at him, Kariya crawled like an ugly worm.

"Sakura" is the last thing Kariya said before blacking out.

When Berserker returned, he was NOT surprised at the sight of his Master on the ground. The servant nudged Kariya's body with a thoughtfull expression on his face.

Berserker then noticed the blood stains on the dirt.

Berserker was really beginning to think that he might go a bit overboard when fighting Archer.

And those worms crawling around near his mouth were starting to disgust him out.

Rider and Waver steadily made their way back to their abode on the Gordius Wheel, both of them silent as they were thinking over the events of the docks and the shocking revelations that had been brought to light at the same time.

The night was crisp, but Rider was more occupied with the knowledge he had gained of his enemy's abilities. They were indeed strong foes, but he had a degree of strengths and weaknesses now. He wasn't known as the King of Conquerors for nothing you know. Lancer was a fast individual, as befitting his class; to wield dual spears was indeed such a craft that needed speed.

But such an advantage belied a disadvantage as well; if struck, Lancer would be fragile. If he were struck by a hammer, or a blunt object instead of slashed at by a blade then Lancer would not be able to withstand the blow very well, disorienting him enough so that Rider could win. He was confident in the Gordius Wheel's speed, which would likely allow him to out-speed Lancer, if possible.

Saber was fast and strong, and he had no doubt that Lancer had given them all a chance by crippling her. It was something of a sour note, that Rider would not fight Saber at her full strength but it was necessary for him to win. Her swordsmanship was exceptional, which was shown by her ability to match Lancer despite the range granted to the latter.

Her Noble Phantasm involved a sword, that much was for certain, but it was most likely known now. As King Arthur, Excalibur was clearly that invisible sword, and he was glad that there was a good chance he would not encounter it at all. Of course, Rider would have to prepare for the possibility he did indeed come against it.

They had reached the place that they were using as a shelter for the duration of the War, and Rider recalled watching the bonds grow between the boy and those kind old people. He felt a twinge of some irritation that they were hypnotized, and thus those bonds falsified, but it was necessary. Though Rider was prideful, even he knew that some things had to be done in order to win. It didn't mean he had to like it though. Not one bit.

Wordlessly, he opened the window to Waver's bedroom, and as he fitted his large form into it he took note of the disposition of the boy. He collapsed on the bed, looking worse for wear. Someone wanting him to die would do that to a person. But Waver was silent, though there were streams of tears falling on his face, and for not the first time he felt pity for the boy.

It had been his mistake that had led him to compete in the Grail War, but Rider had grown up with the belief that mistakes help people grow and better their previous selves. He himself was no exception, though he preferred not to think of those days when he had not been so wise as he was now.

Waver, meanwhile, was thinking of Kayneth's declaration that he would be the one to kill him.

"Oh, I'm so out of my league!" Waver moaned, clutching his head as he recalled his mistakes, starting with his damn war.

"God, why was I such an idiot to steal a relic from Kayneth el-Melloi Archibald? Everyone knew he had a temper, so why the hell did I do that?! The other Masters are just so muchbetterthan me-Tokiomi's probably a genius when it comes to magecraft-so what chance do I have to win? I should just give up."

Suddenly, Rider flicked him in the head again, causing yet another headache. Waver briefly rubbed the sore-spot before getting angry at Rider, who seemed indifferent.

"Hey! What was that for, Rider?"

"Don't pity yourself so much, boy!" Rider roared.

"Don't denounce your own virtues so much! You might think different, but not everything about you has caused you misery; you are better than you think!"

Waver blinked; this was the first genuine compliment that his Servant was giving him, so he was a little shocked at the out of the blueness of its delivery. Rider continued when he was certain that Waver was listening.

"If there's anything I've learned in my life, it is that while mistakes can become our greatest regrets, they can also be our greatest teachers! They teach us what not to do every time we make one, and because of our mistakes humanity can continue to grow better! In my honest opinion, boy, you are ten times the man that Melon lord was. Despite your cowardice, you decided to ride forth into battle with me. That shows your true courage!"

Waver was speechless at the true compliment his Servant had given him; it challenged the conceptions he had of his Servant's nature-he had thought him to be a brute, and a bully but the fact that he paid Waver such a compliment was welcomed; he had never really gained prestige or such during his Clock Tower days, so this was a nice break from the usual.

Waver smiled truly, before he gained a frown on his face as his Servant yawned and collapsed on the ground, apparently tired. What was Rider up to now? Waver's eyes widened in recognition; was he going to sleep now? Rider's next words proved him to be right.

"What are you gaping at me for, boy?" Rider asked, before turning on his side, closing his eyes and sekeing sleep. "I've tired myself out tonight, so be useful and don't wake me up."

Waver briefly debated the pros and cons of forcing Rider to stay in his astral state, before he realized it really didn't matter. Nothing short of a Command Seal would force his behemoth of a Servant to go into astral form and stop that drain on his reserves, but even Waver knew he'd end up a laughing stock if it came to light he wasted an absolute command on something trivial.

The protest died in his throat, before Waver grudgingly gave a good night and he himself turned off the light and fell asleep. The boy needed it, in Rider's opinion. Now, the King of Conquerors' mind turned towards that mysterious servant, and how he had bested Archer.

Rider grinned when he thought of how well the servant would do against the finest swordsmen and warriors in his army. That was truly a joyful thought. He frowned as he remembered the one true fact of the War in this stage of its infancy; it was clear that Archer was the strongest Servant, and yet the still nameless Servant have managed to kill him. Granted, all they could compare that to was Assassin who always turned out to be poor in close combat, but nevertheless Rider's thoughts were filled with this curious development.

That mysterious servant was surely the key to win this war, Rider was very much sure of that; his instincts agreed with him wholeheartedly. Perhaps it would bear some merit to seek an alliance with him. Rider made a mental note to talk to the white haired servant next they met, and he was indeed pleased as he thought of that possible alliance in the future.

Lancer was kneeling dutifully to the side of his Master, who is more calmed than usual as he looked at scenery by the window of the hotel, his fiancee Sola-Ui is looking at him as well.

Kayneth turned around and his gaze fell on his Servant who was bowing his head as he usually did. His useless Servant, who had failed to kill the Servant who had done this when he had had the chance to do so.

"Why did you not kill Saber, Lancer?" Kayneth demanded, even as Lancer bowed his head even more, increasing Kayneth disdain "You had ample opportunity to kill her, so why didn't you?"

"I was interrupted Master" Lancer answered dutifully, never meeting Kayneth's gaze. "I would have if that servant didn't interrupt my battle with Saber"

Kayneth snort in displeasure at Lancer's attitude. The Servant seemed to understand that his place was never questioning Kayneth, but despite that, the Archibald is surprisingly more calmed and levelheaded than usual, no doubt thanks to how the night had gone off the rails relatively quickly and in a spectacular fashion.

"Ah, yes, our mysterious servant." His irritation dissipated by remembering the servant that killed Archer. Which remind him of his...situation, they were in a war which all participant is using all they have to win, which means a surprise might happened at any moment. Kayneth did not forget that at first he also think Archer to be the most threatening Servant on this war, but now he is the second to be eliminated, if nothing else it's a proof that nothing is impossible on the battlefield, and perhaps a reminder that he needed to treat this war with a more...delicate approach, and yet for this reason Lancer mistake is even more damning to Kayneth.

"I suppose you are so awe struck by his existence that you forget about your duty then. You're far less useful than I originally thought, Lancer." Kayneth said his voice filled with sarcasm. Left to say that Kayneth himself is distracted by the servant battle, he actually forget to remind Lancer, but he will not admit this.

The words struck Lancer deep, and he knew his Master had a point; Saber had been gaping at Archer's battle, before arguing with his Master. He could have used Gae Buidhe to wound the two other Servants, but his sense of chivalry had stopped him from doing so.

"Honestly Kayneth, stop being so petulant and think of the bigger picture here." Sola-Ui said scathingly, bringing Kayneth to heel once more.

"Lancer managed to inflict a wound that cannot heal on Saber, so he can kill her at his leisure. We've also gained valuable intelligence about the abilities of the other Servants. But I have to say, I am surprised at that servant capabilities and noble Phantasm, a reality marble, and yet the way they function remind me a lot of Projection."

Projection, Kayneth mused, was a magecraft that materialized objects in accordance to the caster's imagination through expenditure of prana. One of its characteristics was that the created object faded out of existence slowly. But of course, that didn't matter. Projection was an incomplete and useless magecraft, used by novices to get them used to such magecraft.

"It doesn't matter, as this does not truly change anything, nor does it matter yet, undoubtedly they will fall soon enough in this war" Kayneth said derisively, before he turned on the television, ending this matter.

"Bring me Saber's head the next time you engage each other, Lancer" Kayneth said with a bored tone, though there was impatient underneath it.

"I will not tolerate you dragging my name through the dirt."

"Of course, Master. Your wish is my command." Lancer said dutifully, Kayneth said nothing, merely watching that electronic contraption. It was only then the report came on the television about children who were being kidnapped, and whose bodies later turned up so mutilated that some other measures of identifying them were needed.

Lancer and his Master had been aware of the killings, which had started the same night that the Servants had been summoned, since they began, but since Kayneth had made no comment on it except a grimace, Lancer had not seen fit to interrupt or offer his opinion.

"My God..." Sola-Ui whispered in horror, and Kayneth gave her a look that clearly showed his concern for the woman he loved. "This person is a monster. Who could even think to do such things?"

"To me, it appears that Caster may be involved." Kayneth was surprised for a moment, raising an eyebrow at Lancer speaking out of term. It was highly unusual.

"Only the darkest arts require the human sacrifices of children, and only a Caster could put the corpses on display in such a way" Lancer's eyes were focused on the broadcast now.

"And with this, we can conclude that the servant who killed Archer is not Caster, while he can use some magecraft the way he uses it is too crude to be a Caster" Kayneth concluded.

"A Berserker then" Lancer said nodding, keeping this information for later use.

"Are you not gonna do anything Kayneth?" asked Sola-ui, Kayneth snort.

"This doesn't matter at the moment; as long as the Holy Grail War is continued I don't care. Our top priority is Saber, we can take care of Caster after we kill her off."

Just as Kayneth finish speaking, the fire alarm went off without a warning, interrupting his train of thought.

"...What? What's happening?"

Sola mumbled confusedly, and at the same time, the telephone in the room began to ring. The call display shows that it's from the lobby.

Kayneth calmly lifted up the receiver to listen to the receptionist. When he finished, Kayneth's gaze once again regained the sharpness unique to the magi.

"It seems like there's a fire somewhere downstairs; the management is telling us to evacuate."

Kayneth said to Sola as he hung-up the phone.

"Although, the fire is not too severe, the places that had caught fire are very scattered. It looks like arson."

"Lancer, go to the floor below to deal with them. But don't disperse them too quickly."

At Kayneth's hidden intents within the words, Lancer only nodded: Out of all the seven Masters, there is only one person, who would be in such a rush to attack Kayneth-- that is the Master of Saber, whose Servant had been hit by the Gáe Buidhe. He must want to dispel this curse as soon as possible.

"Understood. Cut off the attackers' path of retreat, then chase them here, is that it?"

"Yes. Since we have visitors, then why not let them take a good look at Kayneth El-Melloi's magic atelier?"

This hotel, as Kayneth's stronghold, must have undergone complete fortification through magecraft. In this building totaling thirty-two floors, Kayneth's bounded field covers twenty-four floors. In addition, there are three magical furnaces for Kayneth's exclusive use, and in place of hounds, there have been summoned ten-odd evil spirits and apparitions. There isn't even a flaw in the drainage pipes; Kayneth completely covered the area underneath the hall with his bounded field.

Instead of attacking enemy territory, it's much better to perfect one's own territory. As for the challenger, who dares to set foot in here, Kayneth will make him realize the real terror of "Lord El-Melloi"

Three minutes later, the Fuyuki Hotel was bombed and ruined to the ground, courtesy of one Kiritsugu Emiya.

Caster was moving as fast as possible. It was a good day. It was a great day, and his mood reflected it. He was incredibly happy. How could he not be? The Holy Grail had granted him his wish. His beloved Jeanne d'Arc had been summoned and together they will commit the greatest atrocities against the name of the cruel God that had allowed her burning at the stake. He will once again at her side, following her commands, that will be as foul and blasphemous as they once were holy and righteous.

Meanwhile, in the Fuyuki Church that was situated near the middle of the great city, an elegant man arrived at the church door.

"Good evening father" Tokiomi greet Risei, he is wearing a classy coat and hat.

"Good evening to you too Master of Archer" Risei replied with a reserved smile.

"Are you here for sanctuary? If I may asked"

"To my shame, yes, I have lost Archer and now asking for sanctuary" Tokiomi replied looking elegant even as he answered.

"Then the church will grant you sanctuary" Risei gesturing for Tokiomi to come inside, the priest let Tokiomi into the hall of the church before opening another passage, then Risei lead Tokiomi to another room deep inside the church.

"Now then, Tokiomi, what do you need?" Risei asked.

"First thing first, please called Kirei, and then we will adjust our strategy to win the Holy Grail" Tokiomi asked Risei.

"Of course" Risei left to called kirei.

Tokiomi now left by himself, is thinking how to salvage his situation.

Kariya, you may be the better Master but I will still win the Holy Grail, Tokiomi thought.
