Fear

Many people viewed Yassop as fearless, but that was not true.

There were moments in his life when he had felt fear.

The day he proposed to his beloved Banchina, he feared her rejection because a poor man like him couldn't offer her much. His extraordinary shooting skill didn't help him to earn money. Banchina's bright smile melted that fear away.

The months leading up to Ussop's birth, he spent in fear because – fuck – how could he be a father when he never had one himself? What could he teach his child aside from shooting? Ussop's innocent face did let him forget all his fears.

And then, years after leaving his family, he saw his son's face on a bounty poster.

Ussop had followed in his footsteps.

He was a pirate.

Yasopp would see him again.

And fear filled him because Yasopp felt nowhere ready to face his son.
