Alright. We've wrapped the Mage Versus Clan arc, and now, we'll be moving on to something else. I'd like to think that the Danganronpa universe (in its pre-tragedy state) won't stay that way for very long. I'd give 10, maybe 15 more chapters before we move into it the main event. Things are still happening in the Background that Jolyne is not completely aware of just yet, but don't worry about that for now. We're still a good way away before shit gets crazy.

Also, for those who are questioning how this Harem thing is going to work, it's going to be a bit different from how most Harems are, and that is how it is a Reverse Harem. If you don't know what that is, please look it up, because I do not want to write it out.

TL;DR: A Reverse Harem is where 1 girl has several men or women smitten with them, whereas the Girl has no real interest in any of them or only 1 one of the people who are after them. Rarely any more than that.

Now, before we begin, let's go over my response to any comments or reviews I've gotten!

[Response to Reviews/Comments]

(Qoutev) Unlucky the unfortunate magical girl: That was the feeling I was going for. Action and Isekai are my favourite genres, so I'm glad people are picking up the vibes I'm trying to create for this story. Also, thank you for the fanart!

(Qoutev) Taco Sensei: Thank you, my good sir, madam, and or person. But if you thought that was the end of Fuyuhiko's punishment, you have another thing coming. Jolyne was stopped by Nekomaru, after all. Her pettiness knows no bounds, as you will soon find out.

(Ao3) Shine375: Considering what he put her through, I had to do something equal to that in measure.

Now, with that out of the way, Let's begin!

xxXXxxXXxx

[Jolyne Brooks]

There was a distant humming noise that filtered into Jolyne's ears. The last thing that she remembered happening was being rammed into by Nekomaru, and then after that, she agreed to leave Fuyuhiko alone… for now. When all was said and done, she collapsed maybe two, or three minutes later. She honestly couldn't remember just how long she had been out, and that was the scary part.

As Jolyne fully came to, she slowly sat up, cupping her forehead with a shrivelled expression. She was in the medical ward again, except this time it wasn't for a three-month-long coma. She looked over to her right and was greeted with a tray. In the tray were fragments of metal that looked like bullets. There were four bullets all covered and drenched in blood. There were a pair of tweezers next to the bullets, as well as a pair of what looked like pushers.

"Damn rat bastard scumbag Yakuza. Now I know why everyone hates the bastards. They don't cheap out on their hired guns…." Jolyne thought, grunting in pain. She could only assume that there were stitchings in where the bullets were taken out, and therefore she also had to assume that she was out a hell of a lot longer than three minutes. If she had to guess, maybe an hour or so passed if she had been lucky.

Nekomaru Nidai had stopped her torture of one Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu. She was none too pleased about that. She branded a skull on his forehead, just to remind herself where to strike him in the head with a metal baseball bat. She wanted that man to suffer, and to suffer for a good long while. That branding was never going to come off of his head.

The only way the branding was coming off was if someone thinly sliced the skin off and let it scab over. Otherwise, that marking was going to remain there for the rest of his life. A reminder of what he did to her over a spat she had with his sister that wasn't even her fault, to begin with.

A small, sick smile came on her face. The branding wasn't the end of his torture. Absolutely not. Not after what he put her through. While right now wasn't a good time to enact her little revenge plot, she would have to wait. "Oh the ways in which I'll ruin his life will be so catastrophic he'll WISH I killed him instead."

As Jolyne thought those malicious thoughts of hers, she looked down at herself and found that she was completely bare-chested. In fact, she was wearing nothing save for her panties, which apparently had been very… very scandalous. They were the kind a hooker would wear if they had rip-off pants or the kind one would wear underneath a set of lingerie. It was Daimen who picked out what her clothing underneath her hoodie and the like would be, but she never assumed that he would make her, a 16-year-old, wear that!

She could understand the bear-chested thing, though. She couldn't blame whoever did her surgery to take off her clothing, at least her top portion, at least. It was hard to do what appeared to be surgery when someone was wearing clothing. That didn't mean it was any less embarrassing. Out of reflex, she wrapped her arms around her breasts and slammed her legs together to make sure nothing… sensitive… was open to the air, all the while a small tint of red took over her cheeks.

"I would say I'm going to kill Daimen, but even I know I can't…. I'll just give him a very… very nasty talking to instead. And also add appropriate panties to my large shopping list," Jolyne thought, the red slowly dying out of her cheeks as she composed herself. "What is it with Nordic gods and being horny. Seriously? I mean, I know Loki fucked a horse because he was bored, but giving me, a minor, scandalous undergarments? I'm actually kinda scared about what kind of bra he gave me and what it looked like…. Probably something that exposed more than it protected…. I'm also going to add appropriate bras to that shopping list now as well…. Damn it…."

Clearing her head from her thoughts, Jolyne looked around the room. The door was open, meaning someone had just recently left. She didn't know if she completed the quest that The System had given her, but if she had to guess this was supposed to be one of those "scripted cutscenes" in video games. After all, The System pretty much made her life a video game, which would also explain the "tutorial" she was given when she first woke up here.

Not even two seconds later after that train of thought left the station, Mikan walked into the room holding a clipboard in her left hand, and a cup of something or other in her right, furiously reading the clipboard as if her life depended on it while occasionally taking sips from the cup in her right. There were bags under her eyes, and she looked as if she hadn't slept at all for the past two days.

Waiting for the purple-haired nurse to put down her beverage, Jolyne cleared her throat, then spoke. "Why, hello there."

As soon as those words exited her mouth, Mikan practically jumped in place, yelping as she scrambled to catch the tossed-up clipboard. She immediately fell down after somehow getting her foot stuck in a wire, the clipboard slamming in her face. Confusion soon took the dual-haired teen over, her mind racing to think of a way how THAT could happen. Jolyne shook her head, and without thinking, got off of the bed that she had been on—supposedly an operating table—and walked over to help Mikan up, unclenching her legs and revealing her… privates… and bare chest as she strode over to the downed girl.

Had anyone been lucky, or unlucky for that matter, to see that, they'd think something raunchy was about to play out.

"Sorry about spooking you like that, Tsumiki, but I had to get your attention somehow," the dual-haired teen said, unwrapping the cord from BOTH her ankles, despite the fact she only saw one get tied up magically rather than both, but she digressed.

How Mikan managed to pull that off was mind-boggling, but then again she had seen strangers considering the whole mage thing. After doing that, with one arm covering her breasts, and with her legs squeezed together again to not accidentally flash the poor nurse, Jolyne helped the nurse up from the ground.

When Mikan fully came to, her cheeks lit up like a Christmas tree upon seeing Jolyne in her birthday suit. "B-Brooks-san…! Y-You're…!"

"Yeah, uh huh? What about it? Oh, actually, hold on!" Jolyne said, uncovering her chest for a split second, making Mikan blush more. She then put her right hand in Mikan's apron pocket, shaking it to access her inventory. Using her eyes she plopped her usual hoodie, white pants, and black shoes overtop her "avatar" and within the blink of an eye, her clothing appeared on her as if it was always there. Though, as it did, it wrapped around her like a serpent would its prey, rather than just blipping into existence like she thought it would.

She never paid attention to how her clothing actually came onto her body when she used her inventory the first time, but now that she knew, thought it looked pretty cool.

Mikan blinked a few times. Jolyne didn't know what was going on in the flustered teen's head, but whatever it was Jolyne just hoped it wasn't anything too… risqué. The blush on her face slowly died down as she came to her senses, an air of confusion following the nurse. "Y-You… can just manifest c-clothing… just like that?" The nurse questioned, raising an eyebrow as Jolyne shrugged.

"Only if I have it stored in my little pocket dimension. All Mages get one, though only if they're born a mage like I was," Jolyne lied through her teeth, but then again, telling someone you've only known for a day that you have magical video game powers wasn't exactly the smartest thing to do. The fact that she was a mage was dangerous information to have on her, so letting her know TOO much would mean that she'd have to kill Mikan. Jolyne didn't want to do that, because she actually LIKED Mikan, despite her very apparent people issues.

"Those who aren't born a mage have to create one, and that is really difficult to do," Jolyne continued. Technically, what she said was true, but whoever Jolyne Brooks in this universe was before SHE took over the body hadn't been a mage from birth. The soul that now inhabited Jolyne Brooks technically wasn't strictly a mage, but rather a jack of all trades thanks in part to The System.

Although she preferred being a mage over everything else. After all, when she'd play DnD or play MMORPGs she'd always pick The Mage class. Regardless of the semantics behind it, Jolyne never really cared all too much about that kind of stuff.

"W-Wait… d-does that mean a-any of us c-can do what you d-do?" Mikan asked, her curiosity seemingly peaked, which slightly annoyed the mage. Jolyne had a small afterthought in the back of her head, thinking that Mikan's whole stuttering thing was kind of cute. Shaking the feeling away, she cleared her throat and smiled.

"Yeah, anyone of you technically can. Although, you have to open up your Mana reserves to do that. And before you ask, it requires weeks or possibly years of meditation to do so, or so I think… I was born with my Mana pool already unlocked. Gundham has his unlocked and seems like the meditating type, so I'm assuming that's how," Jolyne replied as the nurse was drawn into a form of deep thought, her face adopting a thinking expression, though it quickly melted away as she let out a little sigh barely above a whisper.

"U-Uh… how are you f-feeling? T-The o-operation to g-get the bullets o-out of you went smoothly… u-uh…. You m-might have a damaged l-liver because of it, s-so if you like to… uh… d-drink, then I-I'd suggest n-not to for a c-couple of m-months until it's h-healed," Mikan stated, her tone serious if not a bit stuttery due to her, well, stuttering.

"Don't you worry your pretty little face about that, besides I don't drink anyway. I never understood why people do that. It's basically ingesting poison into your own body just to act stupid for a few hours. Anyways, I'm going on a tangent that I really shouldn't. Thank you, Mikan. I mean it. You seem like the type of person to disregard compliments, so let me make it abundantly clear to you. Even though I could've done this myself, it would've been a hell of a lot more painful. You have a big heart, and being a nurse is not an easy task. I don't know how many people have actually told you this, but, seriously, thank you."

Words could not describe the bubbly joy that appeared on Mikan's face when Jolyne said those words. She looked like a giddy elementary school girl about to get a toy from the toy store, and it warmed Jolyne's heart ever-so-slightly.

"Ah… I-It's lovely to hear that people like m-my work…. T-thank you, B-Brooks-san!" And with that, the purple-haired teenager left. A sigh escaped Jolyne's lips as she watched Mikan through the tinted glass. Unlike her half-hearted acceptance of friendship she had said to Chiaki, Jolyne meant every word of what she said. Being someone who worked in the medical field was a tough job, and they were rarely thanked for it. She knew because her mother… in her past life… was a nurse. That, and Mikan seemed like a nervous wreck. Any sort of compliment would make anyone feel better, even if it was only for a moment.

So many things happened in the span of only five seconds. Countless pop-ups appeared in front of her before she could even read them. Whatever that "cutscene" had been, it had held back ALL of this, and quite frankly, she had been alarmed! From one quest, a supposedly "difficult" one mind you, she gained over 6 whole levels from it! 6! And that wasn't even counting the new stuff, spells, and perks she had received!

She felt LEAGUES stronger than she did before, and she could've sworn that her arms had gained a little bit of muscle from her Strength stat taking a massive boost. Not only that, but she felt more resilient! She had no idea what the hell The System was doing to this body, but it felt AMAZING.

Aside from that, she now had to look at things from her nerdy gamer perspective. While the Debuff was annoying, she was far stronger than anyone at the moment, so it would be a minor nuisance if anything. Besides, she didn't want to be on good terms with a Yakuza anyway. It wouldn't have benefitted her in any way. Strained allies, however, would be a better idea. That, and it would also be something to consider going forward. Having a Yakuza, and the strongest Yakuza in Japan at that, on her side would make for a good scapegoat if something criminal involving her happened.

The perks, however, those were what she was looking at. And by golly-gee christ were they absolutely INSANE! Doctors Blessing and Spreader of Despair were insanely overpowered. While Spreader of Despair wasn't useful on its own, mixing it with Despair Aura was INSANE! Seeing as she was a Remnant of Despair it would help her faction win against the other two. While she hadn't known anyone from that specific faction, seeing as she gained the perk from his mystery person, she had to assume that they were at least part of it.

And then there were the gacha tokens, plus her access to The Mysterious Arrow. She would open those when she got back to her dorm room, which she was in the middle of speed-walking to. Fuyuhiko and her torture session with him would have to wait. She had to get to her dorm room to use these now.

As she walked, she passed by several people who she assumed to be Ultimates, none of which were worth using CHECK on. However, as she did, one of them caught her attention. He didn't look TOO out there compared to the others she had seen, but for some reason, she was drawn to him. Not in a lovey-dovey kind of way, but more of a curious sort of way.

The boy in question had brown hair. He was 5' nothing, or maybe 5' 1 inch if he was lucky. He wore the school's uniform, and he had dark brown eyes. Their eyes met, and when they did, she felt a burning, loathing feeling enter her very soul. Because the eyes she was met with were filled to the brim with hope.

For some reason, the mere idea of the sensation of Hope made her blood boil and her stomach churn. She assumed it had something to do with her being a Remnant Of Despair. And this more than confirmed it. However, just in case she had any doubts that she had found someone who would soon become her enemy, she used CHECK on him.

Name: Makoto Naegi/The Luckster

Level: 1

HP: 50

Stamina: 50

Mana: Null

Faction: Future Foundation

A boy with a strange lucky feeling around him, Makoto Naegi is what one might call a boring individual. If only fate wasn't about to be so cruel to him and turn him into the world's beacon of Hope.

Once again, upon seeing that word, her soul bristled with rage. She quickly stomped it down and deactivated CHECK. He was only Level 1, but then again, as recent events had proven to her, levels meant nothing in this world. If anything, this was designed to be a tutorial world, and build her levels up if anything.

However, the fact that he was alive, and the fact he was her and her faction's enemy meant that he would become troublesome in the future. That being said, she hadn't gotten any quests yet to kill him, so chances were that The System wanted him alive for some reason or another, despite her wishes. She had her morals, and her morals wouldn't allow her to kill an innocent bystander unless she was given a good reason to.

Enemy to her faction or not, Makoto Naegi was no threat to her right now, and she saw no reason to kill him. At least, not yet anyways.

After the tedious walk back to her dorm room was made, she opened the door, entered her dorm room, and then closed it. She had things to do, Gacha's to roll and loot to give. Immediately, she opened her inventory and grabbed the three Gacha tokens. She was going to do those first, then, she would use The Mysterious Arrow.

Was she impatient? Yes. But, she was excited, and excitement meant impatience. Plus, she was willing to risk a 50% chance of death. She had been lucky so far, and she believed in herself. "First, the tokens. Get those out of the way first and foremost!"

Not being one to procrastinate, Jolyne grabbed the first token from her inventory and put it between her fingers. Without giving it any forethought, she began to snap the ring. When she did, it glowed a bluish hue, and when it snapped in half, in place of the coin was a ring. Unlike The Ring of Fire, this one had a blue gem in the center, and the engravings looked more complex. Just like the last time she got an item, a small description came with it.

[Ring of Mana: When worn, this small magical trinket will boost Mana regeneration by 10%]

"That's going to come in handy without a doubt," Jolyne thought as she smiled at the ring. Without missing a beat, she slipped on the ring on the adjacent finger that the Ring of Fire was on, felt a small wave of power wash through her, and then grabbed the next gacha token.

As she began to snap it, it glowed a grey light. Out of its remains came a small rusty dagger. Raising an eyebrow, a small box appeared to describe the item.

[Rusty Dagger: This small little dagger isn't what it used to be, and while it can be deadly, it is also very breakable. Be careful while using it! When stabbing someone or something with the Rusty Dagger, the person will gain a bleed status effect as well as a 5% chance to apply metal poisoning]

"For a common weapon, it isn't bad. Too bad my spells outshine this thing by a metric crap tone. I'll keep it in my inventory. Never know when trivial crap like this will be useful. After all, I think the saying is the smaller the deadlier. At least, in terms of weapons, I think…. Oh well."

As Jolyne finished that thought, the dual-haired teen put the Rusty Dagger into her inventory and then drew out her final gacha token. As she began to break it, it shone a brilliant purple light, and when what it left behind was something… interesting, to say the least. In her hands was a black and white hooded cloak. And, just like everything else, a small description box for the item came into her vision.

[Cloak of Yin and Yang: When wearing this cloak, all magical damage will be doubled based on the wearer's Mg Atk stat. This also doubles Mg Crit but lowers the wearer's Def stat and Mg Def stat]

"Huh… not bad. I'll use this while in the PTD or before a Boss fight. Doubling my magic attack stat and magic crit while lowering defence is typical Mage stuff. Can't complain when it's pretty much common amongst all MMORPGs. Now… time for what I've waiting to use…!" Jolyne said, barely contained excitement in her voice as she drew out The Mysterious Arrow.

While she had no idea of what this thing could do, minus what she was told about it and that it gave her some sort of magical ability completely unrelated to her spells. That was what was important to her, at least, right now it was.

Holding the arrow, Jolyne sucked in a deep breath. "Screw those "Worthiness Quests!" I'm not even going to bother waiting for that crap!" Jolyne thought, drawing her arm out to her left, the tip of the arrow pointed toward her chest. She let out the breath she had held in, her eyes gaining a fierce determination burning within them as she plunged The Mysterious Arrow into herself. The arrow pierced her flesh and sunk into her body, and as it did, a rainbow light flooded out from the arrow, purple electricity sparking from the impact point as the pain quickly surged throughout her body, mind, and soul.

She kept an eye on her HP, Mana, and Stamina bars. And when she blinked, both her Mana and her Stamina bars had been drained completely. Before she completely passed out, however, the last thing she heard was a deep, almost baritone voice ringing throughout her head, one that she wasn't familiar with.

"Kami no mimei ni oite shiri so keru!"

Everything went pitch black.
