Ship
For many people, ships were lifeless things to transport goods and allowed humans to travel across the vast oceans.
For many sailors, ships were the only place they could call home, especially if they were pirates. So, they took good care of their ship. And some ships returned the sailor's favour by going far beyond their limits.
These were the legendary ships.
To Tom, a ship was a living, breathing being. He was mother and father in one person. A ship he built was his child, his responsibility. That's why every hand grip he did while building a ship was done with utter care.
And with the same care, he chose his two apprentices because not everybody could learn the art of building a ship.
Oh, how curious he was to one day see the ships built by Iceberg and Franky.
These ships would be magnificent, Tom was sure.
